I gave the place three stars because of the customer services. The staff are friendly. But the shaved ice and the so-boong was not worth it.The shaved ice was extremely plain and we couldnt even taste the matcha at all, except for the matcha ice cream scoop on the side. The so-boong for me, personally, was okay, I would rate it a 4/10. The ice cream was too sweet for me.

The place is really small but cute! I personally prefer more sweet pastries and the walnut pastries are not as sweet as I thought as it would be, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. The pastry is warmed and basically consists of a red bean filling with a walnut on the inside

Christian Based Small Boutique Shop - Run by a Korean Lady. Its a nice place and theyve recently updated their menu after opening few years. They have steady good number of customers - Their favorite food is Cocohodo, which is a Korean desert. Price is often between $20 - $30 for the big Cocohodo. The ice cream is severed with Cocohodo and they are excellent place for take-out or eat-in. Many young people enjoy this place.Visit and you will know :)

Really kewl Tea spot in Korea town . Mozart bakery is also really good. If you want a nice , simple , fun, Asian tea experience with a little touch of Christianity then place is really good venue to socialize with a few friends or just pop in for a quick tea. I got their hit pomegranate tea with their walnut pastry cakes - both were phenomenal. Hope you have a good experience here too !

Great coffee... and yummy walnut pastry snacks... I ordered in advance by phone since this place has a bad parking situation for a quick stop over on a Saturday afternoon, but this is my 2nd time I got cheated with 1 less piece in a 10 piece snack bag I ordered. Very much irritated.I had to leave a 1 star review today, seems like this is something that is done on purpose, not a mistake. 😤

Got the ice cream with the fish looking cone and it was amazing. Got the vanilla ice cream, oreo topping and Nutella inside, green tea ice cream with graham crackers and Nutella inside. The ice cream wasnt overly sweet but just right for both adults and kids. The star was the fish looking cone. Perfectly crisp on the outside and chewy in the inside. Must try and will definitely visit in the future.

Have been coming here for over a year since I moved to the DFW area. One time early on the owner asked me to bus a table for her because she was slammed. Mind you that I was ordering take out so it wasn’t even that I would be bussing my own table. I’m not sure why she thought that would be okay, but sometimes Korean elders do that to people they think are much younger. The service has been great from the other workers at the register, but the owner has been consistently rude. Today was the last straw, because she accused me of trying to steal her recipes. I literally have brought my friends here twice in the past week because I liked their fruit ribbon ice bingsoo. She pointed out that I ordered the same thing both times so that I must be trying to take notes on her recipes as her business is so successful. I stated that no, I’m just a fan. She then stated that others have stolen her recipes before and that it’s not out of the question that I could be here to do that. Needless to say, my friends and I left soon after.TL;DR - if you don’t speak Korean, their bingsoo is pretty good. If you do speak Korean, don’t come twice in a row and order the same thing or the owner will accuse you of trying to steal her recipes. I’ll def be going to somi somi and snow city from now on.

I love this place. The lady at the front, who I am assuming is the owner, is just so sweet. I mentioned I love red bean and she had me try their walnut pastry, which is incredible by the way. Their butterfly teas and fish cookie ice creams are so good! This was my second time there and I am in love. My old favorite Korean dessert place has since shut down so Im excited to find a new place

Theyre still okay the next day, but I prefer to gobble them up when theyre fresh and warm.Husbands mango yogurt smoothie was tasty though way too sweet for me.

This place was absolutely cute! The staff was friendly and informative. I had to the So. Boong which is a fish shaped pastry filled with your choice of filling (red bean, custard, etc) and topped with soft serve ice cream and two toppings of your choice. This combined by two favorite things in one dessert and this shop does it great. As well as the walnut pastries. Both were amazing and I would definitely recommend trying it at least once.

Pretty decent & small Pastry cafe that serves iced coffees, hot drinks, shaved ice and other pastries. We went there especially to try the soboong icecream which has a fish-like base and icecream on the top. The filling, icecream flavor & the toppings can be customized( Max of 2 toppings). We tried with Nutella filling and Taro icecream with marshmallow & chocolate drizzle topping . The icecream was good not too sugary but the taro flavor was Little less. The fish-like base was not so fresh and tasted ok. The serving time took longer than expected and waited almost 10 mins to get the icecream. The ambience was nice and had some music playing which was good. Definitely recommend this place if you want to have an unique experience of ice-cream

Definitely lacks in flavor and quality (especially compared to SomiSomi) The matcha is basically vanilla with a touch of matcha. Its not bad - but def could be better. The almond redbean cookies are also okay. Not the flavor/texture profile of what I had in Korea. Maybe it would be better if I tried it fresh and not later in the evening.

Though the dessert itself was a bit pricier than expected, I really enjoyed the overall flavors of it. Place is cute and clean, decent sized menu. I didn’t see any of the treats marked vegan but I may have missed them if they were on there. I got a basic fishy with vanilla and Nutella. It was heavenly tasting, but be prepared to eat quickly or you’ll get messy because they only put a little wrapper around it and it melts quick. The placed did fill up quickly, so you might not find a place to sit depending on when you visit.

9/21/2018 My mom and I went to get Bingsoo. We ordered one original Bingsoo, and I particularly enjoyed the red bean layer. We found out that the store makes the red bean paste from scratch and grind walnuts before sprinkling them on the Bingsoo. I was also asked to try bean paste made from other recipes, which I appreciated a lot, because their paste is healthier than canned paste that you can find at grocery stores.

Ive loved this place until my experience today. I bought a medium bag of walnut pastry but they were not the same as I remembered. They were all slightly burnt (which i could taste) with bean paste spilling out and wer e in deformed shapes. Worst of all, they were COLD. They used to be golden brown with a nice proportion of bean paste and beautifully round and HOT, fresh out of the oven. I am very disappointed with this new pastry since I came here often for a quick snack. :( And its sad to know that I gave out these as presents for a few people without knowing the change in the pastry.
