They squeezed us into their tight schedule to help figure out the horrible screeching noise coming from my SUV. While it turned out to be rocks grinding against a rotor, they only charged us the shop minimum, no excessive diagnostic fee or add-on costs. But they checked things over and let us know that our systems looked good. I’ll go back to this honest mechanic when I’m in need.

Baker Automotive provides high quality services and repairs. Last week before going on a road trip I needed the car looked over. Baker auto worked me into their already full schedule and provided a diagnosis and helped prioritize the repairs. They treat their customers fairly and honestly. With another vehicle how much will you give me I needed some repairs to a window that would not fully shut. Once again they worked me into the already full schedule and completed the repairs in the day. I will continue bringing my vehicles to Baker Auto for repairs.

I had to return my vehicle back to Baker on a $2,200 job because the part they ordered from their vendor was broken. They charged me for it. To not pay the extra money, I needed to return my vehicle within the 6 month warranty. The car was only driven 5k miles when I brought it in the second time. (And it broke way before that) And it was a transfer case -those can go 200k. But the new problem was completely different than the old. There was no way of knowing it was related to the previous problem. Another auto shop didnt even think so, I didnt, and neither did Baker. They kept my car the second time for 6.5 weeks. They also dont comp your diagnosis charge if you end up getting the service done for that issue. I pleaded with them about my second charge due to their vendor issue, and they wouldnt do it. Bad business relations.

Baker Automotive is the place to go if you want a no BS experience with your car. They dont mark up prices and they communicate clearly about what needs to be done on your car now, vs, what you should keep an eye on - they will be clear with you but wont go searching for work on things that may not need to be done right away, which is important to me as Im not in a position to fix everything on my car all at once. They were quick as well and made the important repairs literally overnight. I strongly suggest going here if you want honesty, low prices, and clear communication about your vehicle.

Went in expecting a repair for a lean code. Preformed the transmission flush and oil change no problem. But when they fixed the lean code they had the car for a week, charged me over $600, broke the intake manifold and didn’t replace it, as well as didn’t fix the problem. Very unprofessional, and even hung up the phone when I spoke with them about the issues that were still happening

Extremely fair on pricing and very honest. I left my car with them while I was traveling, and I am really pleased with the results. They did my front and rear brakes and wheel cylinders for a much better price than what I was finding in Salt Lake. Definitely worth the drive! They were also very kind and pleasant to speak with. The whole thing felt very seamless. They have a key drop and so I never actually met anyone. These mechanics were very helpful to us in a bad situation. We had to get a ton of maintenance repairs and of course they kept finding more to do, however, on several occasions they decided to not make us pay the labor fees since a lot of the issues were quick fixes. I dont expect that kind of service from mechanics usually. They took the time to explain everything to us and were very nice. Best experience I have had with mechanics in my life.

The brakes on my wifes car were making horrible sounds recently so I googled brake service near me. Baker Automotive was the highest rated shop near my location so I took a chance and went to their garage. Im happy to say it was a good experience. I know cars. I also know what it should cost for repairs. So when one of our vehicles suffered a catastrophic engine failure, I knew what a fair price should be to replace the engine. After calling a half dozen local auto repair shops close to my house, I came away very disappointed by the inflated quotes I received. I talked with Gary Baker and he gave me an extremely fair and honest price, which was is some cases less than half what the local shops had quoted. Even though Garys shop is over 35 miles from my home, I towed our broken vehicle to him and couldnt be any happier with the result. Gary is very honest and reliable. He itemized everything he replaced, and gave me credit for parts he didnt end up needing. The work was done professionally and within the time expected. Awesome guys! I took my car and ask for repair and they checked and told me the initial checkup prize. I left my car and they call me after an hour and said your car has recall so you can take this to your dealer. They didnt ask for money and they checked my car for free. They could have fixed that issue and ask for money but they didnt. I will recommend this place. They are genuine.

Took my car because I thought I needed rear brakes. Turned out I didnt! They didnt charge me a dime. I told them I needed my oil changed but I didnt need that either. I just needed a couple quarts of oil. Cost me $10 bucks. Super great owner. Very honest!

Gary Baker is an honest mechanic with great pricing. I have brought my cars here for a couple of years since I met Gary and am always happy to share his name as a great mechanic. I have full confidence in the diagnosis and repairs they do at Baker Automotive and I have found their pricing to be consistent and competitive. For example, I just got my brake pads and rotors replaced with OEM parts. I was curious to see how Baker Automotive compared with pricing; they saved me about $100 compared to a quote for the same work from two other local shops and about $200 compared to the dealer. I wont take my cars anywhere else.

These guys are the greatest mechanics ever!! Here are two examples:1 - It was Christmas Eve, and we needed our car fixed. It was a substantial repair, but they got us in that day and had it done by 5 pm!! To top it off, it cost a third less of what other places had quoted us!!2 - Took it in today for a minor repair, and asked them about fixing one of our seat belts that wouldnt stay secured. After looking at it, he told us that he could fix it, BUT that instead of charging us the 30 minutes of labor, we could do it ourselves (and then told us how!)Each time we take our cars there they take great care of us!
