This Review is for Cloves on Thunderbird road, Phoenix. Stale food and most horrible service. Dont get sick eating from here. Bought an indian sweet badushah from there on June 30th 2021 at 6:30 pm. It had mold on it as you can see in the pictures. It was purchased for a friend and we were really embarrassed to learn about it from them. When we called to report it, they argued saying they never sold it yesterday! WOW.....we should have called the police and have them extract cctv footage from this vendor and have his license revoked

It’s a good store but be-careful when you purchase the puja equipment. They are overpriced and they do no offer returns for those even if you have bills and the label intact. Stale food from kitchen. Sambar was just water from top to bottom. Peanut chutney was sweet, Dosa was thick like pancake and Jelebi was stale. Totally disappointed with kitchen food which is supposed to be fresh. Lost appetite for Cloves food.

Good and fresh Veggies. Indians love fresh vegetables. Keep up the great work. Only caveat is price labels are not up to date for shelved items. Please double check at register. They are honest and let you know if the items you buy are pricey. Dont forget you to redeem your points. You can get anything from kitchen from coupon but only $5 / visit is allowed.

Great store with great selection of prepared food. It’s the way to go for weekend shopping. The pantry has very tasty food unique to Phoenix area. It’s the main reason why we go this store and always pack for the week. Very sorted collection of fresh veggies but only the space is an issue apart from the how the isles are located. It’s bit messy in terms of isles height and location of stuffs.

I am a regular shopper at cloves since they started and really impressed the way they maintain and grown over the years. They run this shop with so much care and really listen to customer feedback. Curries they sell are close to curries in andhra. Their recent addition of sweets are so good that we thought they were importing from India. Definitely their sweets are worth try. Overall they are doing a fantastic job and no wonder they opened another store in Phoenix. Keep up the good job!

I love their kitchen…they have lots of variety and it tastes good. Samosas and Mirchi bhajji is amazing. They have grocery Items for sale, fresh vegetables for sale. Another reason i go to cloves every weekend is that they have homemade dosa batter. I don’t like using any brand dosa batter as they add some kind of preservatives.

This place is pretty nice for grocery shopping. There are better places however. But if you must go here and also want to support smaller businesses then its a great place for you to go. Also, their kitchen is very good. I had some samosas and other things and they were pretty good if you are just looking for a quick snack.

Overly Priced groceries. And, Upfront cheating at the meat section… Meat packets were pre-packed without any label of when it was packed. When purchased, they are just weighing and printing the labels displaying current date as packed date. We had bitter experience with chicken… it was spoiled though it was kept in a refrigerator for just one night.As far as the Kitchen is considered, food quality is always a toss up. This place can be referred if there isn’t any better alternative option.

This place is good for groceries but not for fresh food.We got curries from them and it was too oily and upset our stomachs. On giving them feedback via email they did not care to respond.

Vegetable being fresh is a rarity here. Kitchen staff wont even provide a receipt, shady practice. Food is over rated.. Avoid this place as much as possible.

Decent joint. The food section is having a tight space. Taste is pretty average.

Staff wears mask below their nose and yesterday the checkout person had no mask on. Only a face shield. So whenever she talks to you, all her droplets would be on our groceries. This is an Indian grocery store, while Covid is ravaging the country these people cant even be bothered to wear a mask properly.

Recently placed an eggless Black Forest cake for my husbands birthday, we just loved it. It was perfectly moist and none of our guests could guess that its actually an eggless one. Definitely recommend.

Small store.High prices. Cloves have two different stores Phoenix & Chandler.Which creates confusion for different stores.

You will not feel that you are thousands miles away from from your home. You will get all the spices used in India/Bangladesh. Penalty of options available for both vegetarians and for non vegetarians. Good place for fresh Indian vegetables.They have restaurants. Foods are good.

Not concentrated on veggies, only on dry products they are more on .. vegetables should be fresh and displayed in the evenings mostly.. food is fair enough, they don’t even provide some ketchup along with snacks that’s not fair enough . Phones are not picked up on regularity , when we try to order food..

Worst Customer Service, staff is very rude. Many products looks very old and expired. Got some grocery that was looking very old and expired but they don’t even listen when you complain. Chaat also tastes as if it was prepared few days ago but again you get rude responses from staff when you complain. They don’t care about customers. Overall the store is very messy and dirty, few other Indian grocery options are around in the area and are much better, I will never come to shop at this place.

Grocery store with Indian take-out in back. This one is hidden behind the Walgreens. Vast selection of products. The take-out is amazing.During Covid, the buffet is closed to the public. Staff wearing PPE serve food. No in-house dining.

All of the groceries are pretty over-priced. They do sell hot Samosas & other stuff which is really good, and all of that is not too expensive. This store is also really small. I was really happy though because they had the cadbury 5 star which I couldnt find at any other bigger store in the valley, which was a plus.

Highly expensive. Prices keeps on changing very frequently, when i say frequently like almost every week. Significant increase of +50% b/w March and June. Plz make prices competitive.Store used to be clean, now it is highly congested. Boxes are lying all around the floor. Staff is mostly students who have very little info about the products.

A little restaurant inside a grocery store. Very reasonably priced dishes foods to eat there or to take away. Their Chicken Masala was the best Ive ever had, and the other items we had were good.

Very bad. They were selling rice with bugs in em. I returned to them and ask if you can give me a replacement and they turn away. On a second thought why the freak I would go back again to this bugs infested store. Unfortunately, I have been shopping here for quite sometime and I will not return. I also used to eat the samosas they sell urggg... I even once helped them to jump their truck. What a waste of time.

Very nice staff, they will try to reach out to each customer personally once you are there, ask about your need and any feedback. They also started Indian kitchen, decent price and tasty food. The best part is, most of times you will get fresh vegetables.

Overpriced!!! Never do the curbside pickup as you will get an overpriced product. Usually there might be a difference of 5% between stores. But this is atrocious. I will never visit this grocery store ever.

Bad customer service! .During covid19 curbside pickup I ordered 3 coconuts and purposely they put 2 coconuts bad.Its weightless and even a small child could say its a bad coconut.I took a photo and during my next shop visit I showed it to them.They didnt give any refund .Bad experience . I didnt experience this kind of customer service in my life.

This is a new grocery store in the neighborhood. There arrangements look near any clean. Since its just started you may find few items on your list may not be going here... Bad customer service. Wrong prices- Pay close attention to your receipts, these guys are overcharging on the items than what is displayed on the shelf and on item. Lotus Indian Grocery- much better choice and very friendly.

My go to Indian shop in Chandler for Groceries. Wide variety of brands and a decent menu for snacks and other food. They have their own dosa and idly batter options which is nice. They hear you out if you need a particular product. I did not give 5 stars because they do not have a speedy checkout. I wish they had scanner integrated instead of the hand scanner which takes a bit longer than usual for check out. Overall, a really good place for groceries and food.

Somewhat cramped, quite overpriced and mainly South Indian, kitchen and imported products. I go there when there are no options. But if you ship at a bunch of different stores youll save a lot of $$, compared to getting all your shopping done at this one place. But still, a good enough resource for Indians overall. Good people.

The store is quite amazing with everything from vegetables, to groceries and ice cream. Particularly impressed to find cassata and butter scotch which I have not seen any where else in the valley for the last 10 years. Quite friendly staff too.

Terrible service. I walked in and there were 2 people sitting at a table near the kitchen section they didnt seem to notice that I walked in. I did my shopping and went to the counter which had stuff piled all over it. It was a mess. I put my stuff on the counter and put my basket away, all the while no one has spoken to me or come to help me. I waited for a couple minutes to get some service and finally just walked out. They treated me like I was invisible.

Some products are overpriced, most cashiers miss the smile & courtesy to new shoppers. once they did not accept immediate return when I saw I was billed more for one item, cashier said come another day for return...wow!
