As usual, George McGuee worked his fine customer service skills to make our visit the most pleasant one. His attention to details and constant updates makes everything easier. He has worked my Benz truck and my husbands sports car since forever. We live next door to MT Cary, but still we travel all the way to Chapel Hill (and other cities, in the past) just to get George’s top notch assistance, and definitely will continue to do the same!!!

Called 4 days in advance to order tires. Get here and appointments never made. But they did order the tires. Ok no problem. Everyone is busy and going through it. Just very inconvenient.

Great service! I dropped in with a flat tire and a bent wheel, they got a new tire on there and switched out the wheel in an hour even though they were super busy. Travis was at the counter, he was super helpful and gave me a great deal.Melvin and Zach worked on my wheel and tire, both of them were fantastic, answered all my questions and worked quickly. They both deserve a raise! Id really recommend Mr. Tire if you have any car issues, theyre honest and genuinely helpful.

Great customer service. My parents drove from Florida for the weekend and had a tire blow out on the way up. Their car still wasnt driving right so we took it to our mechanic who told us they needed additional new tires. They suggested we go to Mr. Tire, we got there at noon on a Saturday and George, went over and above to make sure that they got their tires and would be able to drive safely home on early Monday morning as planned. This will definitely be the place I go for my tires in the future.

George at Mr. Tire was amazing! He was very helpful and patient. My parents came into town from Florida and my dad’s truck was having issues. George got the truck in on Memorial Day weekend and worked to diagnose and fix the issue in just a few hours so my parents could get back on the road safely. Really nice staff, and not a bad wait time. I got an oil change and inspection. Inspection was good. Had to get my oil re-changed at another location though, not even 2 months later.Edit: I don’t drive much. Only to my job and locations around my neighborhood, which are all within a 15 minute distance. No highways.

Excellent service! Just walked in while they were really busy n they had me out in half an hour. Thats without an appointment. Very flexible! Got my small job in between larger ones.

I’ve never loved this place, but I go for simple things anyways because of the location/hours. They are always overbooked/understaffed. A couple of times they’ve been really apologetic and offered me a discount (without me asking) when I had to wait longer than estimated. Those past experiences are the only reason for 2 stars.This week was different. I had a 10am appt and when I walked in the guy said he didn’t know who would have made that appt because they didn’t have time for it. It was a state inspection which should take 15 min but I was told it would be 3 hours. 3 hours later they had not touched it. I lost half a day and when I finally picked up/paid the guy was rude to me as if it was my fault, and no one apologized at any point in the process.Oh, and no one wears masks.I won’t be back.

Scammers. Stay away. They throw jargon at you and sell you things you dont need. They told me I needed an AC compressor, then did a horrible job of installing it, then shorted out my computer. I went to take the compressor out and it was barely screwed in. They left actual parts just sitting there hanging. I took the compressor out, got a new one, went to someone else and now its working. Went and took Mr. Tires broken AC compressor back and they told me I might get a refund in 3months. When confronted about the job they did on the phone, they hung up the phone on me. Please dont support this horrible corporation.

Ive been getting my car serviced here for a few years her and never had a bad experience. Today though topped everything I had experienced before,one of my turn signals needed a new light bulb. I went inside,they told me to drive around and immediately started working on it. After the job I went inside to pay for it and they just wished me a good weekend and told me the job was on the house. I can only recommend this place. Friendly employees and every job gets done in a timely manner.

Despite being very busy, employees repaired my tire extremely quickly. You can tell the manager cares a lot about his employees and customers. Would recommend this location to anyone looking for quality tire services.

I cant say enough good about this place! Chad and Dakota helped me out, as I was in a tough spot. I was heading to Wilmington from western SC, and my alternator died. These guys went way above and beyond to get me back on the road. They stayed open a couple of hours after closing to make it work. Thank you guys so much!

When I went here a few months ago, they were professional and did fine work. This time, however, the front desk person wasnt wearing a mask. It felt discourteous that he didnt even offer to wear one when speaking with the masked older woman in front of me in line. Clearly the front desk person was willing to put his own comfort over sometime elses health. I wouldnt go here again, at least until the pandemic is over.

I was looking to get a last minute inspection days before I needed to renew my registration. In a last ditch attempt I called up Mr. Tire and they were able to squeeze me in for an inspection within 15 minutes of my call! I received the best service and the staff were so accommodating. I would highly recommend going here for any of your car care needs.

Mr. Tire has been amazing. We moved down from Michigan and have been able to get our oil changed and new tires here. Customer service is amazing, had a heat shield fall off of my Jeep Patriot and they were able to reattach it and get me in and out in less than 20 minutes.

The car service was good, and the people I spoke with were friendly, but neither the manager or other man working at the front desk were wearing masks. The entrance has a sign saying masks are required and I was uncomfortable saying anything to these guys. There are multiple reviews about workers here not wearing masks, so why isnt this issue resolved already?

I called on Saturday morning and was able to get in the same day. I spoke with Al on the phone and again in person when I arrived. He was kind, professional, and courteous with all the customers. It was a very busy Saturday so I wasn’t expecting to be in and out under an hour. Everyone there was working hard. There were not employees sitting idle. They got me in and out as quickly as possible and my car rides smooth. Thank you Al for taking care of things, being a true pro, and a positive representative to your company.

We’ve been here twice, once for a tire change and they were pretty helpful but 2nd time we had an appointment for an oil change at 10am, we were told it was gonna take a while about 1.5 hrs, understandable ok so we went to go have breakfast & buy some groceries. Come back at 12 PM, TWO HOURS LATER & our car hasn’t even been seen. Super annoyed. He said there was only 1 guy working which like ok I understand but come on dont make so many appointments if only 1 guy is working! Guy at the front didn’t even apologize for the wait or anything. Terrible customer service. We came to jiffy lube down the street and took 15 minutes to change our oil, informed us we need a engine filter change as well AND cleaned our car WITHOUT an appointment. Great customer service! Will definitely not be going to Mr. Tire ever again.

Would definitely recommend taking your car here for any needs you have. I have been here a few times and the staff is very welcoming and friendly and the prices for service are very reasonable. On my most recent visit today, I went in to get assistance with a minor issue, and not only was it done promptly but was done at no charge. So like I said, you should definitely look here for any of your car needs.

Travis and other members of staff were incredibly prompt, energetic, and exceedingly helpful. At another location I was told that I would have to leave my car on-site all day just to receive an oil change. Travis promised to have it done in 30-45 minutes, and his crew was able to finish in less than 30! I was most impressed by the wonderful attitude of staff members, and I couldn’t imagine better service.

Great experience! I was able to make an oil change appointment same day. Very friendly service. They also did a complimentary tire rotation and patched up a nail puncture in my tire for no charge.

This is the best place to get tires

Ive been very happy with the service we received here. In one case, I had a screw in my tire and they patched it quickly for a reasonable cost, without trying to upsell me. In another case, my daughter got a nair in her tire, but when they went to patch it, they found the nail hadnt gone all the way through the tread. So they didnt need to do anything and there was no charge. I would definitely go here again.

Great Customer Service! I was visiting my daughter for the night and ended up with a nail in my tire. When I arrived at the store they were getting ready to close but Mr. Al Watson walked out to my car to look at the tire and told me he wanted to make sure we were safe and would go ahead and fix it for us. He could have easily turned me away and said they did not have the time but he didn’t. I can’t thank Mr. Watson and the employees enough for taking the time to take care of us.

My wife visited today. Upon entry, a group of men were huddled behind the counter none of whom were wearing masks. They quickly scattered to find them. I appreciate their response as it is the correct and moral thing to do. However, no one working in the bay was wearing a mask nor did the person who came to get her car so while driving it back there to be worked on he potentially exposed her to the virus. Then I’m sure she was potentially exposed again when one of the people working in back got in.Unacceptable!

Travis and the team came through again for me with tires. This time they took care of my business vehicle. They got me 4 new tires and alignment all done within 2 hours of me dropping it off to them. Travis and the team will be getting all my business going forward.

I knew exactly what I needed done and they were kind and professional as they completed the service. Always my go-to.

My husband has used Travis and the team for 2 of his vehicles so I made an appoitment with him to get a 4 wheel alignment and windshield wipers. They got me in and got everything knocked out quickly. The care is driving much better now.

There is something to be said about people treating you like family. I had an issue with my truck over the past weekend in Chapel Hill. I was 2 hours away from where I live. I went into Mr. Tire and Al Watson at the front had the best customer service that I have ever experienced at an auto shop. He got me in at 9 AM on a Sunday and had the diagnosis, parts, and repairs all done. He was very knowledgable and understanding. I wish they were closer so that I could use this shop more often. Cant thank you enough Al and Mr. Tire!

The men who worked there not wearing masks over their nose, but when they went into the back (connected to the front by an open door) they all took their masks off. I felt unsafe and decided to wait outside the building rather than be inside with 3 unmasked men. Instead of inspecting my car, they asked me for the mileage and if everything worked okay, and let me pass inspection while my car sat in the parking lot. It’s not right to put the health of their customers at risk by not wearing a mask, or to do a faulty “inspection” aka, an inspection without ever looking at the car.

I came all the way from Kentucky to have Travis Thacker put tires on my truck. He is an awesome guy to work with. He makes everything easy for me. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know.

My tires were difficult to find and not easy to install. The only dealer who took the time to find the tires and at a good price as well. Very accomodating. Easy drop off and quick install. Highly recommend

I went online to book an appointment with Mr Tire in Chapel Hill. I put in what I needed and was all set. Than I received a phone call asking me to come in earlier which was fine because I know times have changed with Covid. The gentleman that called me was nice and also offered me a better price than I received online and that is always a winner for me! I went in and it was such a quick process. I will definitely go back for my tire needs in the future!

The assistant manager Al was great during my trip to Mr. Tire. For some reason my online appointment didn’t go through, however he still found a way to squeeze me in at the time I had requested. He also was going out of his way for at least three customers in the time I was there. I’ve lived in chapel hill for about 2 years now and I have been going here and there as needed for different things for my car. But after today I think I found the place I’ll be going for the rest of my residence here, and that’s because of the customer service I witnessed and experienced from Al Watson.

Ive been very happy with Mr. Tire for several years and was about to go in today to get my oil changed. However, when I stepped in the front door and saw that the guy behind the counter was not wearing a face mask I turned right around and left. Maybe this was an exception, but I dont want to catch Covid 19 and I reasoned that if the guy in front isnt wearing a mask then odds are the mechanics wholl be sitting in my car wont be wearing masks either. Too dangerous for me.

I have never worked with a better set of mechanics. I have been bringing my car here since college in 2011 and they consistently deliver the most exceptional service. At my most recent tune up and inspection Al went above and beyond to address the problems my SUV was having. Always appreciate the work these guys do!

We were driving from VA to Charlotte and got a flat on US85 on a Sun afternoon just north of Durham. We called a different Mr Tire and they had their phone forwarded to this one. We showed up to the other location a little after 3pm and it was closed. We called this location and he fit us in despite closing at 4 and having plans for his granddaughter’s birthday. Super appreciative as we would have been out of luck and had to stay despite needing to get to Charlotte. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend.

As a first time customer in the area, I did a decent amount of research for a trustworthy, reliable, and experienced. Mr. Tire was a stand out company. I took my Honda Civic 2015 in for brakes, transmission flush, tires purchase/alignment, and A/C Troubleshoot and repair. Not only were they exceptionally professional and savvy, they also bestowed trust and respect to their customers. I am exceptionally happy with my decision to get work done at this business and will absolutely be bringing my familys vehicles to this Auto Service in the future. Integrity and peace of mind is invaluable.

This was my first time going to this specific Mr. tire location. I made my appointment for yesterday but it had to be rescheduled for today because they were slammed. The guy who called me to reschedule didn’t put any kind of notes in the system so when I went in, it was saying I did not have an appointment. Thankfully Al was able to fit me in and the crew got everything that I needed done very quickly. When I checked out, Al again took good care of me by applying discounts to help bring down my total. I made an appointment for the morning and the manager, Duke, wasnt there to open the front doors. There were employees present in the working garage, but apparently didnt have the ability to get the day going without the manager. I realize things happen, and people can be late, but this was my first impression of the business, and I cant help but feel disappointed. Myself and 3 others were waiting outside, one woman about an hour. Duke did eventually show up, but the final straw for me was when I was waiting in line to ask a question, and he made me wait a loooooong time to even acknowledge my presence. Finally he did, but then walked away before asking how he could help. A short time later he returned, but ignored me a little longer. Thats ok. I know he was probably needing to catch up on things from the late start, I get that, but my time is valuable and that was enough for me. I decided to take my business elsewhere.You know what they say, you never get a second chance at a first impression.
