I have bought many cars and my experience at Capital Ford exceeded all my expectations. I bought a Mustang Mach E after waiting 8 months for it to be delivered. During that time the price of the Mach E increased. Capital Ford honored my original quoted price and did not add any dealer costs although they could have. I have read some negative postings regarding Ford dealerships doing that very thing. Not Capital Ford! I didnt even need to ask! It was all handled honestly and equitably by them prior to my arrival to sign the final purchase. If you are looking to purchase a Ford, look no further. Drive to Carson City and know you will be treated fairly and honestly. Specifically Joe was a gem to work with. Jason in finance was also informational and very professional. Again, best experience purchasing a new car EVER!

From start to finish, my service experience wasn’t one I would ever want to have again. I scheduled an appointment a week in advance to address 2 issues with my car. When I arrived I was asked by the service advisor “are you here for an oil change?” When I answered no I was told “good, because we couldn’t do it today and you would have needed to reschedule.” (I drove almost an hour as they were the closest Ford dealer to me) that was the first red flag. The idea that they would have let me drive and hour just to tell me my appointment wouldn’t work is absurd, call your customers!!After waiting 3+ hours for a diagnosis, I declined the $1,200 repair and was told I would need to wait another 45 minutes to leave because the tech hadn’t closed my repair order, and left for lunch from 12-1. I requested to speak with the service manager since waiting 45 minutes for a tech to come close a declined repair order is ridiculous. The service manager indicated that nothing could be done and this was common practice. After explaining my frustration as both a Ford employee and customer, I was told they could simply return my keys and I could leave at once without paying for the diagnosis. It wasn’t a solution offered to me first, but only after I was getting visibly upset with the manager. Suddenly it wasn’t necessary to close the repair order and my vehicle was returned to me so I could leave. The only reason my experience got 2 stars instead of 1 is because the manager finally made things right and I could get out of that ridiculous place.I’ll be warning others to stay away from this service department and will drive twice the distance next time for a better customer experience.

The service center is set up well for customer access. The work was done in a timely manner with a detailed description of work done, costs and what other issues were found with estimates for each. Very good customer service and a nice lounge for people to wait in. I was impressed with my first experience at Capital Ford.

I’m more than happy that I decided to place my Bronco order with Capital Ford. Everyone was always very helpful during the process of ordering and waiting for my Bronco to be delivered. The excitement of the final delivery was awesome. The price that was agreed upon, was what I was charged and I couldn’t be happier. The Bronco is a great vehicle and went above my expectations, when seeing and driving it in real life.

Phil from parts was a lifesaver after our tire went flat. He was able to find us a tire in the size that we needed and kept me updated well through the whole process. Although the tire did not arrive when it was suppose to, a worker from Ford went out of their way to drive to Sparks and pick up our tire. The service department got us in the next day to get our new tire on. Everyone was so kind and friendly to us out-of-towners. Would recommend this Ford to anyone and everyone!

I visited Capital Ford for an issue best serviced by Ford rather than my local mechanic (only Ford has such a part) and for some recall issues.Capitals Service Managers are very decent, friendly and knowledgeable people (officially, I only dealt with one but unofficially I had interaction with three). While I actually never met any of the mechanics, I recognize and appreciate their work, as well.Capital identified the one issue I was concerned about and found one additional issue which needed servicing. Unfortunately, because of business closings in 2020, due to pandemic, locating parts was delayed. When parts came in, everything recall related was checked, adjusted and/or replaced as necessary.My other parts and services were performed well and I am back in service.For me, Customer Service is everything! People who practice courtesy, strive for excellence and stand behind their work.I would drive to Capital Ford from Reno again.

We expressed an interest in the 2021 Ford Explorer.Bill was pleasant, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable and there was no haggling of price and or sales pressure.The car we chose was not on site so it had to be shipped in.When our vehicle eventually arrived, we completed our transaction. Capital Ford has a very friendly, attentive staff, from the receptionist, to Curry in products to Jason who handled the financial paper work which was done thoroughly with no pressure. Brought my car in to fix the backup camera that has only worked on the day I bought the car 2 months ago. Was told it was under warranty when purchased. Naturally, the specific problem is NOT covered. Was given a quote of close to $1000. No thank you. Then charged $150 to get that quote. What a scam. Gave 1 star because the sales guy/service guy was very nice. Will never buy a Ford again.

Bought a used 76,000$ram truck from capital ford.Found out a couple weeks later that it was missing the owners manual, so i called saleslady and asked if they would provide one for me,her manager said no......very disappointed in this dealership. I knew what I wanted and had my own financing. They were the only dealership around that didnt try to sell me something I didnt want and were fine with my own financing. They also were the only ones that had a decent price for the truck I wanted. They made the process quick and easy for me. The whole team worked hard to make sure that we were satisfied especially Cory. At first I was a little bit confused because I started working with Val but when a conflict came up she made sure that someone else was brought in to help us. The sales staff just picked up where she was and continued as if we were his customer. When we got back to Cory I explained what we were looking for and this guy said hey have you ever thought about going this way? His idea was a better one then we had been thinking and now I couldn’t be happier. Bring your ideas in and let the staff pamper you.

I had a great experience working with the service personnel. I presented a list of items that I felt needed to be checked along with two letters of recall that pertained to my 2009 MKZ. The mechanics went to work.Yes, my car was in the shop for 3 1/2 day, but my car has a lot of electronics that needed to be checked. I knew that this takes a lot of time, and told the service manager to tell the mechanics to take their time. This is not a race.They did and I am very happy 😊with the job they accomplished. WELL DONE SERVICE CREW!!

Great buying experience, not pushy, handled everything just the way I like. Recommended, but not obligated, a good host of accessories and things I actually wanted. I bought a New F250 in Las Vegas and drove it home.On the drive out of the dealership, onto the smoother pavement of the freeway,I noticed a shimmy. Didnt know where the shimmy was coming from.I took the truck into Capitol Ford of Carson City, talked to Kent, he scheduled an appointment,which was in 9 days....Amazing ...the other Ford dealer in Reno was booked out a month.Dropped it off, they bled n2 from front and rear tires to the correct pressures, and found no other faults with the truck. I picked it up the next day. Not a wobble. Great job guys....now as far as the pull in bay....get a bigger one....the one you have is dangerous and small.....but my confidence is restored.

We have purchased many vehicles and dealt with allot of sales people. But we have never had a woman sales person which was great. Brittney was great. So were the other people that all helped us make this happen for me and my husband. The customer service was excellent! The whole team members that assisted us went above and beyond. The deal that we ended up signing, ended up being thrown out and a new deal replaced it. And what we were had told them we were wanting to pay, meaning our minimum and maximum, they went above nd beyond and got us a deal with a bank that made us a deal where we ended up paying a lower payment and annual interest rate. So in the end we came out way on top! Thank you Brittney, Josh, Cory, and David, for all your work, design in the vehicle to make it a one of a kind in all of Nevada! We love it and have big plans to make it even bigger and more crazy! Well give you an update of the finished project after we are all done with it. I have been trying to get my car fixed for a recall and it’s been over 6 months. My car is not fixed at all. The people there are nice but will never return your calls and making an appointment is a joke. Ive had 3 appointment in the past 6 months and they keep saying that they have the parts then I get there and no parts. I have to drive 45 minutes to get there and to find out my car can’t get fixed at all because there haven’t got the parts.

Went to Capital Ford today looking to buy a f-150 lariat. We stood there for 15 minutes and 2 salesmen looked at us... never acknowledged us never asked us if we needed help. We looked through the windows of the locked trucks, googled information... then left to Yerington and off to Falon to find people interested in helping us. We originally went to chevy and were treated poorly, so we wondered over to capital Ford and bill brown met us at the door with a fun attitude and had us relaxed and laughing immediately. He answered all our questions wasn’t pushing anything on us. It just so happened that my dream truck was in the used lot. Bill had us drive it it was awesome and priced right. So we went in and started paperwork, bill made sure we had something to drink before we sat down. He showed us what they bought the truck for and showed us they only made 600$ on the deal. We came pre approved but bill helped us get a better % and they didn’t shock our credit, they only sent to banks that would approve us. We were there less then 2 hours. Service on my truck was started on time and completed within an hour. Service Writer was good (and honest). This is the second time Ive had my truck serviced there, and its the second time Ive gotten home and found dirty/greasy hand prints all around the hood /front bumper area. Dont know if Ill be a return customer after this visit.

You get 1 start because 0 isnt an option! I have called a few different times now to get my 2017 Explorer in for the 3 recalls on it. No one has ever called me back. This isnt the first bad experience we have had with them. Called Corwin Ford in Reno for the same recalls and I was able to talk to someone the very first time I called and they got me in. Yes it is a few months out but at least I got the appointment.

I have purchased three consecutive new Ford F-150s form Capital Ford in the past 6 years and have to drive 30 minutes past my local dealer to shop with them. That pretty much says it all.The entire team at Capital have been a pleasure to deal with, from the sales team to finance officer (who has been a Capital for 35 years) and service. I dont plan on buying a new Ford anywhere else.The first sales person I purchased two trucks retired. My new sale person Theresa was a real pleasure to work with. My local dealer was trying to charge me for some extended warranty work & I got a second opinion and will probably continue taking the extra time to go to capital Ford as my van is performing just like new.My only complaint might be that needed parts were out of stock & created a delay of 1 day. Tomorrow never came I left 3 messages finally Friday I called twice and finally got someone’s home told me Edward was gone already and they were behind so I could pick up my truck and bring it back Monday if I wanted it fixed !! Called two months ago to set an appointment to get my car fixed with a recalled part. They gave me a date end of June that the part would be in and I could get it fixed. Called day before my appointment to make sure the part was in before bring my car, they hadn’t even ordered it. So that day the service lady puts in an order for the part and says it should be in by July 20th and books me an appointment for that day. I call the day before to make sure the part is in, THEY STILL HADNT ORDERED IT and said they’d get to it in a couple days. It’s been nearly a week now and I call again. They still didn’t order it. I’ve been given three dates now and my car is still not fixed and the part isn’t even ordered yet. I’ve been without a car for nearly 3 months and missed my grandmothers funeral because I couldn’t drive to it and had planned to have my car fixed by then. They are apparently the only ones that can order this part or else I’d seek help elsewhere. Horrible horrible service. And I’m still waiting to get my car fixed.EDIT: I reached out to Heidi after she left a comment under this review. She fixed the problem and was very professional and got my car into the shop very fast and got it fixed quickly. Even had someone take my car to and from the dealership. I am very pleased on how this situation was handled and very happy I reached out to her! Thank you guys so much for fixing the issue for me!

On top of it they dont understand or care why Im upset. It took me two years to get the appointment to begin with then they dont show. If I had another place to go I would.

I shopped for my Truck at 6 or 7 dealerships, and Capital Ford earned my business, despite not being local. Michael Freel was my sales guy, and he was very responsive to my needs and requests, answered all my questions, made me feel like I was making the right choice. I always hate the the part of buying a new vehicle when they try to sell you all the extras like dealer installed options, extended warranties and prepaid maintenance, and while they were all presented to me, they were also respectful of my choices without the high pressure techniques most dealerships use. I don’t have any experience with the service department yet, and hope I don’t until the first scheduled event, but they still took me out there and introduced me to the manager. Overall, I am very happy with my experience buying my truck from Capital Ford.

It took them more than 2 weeks to even look at my car. 3 weeks before I could pick it back up. What did they fix? They replaced a thermostat. Now, less than a week later the car is overheating again. 3 weeks in the shop, and they didnt even fix the problem.

Had to change my first review to update. Buying truck was a great experience. They bent over backwards to get me what I wanted great sales staff. First service was great. Then down hill from there. I made appointment on app. For oil change drove down only to find out that appointment didn’t go through on there end. What good is Ford Pass app then? Told should of called instead. Ask if could be slipped in since I came from Reno was told no they were booked for at least three weeks. This is second time I have had bad experience with service department. Last time guy acted like his was put out and to busy to help me. I was cutting into his lunch and Jimmy Johns was late bring him his sandwich. All this reminds me of Jones west Ford and why I wouldn’t do business with them. I guess I will need to go to Sac or Idaho for my Ford needs.

Capital Ford did the diagnostic and other services that I requested. Price was extremely fair as they certainly could have charged me double and I may not of known it. Im a Ford Girl and Val (sales person) took excellent care of us. We purchased the Explorer Platinum with no pressure. I knew what I wanted and I knew what price I wanted to pay. Sales and Customer Relations were excellent. Detailing has a lot of improvement to make. Not only did they miss a huge puncture in my BRAND new head rest, but they did a horrible job detailing my brand new car. So now I have to bring it back to get it fixed, and so far, no one has called to schedule! Thats a big deal given they missed the puncture in the detailing. We will see how they recover! My car was dropped off for one overnight to repair three safety recalls that had been scheduled for repair twice before, but there was always some excuse they couldnt find any reference to an appointment being made. When I was contacted again to bring it in, they asked if keeping it overnight was ok. Theres not enough space here to detail all of the grief I was put through, as my car sat there waiting for parts over a month. Staying up with the status of these recalls under my vin tells me to date no remedy is available. They declared my car unsafe to drive when I told them I would lose my job without some form of transportation. They refused me any rental. I lost a very good job because I had no car. After contacting the GM to see what he could do for me, suddenly one hour after my email to the GM, my car was all fixed and ready to be picked up. I questioned them about the validity of their claim. No one would give me a straight answer. I reluctantly picked up my car. If they did anything at all, they didnt replace the pass. side Takata airbag at all. The recalls still show no remedy available at Ford and the NHTSA. Their invoice is ridiculous. Ill have some answers soon, but in the meantime, they put a small ding in my front bumper and said zip, they lost my $40 key fob...no response, the mirror charm was custom made (ruined, $150), and filthy? I took photos of the horrific condition of the interior of my car when I got it back from them. I have camel interior. There is grease all over the center console (cant get it out), grease inside the door, on the ceiling, all over the inside of both doors, the visor. The windows have filthy hand prints all over them. They didnt give me the mfg. required owners manual page to amend the oil from dot 3 to dot 4. The service writer wont answer my emails. The parts dept. told Ford there was no record of a parts order under my vin. Suddenly, that afternoon, there was and the parts staff member was incompetent. They think they have gotten rid of me. The GM didnt care, I doubt the owner will. The NHTSA could care less, though they preach concern for consumer safety (dont believe it). My dad sold Chevys for 38 years. Every car that left that dealership was washed, vacuumed, upholstery & rugs shampooed. I am appalled at the condition of my car. Somebody is going to be held accountable for this mistreatment and lack of professionalism, as well as destruction of property. My advice? Go to Corwin Ford in Reno.

I walked across the street to Capital Ford and received the attention and care that every customer deserves. Workmanship is nearly always great. Advisors are helpful and competent. My one criticism goes to senior management. You spent a lot of money on sprucing up the dealership a few years ago and really no additional service capacity. It takes literally weeks to get in to them. This has been the case since at least 2010 when I started trading there. Shame on Capital Ford Management.

Everything was awesome until after I purchased the vehicle and I needed warranty work on my 2020 escape. The rear differential was having issues with binding and it was fairly obvious that was the issue. Once I actually got in they incisted it was an axle seal and replaced the half shaft. I had to call and figure out what was going on and they told me it was ready. So I drove the hour to the dealership and the issue wasnt even remotely fixed. And when I took the QC guy for a drive, he tried to tell me I was driving it wrong when I accelerated into my turns. When I started asking about lemon law the first answer is Nevada doesnt have one and they proceeded to change the fluid in my diff to fix it. When it starts again the saga will continue

It was a good experience. The price was good of the repair. Except ford motor company did not have the part in stock for a 2017 Ford F250. I think it took a month and a 1/2 to get the part. The service in the Carson City store was very good though.👍👍👍👍

The Service was awesome but the service Tech was very impatient and moody. He would not even giveMeThe chance to explain or show him the Ford Pass message. Mr Doyle was his name. I would recommend that you do not use him as you rep. After he saw I was upset and closing out the bill he went over and above to get me cashed out.

What an easy experience buying my new truck. I bought a lot of trucks and this by far was the easiest. Worked with Joe Atencio. I picked the truck I wanted left came back when called, the in dealership process was about 30-60 minutes. No sitting around waiting. The staff from Joe all the way to add on’s, financial to the sales manager made this the best experience I have ever had buying a new truck. Purchased a new f150, very happy with the quality of the vehicle! FMC offered a better financial rate than my bank. So Im happy!Took my F150 in for 20k service. Other than taking over a month to get an appointment, it was in and out in about an hour. Be nice if they washed them like they use too!
