I will start by saying the store is extremely clean and very organized. Without help you can easily navigate throughout the store. The lady working the counter was an absolute delight to deal with. Very friendly very inviting kind of got that home feeling, which is weird considering I was only in there maybe 60 seconds. Whatever management is doing its working.

Do NOT trust your treasured items to be sent by this UPS location! I took a car load (full SUV) of photo albums, framed photos/portraits, framed awards, tons of family memorabilia gathered from the home of a dear deceased friend to sent to her only living relative in AZ. The UPS staff at the Chapel Hill Fordham Blvd location assured me they would safely and securely wrap everything up, box it and ship it safely. I was charged for those services plus the shipping. See the photos of how the boxes arrived - things were just dumped into large boxes that arrived torn and wet with items inside smashed and soaked.So much for customer service. I will be filing claims and submitting formal complaints through all levels of UPS management. This is the worst shipping experience I have ever had.Again, DO NOT CONSIDER THIS UPS LOCATION if your items are of any value to you or to the recipient of your shipment!

Great service. I had taken loose candies to mail and worried how to pack. The lady at the counter did everything in 5 min. Service was very fast, reliable, super friendly and very contrary to my experience with the USPS.

This store is amazing. Krystal the manager has wonderful customer service skills. She is very interactive with those who come in. You can tell she loves what she does. As far as the staff, everyone was simply having a good time. Not only were they working, they were singing, dancing and getting us all involved. If I had to wait I couldn’t tell how long because I was enjoying how involved they were. My copy job was extensive and the cost was very reasonable. The lowest in the area for what I needed. I will continue to come to this store. What a great experience!

[See addendum below added after posting the incident here at top. Adjust ed from 3 stars to 4]I use this store on many occasions and have always had very good and friendly service. Today I had an experience there that I wanted to report. Durham and Orange county (NC) government officials put out a statement: Customers and employees entering any store or restaurant are required to wear a face mask starting Friday. (June 12) The store had a prominent sign saying that masks were required to enter the store. A lady going in before me did not have on a mask and I asked her didnt she want to be wearing one. She rather sharply told me to mind my own business. I raised the issue with the clerk on duty questioning wasnt there a policy to not serve customers w/o a mask. The clerk sided with the customer. After conducting my business, on the way out a UPS delivery man came in w/o a mask. Raised the same issue with him and the clerk asked me to leave.I hope corporate is seeing this. This lack of responsibility will certainly delay any kind of recovery._____________________ ADDENDUM _______________________This thread has gotten so long, that I thought Id add the owner (Kalpesh Amin)s reply to my report of the incident in his store. Its down below, but probably not seen by a lot of people. I appreciated his reply and, again, appreciate having a public forum where a concern can both the expressed and addressed.Mr. Amins reply:Mr. Bryan, Thank you for your post. My name is Kal, the owner of The UPS Store on Fordham Blvd and a Blenheim Woods resident. I want to sincerely apologize for your experience at our store today. As you stated, we truly strive to make all our customers experience as positive as possible.We do have a strict policy of Face Masks Required at our store. We have even posted big signs to inform all customers. However, it has been terribly challenging to enforce as many of our customers do not take it seriously. I am on the same page as you, I also believe that face masks are essential in our road to recovery - unfortunately others do not.I apologize for the behavior of my employee, this was unacceptable and has been addressed. These are challenging times where we have to not only protect ourselves while working, but also deal with some that do not support our mask policy. I have also contacted UPS and asked them to follow up with the driver.Again, I am sorry for your experience today and know that we are truly doing everything in our power to enforce this policy.

I have been to a lot of mail delivery stores over the years, and this is by far the best one I have ever been to!!! Very clean, excellent layout, but by far the best thing is the people who work here. As someone who spent basically two decades of his life in customer service, I really have to hand it to them, these awesome folks really hit a homerun with this place! Absolutely by far the single greatest customer service experience Ive had at any mail/package delivery place!!! Everyone who works here deserves a raise!!! Wonderfully lovely people!!! As a business owner I am glad to have my mail delivered here!!! 😎❤️📦

Beware shipping things internationally with this location, they dont understand the customs process, they dont care and they dont want to learn. I lost a package worth thousands of dollars due to the negligence of the people working here, move on..

I had an important package that needed to be sent out. There was an issue with the address and the associates went to the computer to do research on this address and location. They went as far as making a phone call on my behalf. Needless to say the information I had was incorrect and they found everything that I needed. The package was delivered and I am one happy customer. The staff as far as I could see, was an all girl staff and they were very engaging and you could tell that they were enjoying themselves. They got everyone in the store involved. That is a wonderful atmosphere and I will definitely use this store again and again.

After doing business here for many years, I can no longer recommend this business. When I sold my business, the new owner was told that the business would no longer honor our business discount. That was fine, but I wasnt told. I should have been notified, but neither the owner nor the manager told me when I informed both of them that I would be selling. Rather than explaining the issue to me and working with us, I was basically told to take my business elsewhere since youre costing us money. We would have happily paid a bit more for services, which we are doing with Mark at VIP in Carrboro. But no one asked. And when I wrote to the owner asking if I could discuss the issue with him (and I wrote two emails), I never even received a reply. So disappointed that after seven years of doing business with the company, I would be treated this way.

I needed some real estate documents notarized and went to my bank in Chapel Hill. Turns out they wont notarize real estate documents at most banks. I didnt realize this. So they sent me to the UPS store where they do notarize real estate documents.When I walked in the store was busy with several customers and several staff members working at the same time. But I was greeted and helped within 20 seconds. I was pleasantly surprised. The gentleman was able to quickly review and notarize my four complex documents and the cost was only $5/signature, so $20 total which I thought was reasonable.I would certainly do business here again. I actually felt good about my trip out to get four documents notarized. Thats incredible.

I and a co-worker went in at lunch time (a week before Christmas!) to ship 7 large boxes for our practice. We were greated with smiles and spoken to by everyone. Everyone working today was so nice and friendly. A pleasant experience considering the volume of their work this time of year. Such a pleasant experience!!

Each of my parents died within several months in 2017. They had been married for nearly 50 years so there was an enormous amount of stuff in their house. I live in California, so this was a major project for me. I came into this location and explained the situation to the staff, and they went above and beyond anything I ever could’ve expected. They were professional, compassionate, and understood the absolutely priceless nature of so many things I had ship to my home in California. I cannot say enough about how well this location met my needs in a very dark time in my life. If I ever return Chapel Hill, they will be the only service I use to ship things back to my home in California.

The people who work here are some of the nicest people I have come across in any customer facing business. They brighten up my day any time I go in. However the location is a little tough as getting in and out onto traffic on Fordham Blvd while battling a steep embankment can be difficult.

I came to this store totally stressed out about all of the things I had to do. The ladies at this store not only were patient with me, they offered to help in every way possible. The suggestions were great and the manager even gave me hug and thanked me for coming. We laughed, engaged in conversation and even heard a tune from one of the girls. I left feeling like I had visited family and friends. Copies, Notaries, and shipping! How could you not like going to a place where you can get a lot done and be entertained.

Unreal - went in to buy a cardboard box to ship some items. Charge for the box -not shipping, just the box was $16!! Manager said cardboard is expensive. I think this is egregious so I left and went down the road to Southern Village - guy was much nicer, gave me a recycled Amazon box for free.
