Best sushi I’ve ever had from a grocery store. Most definitely better than most restaurants I go to. The rice is so fresh and the vegetables are always crunchy with vibrant colors. Who needs to go out and waste money on mediocre sushi when you can hit up Kroger during the week around noon and have top notch rolls? The best!

Waiting over 45 minutes for a scheduled 9:30am appointment for Covid-19 vaccine. As of this comment still waiting.Also sign clearly states pharmacy opens at 9:00am but when a gentleman approaches the desk he was informed they dont open till 10:00 am. Poor service

Re writing my review. Absolutely no communication between the office and the driver. If my bills are ready, you have my number. I was told I would get a phone call. Lady in the office rudely said my bills were ready 3 hours ago. This is not acceptable to me. Again you have my phone number. Will make sure I do not deliver here again.

Only one person in customer services who is taking care phone calls, money service and returns. I am waiting here since 35 mins for my turns.Bad customer services.

Store seemed like it was understaffed. Deli department only had 1 person working and there was no one working the grill area. Not set up with, no chicken tenders etc…The cashier was the worst that I have ever seen there. They normally have a couple of long term cashiers who were always friendly and fast however this person I have never seen before, extremely rude and very slow. Almost like they were begging to go on the unemployment line. I will shop there one more time as this must of been a fluke.

Average grocery store, over priced, but I like their selections I usually go to Winco for cheaper products but some things I get here.Needed to write a review though because one of the cashiers was not wearing a mask as required in store policy even if youre exempt. But also rudely told me they normally dont accept loose change. Even though just a few months ago they were complaining about a lack of coin shortage?? Also handed the lady in front of me change?Sorry if it takes a few brain cells to count $4.25 in quarters.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I had an amazing experience today @ 12:30pm! 1/2 of the ladies at the flower center was really nice. She greeted us (she had dark brown hair) and wasn’t staring at us like the other one. When we paid at self check-out the employee at that location was super nice & helped us out when things weren’t scanning and wasn’t rude about it. I’m glad I wasn’t followed around while shopping & employees giving me attitude just like when I go to the Kroger @ 1701 w university Dr., McKinney

Kroger sucks!! Stores used to appreciate their customers. You went in, purchased your items and because you shopped at their store, you got the sale price. Now comes clipping coupons. Not satisfied with this, now you have to have some app on your phone and scan some code to qualify for a sale. Im pretty well done with Kroger and anyone else who requires all the jumping thru hoops. You would think they would appreciate the people who shop there, but apparently no. Hello Winco and Aldi!!

March 2021 COVID info: masks are required, and the staff wears them properly. People refusing to wear masks are asked politely to wear a mask or leave.This is an excellent store, with friendly, helpful staff. Its well laid out, the aisles are wide enough to maintain distance between customers, which is good for those of us that need that space.At the self checkout, you can click on the No Hunger, No Waste to round up to the next dollar. Every seven dollars collected that way is used by Kroger for boxes of essential food for local food banks. I REALLY appreciate this program, as it has fed my family in the past, and now Im grateful to be able to give back

Grocery pick up is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I always receive items I denied in the substitution suggestions. I’m annoyed at having to return things I said no to to begin with every single time.

Keeps getting worse and worse. Understaffed, out of stock basic food, amd no carts unless you want to wonder the parking lot. At least its convenient.

Highly upset with the pick up. I shouldn’t have to give my PIN number to pick up groceries. They need a better system like having a machine to run the card. This is how fraud gets started 🤬. They had two ladies ask for my pin because they couldn’t get it right. Technology should be better. Back to Walmart I go

After purchasing 3 bottles of Teavana Craft Iced Tea Pineapple Berry Blue for my daughter she became very ill. When she pulled the last bottle out she noticed the expiration date of May 18, 2020. This location sold us 7 month old tea and has caused my daughter to become very sick during a pandemic. This is unacceptable. When I tried to call this store nobody answered, it just kept ringing. I am livid, this should never happen. These have been expired for SEVEN MONTHS.

Got here 12:48 and the doors were locked. Could see people inside shopping. Pretty sure OSHA requires these doors to be unlocked during business hours.

Gas pumps and gluten free food. Better off shopping here with a Kroger card than Walmart

Smaller than others but still get what you need. Produce section is a little smaller and I end up going to the one on Josey up by 121. Way better.

I like the fuel center a lot. The inside of the store has a weird smell. There is no easy access to hand sanitizer when entering the store or an easier way to clean the carts. I am not even sure if they are cleaned after customers use them? The self-checkout areas are not cleaned after each customer use which is pretty gross considering the pandemic is still a big concern. No issues with the pharmacy.

I like this store. The prices are decent and I can typically find coupons on the app to bring a lot of products in line with or cheaper than walmart prices from across the street. No issues with any department within the store or any qualms as far as quality or anything like that.That being said, the reason for the low review is that the smell when you walk into the store is incredible; and not in a good way. It seriously smells like something died in the entry area to the store and I dont understand how it hasnt been addressed. Ive tried holding my breath when I walk in, but with masks, the smell tends to get caught and linger and it is nearly unbearable. I would seriously recommend they check the air ducts to make sure something isnt rotting. Or maybe its behind one of the vending machines or rows of carts but whatever the case, it is putrid. I will still shop here in a pinch, but otherwise, I will go to the Walmart across the street for the time being.

I am done with shopping at this Kroger. They have gone downhill over the past few years and I reached my breaking point over the last few weeks with pickup orders. They have not automatically been substituting items that have obvious replacements unless I call and request it (like eggs and lunch meat). They have been making substitutions without asking if I approve them. Finally, last week, the pickup time took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get my groceries. (In contrast, I went to another local grocery today and the order was already outside as I pulled up.) I will no longer be shopping at this Kroger.

Nice store. Some krogers are old and dont have many depts but this location seemed to have everything. Also has a Starbucks inside. I would go again. Cashier was super friendly.

False Advertisement, Rude Clerks and More Rude Management. I made a special trip here for Baby Formula, because they had the formula marked very clearly as $29.xx. When I told the clerk I needed formula, she acted like it was a daunting task. When it rang up at $39.99, I took her back to the formula case and showed her the price it was advertised at. She said that the price was for the smaller packages, which were on the other end of the shelf. I asked for the manager, and the manager came over with attitude, and told me the price was wrong. I asked her if they would honor the price it was advertised at, and she said very rudely No, we dont discount formula, and turned around and walked off. I have a family of 6, and typically spend around $500/week on groceries and gas. I will never shop here again, and will recommend everyone I know not shop there.

I have been going to this store for about 18 years and my experience today with the person that claims he is the store manager . I believe he said his name was Junior. I entered the store without a mask and didn’t realize it until he literally yelled at me for 20 feet away,you have to put on a mask. He approached me in a very threatening manner and continued yelling at me . I asked him several times to stop yelling and I’m headed to the service counter to get a mask.he kept trying to get the other employee to say “I’m not yelling an I”.I am trying now to reach someone in their corporate office. He represents this place and they should know this I received names and phone numbers from 2 customers in the parking lot and claimed they were filing complaints as well.

The manager at this store is Outstanding!It shows in the people working there.Store is clean and clean. Shelves are full with not just Kroger brands yet a large variety of brands.The Bakery Department is very good. The muffins are excellent.The meat is excellent! The meat department keeps the entire area clean. Meat is FRESH! Very good seafood choices too. Have Sushi. Honest I dont eat it yet they make it on the spot and in front you.B the h

Ordered cake, first time in years, Pat in Bakery gave me excellent customer service! The cake was great. Also, the store was fully staffed. There were plenty of staff to assist with answering questions. Store was clean and fully stocked. This was on a Sunday at 1:30 pm CST.

Why give a grocery store 5 stars? Great question. This is easily the friendliest group of employees at a grocery store Ive ever seen. They have a great selection, beer selection is even better, and this place is always clean. Every single time I go in the store at least one employee asks me how Im doing and offers to help. Ive rarely been loyal to a grocery store, but Ill only go here. Except on Saturday mornings, the place is a madhouse.

Why every time I have to check my receipt. They advertised specials. I use my Kroger card and still have to wait in line during Coron19 to get them to correct my receipt for thing they advertise. GET IT TOGETHER.

Dont do a pick up order here they give you a time window but dont follow it i showed up at 7:10 and they didnt give me my order till 8:10. I called to ask where my order is and they hung up on me. Whats the point of pickup if you cant honor time slots.

Krogers in carrollton and Lewisville become good for nothing.nobody answers correctly if you have a question.greediness cut the staff.most of the time is self check out only, which is such a waste of time.Im switching to walmart,where you can get comparatively better help.the staff came with me to show the items if I have questions.zero stars.

A smile and active listening can always go a long way when dealing with customers. The lady at the bakery dept did not have any of these aptitudes to help me out when I came in to order cakes for my child. I am usually patient and does not get upset quickly, but this staff sure did make me lose my temper that I had to ask for another person to complete my order.

If you go to Kroger, get ready to be asked to DONATE multiple times. I just want groceries, not buy a box of food for 4x its price and donate it, or donate $1 or $2 to a random place I dont know anything about. You will not get a tax write off and you dont know how much actually goes to the charity, or what they use it for. Im already bagging my own groceries, and they make the people that are there to help to ask for donations while you are checking out. That is not their job.

This store has great workers here always helpful when I need assistance. I see a lot of customers be rude to the staff here which Is just sickening. I’m a customer who goes there all the time and see cashiers having to deal with people stubbornness. They arent in charge of the prices or limits or the rules they are there to scan your stuff and give you your receipt. I’m glad some of the cashiers I saw will stand up and not put up with the customers who have attitude. If you are rude to them they have all the right to be rude back they are human beings. You don’t know what these workers go through. They have to deal with customers leaving stuff behind where it does not belong give it to the person scanning your stuff so they can put it away. Manager should put up a sign at each register saying treat other how you want to be treated, if your rude to my staff they will be rude back.this store is always clean. Very helpful

In the past 7 months, I’ve gotten expired food from the shelves at least 3 times. I made it home with these expired goods twice. I purchased two single serve containers of Horizon organic milk. Got home, they were expired. Another time, I grabbed a 6-pack of the small bottles of Fairlife milk. They were also expired. Last night (1/31) I purchased two packs of Applegate uncured hot dogs. Got home, both were expired since January 8th. I understand mistakes happen but they need to be more thorough. I don’t trust the quality of items at this location. I’ll be going elsewhere.

Went to pick up a prescription and it was ready on time. They were pleasant and helpful. The pharmacist went over the medication and she was very informative. Did some grocery shopping afterward. The cashier looked tired but was friendly and observant. He caught that my cauliflower rang up as $10.43, voided it and corrected the price. It was a pleasant errand trip.

Had a great experience with the bakery! They did a smash cake and a regular cake for my daughters birthday. Everything looked and tasted great!

Kroger is my favorite store for all my shopping and Pharmacy is fantastic. I get their coupons regularly and Ive been shopping at Kroger for 20 years. Love my Kroger Pharmacy and love shopping Kroger!

I really like the Kroger thats 2 to 3 miles from me. But the one I go to sometimes doesnt carry what Im looking for so I go to Winco or someplace else to find it. Sometimes another Kroger farther from me will have it. Love the points system!

Prices are a bit higher compared to the Kroger I normally go to over by castle hills, but decent enough place for strictly groceries. Although just found out they will be ending the senior citizen discount which my mother is not too happy about. Every cent helps and was one of the reasons she and I have been loyal customers for many years now, is they usually have decent discounts and prices. If it wasnt for the fuel point system they have, with that notice we would probably start looking for somewhere else to shop.

The customer service at this store is terrible. There are always problems and employees that cannot problem solve and are not friendly. I will go out of my way to shop at a different store.

I am honestly so sick of buying half melted and then refrozen pints of halo top ice cream. That is the single reason why I give this location 1 star. Their shelf stockers need to be told to put the halo top up first. Because it’s a “light” ice cream, it has different consistency than real ice cream and is not as creamy once melted and refrozen. It’s like eating powdered ice, and especially disappointing when you open the lid and find it melted down so much that it only occupies half of the container.Edit: ice cream aisle has been out of several brands of ice cream for several days... maybe even a week. Almost all parking lot lights are burned out. Please do better, Kroger.

This store has gone downhill recently. Dont even bother going here on a Sunday afternoon--the store is decimated, especially the produce section. For example, we wanted to get fresh ginger, whole crimini mushrooms, and asparagus for a recipe, and none of them were in stock. We now drive the extra 15 minutes to go to the one on 121 and Josey, which is always better stocked. Hopefully they will pull it together soon, but until then I will continue to travel for my weekly trips.

Smelliest mens restroom I have ever been in. Always this way for years. Might be a plumbing issue but makes me wonder about cleaning in the whole store.

If it werent for the fuel points, I would never step foot in this store again. Every single time I go in, they are out of at least one thing Im after. Seriously, I cant remember the last time I was in there and found Kroger half &half in a pint bottle. Its always gone. I went in one Thursday evening at around 5pm, to pick up steaks for dinner. They had NO steaks. I asked the guy at the meat counter, who seemed very put out that I was asking for help, and he went in the back for a few minutes, then came back out and told me they had no steaks. REALLY?!?!? What self-respecting grocery store has NO STEAKS?!?!?!? I stopped at the customer service desk and mentioned this to the manager, and she said, Oh my....that doesnt sound right! But she made no move to contact anyone or make it right, so I left. Now I drive the extra 15 minutes to the Kroger Marketplace on 121.

They have one of the largest wine selections in a grocery store that Ive ever seen. This store is quite busy but they have a wide selection of items to choose from.

I feel like the staff here is better than most Krogers. Everyone says hello making it welcoming and easier to ask for help if needed. I bet the managers here are rock stars.

My review is for the Starbucks in the store. GAB you are the best barista I’ve ever had! I ordered my drink and she said wait we have this other drink that more espresso like your wanting and we can put whatever sweetener in it you want and it’s two dollars cheaper. She is amazing and truly cares about her customers. I will forever go to this Starbucks and get my coffees from Gab!

Store closes at 1AM per their business hours, walked in there at 12:50 just to get a single item and store was closed. That says a lot about their management.

DONT RISK YOUR FAMILYS HEALTH! I bought tilapia fillets here a couple weeks ago. They made my whole family sick! I thought it was a fluke. When I went to buy more yesterday, I mentioned it to the guy at the counter. He insisted on not charging me. Today, when I went to make it, it too was obviously no good! I called & spoke to a manager whos reaction was ,nobody else has complained I dont know how much has been sold I dont know what you want me yo do and the worst one, you got that one for free. It may have been free but it was still bad, I still had to do something else for dinner which cost me money, & I still paid for the first batch that was bad! I shouldve sent him my familys medical bills the first time! I will never go back yo this Kroger & nobody else should either! Go to the Kroger in Flower Mound on Cross Timbers & Long Prairie instead! They have the freshest fish & they guarantee it.

They had a great reopening sale going on. What would have cost me over $40, cost me $22 after using my Kroger card. Great deal, right!!!

I continuously receive excellent customer service from every employee at Castle Hills Kroger. The employees are helpful, friendly, and very well trained. Also, there are always plenty of employees around the store, so Im never left searching for someone for help. They always have great sales, they have a large selection of natural and organic foods, and you cant beat the gas points! I havent purchased full-price gas in months! Compared to the alternative in the area (Walmart), Kroger is hands down the best grocery store in The Colony. I will continue to shop here.

I dont like the fact that when Ive called numerous times to the bakery department, noone ever answers the phone...Im on hold for long periods of time or get hung up on which is very rude, especially when you are directed back to the customer service desk and they arent much help either. They have decent gas prices which is the only reason they received any stars!!!

Its a shame they dont want customers in the store anymore.Used to be a great store. Worse now every time I go there. No longer carry a lot of products, poor layout, got rid of half their cashiers and replaced them with more self checkout machines that are even worse than the old self-checks, which is not easy.

I liked the store but was unable to purchase 2 items on my list. One was out of stock. The other was a bread item (Kroger sandwich thins) and ALL of the stock appeared to be old. The freshness date was un-translatable but ended in 17. Anyway, I took a couple of packages to Customer Service that actually had mold on them, which the clerk took very seriously. How unfortunate that someone wasnt doing their job! Unacceptable!

I like this grocery store. I do hate that this is not a checkout line open after a certain hour at night. I shop in the evening after work and the kids have gone to sleep. I understand the self-checkout is suppose to be faster, but man i hate checking out on one of those with produce.

Everything was great except for in the deli at the chicken co. I ordered chicken from the gentleman behind the counter and he was helpful. When I asked if I should pay here or at checkout, he asked a lady who very rudely in a loud voice said Im waiting on customers you have to wait! The customer she was waiting on laughed and said you can pay at checkout. Ill never go back to that chicken place. But the rest of the visit went well. Very rude employee that should not be customer facing. This is why I give it 2 stars.
