Hobby Lobby is cool! They have books and A lot more than hobby stuff. Nice home decor too. We came here for some vines or leaves and ended up walking out with $100 in stuff. Lol. They have a lot of stuff on sale and literally anything for anyone! Sports, fishing, under the sea or nautical, farm, just anything you could ask for ! Their lemonade decor and Fourth of July is cool too. Four stars because the checkout process takes so long.

My family and I visited Hobby Lobby in Cedar Rapids, IA on 10/8 around 6:26 PMThe cashier was nice but extremely slow taking her 30 minutes in total to check us out. Obviously she was in training. We were patient knowing “help” is difficult to come by at this time in our country.We had purchased many items one of which included a table top clock. The item was displayed in a black metal holder that one would place the clock in to display it on a desk. We assumed the item as priced included the holder because it not only didn’t have a price tag. The item was incapable of presentation without it.The manager on duty told us that the holder was not part of the price noted on the clock and is available for an additional purchase of $3.99. After 7 minutes of discussion with the manager and spending over $200+, as well as waiting over 30 minutes for this new employee to finish our order, I was upset.It seems a decision should have been made to provide the item at no charge considering the item could not be displayed without it, the amount of our purchase, and the time we were made to wait.I am having reservations about returning to this store as this was a poor decision made by this manager as it is known that When giving sparingly, one reaps sparingly 2 Corinthians 9:6.

I shopped at this store today and want to give a shot out to all the employees that were so helpful. Nice store. Thank you for having cash register with a employee working at it. Several were open. Not a long wait at all. And thank you Mary for carefully wrapping my breakable items before bagging them. She treated every item as if it was her own. Great service here. Thank you for putting the customer first. I will be back.

Terrible customer service. I bought a set of picture frame here at 50% off and when I went to use them they were all broken. I tried to take them back and no longer had the receipt because I obviously wasn’t planning on them being broken and they said without the receipt all they would give me was 10% of the price so $3.99 when I paid $20. It’s not my fault the frames were all broken. Apparently you need to open the boxes and check corners before purchasing because hobby lobby doesn’t care if your sold broken product. I was honest about buying them at 50% off and just wanted what I paid for them or replacement and they said because they don’t have them in stock anymore they couldn’t replace them and would only give me $3.99. Will not be shopping here again.

I love hobby lobby. Im extremely disappointed on them not caring any Halloween decorations. Id like to know the reason. So I could respond or even ask questions. Or hobby lobby could ask me my opinion?

Just stopped in to this location. Waited in line for a couple minutes, then I’m going to assume the manager piped up and said “she can help you on register 1” with attitude, and her and the cashier had been talking the whole time prior. The cashier made the comment “it’s Monday”. Not very impressed at all, maybe your cashiers need to be more attentive.

Overflowing with anything you need for crafting/decorating. Well organized and clean. Making returns is very easy.

Great craft & home decor store. I worked with the framing department this time.I have a business taking down antique barns and repurposing their wood into frames & other inter / exterior decor, furniture, and clean wood ready for use on accent walls... I came in today to purchase museum glass for a clients frame. The price was high, but I was thrilled that I was able to find it locally!

Plus, They had a great sale on fabrics and I found everything I needed.

Kmart of craft stores. Items made in China flood the shelves.I have had very bad luck in the fabric department trying to get help but at the time of my visits they didn’t have some experienced enough to answer any questions that I had. JoAnn fabrics is nearby so I go there for my fabrics.I do sometimes find things that Michaels does not carry in their art department so I use my 40% off coupon when I go.They have a large floral section, party supplies and cheap home decor.They seem to have staff through out the store intermittently stocking but few registers open. I have been in many times and have yet to find anyone that seems pleasant.

Rita in the custom frame shop was not only knowledgeable, patient, and generous with her time, but also was respectfully masked.

I know they have so many things there but, why they have to be so over priced? If you are into crafts, youll know how sad and depressing is to visit this store and not able to buy anything because everything is so expensive. They have pretty things there but you will find them also on-line and 50% cheaper, the boomer thing is that you have to wait for it to arrive.

Love this store! Has one of the biggest selection of just about everything hobby related. The prices are a bit steep but theyre mostly good quality. Some of the chains will turn your neck green so just beware of that. But they have such cute pendants and great art supplies!

None of the aisles are labeled, so it’s very difficult to find anything. Aisles are super narrow too. :(

Its not exactly fun when youre trying to look at the specific thing you came in to look at and an employee is sitting in front of it, and after 10 minutes of waiting for them to move, which they still didnt and only moved off about a foot to the side, theres a line of people coming from the other direction and you just give up and leave without buying anything. Well go to Joanns and get the same thing cheaper.

You can easily lose track of time in this store! Always my favorite and love their choice of music!

This is a review for their hiring process. In this day and age and during Covid19 they should advance their hiring capabilities and offer an ONLINE hiring process. Their hiring process is extremely antiquated without Covid and, more importantly, sets up the stage for discrimination forcing in-person applications from the start! I am surprised they have not been sued over this process in 2020 to negin with!

Lots of cool things to check out and spark creativity. The only downside was the organization and lack of signage. I went in looking for one specific thing and had to walk through the entire store to find it. There were 3 times I thought I had found the right area, but it wasnt even close. Thought about asking staff, but it was a couple weeks before the Christmas, so they were kind of busy. The cashiers were nice and friendly both times though.

They are a Christian store. They are a clean and organized store. They have everything for decorating, crafting, framing, cake decorating sewing, and more.

I love their quality items.

Went there 6/25/20, & the 2 workers that we tried to get help from,, were very short with me & my Husband. Its like they didnt want to be bothered.When we checked out, & showed the cashier their actual on line price of an item, that was not the same price in the store,, she treated us like we were lying. Felt very uncomfortable there, & it seemed like the workers were all mad about something ….Will not go back.

This is a fantastic Hobby Lobby. A lot of people dont necessarily care for Hobby Lobby in general, but that aside, the quality of selection is FAR better than Michaels or Joanns, and the employees are way more knowledgable. I had a great interaction with an employee while looking for crochet specific items that really helped me find what I was looking for in a pinch. This location also offers classes. Only removed a star because in general, there is always ridiculous lines to check out. They need more employees at the check out counters all the time.

The best craft items. All the crafty church women go to this Christian owned store and crafts and homemade dresses and quilts are the way they compete and show their superiority to each other. HOBBY LOBBY knows its target audience and comes through in spades. You may not be able to get birth control with their insurance, but you can get every color of Swarovski crystal, all of the hard to find mod podge variations, and the best creative selection of drawer knobs around. whether Jesus is or is not your savior, if you craft, this IS, or should be, your go to store for all things of the craft.

Great store, always clean and organized. Ive never had to look for long before a friendly staff member was there asking if I needed help. Just remember not to go on Sundays, because they close for their staff to have time for family and worship. Highly suggest over other craft stores.

First time ever going to one. I was taken by a friend. She has changed my life forever. I have so many projects that I am going to do to spice up my home. The prices were all affordable and they have just about everything that you can imagine when it comes to crafts. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
