This is a Publix store. If you’ve ever been in a Publix before. Then you will see that this is exactly like the other ones! Honestly, I’m only leaving this with you because I’m trying to get to a higher Google status! However, I figured I would leave a nice five star review on my recent experience at this location. I’m sure you will also enjoy your experience here too.

Very pretty and clean building, The prices like most Publix stores can be pretty high, maybe even higher than other stores due to it being on the coast populated with a high tourist traffic, and being in a generally expensive area. Nonetheless, like most publix stores, the employees were kind its also nice going inside a Publix because it so consistent with its services. A Publix is almost like a Chick-fil-A for groceries, except they are generally open on Sundays.

We have a lot of grocery stores on James Island, but this Publix is so beautiful and brand new and really well stocked. It also has self checkout, which the older one on the island doesnt. The shopping center here is adding lots of new restaurants and services, which is making this a convenient place to stop when running errands on this side of Folly Road. Also a great stop for subs on the way to the beach!

Very friendly staff! During a recent family beach trip, visiting from the Charlotte area and Kansas City, Mo.; the bakery helped me with a birthday cake when a highly rated (?) local bakery canceled our order with short notice. We ordered a carrot cake for our daughter and they decorated it beautifully! It was delicious and everyone loved it! Thank you Publix! Y’all are awesome!

The food was ok. Disappointed with the deli workers and deli manager. I ordered party trays prior to my visit. I arrived and most of my preorder was not done. My order was all called in all together three days prior, I am not sure why this was a issue. Approx. 3 hours prior to my arrival some one called me to notify that they ran out of regular fried chicken and that they only had spicy. I asked if they could call another store up the street to cook my order and I will pick up at the location. I needed their assistance since it was less than a 24 hr notice now. The employee placed me on hold, return on the phone and stated that the original (current) location had enough regular chicken and to pick up at their location. Arrived at order pick up and only my chicken was available, NO sub ring, fruit or vegetable tray. I waited about 30 mins as they already gave me the chicken (which was getting cold) while they figure out they did not have the rest of my order. I explained I called it all in together how would they NOT have it? The manager for deli stated I can go to produce and find already made trays that were smaller than my call in order request. I was not happy with this. Get to the register and no label on the chicken I had to wait another 5-10 mins for the manager to bring a label. At this point I advised her my chicken is cold after all this waiting due to all their mix up. She stated I helped you to find the trays in produce what more do you want me to do? At this point I was feed up with the nonchalant attitude so I left. Now here is the kicker...... get to the beach house for our girls night party... and the chicken they gave me was SPICY fried chicken need less to say less than half of it was eaten because the ladies complained it was too spicy. SMH. Try the other location for deli platters. We were from out of town, thus was a major disappointment considering my hometown area (Greenville, SC) Publix is usually have quality party platters and customer service. I catered a whole birthday party in October from Publix. This location needs retraining of the deli department.

The deli is slow but the food is good. I recommend ordering ahead online. And please confirm your location! I witnessed 2 people arrive for food that was actually ordered from another location in the half hour that I waited for my salad. On this day it wouldnt let me order online, so call ahead.

Love the new Riverland Market Publix.I can find most products there I cant find anywhere else. Friendly, courteous & helpful employees.Ive been super impressed with the Pharmacys staff & concern for my health & well-being.I highly recommend. Publix Super Market.

I had a great sub. The deli man very friendly.

Moderate size, good deals, and great prices. Especially for being a scenic area with droves of tourists, they were well stocked for locals and the customer service was phenomenal. Where the self checkout machine failed, the self checkout employee overcame and shined. Will return for vacation groceries!

Love shopping at Publix, but disappointed they havent reacted to new CDC recommendations that masks be worn indoors in areas with substantial or high viral transmission rates.Charleston County falls in that category, but no mask requirement and fully half the shoppers there today were not masked. Willavoid shopping there for the duration.

Clean, neat, and the staff was extremely helpful! They found what we were looking for in the back since the shelf was empty. Checkout was great also!

I dont shop at Publix unless I have to. Fortunately, that is never. Its definitely clean. Which at their price point it should be.I just always feel like Thurston Howell, III greets me at the door.Most everything is overpriced, imo.

Got my 2nd CV vaccination shot here. The pharmacy is set up very nice. I regretfully cannot remember the name of the pharmacist who gave me the shot… but the lady with the blonde hair is the ninja of needle sticks. I am a baby about shots and she was very good- literally felt nothing.

Publix is the best grocery store around, not the least expensive but definitely the nicest.

Lots of variety of products. Some very friendly and helpful staff. We bought the chicken marsala family meal and a broccoli and cheddar side dish and they were so good! They also make their own iced tea and lemonade in several varieties. We got the peach tea. Very good.

Got married at Folly. Ordered sheetcake from here to ceebrate. Have to honestly say it was the worst decorated and worst tasting cake ive ever had. I am a cake decorator in a grocery store and we would never let a cake go out that looked like that.

The people here are helpful, and what can I say? Its Publix. Its a good place. Id like to see what its like when the other little businesses fill in next door.

This is a brand new store with their new design. It is set well off the road so you may have to look for it. But it will be worth it. Don’t forget the ready to eat food and food to go. There is also a pharmacy.

Publix recently added some baked chicken wings to there boxed chicken display and they are awesome. Great location close to the highway however it is not close to the interstate access area. This location is located close to various types of stores and businesses located in and around the area.

Always pleasant. Store is always organized and clean. The customer service is great, employees always helpful and friendly. I love the guy in the sushi section. He always makes the best poke and sushi.

I always go to Publixs deli for my meat and cheese. Boars HEAD rules. This time in particular the customer service was awesome. Thanks Clinton its nice to have someone serve you who actually cares about their job and actually enjoy it. Im posting this largely due to the terrible service I received my last visit. The employees were to busy talking to each other notice I was there and when they did notice they asked me to wait. Then continued talking. I gave up and left. I called the store, gave them my number and was told a manager would contact me. Never did. So kudos Clinton for keeping a loyal Publix guy.

I had BEST experience in the Publix in Folly Rd this evening. Every single employee was so friendly. My son was having a rough time with it being VERY close to dinner time and 2 employees went out of their way to grab him a cookie and banana and wonderful cashier gave him a sticker. It was immaculately clean and well stocked. We’ll definitely be choosing this store more regularly!

Publix on Folly Road in James Island is a really good grocery store experience. I have been impressed with the store every time I have shopped here. I like the location and layout of the store as it is easy to get to and access as well as find everything you need. The bakery and meat department here really stand out. I am happy that this store is here and look forward to being able to shop in a quality store.

The email ad on my phone stated a bunch of specific. I get to the store & about 1/2 of them were right. The other 1/2 are for next week. So, I bought 1/2 what I planned to.

Riverland Publix does everything right for minimizing covid-19. Better yet, their patrons seem to as well. This afternoon was the busiest I had seen this supermarket (probably due to July 4th shopping) and yet I couldnt find one person not wearing a mask or not being cognizant of distancing. Made my day!

This new store is great! Clean, new, and well organized. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Not as crowded as the other Publix on the island.

I ordered deli meat on line today asked for it to be very thin and on the liverwurst I asked for it to be very thin with paper between the slices and all five items I ordered where on the thick slice and no paper between the slices it’s like they didn’t bother to read instructions

The store is very clean and the staff have been nothing but friendly. The lady in the deli who helped us with meat and cheese was very helpful and knew her cheeses and meats very well and was fun and friendly. Parking has never been an issue. The only downside is its hard to see from the road with all the construction of the new buildings out front.

This store is taking covid19 seriously. I like how they wipe and sanitize the carts. Aisles are marked by directional arrows. Prices seem high but food has gone up everywhere. New store so everything is new and clean. Staff is always friendly.

Staff exponentially nicer and more helpful than any other grocery in Charleston; I am hooked on their store brand chicken pot pies In deli area and organic carrots with the tops on, Publix brand already cooked bacon and Chicago bread!! If you’re interested in a super fantastic cake the chantilly is awesome. Prices are not outrageous and boho deals abound!!

I have only used home delivery and the pharmacy. Everyone was accommodating.
