Short version: They took FIVE HOURS to do a scheduled in advance oil change. Longer version:The lady was so nice and I appreciate her kindness, but I am disappointed with Midtown. I tried to walk in for an oil change on Monday, and they said I had to make an appointment. No biggie, that’s fine. We schedule one for Thursday morning at 8am. I drop my car off that morning, and they tell me they’re currently working on other cars so I can come back around noon. What????? I probably should have just told them never mind and gone to Jiffy Lube, but I already given them my keys. I killed a bunch of time in town because I had no other ride to take me home. At 11:40am I called and they said it might be another hour-hour and a half. Patience was wearing thin, but I waited a little longer and finally just walked there and was going to wait until they were done. I got there at 1 and it was done. But no call or notification to let me know. Which would have been nice considering how long I was told to wait. I was still charged full price but got an extra free car wash for the inconvenience.I understand being short staffed sucks and things happen. But guys…. 5 hours for an oil change. C’mon.

Had vehicle towed here in middle of night after having engine issues. Staff was helpful each time we talked and were able to diagnose the issue and helped us figure out a plan to get our vehicle back into working condition.

Our car broke down in Cedar City while traveling and Midtown Tire & Auto fit us into their already busy schedule, fixed our broken alternator, and got us back out on the road so that we could get home safely. They were very professional and we are so grateful!

We left the state for a number of years, and after recently returning, I went in to get some new tires and they found me a fantastic deal, which was about $300 or $400 cheaper than their competitor up the street. Very disappointed in my experience with Midtown. My daughter is going to SUU and her car wouldnt start. I checked reviews and selected Midtown due to positive reviews. I spoke with them over the phone about the vehicle problems before having it towed there. They responded right away and stated it needed a new battery and starter. I specifically asked about the alternator (what I thought the problem was) and they stated the alternator was fine and just needed the new starter and battery for around $500. They called me back within the hour and apologized and stated the alternator was bad now. Gave me a new quote of over $800.00 They stated there was confusion on their testing and diagnosis on the alternator and it needed a new one. I thought it strange and called around and was told by trusted mechanics that all three going out at the same time was highly unusual and Midtown was on the high end of pricing for the repairs. I called back to share my concern of all three going out and pricing and was told that was their repair pricing and diagnosis of the car. He did call me back again to say he double checked the starter personally and it wasnt working. Just questionable service when they stated alternator was good then bad, and starter was bad, check again, still bad.

My dad purchased new tires online and Midtown did the install and maintenance. Very happy!!!

We are honest and quick to do an awesome service. Biggest problem I have with them is theyre too busy. Its hard to get in and get some work done on your vehicle sometimes because they have so much business.

Had a tire leak while driving through and this place advertised being open until 5:30. We arrived about 5:05 and they said they send all their mechanics home at 5:00. They shouldnt advertise on maps a time that they dont actually service vehicles. Waste of my time.

I cannot say enough good about these guys. They are honest and fair. Very friendly and fast customer service. Ive rarely been to such a friendly shop, if ever. The labor is very well priced. I had my ac recharged (it had been eight years, I figured it was time. Feels great) They did a great job on recharging it. They also gave me a coupon for a free car wash. I will definitely be coming back.

Had a bad misfire on my car, took it here for service, first time they changed some regular maintenance parts, and I was assured things had been inspected and checked. The problem came back within 2 days, So i returned to see what gives. They showed me a pinched short U-hose, and said it was obvious that it was causing problems. Oh really? So if it was obvious why was it missed on the first inspection? and how come my car began misfiring yet AGAIN 3 days later, again? Im looking elsewhere for service, they already got enough out of me.

We have been using Mid Town for a long time, they work on all of our company and person vehicles. They take the time to make sure the little things are taken care of and do the best they can. I am not from Cedar City but was passing through and had some serious concerns about my car. I asked at a local business who they recommend for automobile problems and they recommended Midtown Tire and Auto. I arrived shortly before closing on a Saturday and they were willing to fit my car into their schedule and check my car out to may sure it was safe to continue on my trip. They were very nice about it, and they did not charge me anything since there was not work that needed to be done at that time. I was very glad they were responsive to my concerns and were honest and did not invent a problem.

My son is a first year college student at SUU. His truck was acting funny and we are 15 hours away. We told him to take it to Midtown and they treated him like he was family there. What an awesome shop! I got dropped off here from Mountain Towing to get my oil pan replaced. They ordered my OEM part for next day delivery to get it replaced asap. Since Im car camping, I needed access to my car several times and they let me get into it when I needed. Very helpful shop.

Grumpy! Felt like the guy we dealt with woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Maybe his cat died that morning (if so, I am sorry) but just as fast as we handed over our keys and walked out to the parking lot, we turned around and decided to get them back. Found a place that was more than happy to take us on as new customers and will have us coming back. First impressions say a lot.

I am currently sitting in the Midtown Auto lobby waiting for my car to receive a simple oil change. I have been waiting for over an hour and a half now, but my vehicle has not moved. I called yesterday and made an appointment, but that does not seem to make a difference in the wait time. They are very nice at the front desk, but it must be the mechanics are slow or spread thin. Would not recommend for routine maintenance.

These guys have won a customer for life. Outstanding service, prompt communication, and they dont fix things that arent broken. I went in expecting to have to shell out $1500. The things I thought were wrong were just fine. I ended up having them change the oil and service the transmission and was out of there for under $100. Ill be back.

Chris does a great job at Midtown. I took my car to get new tires and brakes after buying a used car. They told me they would love to do whatever I requested, but I could get a few more miles out of both. This has been my experience over the past two years. Not only are they great mechanics, they also look out for their customers.

At about 11am, en route from St. George back to Logan our back passenger wheel bearing started to go out. No one in Parowan could get us in before 4pm (and we had appointments in Logan starting at 7), but Midtown Tire and Auto was recommended. We called Chris, who said he could get us in about as soon as we could get back to Cedar City.I was afraid he was just luring me in only to get started much later, but we didnt have much choice, I tried 6 shops and he promised the earliest time by far. He took our car in EXACTLY when he said he would. They changed the bearing and got us out in time to still make it back to our appointments in Logan that evening.Chris communicated well with us when the shop had made their best diagnosis, answered our questions and let us make the decision. We made it to Logan with time to spare. Glad we went.

CJ was a live safer. After a nightmare experience at Costco (waiting 3 weeks for a single tire) we were in a pinch and needed a tire 24 hours before a long trip. CJ was able to order the tire and get it in the next day, and installation took less than an hour. The incredible customer service gained a new customer today! I’ll definitely be back in the future.

DISHONEST!!! When visiting Cedar City we paid for an alignment with the simple instructions to make sure the steering wheel is straight. It was slightly off where it would drift to the left. Well, needless to say, it wasnt aligned properly. They provided no report showing before and after measurements showing alignment adjustments. Hence, youd never know if they did anything.They probably saw our out of state plates and figured they could just take our money. Had to pay another shop in another city to finally do it right.RESPONSE to Midtown Tire & Auto: It was my wife that brought it into your shop last year, as I confirmed the name on credit card statement before leaving an honest review of our experience.

We have been going to them for almost as long as we have lived in Cedar. They are good to get on our vehicles and I always feel they are not trying to do repairs that we do not need. They have even dropped my wife off at her work as they were working on one of our cars and then picked her up when the car was done.

Got us out of a bind on our way back up north from zion. Car was overheating and had to get towed there in the middle of the night. They were able to get us in very quickly in the morning, repaired and on the road again within a few hours, for a fair price. Thanks guys.

There was large leak in the exhaust of my Jeep. I had people in my garage looking at it and they all agreed that it was probably going to be a costly replacement or repair. I took it to Midtown and they found a simple solution to it when they easily could have padded the invoice with expensive repairs. Highly recommended!

I wouldnt let my biggest enemy get their car fixed at Midtown Automotive. Aside from the owner and manager being so arrogantly rude, they dont stand by theyre work. To the point I now have attorneys in place to help me with this slam dunk case. I will blast their reviews until everyone sees how evil and greedy these guys are. They do shotty work and blame it on the customer. Ive never been so disgusted in a place of business or treated so poorly. Especially when its THEIR FAULT, proven by numerous other mechanics. DO NOT GO HERE even in your life depends on it, TRUST ME.

DO NOT GO TO!!! They destroyed all of my wheels. All they had to do was rotate my tires and they torqued down the lugnuts way too tight, broke all the covers, and now that I need new tires they are torqued down so much that my wheels have to be damaged to get them off. AND they kept my key for my wheels. So something as simple as rotating my tires they’re too incompetent to do, and is going to cost me $1500 in new wheels. Thank god I never had a flat tire on the side of the road since they kept my key. Worthless.

I inadvertently over-filled my Acura with oil, with the result that the crank would whip the oil into foam which isnt so great for lubrication. Until I could get some of the oil out, the car would lose power and die. Rather than risk damage, we had the car towed to Cedar City where the next morning Mid-town made it a priority to check out the car. I had drained enough oil out, and diagnosis indicated our car was good to go. We made it back home to Colorado with no problems.The most amazing thing, when it was time to pay for Mid-towns time and trouble, I was told there would be no charge. Really rare in my experience so Mid-town is worthy of ten stars in my book.
