I literally walked around 35 minutes in the nail section for a picture hanging kit, after showing 3 associate what I was looking for from the Home Depot website, I was assured that your store did not have any in stock. I was passed around from associate to associate none of them knew what it was. I eventually gave up but something told me that the oldest looking associate in the store might have the answer. I approached an elderly gentleman, Carl, at the self check out immediately told me where they were (isle 13 btw). There’s a whole section of them, when I was guaranteed that they do not exist in your store! Please get associate that cares. Thank you Carl!

Great service! The front desk was very helpful especially Jade and the manager on duty with her. I truly appreciate all the help from my salesperson in appliances- SXK, and Raphael and Adrian in flooring. You guys are the best part of Home Depot. Thanks again for all of your help.

MUCH improved. From 2014-2020, I went to this Home Depot about a dozen times and always regretted it. Always understaffed — it was harder to hunt down an employee than the damn product I needed. And if I did find a worker, they were always grumpy and trying to avoid helping me. The other day, I had to go in and return something my wife had bought. Instantly, I noticed store employees everywhere I looked, and they all seemed to be smiling and chatting. It was a jarring contrast.Shout out to Tatyiana, who tolerated me obnoxiously/simultaneously being on a phone call while she tried to help me choose the right key. She kept smiling and was very helpful. After being thoroughly surprised by the congenial experience, I asked, “So did you all happen to get a new manger around here or something?” She said, “Yep. His name’s Brad.”Figures. Good job, Brad. I’ll be back.

Great support at the Catonsville Home Depot. I ordered items online for pickup today and the manager was very helpful in securing the military discount. Very professional and appreciated!

I often have to get supplies for various personal and work projects. If they have what you need in store you will likely be ok. If you have to have something delivered.. not so much. I ordered some lumber they said it would not be in for 3 weeks. Fine. Two weeks later I get a call that if I dont pick up my lumber today the lumber would be returned... I picked it up but did not appreciate the attitude or lack of heads up.

My pool had a leak! I frantically walked into the store when a lovely young woman (I didn’t catch her name, but she had beautiful green braids) asked if I needed help. “Honey, you look like you’re ready to rule the day, lookin’ like Wonder Woman.” She was so sweet and helped me relax, pointing me in the right direction.Upon looking, the item I came for, which stated they had 24 in stock online, was nowhere to be found. A young man named DJ stopped what he was doing, walked over to me, and said, “ma’am, can I help you? You look like you could use some assistance.” I told him I was looking for puddy to stop a leak in my pool, showing him that they should have 24 in stock. He went out of his way to find those boxes and get me what I need so quickly. We had a really sweet conversation the whole time and I told him how much I appreciated not only his kindness, but everyone at this store’s. I told him I’ve lived all over the country (military) and this is my favorite store for customer service.A few days later, my sister and I went to get some gym mats to put under our pool. The conversation we had with the cashier left my sister and me feeling so good! Her kindness and tips on returning the items should they not work, set my mind at such ease. I truly appreciate you all, and thank you for being so wonderful.

Not a bad experience. Beware of those promotional offers. Youll be paying double interest. Read the fine print and ask questions. Short of the long pay your bill in full. Eliminate paying the interest totally!!

Home depot needs to be more organized with their inventory.

This rating is particularly for the paint department. I usually go the extra distance to this location because they are quite the help, very on point & knowledgeable. It’s definitely worth the drive. Thanks to customer service also, they were helpful & very friendly during my return transaction. The gentleman in the paint department advised me on which Gray I should put in my kitchen after I selected the Goth Gray, he was like ummmm, this is for the kitchen?!? lol. He went right away & chose a more suitable color that we both agreed on & also the right paint to use for my kitchen cabinets. See you guys on my next project!

Went in for 2 stainless steel screws (mounting shower rod brackets through tile and cement board), green Scotchbrite pads, a clear mildew-resistant shower curtain liner and work gloves. They had everything I needed except for a clear shower curtain liner that has suction cups on the edges. I will need to get that liner online. Picture shows my Avengers decorative shower curtain I bought online and the rod I used the screws to install. The non-tiled walls are not painted yet, the are covered in old layer of wallpaper glue.

I’ve had several bad experiences with Home Depot. Ordered a refrigerator a few months back, and the people delivering it didn’t want to put in the waterline. Recently got a washer from here and waited two weeks for it to come. Was hoping we didn’t get some lazy workers this time like the last. The workers did not want to hook up the washer because they didn’t want to put in the gas line, so we returned the washer and now waiting another week for a different delivery date. Absolutely do not buy appliances from Home Depot unless you have to because their workers are lazy and don’t understand good customer service.

Thanks to two employees I was able to get some hard to reach wood pellets. These are very difficult to get off season but I use them as animal bedding. Thank you again!

The tool rental dept here are exceptional! These ladies held it down! They were dealing with grumpy customers and rudeness with style and class. They were very professional and knew their stuff. My hat goes off to Shanias (hope I spelled correctly) I really am thankful for her patience and getting me out the store with help to get the equipment into my truck.

Had to ask multiple employees for help finding something. The first guy told me that the thing I was looking for was not in aisle 59 like the website showed. He basically said that aisle 59 didnt exist. So I went to the aisle he said (12) and the item was not there. I asked another person who was stocking nearby. He said, thats not in this aisle, its in 59. He told me how to get to aisle 59 and indeed the item was there. So that guy gets 5 stars, the first guy gets 0.

Pretty good experience. The flowers were plentiful and beautiful but I did not see what I wanted at that time. The problem I had was at the checkout with my store credit card,unused but it said $0 balance. The young lady at the checkout tried to help and got the same response. It should have had $11.03 based on the return. I still had a good experience and was glad to be out around people.

Pretty much the worst Home Depot Ive ever been to. I guess its better than nothing but the unstocked shelves, poor organization, and barely helpful staff all make this a hard pass. Drive further for a better Home Depot, its worth your time.

I was picking out a screen door. Home depot called me after they did the measurements. I picked the door I wanted and had to pay 1/3 total cost of door and installation. They will call to make appointment to install when door comes in about 3 to 4 weeks.

Customer service was excellent the employees are very fan-friendly and assisted me with everything I needed I was very impressed because they were young people between the ages of 18 to 25 for a professional

The products were fine but service not so much. I ordered a fairly large order, about 20 bags of mulch, 20 bags of landscaping rock and 20 bags of paver sand along with a few other things. Last time I ordered online I did not get confirmation that it was ready so I went in and they got it. Not cool but oh well. So this time after I ordered I waited a day or so, went in and asked for the order. I had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for someone to put it together. I was also renting a truck to haul so that made it super complicated with timing and I ended up not being able to return the truck same day because of the delay.Fast forward to the next order. Another larger order, not quite as large as this time. This time I got an email confirming that it was ready for pick up. I went to pick I up, customer service said someone was coming. I was there super early in the am so they werent swamped. I waited about 20 minutes and was about to leave to return the truck that I rented again (since you only get 75 minutes before they charge you over the initial $20) but decided to go back to check. Someone in garden directed me to simply pull the product myself, which I was fine with doing though it should have been ready. Once I got back there I saw a cart with half of my order. Half. They said it was ready, but I guess ready is half. I pulled the rest and at least someone helped to load it for me.Not a good look Home Depot.

Just when I think its not possible for Catonsville Home Depot to be any worse they hit a new low. Went in to get half a dozen bags of mortar mix. Online showed 185 80lb bags in stock. Found half a pallet on the second shelf. Who puts 80lb bags on the second shelf? Every bag that I could reach was a solid block of concrete. Ask an employee who does not offer to make it accessible but he glances to the upper shelves and says, ,Does not look like we have any but you can ask at the pro desk with no waiting. Yeah right, do you hear yourself?

The service was slow and I guess the easiest answer when asking about an item is you can order it online. If thats the answer, Ill spend a little extra 💰 and shop at Lowes....

I love this store. I have been visiting here for over 16 years. For the most part the employees are friendly and very helpful. Some are even able to offer technical advice on projects. The customer service is great and the managers are hands on visible and available. I shop here often and hope to continue for some time.

Came there for help on some simple wood planks to fix a bed frame and a guy named Christopher Jackson in lumber and as amazing ! He helped me find the wood and even offered to cut it to the size I needed if I knew the measurements. He went a step beyond and even helped me take it out and load it ! He is the best associate I’ve had help me and will continue to shop here as long he is there. I even offered him a tip he said no and said helping me was enough and wished me luck on fixing the frame! 10/10 he needs a raise and or promotion he has way too much potential for the spot he is !!

Catonsville is fine but need to really train there new employees a little bit better thats all.

I frequent this location and have for years. Overall, its always been a very positive experience. Sometimes the online inventories (in app) are off....and this may or may not work in your favor.Customer service folks are usually really helpful, or just helpful....never unhelpful.Would go here over Lowes in Catonsville every time.

The service here is pretty lousy. On several occasions, ive asked staff for help with something and they acknowledge my request but then just disappear in the back. The inventory is poor compared to the Ellicott City location.

Used the curbside pick up for part of our online order. Easy to follow instructions, text/call from car & item was brought to vehicle within a few minutes! All customers & employees had masks on & disposable gloves were available at the entrance. Wipes were available also for cart handles at entrance.

They showed 8 in Stock and had nothing available. Terrible inventory management, wonderful customer service trying to help me.

I love the customer service of this store over the phone, but not in the actual store of this location. I came in to pickup something I ordered online. I went up to the customer service desk and there was a few girls there standing talking. I asked if they knew where the pickup was and they looked at me and didn’t say anything so I began to walk away. As soon as I started to walk away someone finally said something. I told her I needed to pick something up and she asked for my order number. I asked her to hold on one moment so I can pull it up. She got all annoyed and smirked in the direction of the other two girls like it was inconvenient to her that I needed to look at my email in order to pull up the order number. Took me about 1 min to pull it up. I was at the store on 02/18/21 around noon, and went to the entrance customer service desk. Very bad customer service. They need to fire some people. I work in retail service and would NEVER put anyone through that.

Not sure what is going on with this Home Depot store, but someone is not paying attention to the lumber area! Shelves are consistently empty of some of the sizes, and they always have pallets of stuff over head! Just not getting stocked fast enough I guess.

I went to get custom paint using a semi-gloss paint from Sherwin Williams. The person mixed a matte paint instead. They corrected it without a hitch.

I love coming to Home Depot. I like that I can look up what I need before I come, know what aisle and bay to go to (website) and self checkouts all in under 10 minutes. The specific item that I came for I have bought before so I knew where it was usually located, but they have changed things around recently. Once I put in the location that I was in on the Home Depot website, I knew where to go and the product was right where it said it was.

Everytime I come to this store (Rout 40) there is know one there to help find things. I was the first one at the paint department today and the paint guy said he’ll be there in a minute to color my paint. Instead he started helping another customer who just came in the isle. I asked another employee do they have anyone else in the paint department. He said “If you want your paint done correctly wait for him.” All he had to do is go help him with 2 customers. I spend at least $200.000 a year at Home Depot’s. And it’s the same at almost each one. And I’ve been to every Home Depot in Md. I’ve even called the Home Depot head quarters and the situations are still the same. I can go on & on complaining about different store but it will be a 100 page book by time I finish. As long as these stores are making billions a year y’all don’t care. Wish there was more competition such as Lowe’s or Ace.

Found what I needed and then some and quickly checked out. Not much more to say than that. I would suggest checking on their website to make sure they have it in stock and the location in the store where it is located before making the trip out to get what you want. 😎

Always easy to find what you need. We went there one day looking for landscaping lights and other lighting ideas. A sales associate saw us in her department and immediately asked us if we needed help. Not only did she help us find what we were looking for but we walked out with some new knowledge and new ideas on what to do.

I purchased a dryer from here and made a mistake on the model. I asked them to not leave it they promised it would be taken care. 4 lies later I am stuck with it.If you are not perfect dont shop here they will not help you.or let you speak to a dm

The manager Cece was on duty and was very diligent in her search for this product which they did not carry but it was her manner of listening which made my trip there worthwhile.Thanks Cece for being real.

This morning my wife had the pleasure to speak to Mr. Mike, after calling the store. Mr. Mike, answer the phone very very very pleasant and you could hear it in his voice that he was happy to help, that he enjoys his job and helping people. My wife asked Mr. Mike, did they sale computer phone jacks because shes home working from home and needed the jack. Mr. Mike, you can tell had a big bright smile and was happy to help said yes we do. After talking with Mr. Mike, he assured her that he would walk down the aisle where the computer phone jacks was and tell my wife what the store had. Mr. Mike, came back to the phone to tell my wife what was available then walked back to retrieve what my wife wanted and offer to hold it at the Customer Service Desk. Mr. Mike, offer all this great service and very happy to do more then his job requested him to do. When I got there there where several Home Depot Associate standing at Customer Service Help Desk, and the older lady sorry forgot her name with a big smile on her face happy to help me said Sir may I help you. I said I need that gentleman right there she said Mike, I said yes. She said Mike, thus gentleman wants you. I said Mr. Mike, first off thanks for helping me and my wife Im here to pick up the computer phone jack cord. Mr. Mike, with his big bright smile on his face said sure Sir, and retrieved the computer cable for me. I knew when I seen him that he was the gentleman my wife was talking with on the phone just by the way he carried himself out of all 6 Home Depot Associates that was standing around the Help Desk. Not to many people will go out there way when you call a retail store for help. My wife and I thank Mr. Mike, for his great services and because of this great man Ill be back to buy from Home Depot. Thanks Mr. Mike for putting a smile on My face and my wife face for your great services.

I stopped going to this Home Depot because of lack of service. Recently I was looking for something to clean the tub and shower and found the Scotch Brite shower tub scrubber. Lo and behold the only place that showed it in stock was here. The location was given, I went in purchases the item but they did not have the refills. A few days later I checked and they showed refills in stock. I rush to the store just to find none. On Monday they showed 9 in stock but none in the store. Today 9 are still showing in stock but none to be found. I go to customer service and showed in my phone where they are still showing 9 in stock. The nonchalant answer wss I guess we sold them all. Somebody needs to figure this out.

I went to Home Depot to get quart of green enamel paint, the customer service rep was very helpful she shown me where the paint was located. Nice size parking lot and clean.

Wasted 1 hr after paying for the sold out item. Continuouely asked to help loading my order. Cashier continuously called helper to load my order. But about 45 min later, they said that they could not locate my order and I have to cancel my payment. ------ no proper stock management. This kinds of experience happened multiple times.

I came in and ask the man where can I find drywall tape..He says he isnt sure check by tools.. Ok I go check by tools. Nothing.. I then go to the customer service desk and ask the 3 young ladies where I can find this. They all giggle and one says I Don know.. Then one says check by carpet (laugh again) so furious at this time.. First of all customer service is horrible! Your supposed to great people and know your store. If you cant work with people then go be a janitor and push a broom.. I then facetime my husband and tell him my frustration, then a customer actually told me where I could find it and showed me..Lastly, when checking out I asked the young man who was checking me out how his day was.. He totally ignored me then I said HI HOW ARE YOU! He said good and checked me out.. Very furious with the on going poor customer service..You have to do better!
