Everytime we stop in Charleston I have to visit the Pepper Palace. They have salsas, marinades, rubs, spices and best part is you can try all the hot sauces before you buy. A must see when youre in town!

Staff was super friendly and helped guide us to the super spicy stuff. Lots of fun selections and a lot of sauces were actually really good! Decently priced as well

A stop we make each year we visit Charleston. My guys are always pleased with the selection, though we were saddened to see that a long time favorite is no longer in production. Please bring back the Hottentotta! (Did I spell it right?) Super hot but packed with flavor.

They have lots of great sauces. They have free samples of literally everything. I lit mouth on fire with samples alone, then proceeded to by a bottle to die later. 👌

This place is HOT! There are SO many options that you might get lost in the spice. You are guaranteed to find something that you like! And if not, staff always have wonderful recommendations

You can taste all of their hot sauce, wing sauce, seasoning, barbecue sauce and their hottest sauce they keep separated from it all. Friendly staff, good prices, good sauces.

Stopped by here last summer on a visit to Charleston and i was pleasantly surprised. Not only do they let you taste anything you want, they make it all themselves too! Naturally. I was helped by Charles who pointed me toward some really tasty sauces. I ended up doing the deal where you buy ten of anything and get three more free. I will definitely be back next time to resupply! Not everything was hot, but it was all packed with flavor.

I dont like hot sauce, so I was only here to buy gifts. It was laid out really well with hot sauce, spices, and salsas all in their own sections. It was all tagged so you knew the heat level (which made it super easy!)They did have samples of most things but again (not for me!)I got 2 bottles of hot sauce and it was about $20.

Nice staff that’s knowledgeable about the products and very accommodating for letting you try most everything in the store. I personally recommend their salsas over their hot sauce, but your preferences will vary, which you can try and experiment with here.

Delicious sauces and a huge variety.

Friendly helpful staff, even though we walked in as they were closing. We asked for a ghost pepper hot sauce that had flavour as well as heat, and they recommended Holy City Ghost Pepper. Wow! Good heat, sure, but its so tasty!

The Pepper Palace on North Market Street in Charleston is a great place to go for all things hot sauces and spicy substances. I really like the variety and selection of different items that they have available and how they have everything organized. This is a fun place to shop and well worth the visit.

Our family loves spicy. We could eat spicy almost every meal. They have an awesome selection of varying spice levels and the best part is they are categorized by spice level and you can sample everything. Its a little pricey but Im sure worth it once we get to start using.

I want to give this place 5 stars. I went in there a few months ago, before coronavirus, and they had taste tests for all the hot sauces, they had a great selection, and my favorite hot sauce of all time: Chocolate Habanero. I signed a waiver while I was there and ate a very small amount of a very hot sauce that destroyed my intestines for hours. It was awful and fantastic at the same time. Staff was friendly and helpful. I cant say enough about the positive experience I had there. That said, Im detracting a star for one reason, and one reason only. The prices are outrageous. I would expect prices about a third of what I paid. Maybe up to a half of what I paid because customer service was so great. $17 for a bottle of hot sauce is very, very steep. Tourist trap?

So many samples! The person behind the counter was great to help us find the hot sauces that we were most interested in. And we had left with some good sauces, salsas, and spice mixes. Be careful, though, because some of them are VERY hot.

This place is great if youre a hot salsa or sauce fanatic. Great options! Love the samples too. I recommend the death by salsa or reaper salsa if you can handle the heat

This is an excellent place to visit if you like peppers and pepper sauces. They have a great selection from mild to the extremely hot.

Perfect destination for the hot sauce enthusiast. The house sauces are available for sampling. You must be 18 yrs old for the hotter samples. Even the hottest sauces have good flavor before they slap you. There is usually jerky available. The staff is helpful in finding the sauce for your needs (tasting, cooking, jerky making, etc). You can find most brands of sauce here, and a lot that you have never encountered.

I love it. The place is clean and a TON of samples. I just love hot sauce so I couldnt hate it unless the place was unclean. Oh and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

We discovered this place while walking on the King street and decided to go in. We were surprised and overwhelmed to see so many choices for hot sauce! You can try any hot sauce with the tortilla chips provided and we were in hot sauce heaven. Apart from the hot sauce, they also carry lot of other things - salsas, bbq sauce, drink mixers etc. We ended up getting 3 hot sauces (2 for ourselves and 1 for a gift) and 1 blood mary mix. I chickened out at the time of purchase and ended up getting medium hot sauces, which later didnt feel as hot. The bloody mary mix was okay and wont be buying it again. You should visit this place at least once and stack up on some hot sauces.

Almost any hot sauce you can imagine. You can and should sample everything, including the horse radish. Its a game changer!!

I cant eat the stuff like I use to because Ive got ulcers now but love it and like to at least dip my feet in even if I dont jump in over my head

Sign on the door states hours of operation until 6pm. I arrived 10 minutes prior & it was locked, the store worker refused to open it. Why would anyone bother with this place.

We were with the AIDA in Charleston. We had no great expectations of the city, the more we were thrilled!The Pepper Palace fascinated us and we could also take a souvenir for my father in law, who loves spicy food very much. I have never seen a similar store in Germany.
