Walmart may not be my personal fav place to shop...to much walking, long lines, ect. But this Walmart was considerably better. The employees in Lawn & Garden were very helpful. They actually deserve special recognition bc I was lost looking for a planter/ pot & one gentleman/ employee went out of his way to find me exactly what i needed & price checked it for me when I couldnt find anyone else in any other dept to help me. Also, they still had some adorable Halloween costumes for pets!! Glad I went!

Where does the madness end? Monopoly isnt just a board game! Think for a minute, can you name a competing rival chain? Theres one that tries but it cant hit the bullseye. They know theyve got those talons deep but lately it seems Mal-Wart goes out of the way NOT to sell you anything or restock shelves. The frozen food doors were missing several handles. Nitpicking yes, just making a point though. By the way if yall havent noticed check out the video camera security screens while youre in line(there will be one...more on that below.) Recording isnt enough anymore so lets go full NCIS body scanning! Stack that on top of the fact it now takes 4 employees to work the self checkouts because of the constant store codes thas to be entered for the most mundane items. One of those does nothing but point and tell you a checkout opened. Sorry, but Im next in line and can clearly see when someone is finished. Putting the last bag in your cart is a pretty tell tell sign! For what a 40lb. bag of dog food, every other grocery item scanned and a Mr.. Goodbar? Yet all those other front of store registers remain closed! The cherry on top all of this, youre still thought of and treated as a thief until you walk through the security beeper gates. Take a look around the next time youre in there youll see🙂

Terrible at stocking product. Plenty of quantity on the app but you can never find it in the store. This is how they keep their hardware department, for example. Im sure that pack of screws is here SOMEWHERE... but honestly it would be faster just to go to Lowes. Yeah... go ahead and blame it on covid!

Online Inventory is not accurate, no one will answer phones. Drove all the way there for nothing. Dont bother they dont have Rotella 15-40 or even a car service center anymore

They never answer the phone just hang up on you, and after 3 days of waiting on my food order to be delivered (past the day and time it was supposed to be) and store just hanging up everytime i called i just cancelled and said i will never use this store or go to ever again.

I am so disappointed with the experience my family and i had today. we had a pickup order for noon, and we got a notification from walmart saying it was done at 11:40. they had 5 substitutions of products; and when my mom denied them; they still put them into our cart and charged us for them! by 12:15, we called and asked what happened & talked to an employee who said that they needed to grab one more item, even though they said the order was ready. by 12:30, we called a second time; and got denied entirely. it took 45 minutes for us to get our groceries , and were over charged for things we didn’t even purchase. disappointing

Its a Walmart. Tons of selections, never Amy cashiers at the registers so the lines for checkout are unnecessarily long.

First of all, dont come here expecting to pay with cash unless theres very few people shopping. People are waiting in lines for half an hour just so they can use cash. Not a single one of the plentiful self-checkout lanes accepts cash. Its ridiculous and theres honestly no excuse for that considering how busy this store gets.Second, this store has a serious problem with stocking. There are multiple items I cant get here because theyre constantly out of stock. It would be best to figure out what day and time the store gets their shipments in so you can actually get all the items you need.Third, the employees that are shopping for pickup customers are always in the freaking way. So youve got other customers in the way, dragging their feet, plus the employees doing pickup orders. Its not the employees fault at all, but it sure is annoying when youre trying to get in and out of the store quickly (good luck with that).Fourth, management needs to do a better job of training their employees. There are times when I really need someone to assist with the self-checkout lane but no one is around. Then times when I ask where an item is and the employee has no idea. I mean, Walmart has literally endless amounts of profits, they can afford to give their employees better training (and a living wage while theyre at it). Maybe then there would be enough checkout lanes for everyone without having to wait 30 minutes!Basically, this store is horrible and I only shop here because its cheaper than every other store.

Ugh! This used to be one of the best around, but now the shelves are often bare, it is unkempt and feels dirty. Each shopping trip gets more frustrating. There is a positive, the quality of the produce has improved! Oh! And I love the Scan & Go.

This store is at best, pathetic. Almost all shelves were bare. Pallets in isles making it difficult to get to items. Staff standing around talking and looking at phones. I wanted to purchase a bike and was told if its not out on display it would be 2 hours until I could get it. When it states clearly that it was in stock. Thats insane. And the service lady I spoke to said if I couldnt wait 2 hours than maybe I should just buy it online and have it shipped. Well as I told her, that particular bike doesnt ship to house its only availability was to pick up in store. Walmart is going to hell in a hand basket and their employees obviously dont give two s*#!s

Walmart was crowded as usual... I needed you to return a phone to electronics department... The lady that sells the phones from Walmart is absolutely wonderful. Shes very patient, knowledgeable and efficient. I had no trouble making my return. It all went smooth as glass

It was Awesome. I needed a price check for our new swimming pool and I went to Customer Service whereas a young man was able to give me a price check in a VERY timely manner. He knew the price by memory.

The employees are trying to make the best out of this situation and working very hard. The biggest problem is product availability, many times being out completely of things. Just some information this location is not the only store with product problems, all stores such as Publix, Harris Teeter are still having this issue. But that is due to Covid so no one can be angry at the store or employees.

Many shelves empty, minimal number registers open, nobody to help you, long lines at checkout,. Walmart should consider temporarily closing one of the stores in Charleston so they can fix the remaining stores, increase their pay rates and bring in responsible workers.

The wait times for curbside are ridiculous. If they are that short staffed they should accept less orders. I waited an hour after my order was supposed to be ready to even get my order. I gave an extra star because the young lady was doing the best she could and was very nice. The couple of times we have shopped inside so much is out of stock.

Location is ideal, but the shelves week after week are empty and today I pickup my first mobile order and it was missing so many items. Some employees are very cheerful and helpful, but a majority make me feel Im an inconvenience or they hate their jobs.

Stock is sometimes lacking, but the distance is convenient and its always clean. Cant shop in a dirty store.

Literally hate coming here. The parking lot looks nice and very spacious, the semi- attached gas station has the best prices in West Ashley, but those are the only redeeming features of this Walmart location. Shelves are askew, low or nonexistent stock at all times. Unboxed product is found in almost every aisle. Its dirty unkempt and always packed inside.

The young lady was very polite. It took so long. But she kept apologizing. I had problems with this order last night. They emailed me to let me know it was ready 2 minutes after they closed. Half of my order was not there. Walmart use to have the order right in the beginning but as the pandemic continues Walmart declines in services. I gave it a 1 star because the young lady was so polite but the overall trumps the niceness

I like the Walmart Supercenter in West Ashley and it is one of my favorite Walmarts in the Charleston area. This Walmart is very large and has just about everything you could need all under one roof which is great when you want to just stop once and not go to multiple places. I really like the design of this Walmart as it looks cool on the outside with a tower like structure that gives a little more coolness than the typical box store feel. This store always seems to be clean and well maintained and this important to me in a Walmart. There is also a quick and efficient checkout process that has enough self checkouts and people checkouts to keep the lines moving and allow you to leave and purchase all of your items fast.

I so glad I found this near our hotel. Being able to go here allowed me to get the vegetables and dressings I needed for my daily salads; and the items for breakfast (lunch was provided for the trip we had that week). Ill know where to get everything I need when I go down there again!

Went to exchange 2 things today. Was told no returns are being accepted for the next hour as the employee that does returns is on her lunch break. WHAT?!?! This was from a manager, there was a line of 5 people. The manager looked at us & she just walked away. No Im sorry, I wish I could help.... Ill never go back?

Blahhhhh I cant stand what walmart has done. There hours are horrible especially on the weekend closing at 11 and without a 24hr walmart now. What happens to the poor people that have an emergency and absolutely need something for there child late at night. Idk about you but the gas stations and 24hr pharmacys are a joke....... Huge store with lots of options. It has a McDonalds, Regal Nails, Woodforest bank, and an optometrist inside. And is more organized. My one stop shop for most of my household needs.

I had to return several items and the lady working in customer service was quick and efficient. The store is clean and, overall, well stocked.

I normally don’t go out of my way for reviews but I had to tonight! I didn’t catch the The name of the person who brought out my groceries at 7pm tonight but he was an absolute gem! He had such a great attitude and just such a nice demeanor. He even made such a sweet comment about an item I had in my trunk and it just tickled me. I would definitely recommend hiring so many more like him because it definitely made my night just by getting my groceries delivered to my trunk thank you so much to whoever this young man was you were awesome!

I feel like you have to grade Walmarts on a curve. I hardly ever see anyone here I strongly suspect is a serial killer or No homeless people living in display tents in the camping section. So 4 Walmart stars? Maybe they should be bronze stars instead of gold?

Worst Walmart I’ve ever been too as far as customer service and the lines. If you only got cash they make you go to the one register they have open with a older lady working it. I’m there now been waiting a hour and still 5 people ahead of me this is horrible. It’s been this way for 2 years now. They have 22 self checkouts open but one isle for cash. They need to fire whoever is the manager hear this isn’t the only problem expired meat and lots of other things but the line is the worst. DO NOT GO TO THIS WALMART AT ALL!!!!!!!

I ordered groceries for delivery and they were never delivered to me. When I called to enquire they said that they didnt have a driver available and that my order was lost. When i asked when i could expect to have my groceries they said it was too bad and that they would give me a refund and i could come shop in store. This is not possible as I have a baby with a cough so i need to stay home per covid guidelines, i just moved to this city two days ago and I have NO FOOD for my children and no means to get them any. When i explained my unique situation they said they couldnt do anything about it. Which is frankly unacceptable and a little human compassion would go a long way. I offered to come pick up my groceries instead of delivery and they said that was also not possible. So im stuck bringing my sick child into the store or not having food to feed them at all. To add another layer to this NOBODY called me and told me what was going on, I had to call several different numbers to figure out that they werent going to help me, nobody called me to tell me my order was lost.

Typically a very good experience. Shopping on Sundays, the aisles will often be empty and shopping after 8 or 9, the self checkouts will be off and you will have to wait in one of 2 lines forEVER to get rung up by a cashier. Outside of that, very fast and easy experience. Zero problems in 8 years.

Online this item shows that it is in stock. Surprise! When I get to the store it is not in stock. Why? Because associates have not performed a correct inventory report. Who suffers? The customer as always. Because I dont care how many fancy commercials are shown on TV the last thing the Walmart corporation cares about is the customer.

This is location and the Walmart in mount pleasant are the cleanest Walmart’s around the Charleston area it’s always nice to visit one of these two places. I won’t even discuss North Charleston that’s for another day.

Worst customer service on earth. Management all have the same bad attitude and lines are long as shelves are slow to be reloaded. I am getting used to Amazon against my will. Sam Walton would be so proud

I love doing my grocery shopping here. I place my order online, go to the store to pick it up, and they even load it into my car for me. Could it be any easier? Not only that, but their prices are among the lowest around. My only warning is about ordering produce, sometimes you can get something past its prime.

Don’t buy fresh food here. Always expired and they don’t seem to handle it properly.

I will no longer do grocery pickup here. Every single time I have ordered online groceries, I have had to wait for at least 30 minutes once I arrive. Many times my order is not even ready in the pickup time. There are always so many cars waiting, so why are there only 2 people working the grocery pickup Dept at a time? Good luck calling them (or ANY department in this Walmart), because no one will answer. I used to go to the Rivers Ave Walmart which is NOT the best, but I have never had to wait like I have at this one. Absolutely ridiculous. Oh, and the last few times I have picked up, I have gotten home only to discover multiple items were missing. I do not recommend ordering online groceries here unless you feel like waiting for 30 mins to an hour once they say your order is ready.

Going to this Walmart is convenient because its close to where I live it is a horrible place the shelves are always empty as you can see through the pictures there flour everywhere they never have any of the things that you want items are always misplace and to get an associate to show you something or answer a question as to where it could be its a walk through several aisles because there are more self checkouts then employee you would think they would use employees keep the shelves stocked and clean

Poorly stocked, items are rarely priced, no price checkers, self checkout is card only, so anyone paying using cash has to use one of the two lines that they have open. I found this to be the case at other Walmarts as well. I have avoid shopping here whenever possible.

I had a incident with one of the guys getting carts and tried 11 times to call the store with not one time having my calls answered! I was there with my daughter and he was ranting about a fellow co-worker not coming on and was using words to describe what he wad goingntondo to him with his genitals this was not going to happen in front of my little girl. I hope that someone sees this and takes action.

I wish I could leave zero starssss. This place is superrrrrr horrible wait time is superrr ridiculous. Night time is worst with only one cashier it’s super bad. I hope they close down soon.

They close at 23:00, but as of 22:00, they seem to go down to a single register (all self-scan closed). After waiting 15 minutes for 1 of the 50 people in line to complete their checkout, they began to haphazardly reopen a few self-scan stations, but didnt take people from the front of the line, seemingly preferring the chaotic rush. I was not the only one to abandon my shopping, but the lines were still unbelievable as we left.

Found everything I needed. One door in the other door out. Lots of sanitizer for carts and hands. An employee at each door directing people to enter correctly. Felt safe and protected. Everyone I saw had on a mask.

The worst Walmart I’ve ever been too by far me I’ve lived in California, Arizona Maryland Virginia Georgia and Alabama because I was in the military. This is the only Walmart that at anytime of the day that I’ve seen that has 13 self checkouts open but only only one isle that takes cash so there is literally one big line with 19 people in it having to wait while I’ve counted 7 Walmart employees just standing around. No one including the manager has realized this major inconvenience that they have created for their shoppers. We shouldn’t have to come here and take 10 minutes to shop then spend a hour and a half waiting in line. I’ll never go to Walmart again for food my family is at home starving right now and here I am a hour and a half later still waiting.

Dont but any electronics from this awful location. They just steal your money for electronics that break soon after the purchase. I hate this store and the people that work here.

The tire center technicians and very knowledgeable. They help me remove a sawzall blade from my tire. Thank God it did not leak.

Delivery is horrible, 2 to 3 hours behind in Delivery. Ive had many items not be in my order and then Walmart doesnt want t refund my money, especially on items $20 or more
