My husband and I just traded our Jeep for a Ford Ranger. We worked with Bill and Levi. I can honestly say that this was the easiest and least stressful car buying experience either of us have had. We are done taking our car to Champaign Ford City. We purchased it there 6 years ago. The first couple of years we received adequate service. Since then the service has gone down hill quickly. We got our second set of tires from them because they would not rotate the previous set of tires since they were not purchased there. When we picked the car up after over $1000 of new tires, the did not even wash the marks off the new tires. When we called to complain, they said if we could bring it back, they would take care of that.Fast forward to yesterday when I took it in for an oil change, inspection, and tire rotation. The gentleman who checked me in was a bit rude because I did not make an appointment. All the previous times I tried to make an appointment I was told service was on a first come first serviced basis.Then about an hour later they handed me a colorful report and everything was in the green. Surprising to me, as the last time it was there for an oil change, the brakes were in the yellow. With over 77,000 miles on the car and the brakes are original we expected them to mention the brakes.The car was not vacuumed and they claim that they can no longer wash it because it is a convertible. Another lack of service is they did not reset the oil/service light. When I checked it said 18% which it typically says 100% after an oil change.Thanks, but no thanks Champaign Ford City. We are done with you!

I recently purchased a new vehicle and it was the most pleasant car-buying experience Ive ever had. A few months ago, I was chatting with Ian, a sales representative, about a Mustang. I had a very specific build in mind. Ian found a similar model for me to test drive while I mulled over my decision. At no point did he pressure me to settle for something that was close enough to what I wanted. He even sat down for about 20 minutes to answer questions about a car I might not even buy!A few months later, I had decided to move forward with the purchase. Keep in mind that I had a specific build that I wanted. Ian found an exact match about 300 miles away. He spent his own evening driving to retrieve the car for me. He actually went the extra mile - very cheesy, but true.I received a fair price up front for the Mustang, and a generous trade-in valuation of my Ford Focus. Throughout the finance process, Levi was friendly and engaging. He offered various options for warranties and detailing. When I declined, he didnt shame me or pressure me into buying something I didnt want (which has happened at other dealerships). The actual buying experience was quick and painless, and I was out on the road within two hours!Overall fantastic experience; I wouldnt recommend any other dealership to my friends and family. Looking forward to working with them again for my next purchase.

Poor or lack of customer service from the service department. The grumpy service team make it seem like to your a bother to them. My control panel on the driver side of my explorer came off, they put GREY duct tape on the outside my driver door. After driving around with Grey duct tape on my new vehicle for two weeks. They had my truck for a entire day for a blown fuse and control panel replacement. First, they try to charge me for the work that’s cover under warranty. Then damage one of my wheels and say nothing about it!!! I called after leaving the dealership. I was told to come back by, once I finally found the time to return for them to see damage they caused, I waited over an hour in the lobby before I decided to just leave, I left my contact info and waited on a call back. I later received a call from a manger, he did not seem to take me serious. I sent pictures by email and have heard anything back. It’s the lack of customer service for me. Where is the care and concern for your customers? Since im not going to chase them down and their customer service SUCKS!!! figured I’d share. I can’t trust them with my vehicle.

I was reluctant to write this review because I work for a competing (non-Ford) dealership. But I understand the value of online reviews and when someone does this good they should be recognized.We had a problem with the SYNC radio and display. On the first visit they diagnosed the problem as 1 part and we crossed our fingers that it would not need the second part. When they did the repair, sure enough we needed the second (radio) replaced too. Nick gave us the bad news and compounded our troubles with the news that the part was on 2-3 week back order (ugh...no radio and no bluetooth for 2-3 weeks.)Nick did offer us the use of one of their vehicle and even had it delivered to my work before I left...life with 2 active kids just got better. Thank you Nick for all of the help.Oh yeah , the part came in about 10 days later and my car works perfect again.

Thay sold a Brand new defective 2019 Roush Mustang with drivetrain issues the final ending ford motor company did the right thing and and refunded the Roush but this dealership did nothing but the wrong things through it all in many ways i now went to a real stand up dealer and purchased a real Mustang ( supersnake)

Snarky service writers with attitudes. Ongoing issues with our Explorer. Its being taken care of under warranty. Get talked down to and asked did we call and say it was ready? I did not receive a call, but I also called in multiple times and left a voicemail with no return call. I will find a new place to spend my hard earned money next time we have to buy a vehicle. The customer service used to be great here, but thats taken a back seat to profit margins and bad attitudes. Its a shame that we have such long time periods on our extended warranties here too. Customers shouldnt have to continually call and ask what the part status are and when we will eventually be scheduled.

I ordered a part from this company. It was not listed as a special order part. After i ordered i got a email from Cris telling me that there was a back order on this part. There was no mention of it on their website of a back order. I paid for overnight shipping .With the back order they can not ship it over night. i asked for a discount on it because if there is a back log then there is no overnight. I was told there is no room for a discount. I did keep the order with them but i will never order from this company again.. I need a crate motor for my other car and their competitor will get my order instead.....

We are traveling from Wisconsin to Florida. Our 2017 Ford Expedition lost AC en route. We stopped by this dealer at 1pm for service. I was treated rudely and told there was absolutely no room in their schedule to check on our problem. Their only advice was that I google other ford dealers along my route. Wow...like I didn’t know that. First impressions are the lasting ones. This management and service team needs to read the book “Excellence Wins” and implement some “customer-first” practices.

They were willing to work with me on holding a vehicle purchase from out of state. Not only did they hold it on good faith; but furthermore, they even offered me a shuttle pick up from the airport at absolutely cost to me. I am blown away to say the least with each and every person that I came into contact with once I arrived. They were welcoming, and also demonstrated extensive knowledge of the vehicle and its capabilities. I would recommend Champaign Ford City to anyone. She is so honest and just a very genuine person which really caught me off guard. I went to get a key fob programmed which was $140. They didnt get it programmed but still charged me the 140, they could have just charged me a fee not the full price! Turns out a couple of weeks later I received a check for the full amount! Thank you Ford City!

I brought my old Ford Ranger in for a regular service and to install a new battery. These things were done well and the masking and social distancing went smoothly.But two complaints. One is that it took three days to get the truck back. The promise was to return a phone call to me when it was finished. There was no phone until I called on the third day.The second is that i asked for a new handle /knob on the temperature control, which is now missing and stuck at the highest temperature. I was told you would get one from the Parts people. I have no info about i and think it was never ordered.In general, I do like Ford City and have long been a happy customer.Michael Parsons (not Pairspns).

I had the BEST experience at Ford City Champaign. Bill Green worked with me to find my first car bought from a dealership. I was very anxious due to stories Ive heard about awful experiences at other dealerships. He was informative, courteous, patient, and kind. He took the time to answer my questions/concerns. He even took the time, after I had left to come out and see my daughter which really stood out to me. I had some concerns due to issues I had with my last vehicle. He assured me they would look at anything I needed and if any repairs were needed they would be taken care of. They were efficient and worked quickly with me that day to buy my car! They couldnt get my car in for a few days, so they gave me a rental so I wouldnt have to worry about transportation. Jim Button helped me with all of my paperwork, and was very helpful and took the time to explain everything to me. I could not have asked for a better experience!

Do not take your car here for service. I bought my car here last summer. This year, I got a notice in the mail about a recall - a few days later I got a second notice in the mail about an extended clutch warranty and that if your car was experiencing shuddering while accelerating, etc. Ford would pay to have the work done for free. I called the schedule the recall work and mentioned that I was not 100% sure if I was experiencing the issues with the clutch notice but had some of the described symptoms. Over the phone, the guy said he would note that when they took care of the recall issue. I dropped my car off overnight while they were closed so I never spoke to anyone directly - they called and said my car was ready and that the clutch was in range of spec, so they did not need to replace. Ok. My fiance goes to pick up the car and he sends me a picture of the bill and I see they charged us $138 dollars for labor. I called and asked about this - and they said since the clutch was in working condition the labor falls on me not Ford. First of all, this was NEVER told to me. NEVER. Second of all, what am I supposed to keep taking my car in for $140 bucks to see if an issue Ford reported to me is an issue yet? They took advantage of a situation and did not relay the full story to me. I dont even care about the money - its the principal. I will never be back and next time I need a car Ford City is off my list - if you are looking for a trusty place to get service done, go to Norris Tire.

Derek and Don are fabulous. I can always count on them for whatever work needs doing. The work will be done promptly and perfectly. On those occasions where their work was perfect and the car was not they continue to be perfect professionals. They let me know very clearly what is going with the my truck and what they must do to make the truck run like new. As a dealership we often need off brand warranty work done on our pre owned Fords and we are always needing parts, and sometimes we just need a good old fashioned factory trained Ford technician. When that comes up we call Don Beckler at Ford City. The team their is really efficient and helpful. We recently ran into a problem with a full size Ford truck that we just couldnt figure out but these guys found the problem and fixed it for a reasonable price.

I had a low tire and pulled into the dealership at 6:55 p.m. Two salesmen came out to check my tires and had me pull into the closed service department where they put air in all my tires. I was able to return the next day without having to have the car towed in. I appreciated their help. While waiting for new tires, the one noticed me and asked if I had been able to make it back in without any problems. He also told me to let him know if I needed anything.

EDIT:A couple days after posting my review, I was contacted by Derek Scroggins from Ford City. He informed me that he pulled my records and found inconsistencies with my past 3 reports and that he would like to get to the bottom of why there was such variance in my reports. He offered to do a full inspection of my car and give me a car to drive at my convenience, free of charge. After re-inspecting my car, it was determined there was a combination of factors that led to the events that happened during my last oil change. I appreciated the effort they took to figure out what was going on and the lengths they went to remedy the issue.ORIGINAL:Ive been going to this particular Ford for around 4 years now and after my most recent visit, 2 days ago, my suspicions about this place are confirmed. I regularly get The Works oil change, which includes the following:•Tire Rotation and Pressure Check• Brake Inspection• Vehicle Checkup• Fluid Top-Off• Battery Test• Filter Check• Belts and Hoses CheckThey then provide you with a sheet with a diagram marking what they filled, didnt fill, what needs to be changed, what will need to be changed soon, and whats in good condition. I look at my sheet every time I go, which is once every 2 months. There have been times where I noticed everything is marked green, even though the previous time they were yellow. I noticed my wiper fluid needed to be filled soon after I had received my oil change, even though they claimed to have topped off my fluids, I will have issues with my car prior to bringing it in that they should notice during inspection that is never addressed. Most recently, after my oil change they told me my brakes and brake pads on my back tires were non-existent and metal is scraping metal and that they needed to be changed very soon plus new rotors because of the scraping. This is infuriating to me because when I got The Works 2 months prior, I received no indication or communication my brakes were at that level and needed to be changed. There is no noise coming from my car during braking, so metal is not yet scraping metal. Im convinced they are using deceptive measures and scare tactics to scare people into paying them to fix things.

Edit: the next time we had to take her car for warranty work, they called and begged her to bring the car in a couple days earlier then before because it would work better for their schedule even though we had our schedule worked out to have her use one of our other cars if it went over the warranty rental period. Her car sat for four days before they even started it, at which time they told us they didn’t have the parts and had to order them. Then they finally got to it and had to order another part, which has taken so long at this point it’s incurring rental car charges for us past the warranty rental period. Edit: they did take care of the rental car charges.I can understand needed to order a second part when the axle seal didn’t fix the leak, even if you possibly screwed up the seat on the axle and that’s why you had to replace it but whatever. The real issue I have is why you took 4 days to order parts when the appointment was scheduled for the work and the needed parts were known ahead of time. On top of that, what was the point of having us bring the car in earlier if you weren’t ready to work on it.Previously: My fiancé had a miscommunication about the price of a service item and they were very helpful in working something out since it was higher than anticipated since they told us one price three times and then tried to charge a different price upon picking the car up. I’ve had bad experiences with dealerships before but was pleasantly surprised they actually worked on something. But screwing up twice, I would rather not even take the car here for warranty work at this point.

They are always very informative and go above and beyond to make sure that I understand everything they are doing to my vehicle and why. When I called to make an appointment, I was told what services were recommended, how long it would take to do them, as well as the approximate cost. When I arrived with my car, I was again alerted to what was to be done and the cost. The recommended work was done as quoted. Ford city has excellent customer service, highly recommend. I initially bought the car from Ross Henson there who was extremely helpful and catered to my needs being a first time car buyer. When I had to put the car in for recalls Todd Ballard was the individual I dealt with at the service center. He was very professional and made sure that I was able to receive a rental car to go to work the next day and worked around my schedule.Overall I am highly satisfied with Ford City in Champaign and I would definitely recommend them in purchasing a new car or just for general maintenance!

This place is terrible! My 2017 ford fusion had a coolant leak into the engine .. it eventually blew a head gasket while under warranty they basically fixed the problem to get it past my warranty.when my warranty expired they said I need a new engine and it would be 6000 dollars. I took it in for the same problem 3 times after my car started eating coolant and oil they did not fix the issue (new engine) while under warranty and dropped a bombshell on me as soon as I passed my warranty date and took it in. I hate ford and I hate this dealer. They need to be sued to oblivion but dont have time or money to waste on an already terrible investment.

I took my truck in for air conditioning service I was charged close to 3000.00 dollars with fees and part because they didnt document the hose as the reason as they told me before winter and I was unable to take it back due to heath problems. I took it back and the whole process began over even after I had told them they said it was the hose replace parts that were unnecessary. I will never ever have my car serviced at Ford again. Ford City has always given the best service! My car was purchased there in 2011 but it hadnt been serviced there since now. Theyre walk in 27-point inspection is so convenient! They kept me update through the inspection and only charged me for the services I agree to have done based on their recommendations! Now my car is good to go for holiday travel. I am so impressed and thankful for the service I received at Champaign Ford City. I had to bring my car in for unexpected detail work, and Dan was great. He was able to take my car in on short notice, called me with an estimate that morning before starting the work, and kept in contact with me all day regarding when he would be done and my car would be ready to pick up. Clean facility with excellent service! Ive visited 10 times and they forgot to wash my car only one time. When I visited to fix my drivers seat plastic trim, they even vacuumed and washed car. The waiting area is as good as 5 star hotel lobby so Id rather wait there than ride back to office. Free coffee is also provided in waiting area. They also honored expired coupons. Their service advisors are always sincere and honest.

On a road trip my ford truck had an issue and I limped into the area, I asked the service center about repairing the truck and was told they could not get me in until Thursday. I understand you have customers waiting , so I asked if they could look at the belt for me. I was informed he was off in 40 minutes, and would not stay late to look at my truck, nor would any of his mechanics. I said, it is a belt, it is super fast and easy, could you please just look at it. He said he worked six days in a row and could not help me. I was thinking about buying a new ford explorer, I guess I need to reconsider. The parts guy was very nice however and called napa for me, where I could go get a belt.

Bought a 2018 mustang recently. Awesome car and great experience. Todd was able to find exactly what I wanted. When the Roush supercharger became available I got one of the first ones. Performance service dept installed it in a day and a half . Really made a beast of my car. After watching a YouTube video of the process I am more than impressed. Great job Champaign Ford sales and service departments .

I had routine oil and lube change on 2/4/15 and the experience as usual was very pleasant. My request to rinse off my floor mats was met with a positive yes and it goes to show the extent the Ford City staff goes to meet your needs and requests. The wait was not long and the price with the 99 point check is very comforting. My Ford Edge is the first Ford I have ever owned, and I can say the car along with the Ford City Service I receive has been worth the change in brands. Thank you Matt in the Service Department and all who have made my last six months a pleasure to own the car and be serviced at Ford City.

Dropped off a 2018 Raptor with 13000 miles that would not run on Sunday. Monday I got a rental - Fusion. TUESDAY I am told 2 to 3 weeks before they can look at it. Had it towed to the dealer I bought it from on Tuesday night. Needs fuel pump and injectors. This dealership should close - 2 to 3 weeks - really.

2014 - I got an oil change for my diesel truck using a coupon they sent me. It saved me $15. I feel like I have to be on my guard though because with an old vehicle they always seem to suggest hundreds of dollars in additional repairs every time I walk through the door so if I was rich and dumb Id be paying these guys thousands annually in maintenance. I prefer Car-X because they seem to get that old cars dont need everything done.2015 - I got an oil change on my focus using a coupon which for $30 was a great deal for everything that came with it. Service was quick and courteous, and no one tried to up-sell me on maintenance which was itemized on the receipt. In the end it cost me nothing because I had left over credit from their rewards program. Im starting to trust them more.2018 - This is the first time Ive done an oil change at a scheduled appointment time. My service was relatively fast, and the help was very courteous.

Everything went well. Staff was nice and friendly and got the ball rolling good. I went in to get an oil change, the man behind the counter said I get a complimentary car wash and vaccum. I was told my car was done and I couldnt find it. They forgot to tell me they washed it at illini Nissan, because their car wash was broken. So I waited until it was done. When it was done I saw my car completely soaked in water. Then I opened the doors and found that they did not vaccum. I didnt think much of it because it was free, but then again I had to wait for them to be done ap that really annoyed me and I called and said I cam come back and tried to accommodate me. Sadly I had to go back to work. They are very professional into fixing their mistakes I will give them that. I will definitely return for sure, but their should be better communication towards the people in the service department.
