The sales man did not want to sell us a sofa unless we were also going to buy a matching love seat. We were looking for sofas only and even though everything is priced by piece he would only tell us about sofas that didnt have love seats. We were looking to spend thousands on a powered recliner sofa and walked out, even though were already seen two we actually liked because of how poorly he was treating us for only wanting to buy a sofa alone.

Bought a couch a little over a year ago. A seem started coming apart in a cushion which is sown on. Called and was told there is only a 1 year warranty so now I have spent hundreds on a couch that lasted a little over a year. Pretty bad deal for me.Guy on the phone said he would have someone come see if they could sow it back up but never got the call. I will not and would not recommend this company as they certainly havent cared to take care of my issue so I will have to go buy my second sectional in the last year or so, very disappointed companies no longer care unless they must.

Had a hard time getting furniture for some reason. But went to every store in town and they were telling me I needed to wait a couple months. I went in here and Bill told me it was the same here too but I would save money and I sure did. While I was waiting on my couch to get here that price went way up buddy of mine ended up paying 400 bucks more than me somewhere else. We all waited about the same but I paid a lot less.

During a pandemic that has changed the world, everything has changed from schools and movie theatres closing. Everything from appliances, building supplies and furniture are taking forever to get into stores. I ordered furniture last year not because I wanted to, but because I had to, every place was the same the only difference between this store and the others is they didnt lie about how long it would take, yes delays took place but every month on their Facebook was an article saying why that was happening. Presidents of companies saying the same thing, both liberal and conservative news sources. It took 5 months but it would have been longer if I cancelled and started over somewhere else. Thank you CR Home Furnishings for having the best price in the area and being a place we can all count on in Cedar Rapids.

My husband and I ordered a king size platform bed frame. We already had the mattress ordered elsewhere. Terry was incredibly kind and helpful. He listened to all our needs (we were pretty picky!) and found us a few options that fit our budget. The bed arrived early for us to pick up, and we are very pleased with our purchase. We will certainly be back for future purchases.

What an incredible place! For being so small staffed, they do a lot of work compared to big box stores. In a furniture shortage, they post furniture available right away on the Facebook page which is updated often, with news about the furniture industry unlike most stores. Small business that has the lowest prices in the area. I will always look here first.

No pressure at all. If youre looking for someone to hound you when you first walk in, then dont go here. Very knowledgeable salesman, Jimmy who helped when we needed him and let us still look around on our own. Ended up buying on the first trip into the store. Awesome price and beautiful furniture. I hate giving bad reviews but im very disappointed with how things played out. They had a sectional I was eyeing for awhile and it was such a good deal, I bought it and it was my first time in there. I ordered it in the beginning of june (around the 10th) It was supposed to be here around the end of july, as that was what I was told when ordering it. (and delivered on the 1st to my apt.) Come around to the very end of July, still no call from them. I had to call for the updates, well then it got pushed back. I said no worries, (even thought I needed a sofa for my apartment asap) I waited because they said it should be here around august 26, that time starts to roll around and still no call again! I had to call and find out it was delayed again until September 6th. Once again I said no worries, (I really loves and wanted this sectional!) but it got pushed back again this time towards the end of Sept. I said screw it. I tried to let them keep my business and i tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. But I waited over four months and nothing, I tried getting them to give me a little discount of anything for my inconvenience but they wouldnt. I understand the pandemic is going on but its just terrible customer service and my experience was no longer good. Very bummed about not getting the sectional anymore. I gave 2 stars and not one because Jimmy was understanding about my frustrations about not having furniture for my place (plz keep in mind this is my first apt so i had no sofa prior) and allowed me to go ahead and get a refund. Maybe ill try again in the future but as of right now, i wont be back.

Locally owned. Sell the same name brand furniture as the factory store down the road does, saved me $700 total on entire sofa, loveseat, recliner from what factory store charges. Great staff. Also good to know, the furniture they have all from companies that are manufacturing in the United States, so it even more amazing that you can buy at this price and support our economy. I know at least one chain that has quite a bit of furniture from outsourced manufacturing at quit a bit more.Note: I did buy in July 2020, so it was during this pandemic. Up front they were forward with the wait and possible delays. This was and still is very common at all furniture stores as I had looked around and had the same wait times given at several stores. My pieces came in at different times with the loveseat taking the longest, but it is this way everywhere. I called to check in close to my initial expected time, and they were prompt calling back when they found out. Again, team was great, and well worth the wait.Update: went back now 4 months later to purchase a new matress for my spare room. Had exactly what I was looking for at unbeatable price having looked around. Again, at the price I thought for sure it would be imported, nope. Made up in Wisconsin. I may have been lucky this time having the mattress in stock, but I think waits on mattresses orders are not nearly as long as furniture can be, but again they have some good choices at all price levels that are hard to beat, so worth any wait.

Initial visit to the store was great. Nice clean display room, staff was friendly but not pushy. We went in for a couch but the prices were so good that we walked out with a couch/loveseat/coffee table/dining set.We were warned that our furniture would take about 6 weeks to come in (this was around 8/2/20), so we were expecting the end of September. We were okay with this because every other furniture store we had looked at was shipping to the end of October, so this was still sooner.I was under the impression that they were going to call us to confirm when they placed the order, but when I had not heard anything a week later I called to see if the order had been placed. I left messages with staff the first 2 days with promises that someone would call me back that day (never did), then on the 3rd day I got someone who could help. Unfortunately that someone was incredibly rude and explained that they do not contact me until they have received the furniture and its ready to be picked up/delivered so theres no reason for you to call us every day if we dont have an update (mind you, this was the first time I had actually talked to someone about an update).I left it alone until the end of September rolls around and we do not get a phone call, on 9/28 I call to check on the status of the order and again had to leave a message with another staff member because nobody was available to help me. I called again on 9/29, and finally on 9/30 I had my husband call to see if maybe he could get someone to give us an answer. When he called, someone answered that was able to look into it and they said yeah its delivery date was supposed to be today, call back on 10/2 if you havent heard from us. So I wait until 10/5 to give extra time, and I call back. This time someone who can help me picks up the phone right away, I explained that we were told the delivery would be here on 9/30 and its 10/5 and we havent heard from anyone so I wanted to see where everything was at. The guy on the phone was once again incredibly rude and obviously annoyed with me, so he just barks back this isnt Amazon, you arent going to get your furniture within 2 business days and we cant track where your delivery is.At this point I was fuming and told my husband we need to either ask for a refund or he will have to be in contact with them because I am tired of trying to track someone down only to be met with a snarky attitude. My husband spoke to them the next day and they said the best they can do is just call us whenever the order comes in.On 10/19 we finally got the call and had our couch/coffee table/dining set delivered. I was very appreciative that the delivery men brought everything in our house and put it together, but I noticed they were being unusually rough with everything. When they left I realized the coffee table had a huge gash in the top of it and two of the legs had big scrapes in the paint/finish. With how much of a hassle it was to get this furniture, and the fact that we were still waiting on the loveseat - my husband and I decided to just take the loss and keep the damaged coffee table.It is now 11/18/20 and our loveseat was finally delivered (we ordered it on 8/2/20 mind you).When we first walked out of this store, we thought we were customers for life because of how great the prices and the customer service are. But with how much of a hassle it was to talk to someone about a timeline, (and how rude they were when I did get them on the phone) we will not be back.If you want the best prices I honestly do think they have them, just be aware that it may be 3-5 months before you receive anything and if you call them for updates they will make sure you know how much of an inconvenience you are.

Been shopping here for years, nice people all the way from ownership to guys loading furniture. Always paid less for my furniture than any other store around and when my furniture gets old or breaks down, I know where to look, cant ask for much more than that in a furniture store.

Still waiting for my future. Poor customer service. I had too call and find out when they where you going to deliver. Been two months and still no further. The next delivery date is July 20th. Hope my furniture come in. Other wise I will have call again cause the lack of communication,Suck!!! On their part. Should have had the common currency to let the Custer know that the warehouses is back up with oders..Had concerns with other people orders due too the sale.. if you choose to buy something l. Good Luck!!!

We had a great experience buying our furniture from CR Home furnishings- they helped us find exactly what we wanted and worked with us to find the colors we needed. They had great prices and if you dont see something on the floor they will pull up the screen and help you find what your looking for. Our furniture is arriving next week and we couldnt be happier! Great deals on furniture. But DO NOT FINANCE through cedar river finance. They lost an $800 payment of ours. Their billing statements were missing payments. Their gross incompetence cost us over $200 in interest. We were waiting to get a corrected statement to pay off the amount and it was conviently not sent out until after the 1 year promotion ended. The supervisor there admitted to the multiple mistakes but refused to refund the interest charge- which we paid.

This furniture store seems to have great deals and semi-quality furniture but their customer service is absolutely non-existent!!!I purchased an expensive furniture set from here and once it was delivered I realized that it wasnt going to fit my living room. They would not return or exchange!! Even though they just delivered it.Make sure to read all the fine print- or lack there of, very closely!!!! If you leave honest feedback online theyll delete it to ensure no one knows what kind of business they run.Id love to give it a negative 5 stars!!
