Updated look and added self check out. Improved. No complaints. Near capital and down street near McDonalds, taco bell and a few other food chains. I will visit again

Normally only one cashier working. Plus side there is a self check out. Store is always clean and well stocked.

I just bought two gallons of milk that should have stayed fresh for two more weeks but they were already spoiling when I bought them. If you like fresh milk, shop elsewhere.

Its a dollar store. I dont expect much and I get pretty much what I expect. Good for cheaper cleaning supplies and a good place to get basic food quick and the other items a dollar store is noted for. I gave some issues with the way they stack merchandise in the aisles and some of the time you get an employee who has an attitude, but it is what it is.

My first time at this store was the previous night. The store was VERY crowded. Yet, the shelves were stocked, and employees were extremely helpful to me. I had to make a return do to noones fault but my own .The manger the next morning was polite and made my return (with my receipt) very quick and easy.

Just moved to the East End and started going here. They got everything you need and forgot you wanted a long time ago. The staff seems seasoned to be so kind and patient. Neiborhood corner stores are fading to data... But East End Charleston has a melting pot small store packed with deals.

Decent store for a quick in an out shopping trip, they got me through the checkout rather quick and I found everything pretty easily.

This is my local Dollar General. I like our store here! The majority of the staff are very friendly & helpful. They have their hands full w people coming in off ths streets trying to steal. They handle it properly & safely to the best of theor abilities to keep the other customers safe.

They took away all the clothing and apparel, I bought lots from there.

A good DG,they have a vast assortment of everything.the store always seems crowded .i think the aisles are narrowed.no customer bathroom. Had to. It my shopping short and look for facilities elsewhere the other day I spent$45.00,just things you need.....

The staff Ive dealt with here are great. Theyre friendly and upbeat and willing to help. But, the secutiry at this location and the upkeep of the building and grounds leaves a lot to be desired. While the security is tough at times; Its definitely a visual sore spot for the east and much of this seems like it could be reasonably addressed by management.

They have a huge variety of things. & they have name brand products as well. Prices are relatively good. 😊😊

Expensive for a dollar store.. Better off going to Krogers.. Good for convenience and service. The workers are nice!

They need to keep their aisle picked up and more organized. I was looking for a pair of shoes and when I would pick up a pair things would fall to the floor. They also need friendlier employees

Newer Dollar General layout could be a bit better, staffs is okay. The area clientele, meh .. consider this is the East End of Charleston. Everyone needs a dollar or change, wish the riff raff would pan handle some where else.

Staff was friendly and courteous. Checkout was a breeze. I really appreciated the clerk checking the lid on my liquid soap to make sure it was tight. Store was a huge mess though. Very difficult to find a way around everything.

Some workers cool the old timers...some rude. a lot of the workers dont know the price drops and Ive seen them argue with several people especially on the soda 3 for 11. Smdh. I walked off with out my milk one time went back the next day they argued me that I did not leave it. I had my receipt.

Ok to a point...light bulbs are to expensive! You can get a 4pk at $$Tree for a $1, not $4.

I really like the concept of dollar stores. Maybe thats because Im poor. I can go in there and buy a 2 L of Hawaiian Punch, get 6 lighters, and still have enough to buy questionable substances later.

Probably the slowest dollar General i have ever been too. It always takes forever to get checked out even if there isnt many customers. There are always shady looking people hanging out front of the store and Trash/cigarette butts everywhere. I only go there when i have too. driving to a different location is always the better choice!!

The workers there are not very nice, they talked to you like you were gonna steal things and were making smart ass comments. Like the one guy told someone when he walked in. To take his shoes and jacket off and told another guy today is not a good day to steal from me because I will run you down who does that. I had my 13 year old son with me and the last told him next time he comes in to not be touching all the stuff of he wasnt gonna buy it.. I understand that they probably have a lot of stuff get stolen there but they do not have to treat every one that walked through the door like criminals.. It was the worst experience at a store I have had ever..

We visit Dollar General just a couple times a year they usually are pretty friendly. The store is sometimes cluttered in the isles where people just dont care where they put things they decided they dont want ya know an maybe clerk just hasnt had chance to put things back in place. But as long as ya just pay attention to stuff you should be alright. Also there are times you go & they are just out of stock of several items & theyre boxes sitting around waiting to be put away & that does chap my hyde ya know.

Hair, nail, beauty, summer stuff, coolers, plates, cups, plastic ware. Books, toys, games, clothing. Kitchen ware. Pet supplies. Snacks, drinks, shoes. Lawn and garden supplies. Chairs, grills, umbrellas, citronella candles, bug spray. Back to school supplies.
