Amazing how few mirrors are in Womens clothing. You need to go a couple of departments over, or find the dressing rooms (which have probably not been cleaned since pre-COVID due to staffing issues). Also be warned that the 50s, 60s, and 70s have exploded. Very hard to find anything worth trying on.

Had to get an entire suit. the young lady behind the counter was amazing. let me get on the phone with my girlfriend to use her card for the 20% off and showed me how to go on the website for another 25% off. $450 SUIT FOR $249. Jacket, slacks, 2 ties. and shirt. oh and belt!!! Dillards wanted over $700.

I wish i could give this establishment 5 stars, but unfortunately i was greeted with the most disrespectful employee. I believe her name was Ruth, but she was not listening to any of my concerns and as soon as i asked a question, she dismissed me and told me that i did not know what i was talking about. I began to feel frustrated, and she put her hand in my face to keep me from speaking. And then she had the AUDACITY to walk away from me in the middle of my transaction. When she came back she brought back an equally terrible manager by the name of Brenda. They were both disrespectful and put a bad rep on the company. If i ever step a foot in that store again, it will be for the good employees NOT Brenda or Ruth. Do better.

I was making a return on an item to Jessica in Customer Service upstairs. She found my purchase on the system but asked if it was the one with Godiva chocolate. I had asked for a price check and did not buy the chocolate. I asked her if I could get a refund for the chocolate bar I never bought. She said she couldn’t and finally said she would call a manager. When Ruth came, she printed the receipt to review the items and said that I was not charged for the bar. I asked her to compare what was on the screen that Jessica saw and what was printed. Jessica had an attitude and comments about it not being her fault and just kept talking under her breath. Ruth witnessed this and said she will talk to her. A person like Jessica is not made for Customer Service and should be removed. I thanked Ruth for her assistance in resolving the issue.

It was a pleasant night. I went in to pick up my package however, I also did some shopping! Great deals nice staff. Came home with lots of goodies...and had a nice time doing it! Went expecting great deals for Valentines and Presidents Day. No Sales ads. Cashiers were clueless. Told me to look for sale signs. Not much to choose from. Not really any bargains. I can see why JC Penney is close to closing for good. I wont be back.

Dont do much shopping these days because I find it depressing. Penneys has great sales and the store is normally a madhouse of shoppers. Since Covid, malls are ghosts of their former selves, and its not their fault or intent. They are trying to keep shoppers safe and healthy so we can shop again one day soon. Hopefully Penneys will be having a welcome back sale to celebrate.

I ordered curbside and was satisfied with my purchase and service. Within the next 5 minutes of me adjusting the settings on my phone, I was approached by a different JCP employee, an older black and white haired lady with glasses and a strong sense of entitlement. She kept knocking on my window while barking that I couldnt park there because it was for curbside only. I told her I knew that but she kept knocking on my window. I told her to go away but she persisted. I was the only car and there were other vacant curbside spots available. She wouldnt leave until I pressed my JCP bag against the window. The most disturbing experience ever. Ive never feared for my safety like this over a parking space.Update 7/24/21: The store manager contacted me and ensured that he would resolve the issue. His customer service and responsiveness spoke volumes. I am appreciative.

Went here to find my mother a gift, just because and ended up shopping for every body during Christmas time. Just recently went back to get my mom a gift card, because this is one of her favorite stores... I love their prices and sections for kids.

We had an awesome time shopping at at JC Penney this weekend, the associates were wonderful and patient, and those sale prices were right on time for the items we purchased!

I had the most rude experience with associate and how she is working with the public is beyond me. Why do people get angry when they are not provoked. This is America, if you dont like tour job, find one that you are more suited for.

I can see why J C Penny’s is losing money. The escalator to the second floor was broken. They could have put signs directing you to the elevator. But they did not. Then when we got to the drapery department no one was there. We waited about twenty minutes no one showed up. We are going to order our drapery from Lowe’s or Home Depot. Probably will never go back again.

JCPenney at Northwoods Mall in North Charleston is a great place to shop for clothing and home goods. They have really good values and sales and discounts on their items and plenty of selection available. I like that there are two levels to this store and I enjoy riding on the escalator which is the only one in Northwoods. The staff here is very friendly and helpful in making sure that you find what you need and there are plenty of registers available when you are ready to checkout. This JCPenney has been consistently good since it opened.

I like shopping at JCpenney for myself, my family and holiday gifts. The store associates are kind, helpful and best of all is the good quality and prices of merchandise. I do think the store could use some updating and things shouldnt be so cluttered. I shop with a child in a stroller and a lot of things I cant get to because there isnt enough room to maneuver around things or even down a straight isle.

Up to 80% off my wife went wild, JC Penney is like part of the family theyve been around for years and years and a carry products that you know and trust. You definitely want to come you ever once in a while just to check, 60 to 80% off on quite a selection of clothing caught our attention

Hard to find help. 1 assistant only answered questions and pointed us in the right direction. We did find a helpful associate who was willing to stop what she was doing to help us, so she more than made up for everything.

Great place to shop at.

The store could use a bit of help. Employees may need a bit more training in what they are selling in their departments. Clothing is not organized by size on the racks. The store may be a little short staffed since there were lines at every register. Quality of clothing is good, I just think the store could benefit from a little more organization.

I love JcPenney. They have good quality clothing and sales that make them affordable at times too. The customer service at the register was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, I am rating it a 3 because it is almost impossible to find someone to help you. In addition, the mens dress shirt section is a disaster. Most shirts on top of piles are orderly but the sizes and styles are intermixed and there were many times I had to crawl under shelving to dig through piles of shirts that were on the floor...very dusty. Due to shirts being mixed and not being reorganized many fell by the wayside into no mans land. This caused sale confusion as well. I still made a purchase because the quality and sale price cant be beat. Unfortunately it just takes a good amount of time to dig through all of the stacks.

The ladies at the salon were absolutely amazing. I had just had brain surgery and the surgeon did a number on my hair. I thought I was going to have to shave half of my head. The ladies there took time and creative thinking and saved my hair! They made me feel like it wasnt silly to be worried about my hair after surviving brain surgery. Thanks girls!

I havent had Levi jeans since I was a teenager saw the sign said buy one get one 50% off however when I got to the register one was already on sale for $13.99 and the other was $59.00. So it wasnt really a sale...

I always purchase curtains at Penneys whenever I need new ones. Recently, I needed hardware to install a pleated shade purchased at JCPenney over 2 years ago. The shade had come with hardware but I lost It somehow. I took the shade into the curtain department to see if I could order replacement hardware and was informed that the model of shade I had had been discontinued and I could not order parts. The saleslady called a manager who did some research on the computer and went to search a back room. She came out with a small box of hardware that worked on my shade perfectly! I have always liked the styles and quality of the curtains sold at Penneys and I love that the salespeople went out of their way to help me. This is not the first time they have been helpful like this. It is always a pleasure to shop in the Northwoods Mall JCPenney store!
