Tom thumb usually has the best selection of fruits and vegetables of any grocery store in the Carrollton area. I really like being able to depend on their product. They only have one product that we need that they dont carry and I run elsewhere for that one but usually I can get everything I need here at Tom thumb. The staff is very courteous and helps find things and helps with checkout.

Ordered a simple white cake to have blue frosting trim with Liam written on the top of the cake to mark my sons first birthday. I also asked for the sprinkles on top. When my husband gets there to pick up the cake this is what we are given. A plain cake sprinkles on the side and no name. He was told that the lady there couldn’t write a four letter name on this cake as she wasn’t the decorator. Normally I wouldn’t be so upset, but this cake is really all we could do to mark is birthday and they couldn’t even write Liam on it before they left?? I know it’s a silly thing to be heartbroken over but I am. The frosting even has a hole in it like the cake was messed with. I’m so disappointed 😔

This place has fully stock shelves comparing with unnamef stores. All of my favorite items were were always in stock on the shelves.

Clean store with friendly employees. They carry a good selection of grain free items like brownie mix, muffin mix, Pancake mix, tortillas, etc. They have a few dairy free items like ice cream and milk. And Ive found a good selection of gluten free cookies.

The store is alright, but it doesn’t sit with me well when I see a young customer get cat called by a STAFF worker. Do better.

It was great. We actually went to Kroger first and they were supposed to be open but they werent. We waited about 5 minutes and left for tom thumb. No problems there and we didnt have to check ourselves out. We will be going more often.

I have been in this Tom Thumb no see no one want to answers the questions no one want to help I brought the bag for food the lady said you have to bag your own food they not even put to food and the sack for you I had the bunion surgery I have to stand there and put groceries for my self terrible service.I like Kroger better or market street or sprouts never want to shop here again also thing here it expensive

Always pleasant and helpful. Have some health issued and they put heavy items in separate bags. It helps.

Dept. Leader/Mgr Robert is my go-to person for ANYTHING! He offers exceptional customer service, always canvassing customers in aisles to see if they need anything. We need more like him!

I went to buy a floral arrangement. I asked could she tie a bow on the vase. She said she’ll have to charge two dollars more. Okay, do you have yellow? She said “no.” Okay, what colors do you have? She holds up a ribbon. “this is the only thing I have closest to what you have.”(?? I had white roses? What doesn’t go with white?) I said I’ll take it. She was making arrangements so I’m sure she had more than one color.when I’m giving the gift to a friend I noticed two Stalks where the roses would be looked evenly cut off.Kroger will wrap a bow or put paper around flowers For free. I’ve never been charged and their cheaper.Unfortunately, I’ve had to return expired meat twice.

Worst experience with their bakery. I have never ordered a cake from there before and never will. Only reason I got stuck with them was because Albertsons baker quit and my order was transferred to this store. Ashley from the bakery called me stating she had received my cake order from Albertsons on a Wednesday, keep in mind my event was that Saturday. My theme was Llamas and she mentioned that she was unsure if she could find Llamas for my cake. She said she would call me the next day by noon to let me know if she had found some which of course she failed to do, so I had to call her. Once on the phone she said she did find some so I felt some relief. Saturday came around and it was time to pick up the cake (which was a 3 tier cake) well guess what? The cake was falling apart. The top tier was lopsided and the middle tier was slanted as well. I asked to speak to a manger, who had the guts to ask what was wrong with the cake, apparently he was blind since it was obvious that the cake was all messed up. His only solution was to give me a $20 discount. Oh and the worst part was that the cake was made on Friday since Ashley was off on Saturday. All I wanted was a descent cake to celebrate my daughters first birthday and all I received was an anxiety attack from this bakery.

Letting people come in with non-service animals or emotional support animals is starting to make me concerned. As someone with a service animal it concerns me to see no one stopping people who are bringing in animals in purses or carrying them and they are not wearing anything that says they are a working animal. One store told me that one gentleman comes in all the time with his dog and it is not a service dog and they wont do anything to stop him. Better training for your staff to recognize a non service dog or emotional support dog would be a good idea

I have never written a review before. But I am so frustrated with this Tom Thumb!! Why isn’t Customer Service trained to treat customers with respect?? I needed to get my inspection sticker. I didn’t have the letter, but the official web site stated I could use my VIN and license plate numbers instead. Got it. I’m trying to point this out to the CS Rep, and she wouldn’t even let me talk!! She spoke over me the ENTIRE time. So rude!! And why are there only 2 employees when one is trapped with a customer barking about saving .50 cents and the other isn’t empowered to make decisions??✏️ Customer Service 101:1. Let the customer actually speak their need.2. Call up more employees when the line is long.3. Make it your actual goal to kindly SOLVE the customer’s issue instead of hoping they’ll get so frustrated they leave.

While other grocery chains have gotten their shelves back to normal, they have not. In addition they are not being consistent in extending their monopoly rewards after the expiration date.Their sale prices are competitive. Their store staff is friendly and helpful.

I am handicapped and the staff is always courteous and helpful. I will never stop at any other store than Tom Thumb.

Expensive. Poor quality produce. Limited product selection. How do they not carry oven cleaner?! Pick Kroger all say long.

This has been my go to store since moving to Carrollton so during the pandemic I didn’t think they’d let me down. But one I got their chicken on sale and it made us sick. The worst part of all this, that while shopping they let people without a mask shop around. I had to leave. It’s very disappointing for the people that are high risk and or even just the general public.

This is an update in why I have given Tom Thumb a five star rating. The last few trips to this particular store on Josey Lane in Carrollton, I found out about true customer service among major grocers within our area. I use to be a big fan of Krogers until within the last few months. Tanisha, along with her other coworkers there at Tom Thumb have shown nothing but true professionalism, true customer service and pride on doing the job right. Their communication is spot on and are concerned on getting the order completed correctly. They DO make sure that if an issue arises, they are quick to make things right. The prices may be a bit more but, if you want quality and be treated like family then this place is for you. Thank you to Tanisha and her coworkers for being the best people to shop with. Jeremy in the meat dept was so helpful! I was looking for a specific item they didnt have on hand. He took my name and number to give to their manager so he could order me the item I wanted. I dont know of any grocery stores that will do that for a customer. I appreciate good customer service like that!

I have shopped this location through many years, but not often any more. It is still convenient for grocery items. I needed last minute items on Christmas day and they were open until 4 p.m. that day. I got what I needed and got a Norfolk pine plant for half off. I always forget my customer card but they find it through my phone number

DO NOT order a cake from here. Horrible customer service, horrible management staff and a strong lack of efficiency. I provided an image to the bakery manager Ashley of the cake I wanted. The cake was not ready on time so I went ahead to the party and sent my husband to pick up the cake. I soon realized that this looks nothing like the image I ordered. To make matters worse, pick up time was 3pm, while pulling in the parking lot of Tom Thumb I received a call from the bakery to clarify my order at 3:10pm. I inquired why was the cake not ready on time and I wanted the cake just like the image I provided. My husband went back to pick up the cake since the birthday party was starting. Once it arrived I soon realized that this was not what I ordered. I began calling the store everyday to speak to Ashley, I spoke with several bakery employees and even the Assistant Manager who told me, Ashley is the only person who could assist me and she (Ashley) has been calling in to work. I finally went to the store to speak with Ashley face to face. She initially stated this is the cake you ordered, I have been at work everyday. I then explained that this is not what I was told over the phone and also showed her the 2 images (cake I ordered and the cake that was provided to me). She still attempted to lie and state this is the cake I ordered. She finally came to her senses that the staff messed up. She then stated where is the cake, you shouldnt have eaten it and I would refund you. I soon made her realize how absurd she sounded to even suggest that. As this was for a kid party. The assistant store manager Clarence Ennis came over and he stated you should have just come in to speak with a store manager instead of waiting on Ashley. As I explained, at this point we cant play the should have game. The facts are still the same, this is not what I ordered and I have proof of contacting this store daily to resolve this issue with the person I placed the order with. Clarence then stated since you work law enforcement you should know to get to the scene as quickly as possible or all your evidence will be gone if you wait. How can you compare a crime scene with a cake order, Im not exactly sure. That suggestion clearly states how incompetent and illogical this management team is. A horrible representation for the Tom Thumb brand. At this time, I am waiting for the store manager Adam to contact me. According to corporate I should have received a call on yesterday. Will update once this issue is resolved. All in all, do not order a cake at this bakery and if there are any issues be prepared to speak to someone with little to no understanding and intellect.

I was waiting in line at register #6 for an elderly lady ahead of me to check out with coupons and it seemed the cashier was having trouble completing the transaction.The cashier asked for help from Rita, one of the team leads who exhibited very rude behavior towards the cashier and customer. She didn’t even give the cashier a chance to explain the difficulty, Rita proceeded to push the customer’s groceries away and loudly said ‘send her to customer service’. Treat your co-workers and customers (especially seniors) as you would like to be treated,

This Tom Thumb location is sub-par with others in the area. The store is littered with out of date products, and the staff at large seem either under-trained or apathetic. I drive past this store to others unless absolutely necessary.

This was always one of my favorite stores. Now more so, since it has been remodeled. The store is super clean , nice wide aisles, a great deli and bakery dept, seafood and meat nicely displayed.

Better than the other good store whose name I wont mention. Higher quality food and more options.

Kudos to Justin in the pharmacy. He is always so polite and patient. Dorothy is a checker and she makes my day with her friendly smile and helpful attitude. Unfortunately, Amber at the customer service counter has been there for years and continues to be unfriendly and downright rude to customers. I do not understand why they keep her.

Tom Thumb is always clean and the food selection is great. Veggies and fruit always seem to be very fresh. Im loving the home delivery options too. They have self-check out lanes which is great for quick trips. Staff is friendly and you can usually find someone to help you pretty easily.
