This place the worst! Brandon the guy I talked to is unprofessional and rude he doesnt return any calls tried calling back multiple times and no answer. Wont be going here anymore very bad customer service.

In the past I have liked coming here because they have material in stock that the big box stores don’t carry and they are super close to my house. However, they always seem very annoyed with small orders. They treat the average homeowner like an inconvenience. On Labor Day 9/6/21 I called the store at 11:15 am and inquired about a price for pressure treated 2x4x12 boards. I spoke to Brandon and he quoted $5.69 ea. I asked when they closed due to the holiday and he said noon. I went right over and spoke to Eric at the counter, I asked for three 2x4x12 pressure treated boards and confirmed they were the light green borate treated ones for interior framing. He told me my total was $50.13. I told him I had just called in and was quoted $5.69 each. He laughed at me and said maybe you called Home Depot. (see pics I certainly did not call Home Depot) At this time I realized the other man behind the counter was Brandon and the person I spoke to. So, I inquired with him, stating I just spoke to you 10-15 mins ago. He blew me off and said he didn’t remember because he did a lot of phone quotes that day. I told Eric if they’re that expensive I would only like two boards rather than three. He seemed aggravated that he had to redo the invoice. I could tell from their interaction with the customer ahead of me that Brandon was probably new and in training. Now I think what probably happened is when I called in, I was either quoted wholesale price by mistake or possibly the wrong material. Either way we all make mistakes, its how you handle them when you screw up that matters. If they had honored the price they quoted me over the phone it would have cost them $29.43 and secured me as a future customer. I wish they treated every customer like they mattered. It might be three 2x4’s today but an entire addition on my house down the road. Due to every time I come here being treated like garbage I won’t be back to this location. The positive reviews on this company are false! At least for this location. If you call for a quote or inquire about stock or delivery, no one will ever call you back! I have emailed , called and left message and never a response! When I did talk with a gentleman regarding certain products, he was rude and short tempered like I was disturbing him. Unless your a very high volume builder or medium size contractor they will not give you the time of day! Definitely not homeowner or independent contractor friendly! Stay away from here don’t give them your hard earned money or your presence!

Great service and about half the price of home depot or lowes for baseboards and trim, baseboards my clients wanted was $1.76ft at home depot, I got it for 82 cents/ft

Always helps with good prices. They offer good service and knowledge on all types of lumber. Found some places downtown that are a bit cheaper but overall this place is best in East Valley!

OTR Driver here. Good unloading time, ovnp on dirt strip off road, easy access, descent dock people. Beware of the train coming by now and then..lol. Overall good place. 1st driveway just after the r/r tracks is their driveway into their yard for trucks. Its off a dead end street with cu-de-sac area at end.

Going on five weeks since I sent them my blueprints for a takeoff for my home build. Nothing has been done. keep getting the runaround between representatives very disappointed.I was hoping based on reviews this company was a lot better unfortunately it’s not.

Called 3 times yesterday was connected to trim shop and they never answered. Call 3 times this morning . Still no answer , definitely going somewhere else .

I have been calling “Andy” for three weeks leaving voicemails with him and his “secretary” trying to figure out where my window package is at since they were back ordered 6 weeks. Not one call from him or his secretary. I even have the guys cellphone. Still nothing. Seems like Andy is up for employee of the year and this is how you get treated for spending thousands of dollars on window packages. Thanks to Andy I have no projection to give my rental company how long we will be delayed since I cannot get a call back.

I can not express how grateful I am for this company!We were having a difficult time sourcing materials for a sign project. I made a call to 84 Lumber and was helped by Beth. She went above and so far beyond to locate the material that we needed and get it out to us. Beth is the nicest, most helpful gal. This company is A+++ in my book.Thank you, Beth and 84 Lumber!

Wow. 2 things: It took a month to get an order together. Finally get it, and it’s not even bundled when we come to pick it up. Another 30 minutes putting all the pieces in the truck. Get your outfit together people.

1st time Ive gone here but I needed a 4x6x16 for a kids swingset and Home Depot doesnt carry them 16 feet long. Price seemed a little high $51, but the staff was very friendly and there was no line. They went and got my order and loaded it into my truck. Its a lumber yard!

84 Lumber is awesome. Im a contractor but not a carpenter or a framer. As far as these guys are concerned, just your average homeowner. I was looking for some 24 2x10s to straighten out a sagging porch roof. 84 lumber was the only place in town that had them in stock. everyone else had to special order. They were very helpful and let me bring my carpenter (my wifes uncle who framed houses for like 50 years) and pick the ones that best suited us as we wanted to have some crown in the boards so as they settle they are straight instead of sagging. We had a problem that was new to us. these 24 long boards were too straight. we had to look for ones that had a slight curve to them. one after another i heard nope this one is too straight . And on top of that while every place I checked that had to special order them was around $55 per board, 84 lumber came in at around $37. I ended up with 2 more than I needed and they took them back with a smile ( and no restocking fee) also they have a lot of simpson strong ties that others do not stock. They are my new favorite lumber yard even though I have to drive like a half hour and pass two or three others to get there.

These guys are always really nice and helpful. Im just a homeowner that likes to remodel and theyre the best place to go.

I went looking for small part for my cabinet after I had gone to a few other local businesses and none of them helped me but Oliver at 84 lumber helped me find the right part and got back to me the following day and ordered the part for me. A bit hard to navigate but people are friendly. Went to go get only one door but they were very willing to explain and answer questions. One associate even said to just text her if we had questions.Update: did not supply us with correct hinges, so I had to pay extra to buy the right one. Did not help us with loading either.

Im literally driving 30 miles to Chandler for my next building project. So thankful for their Super Bowl commercial. Almost every construction worker in this town is Mexican and I would guess a huge portion of their customers, so its nice to see them praised for their hard work and contributions to our country and our economy. Well done.

Updated review positive:So i emailed my local 84 Lumber and got a response and a line item order form. Very helpful online response.In person review:I was looking for siding for an older house and the salesman wasnt very helpful. I told him the siding was T-111 12 on center groove or sometimes called RB&B. He didnt know what RB&B meant. I told him Reverse Board and Batten. At this point i was getting the hint that he didnt want to help me. He said he didnt have any and didnt know where to get it. He didnt even pull out any catalogs to try to match what i was looking for. I would avoid this place. I drove down the road to Lowes and they were very helpful and called corporate and did everything they could. They even called other lumber places. More importantly they found some in stock.

I was recommended 84 Lumber by a friend because of their great pricing and quality service, but after their politically charged add I refuse to spend my money here. Stick to what your good at.

Talk to an associate 2 days ago have still not received a call back for my price on 750LF of redwood. Its not a huge order so I would assume the dont need to be bothered with the smaller local business

Whoever drives your work truck drives like a maniac, completely disregards the safety of other human beings on the road. How can a business be trusted when their employee is willing to risk innocent lives for no reason.

They just dumped the order on my yard and expected us to separate it. Then to find so many of them broken. We contact and cant even come out to replace broken ones til its convenience for them. So disappointing and frustrating.

Purchased lumber for outdoor roof project, needed to go back 3 times because of defective boards. they kept m as king excuses, contractor had to keep reschedualing. totallydisgusted with them.
