We brought our car in for 2 new tires and an alignment. For a company specializing in tires, you’d think it would’ve been pretty routine. We got the car back making a horrible noise I’d never heard before. Brought it back to them and they said they put the wrong lug nuts back on, so “all the extra space” allowing the tired to wiggle around was creating the noise. We’re lucky it didn’t cause a serious crash! The noise got better, but it wasn’t completely gone. We brought it back again and were told it couldn’t be their fault - it’s just a coincidence that the car started making these noises after getting it back from them. They also said the noise from the back end was from the emergency brakes - my car doesn’t have its emergency brakes anymore. When I told them this, the mechanic never called me back. I can’t afford to bring the car somewhere else after paying them over $700 to ruin my car and tell me I’m SOL. It’s horrible that corporations can get away with doing these things to their customers and take no responsibility. I don’t know about other Firestone locations, but I definitely wouldn’t take your chances with this one.

Used as part of Tire Rack purchase. Good, prompt installation. Only one mechanic, so may be limited.

Had an appointment and sat there for an hour before they told me my truck was too big to go on their rack. That was a total waste of my time. Funny thing was, they took a 2500 off the rack before me and were going to put another on.

I brought in my car because my brakes were making a noise. They claimed to look at and test them seeing no issues. I was assured they would be okay. Later on, the brakes went out while driving and a metal piece fell out of the car. This was a very dangerous scenario and will now be an extremely expensive fix. Unreliable.

I’m really picky about who takes care of my Corvette. I’m highly impressed and satisfied with Firestone of Carol Stream. I have at least 2 locations closer to me, but it’s worth the 30 minute drive for the sincere care taken by Shop Manager Steve, and the precision of Super Technician Randy. It seams it’s not about the dollars to these guys, they genuinely take pride in doing the job correctly and in a timely manner.

Horrible experience. Such a rip off and rude management. Bought 4 brand new tires and one went flat the next day with no puncture. Brought the tire back to Firestone and they said they’d fix it. Came back when it was fixed and they charged me another $25 to fix the tire although they couldn’t even tell me what they fixed on the tire. Management was rude and incompetent. Please go anywhere else.

Dont come here if you want to get charge $84 for a simple oil & filter change. I wanted to give this place a try since i live close here. I tend to get charge half the price at other places for my car. wont be coming back

I had the worst experience at this firestone. Went there to get a quote on some shocks and was quoted $2,000+. Looked up what shocks I needed and bought for $60 and had another place put them on for $100. Would not recommend going here if you want you car to last! Also went here for an oil change before that and they claimed my battery was dead. This was 6 months ago and my battery is still great! Would never recommend anyone going there.

They seem to treat everyone respectfully and work with full transparency, consulting with you to find the best options at each price point. It’s no wonder I always see a lot of business there. I always leave feeling I’ve been treated fairly, charged fairly, with high quality service. This is my 3rd good experience; this time I worked with Jose. Thanks man!

These mechanics severely botched an inspection of the car that ultimately led to the car having to be replaced.I brought my car into Firestone with a probable oil leak. The car had a few drops of dark brown oil in the garage overnight, and I decided to bring it to this Firestone because they were nearby.Unfortunately this Firestone botched the inspection. For some reason they told me that it was a transmission fluid leak, which looking back is very difficult to believe because transmission fluid is typically not brown. They claimed they could not work on it because it was the transmission, so I brought it to a transmission specialist for the first appointment I could find three days later. The transmission company came back and said it’s an oil leak, and they could not work on it. By the time I brought it to another mechanic, the cost of repairs greatly exceeded the car value and we ultimately had to trade it in.I’m not sure how Firestone could have messed up this badly. If they were halfway competent they wouldn’t have misdiagnosed or they would have done an oil leak dye check or maybe even looked at the car for more than 10 seconds. But ultimately they wasted my time and the car leak got substantially worse between the Saturday I brought it in and five days later when we brought it to a mechanic who confirmed it was an oil leak.There’s zero chance I would trust these “mechanics” to look at my car ever again.

I brought my car here to replace a tire and they told me my battery failed and I needed to replace it. I thought it was strange because I just had my oil change and inspection done 2 days prior and they said my battery was fine. The place that did my oil change re tested my battery and said again it passed and does not need to be replaced. They showed me their battery receipt with the correct outside temp of below 32 and then we compared it to Firestone’s battery test where the outside temp was 77 which is why the battery failed. I will be making a complaint to the corporate office.

I bought a tire at this fire stone less than a year ago they recommended the road hazard insurance and I was told if anything happens to the tire that it will be fixed. Well there was a nail in my tire so I Took it to fire stone to get it fixed and come to find out they wanted me to pay a small deductible. After going back-and-forth for a while I was finally told that it doesn’t cover the tire it’s more of an insurance policy where you have to pay a deductible. If I would’ve known that from the start I would’ve got my tires at discount tires wear when you purchase the roadside hazard that means whatever ruins the tire from the road it’s covered completely. After explaining my position they did not charge me and I really appreciate that. I will not be purchasing tires from fire stone anymore

BUYER BEWARE these guys will try to rip you off if they think you dont know any better about the car.Went in for oil change. Car had been making some noises that I described to the guy and he said they could check it out.Calls me back and has, suddenly, found OVER $2000 worth of work that needs to be done as a safety hazard!! Quoted me only $800 on the phone and 45 minutes to just do the oil change.Well I showed up 15 minutes later because now I am worrying they will TAMPER WITH MY VEHICLE and my car is sitting in their lot. Ask the guy 45 minutes, huh and he smirks and says give or take.Taking my car to a mechanic I trust for a second opinion. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.

Matt was so helpful. He explained all my options and I was satisfied with his expertise in helping me with the situation I faced with my car. I highly recommend this location. I could tell Matt was answering my questions with expertise and knowledge... not pulling the wool over my eyes cause I was a female with little knowledge of car problems. I bought tires online and selected Firestone as the installer. The shop is nice—clean and well equipped—and the mechanics seem to care. I felt good about leaving my car there. However, when I came to pick up my car, they tried to charge me nearly $30 more than the quoted cost of installation. I showed them the quote, and they responded by reducing the cost significantly, but they still tacked on an extra $3.50 for “shop supplies.” The gentleman who was overcharging me had a sign above his head with a photo of Harvey Firestone and a quotation: “I believe fundamental honesty is the keystone of business.” It’s a lovely sentiment, isn’t it? I couldn’t help shaking my head as I walked out the door.

One of the few times I will say it was a pleasure to have my vehicles serviced. The garage is managed with integrity, honesty and the up most professionalism you wish for when having your vehicles serviced. The staff understands how important it is to have your vehicle serviced promptly and correctly the first time. The price is fair, the work impeccable. Thank you firestone.

I stopped in today to see which tire was low, and if they’d have time to put air in the tires for me. They were very busy with cars in each bay/stall (?) but the gentleman working the desk was polite to everyone and said I was second in line to get air in my tires. I was fully ready for him to apologize and tell me they didn’t have time and to come back during the week! But, he didn’t! I’ve come here for a number of different reasons and have gotten great service each time. And fun fact; when I opened their website, I saw that’s me in the first picture! ☺️☺️

Prices are bot reasonable at all...what they tell you over the phone and what you pay upfront is totally different. And the customer service is horrible

We had a flat and they gave use a number for a toll truck, there was a snow storm in progress so we had to wait. They were very polite and went and got a replacement tire and installed it. Good relationship.

I have bought a tires for my three cars here. And I regret about that now.All tires have manufacture wear warranty. But that is just words. They NEVER exchange even any tires under that warranty. They are going to wash up your brain and they have a million reasons to wave from responsibilities.I have Firestone Ifinitiy tires installed in summer 2013 with mileage 140k. Manufacture warranty is 70k on that tires.I regularly rotate tires and did not drive a lot.Now is summer 2017. Mileage is 178k.I brought them original receipt and warranty list.Guy with red beard washed my brain for 20 minutes like: I did have any records about rotation, alignment is incorrect, you did not bought additional warranty....And he said I am sorry I cant replace tires by the warranty.Be aware of it.Guys from Discount Tires can offer you much better service.I gave them one star but they dont worth even zero.

Very nice service guys but every time I bring my vehicle there something is wrong or they messed up or forgot to tighten the bolt or something the only reason I keep going back is because I have a enterprise fleet vehicle that only can be repaired by a Firestone or a good year . One time I brought a vehicle in and the change the a arm but forgot to tighten all the bolts and I heard a knocking in a rattle and they said that was fine then I took it to a friend of mine who is a mechanic and he showed me what was wrong. I brought my other work vehicle there and had them do an oil change and repair my tire from a slow leak, but they rotate my tires from side to side not front to back And they didnt even change the tire pressure monitor on my dashboard so my slow leaky tire is not where my tire pressure monitor tells me it is. ,And they didnt fix the slow leaky tire. They said that the tire didnt have a leak and that they took the tire off to find a league and reseal the tire better but it still leaks after about 5 days it drops 30PSI. They are a tire shop they should be able to figure out where the tire is leaking .

These guys are great! I called and spoke to the Manager Lou. He was extreamly nice over the phone. I needed an oil change and I was having a problem with one of my windshield wipers and I wanted to find out how much they would charge to inspect my wipers before I brought my car to them. Lou asked me a couple of questions and said it was probably a simple fix. He said they would check my wipers for free. I booked an appointment and brought my car to their shop. After my oil change was complete, I was informed by another manager named Scott that they tightened a loose nut on my wiper arm and that my wipers were fixed! When I asked how much the repair was, they told me it was no charge! Hey guys... thanks for not taking advantage of a college kid with no money who doesnt know anything about cars.

The Wheaton store is first-rate. I have been using them for five years and have been very happy with their service.

This is one of the most honest and trustworthy places I’ve ever experienced. The dealer wanted to charge me $400 to change my burned out headlights. Firestone got me in on their busiest day, and charged me 1/4 of the price . I was so grateful for their kindness and fairness.

Hoping for stellar fix by them on my pilot today, wait n see what happens but they were friendly.

A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!!! One of my co-workers in a work place near by this Firestone had her car broke down and we collected money to help her out. She could not afford the repair and with Christmas expenses, she was crying!!!I called Steve (who have serviced my car before) and he joined in the giving and hooked us up with huge discounts!!! Today, my Friend feels VERY loved and Steve and his crew at Firestone were a huge part in making her Holiday Season a little easier. THANK YOU STEVE and all who worked!!!

What a rip-off. My daughter took her car their for a windshield wiper problem. After over a $ 700 charge and year later it stop working. No warranty over a year and a day. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR there for mechanical repairs.

Staff is very friendly and quick to help you out. I usually go here for an oil change and tire rotation and they accommodate me even without an appointment.

They know what customer service is all about.Wow the difference is like night & day since my visit, last year.I worked for Firestone back in 1979 and back then customer service was top of the list, and many businesss these days have forgotten that.The Carol Stream Firestone is a place I would recommend for all your Auto Care needs.I did send a friend in some time ago and Chris was a real help to her during a major tire problem she was having.Keep up the great work, see you soon.

I love the service here. There is no overselling or b.s. that you can experience with other places. The engine light was on on my 2013 Elantra, so I took it in. I dont know anything about cars, so if they wanted to rip me off, itd been easy. Instead, I was walked through what they DIDNT find, and walked out with new lamps, an oil change (overdue by 600 miles), new wiperblades(needed), cabin air filter (needed), and new spark plugs and a fuel system cleaning. What a relief! I was thinking $1200, not $450
