Ive been going here for years and the service has been great. My most recent positive experience came when my glasses broke and we thought we needed to send them in. But rockstar Tina was able to find a piece to fix them on-site. So appreciated.

The entire staff was super friendly. Walked me threw everything helped me pick out the perfect glasses. Dr was very through in explaining how to adjust to my new progressive glasses. This was my first visit but wont be my last.

Love Cedar Rapids Eye Care! They have helped our family with vision needs for 16 years and continuing. Anything from glasses, vision therapy, to progressive bifocals and perscription sunglasses. I have never felt more comfortable and heard at a doctors visit. The therapists and doctors I saw listened to my symptoms and explained my diagnosis to me in words I understood. They explained the options I had and let me choose my course of action. Would highly recommend to anyone!

*edit* I was contacted about the final bit on my review and they were awesome at fixing the issue. Yay!I was greeted nicely when I walked in, and again when my name was called. She walked me through the retnal scans well. Very good coaching. The doctor was educational and explained things well. The only time things felt cold, was when I was at the desk to pay for my service, that lady seemed very cold and didnt talk. She asked me a question very quickly and quietly when the room got loud, so I answer yes, even though I didnt hear her. I pay and she seemed just annoyed to be around people. Perhaps she has anxiety like me, or just having a bad day, but I at least try keeping a positive personality and a smile in my eyes. The rest of the service was perfect. Just not the final bit.

Ive been going to Cedar Rapids Eye Care since it was downtown in the alliant energy building. I have always had a good experience with them. And highly recommend them for vision care.

All the team members are Very friendly, warm, professional, detail oriented. All assessment and the machine used were thoroughly explained. The results from the tests and my overall diagnosis explained in detail.

My annual eye exam took place yesterday. The atmosphere there was, as always, extremely friendly. Dr. Todd is a wonderful provider, and every person who interacted with me was very caring and friendly. Everyone at the office listens to what the patient needs. I am not a review type of gal - but dang. I get my eyes check often here with great service and great help. I typically get contacts but decided to get some backup glasses incase my contacts ran out unexpectedly. Well, this was my first time getting glasses in 10 years (on top of COVID). An associate took me under her wing and helped me choose the right glasses for my face, for my eye color, and that were the most me. Honestly, the glasses she picked, I would probably not have on my own. Today I has been my first day with them on and wow - I love them. They are perfect. I am glad I trusted her. I did not know I liked glasses so much and it is all thanks to CREC.

Dr. Todd is phenomenal! He truly cares about each of his patients. He listens carefully and is very knowledgeable. He has gone above and beyond to find contacts that are a good fit for me. All the staff at Cedar Rapids Eye Care are so nice and helpful. They are honest and caring. They use the latest technology making your visit efficient and painless. In fact, I love this office so much I still schedule appointments here when I am in town visiting even though I live in Virginia!

What a great experience I had with Cedar Rapids Eye Care from start to finish. The waiting room was nice and clean, the receptionist was friendly and the wait time was exactly on with my appointment scheduled time. Dr Berger was very professional, knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable during my entire eye exam. He took the time to explain each exam and the importance of eye care. He also followed up with me on my prescription and how my glasses worked out. I really appreciated the time and attention not only when I showed up for my exam, but even after my appointment. This office is clean and spacious, with beautiful modern decor. There is a separate entry for the childrens eye clinic within the main entry. Wait time is often less than 5 min. The doctors within the office are confident and relatable. I feel Im getting the best care from great individuals.

Our family has been coming here since our daughter had eye therapy over 10 years ago. The staff has always been very friendly. We were out of town and our son forgot his contact they were awesome in finding an office that would help us with replacements. We have three generations going to Cedar Rapids eye care at this time . Our family has gone to Cedar Rapids Eye Care since our daughters were in elementary school (now graduating :) ). We have always gotten thorough exams and each change the girls eyes have gone through, as well as my husbands and my more recent changes (hello progressives) have been explained as well as corrected. Not only do they use cutting edge diagnostics, but they explain what each test and picture reveals about the overall health of our eyes.The office staff is very friendly and helpful, whether it be with rebate info or providing opinions on which glasses look the best. I couldnt give a higher rating, they are truly wonderful.

All of the staff were super helpful and patient with my 3 year old. She was nervous for her appointment and they made her feel comfortable. Recommend for all children and adults.

Absolutely love this office. I had 3 eye doctors recommended this office for my daughters vision therapy. I thought maybe University of Iowa would be closer and just as good, but after all three days this is where they would send their own child, I was convinced. And now I know they worth it!

My Wife, Son, and Myself see three different Dr.s and they all do a great job caring for our family. I personally see Dr. Berger and hes very attentive. I struggled for a while finding an eye care center that had great support all around from the Dr. to front desk staff to billing etc. and they do a great job. I highly recommend Cedar Rapids Eye Care!

The Doctors and staff are all very professional, friendly, and helpful. They answered all of my questions. Dr Kara Heying is great, working with me to find a solution that works for me for my extremely dry eyes. She has also made a HUGE impact in my son’s life through vision therapy when he was younger! Now anytime I hear of a child struggling the way my son did, I refer them to Cedar Rapids Eye Care.

It had been quite a few years since my last eye exam and I decided to try Cedar Rapids Eye Care as it was close to work. I saw Dr. Ryan Berger - he was so nice and very thorough! I purchased both prescription sunglasses and eyeglasses from there as well. I must have tried on 30 frames and really appreciate the time they took to help me pick out the right pair. They have a great selection with all of the top brands. Will definitely stick with this office from now on!

They took art the necessary precautions for protecting us all from a possible COVID infection or spread and then provided the best possible care using the latest technology making everything easy and quick. We also walked out with great glasses!

Not real happy with our interactions here. Went to get our son tested for his visual development which was awkward. My wife came in late and the font desk would not allow her to go back with me, so she left as she didnt understand what was going on. And it was implied we would see the the results of the test on the day of which was not the case, so we had to schedule another appointment to go over the results as it would take time for them to crunch the numbers. So we came back and were handed a lengthy report which is really just cut and pasted the percentiles of our sons evaluation without actually seeing the raw data. 99% of the report is explaining what they are testing. The data could have easily fit on a note card. Anyway, we were there 15 min early and ended up having plenty of time to read through the report as they we 45 min late getting to us. No warning on running behind. And the doctor didnt seem to read up on our sons numbers as they had to look everything up. Anyway, I would not recommend taking your child here for sensory/visual processing but do tour to get in your own opinion. Another place to check out is Fitzgerald and Associates.

Our entire family (2 adults 3 boys) goes to CR Eye Care. They provide excellent service and always go above and beyond. My youngest son (age 9) is in Vision Therapy with Maria. I cannot express enough how important this has been for his development. We have seen him progress in leaps and bounds. It is amazing to see how much their work is improving and strengthening his eyes. We look forward to our visits and can always count on them for the latest information. The doctors and staff put us, as a family, first and are always happy to accommodate our schedule.

Cedar Rapids Eye Care is staffed with experienced, caring doctors & staff. I was referred by my daughter, whose entire family is seen there. They schedule their appointments so there’s minimal waiting & yet never rush you through your appointment. I highly recommend them!

I have been going there, along with my kids, for at least 30 years. Nice environment and quality care, from glasses to contacts, and child eye therapy, which really helped my son.

The actual eye doctors are very nice but theyre not very careful. Ive been going here two and a half years. I just found out today that the perception I have been wearing and the prescription thats in my chart are two different ones. No one caught this until I called today because what I left the office with didnt match what I had at home. Surprise! Theyre both wrong. Now I have to run across town and pick up what Im hoping is the presciption in my chart. This happened work my daughter last month too, so theyre 0 for 2. This might explain the horrible headaches I have had for 2+ years. I thought they were a hormone issue, but it might be because of eye strain.

This is a wonderful place for kids and adults! Our whole family goes here for all of our eyecare needs.

We have come here for years, I’ve had glasses since I was 8. The eye doctors are AMAZING! However, this last time I went, my sister and I ordered glasses at the same time. The man who helped us put the wrong prescription on the order and gave my prescription to my sister and hers to me. We got that solved and then I had to get new lenses again, which they were good about. HOWEVER, when they came in I had to drop my frames off so they could grind the lenses. When we came to pick them up, they had not been done because they were “put in the wrong tray”. We had a 9 am appointment for them to get done and because the frames “weren’t there”, they just didn’t get done. While discussing this with the same man who messed up the first pair, he was not kind or polite and tried to put the blame on someone else. I am VERY disappointed with this service and if I did not like the doctors I would not be returning here.

You will never find a group of professional, yet down to earth, group of people. From the front desk to the wonderful Dr. Todd, they are the best.
