Staff have always been friendly and helpful. Store is clean and has a good variety of products.Pharmacy staff are amazing and take good care of their clients.

Generally speaking, the product levels are fine. I have found however that the meat department has started leaving same day dated meat on the meat wall. I made the mistake of buying pork that was dated for the day I purchased it. When I opened it the next day it had an awful smell. I had to wonder if it had been repackaged in some way. Either way it seems you really need to check the dates on the meat now. Also I really wish they would find a way to keep the bathroom clean. At least fix the smell.

No masks or no 5 star. Mandates are not synonymous with free choice.

Their regular prices arent the best, BUT, their specials are. No other store beats or matches Harris Teeters weekly specials and thats especially true of their weekend specials! Unlike some other stores, youll have no trouble finding help and/or assistance when its needed. We travel a 14 mile (round trip) rather than a couple miles to Walmart or a little over a mile to Food Lion.

The produce here is horrible quality and way overpriced. They have flies everywhere. Careful bringing fruit home from here because youll get fruit flies.

They have everything, employees very friendly, knowledgeable, and the go above and beyond.

Would really like to see more than three lanes being used on a busy Saturday or Sunday. Lines stretch back into the aisles. Minimum of four checkout lanes (plus self checkout) should be open from 10-6 on the weekends.

The most predictable rush in the grocery business - the 5pm rush - seems to be a perennial surprise for this Teeter. Its a remarkable day when they have more than three cashiered registers open at 5pm.The selection and quality are fine, the changed layout (which has not propagated to any other area Teeters, so its annoyingly and uniquely nonsensical) is irksome. The aisles are small and the milk coolers have displays in front of them, causing irregular customers to obstruct traffic.The parking lot is pretty bad. The store cannot be faulted for this, but its still annoying. Theres no real access to the lot from the rear, so shoppers have to be mindful of the pedestrian crossing area. The special parking spots (veteran, handicapped, pickup lanes) take up a lot of space at the front of the lot - since most customers use the three lanes of parking in front of the store, these special spots take up rather a lot of room. The parent-with-child spots have been pushed further back, which isnt ideal for parents whose toddlers insist on walking.They do an excellent job having sanitized carts and baskets. The meat/seafood staff are very nice. The store seems very clean.

Its sad that such a gorgeous store has mediocre, at best, workers. Micah was the cashier and he could have cared less if we were there or not. If we werent, hed be out of a job. This goes for the lady working at the customer service counter too. We will try one more Harris Teeters and then it will be Food Lion from now on.

While its location is extremely convenient, the staff (some) not al,l arent the most pleasant.If I had my car (Daughter has it), I would have drove to the Food Lion. I get a Better Over All Experience!Dont get me wrong, its Harris Teeter, and I can walk to it.That is why I gave it a 4 and not a 3.

This is a great store with fabulous deals on really good food, some at much reduced prices. I sure wish HT had not rearranged the entire store right during a pandemic. I have to roam the store more, which increases my association with strangers. Not a good time to rearrange.

Harris Teeter used to sell Honey Mustard Rotisserie Chicken. It was quite good. They used to sell their own brand of Deluxe Mixed Nuts. They were good! They used to sell a sweet hot mustard of their own, it was unmatchable. No chemicals either. They stopped all of these over time. I like HT but the DAY Wegmans opens in Chapel Hill, I will never be back. Their lines have gotten longer and their check out people have gotten more....lethargic. Good deli people. OH!! They used to sell their own thin-crust pepperoni pizza. No longer do they do that thing.

Great grocery store to go to they have great meat selections and really great prices.

Folks are always great there. Was hoping to find organic green beans or snap peas, bagged or loose, and vegan tuna (Loma Linda brand is good) but meh not this time

The staff is very nice and they always try hard to complete our orders! We have been online ordering throughout the pandemic and they are wonderful. Always so kind and pleasant, even when they have to pack our groceries into the car in 100 degree heat! We’ve had Daniel complete our online order a few times and he is so kind and pleasant!! We feel very lucky to have such a kind Harris teeter team in our area. Thank you to Daniel and the other great employees!!!

Higher prices, but better quality Foods. But get a Harris Teeter card and earn points and save money at the Harris Teeter Gas station. Worth it!

The price is not particularly cheap if you shop around. Besides, they closed very early so I went to the nearby food lion to buy breakfast for my sons tomorrow

Always a great shopping experience

I like this harris teeter because it has less people lol. I think that things are sometimes in odd areas which are hard to locate. I think you should ask your team what things are they asked where they are the most and move them. Another good idea might be to ask the guest where did they think it would be by and see if you can double stock or move it and see if sales go up and questions go down.

Absolutely the worst grocery store in Chapel Hill and Carrboro. Sad to see a nice neighborhood store become a miserable shopping experience with dilapidated premises, rotten produce and the most unfriendly service in the entire area. Avoid at all costs!

Stopped in to pick up a few things. It has been years since I went there. Will never go back again. The Basil was black. Fortunately, we found a sad little basil plant that we are trying to revive a la Charlie Brown Christmas.Overall, this Harris Teeter was consistently bad for years, but clearly it has gone off a cliff. Having been to what I thought was the worst store - a Kroger in East Nashville, TN (nicknamed Murder Kroger due to a murder there) - I have now found a new low in Grocery Stores. The Harris Teeter in Chapel Hill.It was also hard to shop for produce due to the water dripping into a large trash can through the middle of the ceiling. Its meant be Open and airy, but it felt more like LaGuardia airport with the dripping water.

Its okay, but Ive had several issues with the pharmacy.

Friendly, clean, covid responsible, easy highway access, well stocked, curbside pickup available.

Grocery is OK, but they need to have curbside pickup for prescriptions.

It was pretty spectacular!

Horrible. Only three registers opened with fourteen to sixteen customers in each averaging twenty plus items in their cart. They were so backed up customers were standing in the wine aisle. Nevermind the fact they had a dozen other registers that could have been opened. Instead, lots of Harris Teeter employees were just standing around. I walked out after setting my stuff down and told the manger your losing business having that many registers closed, and he said, ”Oh, well. See you later.” How in the Hell he became a manager, Ill never understand.

Cast selection and reasonable prices.

Still the number one grocer in the area. Prices have dropped on some items (toilet paper) that made them cheaper than Costco. A good shopper will always use our head and your head should be telling you to stop in the Harris Teeter and you might actually find yourself enjoying a trip to the grocery store.

Well stocked. They have good quality fresh fruits and vegetables. Depending on your specific shopping experience you may find their prices above the quality offered.

The only thing missing from this Harris Teeter is a pizza bar like at some other locations. There is a wide selection of available products, and their made to order subs are great. Produce is fresh. Staff are friendly.

My family are loyal customers to this but I sure would like to see a little cigar humidor added in the near future!

Check Out Tellers not wearing Gloves, handling Food. I had to go to Customer Service to ask to have a Check Out Wearing Gloves. I was told its the Checkers Choice Customers moved to Lines where the Checkers were wearing Gloves (only two)

I have been coming to this Harris Teeter for the past 15 year at least once a week. I don’t recall receiving unsatisfactory service except maybe once or twice with the cake decorating staff being too busy or no one is available.

Its a pretty standard grocery store... They try to cultivate a slightly more upscale image, but all that really means is that things are bright and clean, they stock some higher end stuff, and almost everything is a bit pricier than food lion.

I am not good at English as a foreigner.So please understand my terrible English.I had a bad experience today. I bought a cake at this store in order to take it to someones home who invited me in this morning.The clerk asked me to pay for original price on the tag even though she checked up my membership card. So I asked her why she didnt adjust the sale price following a membership rule. And then she seemed embarrassed but her facial expression was so annoying and unpleasant. She told me the new cheaper price but she never apologized and even did not said good-bye when I told her Thank you so much.I couldnt understand her attitude. The original price is 14.99 and the sale price is 9.99. We should be careful while paying.

Terrible management. Six in line at every cashier. Reorganized the store a week before Thanksgiving and did not update the app, so I cant find my regular purchases. Wait a week or two before you shop here again.

EVERYONE IS RUDE AS HELL! THE WORKERS LOOK OVER WORKED. I WAS STANDING IN A LONG LINE ONLY TO BE INFORMED THAT I CANT TAKE PICTURES INSIDE THE STORE I WOULD HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE, MIND YOU IM ONLY TAKING PICS OF MYSELF. Ive upgraded my review based on this years experience. They have finally fixed the long checkout lines I believe. Prices are still a bit high. One more ⭐ added.

This store has been on the decline for several years and needs some serious updating. I dont know why this store is left to rot while the other HTs in the area are very nice. The lines to check out are ridiculous, the carts are old and rusting and half of them have trash in them. Who wants to put their nice food products in filthy carts? Produce is also half rotten. Wish they would remodel this store it is sorely needed.

Solid iteration of this chain. This particular store seems to have a wider selection of fresh produce than the others in town.

The service was amazing. The store products are great variety. Everythings fresh. And have yet to have a bad experience with the store that I use on regular. The workers are very friendly and always have smile when they greet you. Even my children love to go shoping with me and helping out. Cashiers always let my son help them bag up the grocerys which he loves to do. Its wonderful store
