Great assortment of asian goods so far away from a larger metropolitan area. Competitive prices. If hot pot/shabu shabu is on the dinner plan, green onion probably has whats needed. Nice assortment of rice! Pre sliced meats are available if you dont have a machine to slice your costco packs. Plenty of snacks and drinks for sale. Just a bit light on veggies - have to check out the sister store down the street next.
One of the best and largest Asian groceries in town, my source of kimchi, tofu, greens and persimmon (when Im lucky). They also have a good selection of Japanese beer and Korean soju.
Really clean and big assortment of snacks and produce! They also have a good selection of meat and frozen food too.
I like that Green Onion is conveniently located midway between many corridors of local errands that I make. Their selection is pretty good for the size of the store which is smaller than most other Asian markets in the area. But all of their inventory is of excellent quality and their prices are competitive with other similar stores.
Best selection in town and better than many other bigger cities. My wife was very happy.
Always have what I am looking for, friendly staff and lots of fun hidden treasures to discover. Highly reccomend
Never been in before. The selection is wild! The store is clean and well organized and the staff was friendly. The variety of goods was nearly dizzying. One example: dried seaweed. I have seen this before in other places, big box stores mainly. Before today I did not know that it is available in a wide array of sizes and flavors. Chalk that up to my ignorance of other cultures, but it was a pleasant discovery. The store features fresh and frozen produce and meats, a kaleidoscope of dry grains in sizes from a few ounces to a fifty pound bag. There are canned goods and sauces, spices and breads, ingredients to make it from scratch or convenient frozen foods you can heat and eat.Just a really impressive little store that seems much bigger on the inside because there is just so much great stuff in there. I look forward to returning and exploring when I have more time.
Looking for asian food that is hard to find, come here they have lots of asian food items to chose from. Will visit again in the near future.
I always run through this supermarket if I crave for some asian stuff. Great prices and great selection. Their raw noodles selection is great. but i mostly go there for candies :)
I just love this little grocery store! Good prices on produce and tofu. Great selection of items I cant find at American grocery stores. The staff is generally very nice and welcoming. If you need only a couple of items, bring cash as they have a $10 minimum for credit cards.
The biggest Korean grocery store in Chambana.
There is a wide selection of products and all that I have tried are excellent. The proprietors are polite, kind and happy to make helpful suggestions. Prices are competitive and the store is kept clean. Their occasional special made dishes, ready to eat are great, too.
A very nice grocery store, the employees were friendly and very helpful. Their costs are low while keeping up quality. I love this place, I will come again soon!
Wife and I always make an attempt to stop off here when we make a trip to champaign, great store and a fun selection of snacks you wont find anywhere else.
Great little place. I was there for ingredients to make dashi. The lady running the register let me know I had the wrong seaweed. She also went over and pointed out what I needed for what I was doing.
The cashier didnt do her work today( I was there around 2 PM today) My day was ruined by her. Today, I lost the store my favorite place to go for 10years.
Awesome store to find supplies you just cant get anywhere else. We mainly have gone in for sushi making supplies, Thai tea, and Thai curry pastes. Weve also bought some of the odd snacks, like baby crab in chili sauce. Store is a little cramped if busy, with just enough room for one cart in the isles.
There’s a great range of products and they were very friendly
Green onion is one of my go-to places for asian ingredients in town. Theyre friendly and have a good selection for their size. They sell sushi grade fish which is awesome, and the only thing to watch out for is that they have a 10 dollar minimum for cards.
Great selection, store is always very clean and tidy. The fresh produce and fresh mushrooms are amazing, and great deals on big bags of rice. Lots of Asian snacks, candies, and drinks to try too!
Very pricey, but meats and store made foods (kimchi and side dishes etc) are higher quality than the other Asian markets in town. Almost everything else can be bought cheaper elsewhere.
Good selection and prices. Mostly eastern Asian items. Fresh vegetables. Frozen food. Prepared Korean foods
Great food. Hubby loves the chili and it did not disappoint! Friendly wait staff.
Lots of unique items and some prepared items to take out. Everything you may need to prepare Asian foods.
Expensive place and the veggies are not always fresh.
Loved it.
Excellent small Asian grocery store! The only thing I get here is kimchi because everything else is a little pricey.
Over priced, doesn’t have a large selection of food. Parking is easy, location is good, staff was friendly.
Wouldn’t go anywhere else!!!!
Good local Korean store with decent prices. They have a great selection of various foods, including: great mochi rice balls, fresh ramen, good selection of various Koren and other drinks, and occasionally free samples. Only issue would be is that some items can be a bit quite expensive, when compared to some other Asian stores in town and other regular stores that carry an international variety. However, most of their items are cheaper than other Asian food stores in town, including speciality items. Overall, I would reccomend this place if you fancy trying some new foods or if you like Korean cuisine.
I always shop here for Asian groceries. This place is always clean, friendly, and fresh.
Massive selection and lots of awesome things to try out. Excellent staff.
Great place with a lot of Korean/Japanese/Chinese food options. One cashier (the elder lady) is very friendly and nice, while the other one (a young lady) is pretty rude and impatient.
When I need Asian ingredients or when I crave mochi I come to Green Onion. Clean, a nice variety, and priced right.
Amazing Korean market with all kinds of groceries, fresh food, beer and liquor, and kitchen amenities
Organized and clean. Some things felt pricey but overall amazing.
Good local source for Asian ingredients.
Fun place to shop for pan-Asian food. Only problem: not big enough!!
Nice selection of imported foods, good place to shop!
Great finds and great help...
Fave Asian market in Champaign.
Our fave place to buy stuff for pho
Love this store! Theyre so friendly and get excited when I speak Korean to them(≧▽≦)
Very friendly customer service, very helpful. Will return !
It has everything that I love. It reminds me of my Korean dramas.
Ok prices and selection, nothing super special other than the HotPot section
For new ownership, they have different items. It is no longer Korean market.
Lots of great items.
Small Korean food market with a few aisles of goods. Its not H-mart, but I was able to find the ingredients I wanted.
Pretty good selection of Asian snacks and alcohol.
Love this place and its selection
Good Asian food store for Asian culinary needs.
Love the home-made kimchi!
Love the joint
If you go there, do double check the price they scanned.
One shop stop for anything you need Asian wise
Clean, ok selection, high price even after factoring distance from bigger stores.
When in need of grocery items from Korea, China, and Japan that you cant find elsewhere, Green Onion is a great place to shop.
Best place for Kimchi
Plenty of variety, plus plenty of produce to look through.
Best snacks!!!
