Hometown Car Care is truly a customer-focused business. I recently brought in my 27-year-old 1994 Mustang for a new clutch. Unfortunately, the after-market clutch they installed ended up having a squeaking issue. They put in a replacement clutch (same brand), but it too squeaked. While this sounds like the start of a negative business review, it isnt. They stuck with it and found an Original Equipment Manufacturer clutch from Ford to install, which resolved the issue. This was a unique and difficult problem to fix. All this extra work was done under warranty at no extra cost to me. Once the problem was resolved, I returned to pay them more for all the extra time and effort they had to put in, as I felt badly about it, but they wouldnt take any extra pay. They were only concerned about my customer satisfaction. If you are looking for a honest, customer-focused auto repair shop, look no further. You have found it.

Great service and theyre lightning quick too. On top of that, the price/quality ratio is the best Ive found so far. Most importantly, I think Hometown Car Care is a very honest and reliable business. I base my previous statement on the fact that I leave here with less problems down the line instead of more. Please keep this business alive as they appear to do honest work even during tough times. Absolutely the best service around. I dont trust most people, let alone most technicians touching my cars especially my project audi ttrs, but I will 100% trust Rob and his crew with it. All repairs and service ive had done between multiple cars have been done on time, quality of work is excellent, price is very fair, and very thorough.I recommend as many people as I can to them, and will continue to trust them with my cars. Really great service, the woman at the front desk is very helpful and knows her stuff. If she doesn’t know how to fix your problem she will find somebody who does and get you the information! I am a very happy customer!

I had a great experience at Hometown! I was quoted elsewhere as needing front & rear brake pads & rotors and a right rear caliper. Brought my car to Hometown as it’s close to my home and got good reviews. They called me to let me know I actually didn’t need front brakes yet or the right rear caliper. Saved me almost $600! They also notified me of what to do about a service message coming up—they told me it would likely be covered for free at a dealership under an extended warranty and that I should check with them first! Very friendly, professional, and efficient!

Great local shop that gets things done quickly. Went in to get a brake inspection since I knew mine were nearing the end( squeaking, increased breaking distance, bit of pulsating). Got me a good quote that was less than any dealership around and got it done in an hour and a half on a Friday afternoon at 3:30. Had other places tell me I had to replace everything and here they were honest and said it was my front rotors and pads I should replace for now.Didn’t have to keep my car overnight and my breaks work great. No squeaking and much more responsive. Hit this place up!

A+ Review. Almost bought a car at hometown auto, but didnt. However I really enjoyed the customer service and needed some work done and so i got some work done(CV shaft) there at hometown car care(in the same building as Hometown auto) and everything was taken car of in a timely matter and I was very pleased with the final result. Ill need some more work done probably in around 3 to 6 months and there is almost a 100 percent chance that i will go back there.

These guys have always been up front and honest and dealt with a lot of my questions as I am a bit particular on some things. Cant say enough good things about Charlie and his team, specifically Devin, he saw me broke down one day and stopped on his free will to help me out on the side of the road. Im 100% sold on the customer service with this shop, I take all my vehicles there!

Great auto repair shop

Took my vehicle in for a front end alignment- had replaced the major components but asked that everything be tightened down post-adjustment and that the castle nuts be pinned (with the pins in the cup holder).I double checked everything the next day- the nuts were hand tight and werent pinned, so essentially just hanging by the tapers of the ball joint. Not exactly something that instills confidence in work done.The receptionist that day had said something about a lift that day and causing some issues with other orders being done on time. In my opinion, that doesnt quite excuse the issue- it took me just another 10 minutes to tighten and pin everything.The pricing was fair, but I probably wont be back unless I need something in an emergency.

Ive had so many negative experiences with repair shops and it was a complete relief coming here. Everyone I encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. The issue with my vehicle was immediately identified followed by a quick resolution. The price was reasonable. Without a doubt, this will be my new repair shop.

Very reasonable priced, you don’t have to worry about them charging you for something you don’t need or that’s not even wrong with your car or finding something new broken after you pick your care up the first time! They’re going to find the problem, fix it or tell you if it’s not worth fixing! I love and trust these guys so much! If you live around the Cedarburg/Grafton area and need work done on your car look no further than Charlies. I dropped my car off at 4:30 for a brake pad/rotor replacement and it was available at 5:30. They called me to make sure what they were doing was okay and called me again once the fix was made. The price was $500 cheaper than what I was quoted at the dealership and the service was excellent. Friendly people, friendly service, and they even did an oil change free of charge. 10/10

The car eventually turned out ok, but the teenager at the counter had no idea what she was doing and was dressed like she didnt even work there. I was embarrassed about the whole experience since I was the one that referred my friend to have his auto repair done here in the first place! He said he waited for at least ten minutes, before anyone noticed he was there at all. The young girl came to the counter finally and ordered the wrong part for the car. The mechanic that did the work was nice and apologized, but I was very surprised that a business presented as nice as this had someone so immature and unprofessional as its representative to begin with. After I left I noticed a few other things that could have been fixed too!
