Ive been going to Cary Audiology for about 10 years. Three years ago, we moved 30 miles away, but it is well worth the trip to stay with CAA. Susan is very knowledgeable and is able to explain the highly technical topic of hearing loss in terms I can understand. Plus, although she doesnt have hearing loss, she seems to understand what its like.

My experience with Cary Audiology was was very professional. I explained my hearing problem to Dr. Rawls. She did a complete analysis, explained the results to me in a very clear manner, and recommended the hearing aids that would best assist me. She has followed up with periodic visits to check on my progress as I got used to my hearing aids and made adjustments to make them as effective and comfortable as possible.

Great provider and service. I definitely felt the staff went above and beyond, especially with regards to COVID safety. Dr. Larson is a great listener and does an excellent job explaining the test results. Michelle at the front desk was very cordial and helpful, as well. I would definitely recommend for anyone in need of help with their hearing. Added bonus, all new patient forms are fillable online, so no need to arrive 30 minutes early to fill out in the office.

My first visit with Dr. Lazaro was a real eye opener! She demonstrated what a real audiologist who is excited about her work can do to make my hearing 200% better!! She tweaked settings in my aids that my previous audiologist never mentioned and it has made such a difference in my hearing.

I felt like I might have some hearing loss so I made an appointment with Rachel Lazaro today. She is very personable and sets you at ease. I thought her exam was very thorough. Although after the testing, she found that I had only borderline hearing loss, she gave me some good tips for dealing with my issues. She spent a lot of time with me. I was very pleased with the entire process.

Ive been going to Cary Audiology for four years now and not once have the folks ever disappointed me. The staff is just excellent. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, will accommodate you if at all possible. Dr. Lazaro is fabulous. Funny, a perfectionist for her patients, and the depth of her knowledge is astounding. If you arent happy, she is definitely not happy. The quality of my life has dramatically improved since going to Cary Audiology. Sure, there are lots of places out there and friends will swear about somewhere they are going. But, if its not Cary Audiology, then youre not getting the best treatment possible.

5 star experience!! I was anxious about having hearing aids but the difference is so incredible I would never go back. The Oticon aids have truly be exceptional. They sync to my iPhone and I can adjust volume right from my phone without anyone being aware. Dr. Lazaro was a pleasure to work with and made me feel completely comfortable. Michelle, the office manager, is always kind and super efficient. I recommend Carey Audiology for anyone even remotely interested in better understanding how a hearing aid might enhance their quality of life.

Needed ear impressions made 4 in ear monitors & was referred to Cary Audiology by a friend. The staff was so friendly, helpful & efficient. It was the shortest & most enjoyable doctor visit I think I have ever had.

I highly recommend Cary Audiology Associates to anyone concerned about their hearing. They have been great. The hearing aid experience did not end with the fitting. The follow up appointments allowed Dr. Lazaro to adjustment my hearing aids according to my daily hearing patterns and experiences. Additionally, Dr. Lazaro enrolled me into online listening sessions to help re-learn some of the listening skills that I had been diminishing. I am now enjoying music and conversations that I had been missing out on. My only question is “Why didn’t I do this sooner?”

My one year follow up appointment at Cary Audiology was just as I anticipated....excellent. All Covid precautions were taken so I felt perfectly safe in the office. Dr. Rawls did more testing and adjusted my aids so my hearing became even better, she also corrected a poorly fitting ear clip that I tried to install but failed. I moved to the Raleigh area from Pennsylvania during the Summer of 2012. I was experiencing hearing loss prior to the move & began the process of trying various hearing devices. After a number of unsuccessful attempts to find the right audiologist, I finally met Dr. Rawls at Cary Audiology. She & her team(Dr. Lazaro- audiologist, & Michelle- office manager) are extremely professional & very personable. They have been very attentive to my needs & explain things in a way that makes them easy to understand. Cary Audiology is amazing! My father has severe hearing loss in both ears and has not been good about wearing a hearing aid over the years. When his hearing worsened, we couldnt communicate with him anymore and convinced him to give it another try. My sister is a physician and recommended Cary Audiology.When I called them to make an appointment, I actually spoke directly to the audiologist Dr. Lazaro. She was very patient as I explained my fathers issues and his challenges with hearing aids in the past. Our appointment was a few weeks later, and Dr. Lazaro was amazing. She was very thorough in getting my fathers history and testing his hearing. We were impressed with her professionalism and her obvious passion for what she does. She recommended a hearing aid and also set the proper expectations about what it would do to help (and what it couldnt do). That was very much appreciated.We went back a few weeks later for the fitting, and she spent an hour with my father adjusting the settings for the device, retesting his hearing with the device, and training me on how to communicate with my father more effectively (e.g. talk slowly, enunciate so he could read my lips, look at him directly). Both Dr. Lazaro and I spoke to my father, and for the first time in 9 months, he could actually hear what was being said. It was a great feeling!We went back a few weeks later for another followup, so that Dr. Lazaro could make some more adjustments to the device based on my dads real-world feedback. He explained that he still had issues with the telephone and TV. Dr. Lazaro had recommendations for both issues and was very helpful as usual. At the end of the visit, my father told Dr. Lazaro how she was the most thorough audiologist he had ever been to and how much he appreciated her help. That made all of us feel really good.Dr. Lazaro and Cary Audiology made a huge impact on my fathers quality of life. If you have a family member with similar issues, you should definitely give them a call.

Been a loyal patient of Dr. Rawls for 20 yrs. as we share lifes journey. Followed her when she opened her own practice and have put my trust in her expertise all the way to my recent active retirement. Have been fitted for several sets of inner ear aids over the yrs. as digital technology advanced. I worked for a global company doing corporate business deals and really struggled with soft international accents, besides balancing TV/Radio volumes with the wife on the home front. e.g.she can hear a mouse in the attic. Susan is now adjusting my latest set (as the brain does have an adjustment period). Started to utilize my mini-remote control more often in loud restaurants, concerts, and stadium sporting events so I dont get blasted. We are in the process of hooking up my TV-Dex for blue-tooth sound directly to the ears so I have separate / independent control for spousal harmony. No referral would be complete without giving a shout out to Michelle (Office Staff) who is wonderful to work with on scheduling, follow-up, and insurance claims. A visit to the office is like catching up with good friends who care and take customer service seriously.

We first used Cary Audiology when my Mother-in-law needed help with her hearing. Dr Rawls built a good rapport with her, and substantially helped her ability to communicate. The friendliness of the staff went a long way to making the visits less stressful.More recently Ive used Dr Rawls myself and find the care uniformly excellent. The practice is now more conveniently located just off Cary Parkway near Western Wake Hospital. Its always been easy to get appointments. Youre seen promptly and the audiologists and the staff are professional, friendly and helpful. The testing and diagnosis have been well done, and the hearing aids themselves explained thoroughly and patiently.I strongly recommend Cary Audiology for consistency, quality of care and overall excellence.

I am grateful for the professionals at Cary Audiology. My hearing has suffered for many years but I did not want hearing aids. I am too young for them and didnt want the flesh colored refrigerator boxes handing from my ears. Reluctantly I made the appointment but was more than surprised by treatment I received. I can hear things that I have been missing for years. They are so small people dont even know I am wearing them. My wife loves them and constantly reminds me of how wonderful they are.

Ive been a patient at Cary Audiology for several years now. I love their service because they make everything so convenient. Just this morning, I stopped in during their walk-in time between 11:00-12:00 and surrendered my hearing aids to be sent back to the manufacturer for an annual warranty tune up. I was willing to use my old hearing aids for the time without them, but after an assessment of their condition (in comparison the hearing aids I now use for my deficit), Cary Audiology entrusted me with a loaner set of the same Oticon Alta hearing aids, while mine are being serviced. So, while this is being done, Im able to use my bluetooth streamer, which enables me listen to phone, television and microphone, directly into the hearing aids. I wouldnt know I gave up my set of hearing aids because my quality of hearing goes uninterrupted while my set is back at the manufacturer. Very pleased with both my hearing aids and the fantastic service and attention given to me by Cary Audiology. I recommend them to one and all!!!! ~ Stephanie Amarante

I started seeing Dr. Rawls five or six years ago in the hopes that technology had reached the point of being able to restore some of my hearing loss; I continue to see her for my annual check ups. My first contact is with Michelle, who works the front desk and phone; shes very friendly and courteous--always upbeat and a joy to speak with. Dr. Rawls is a wonderful person--love her voice, its made for those of us with a hearing impairment. She was able to help me understand the type of help I would receive with my hearing aids--kept my expectations realistic while at the same time warn me of sounds that would be extremely irritating at first. When I moved from Cary to east of Wake Forest--an hours drive to get to her office, I never considered locating a new audiologist. I feel like Dr. Rawls has my best interests at heart. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing the services of an audiologist.

I visited several places before I settled on Cary Audiology, but I am very happy with my choice.The staff here is very friendly along with being up to date on all the latest technology. The office is a great location, modern and with nice coffee and chocolate :0).With expert help I settled on Phonak with a behind the ear model. Most people never notice my hearing aids because of the design and fit. But more importantly, my hearing is restored! I can work effectively on the phone, in meetings even hearing in crowed rooms. Before the hearing aids, all of these were a struggle for me.The Phonak I model I have also offers a Bluetooth option which really meets my needs for phone calls on my mobile phone and listening to music.If you are wondering if you need help with your hearing you can get the help you need here. Later, working as a CNA, I brought a client there for his hearing aid adjustment.
