Experience and confidence mechanics and work done at a fair price

Terrrible service ripped me off paid 1800 at their other location on north ave then went to this one in carolstream paid 1300 for them to do nothing but mess my truck up and over charge me brought my truck back because the work I paid for was done incorrectly they told me bring it in now they want to charge me for their mistakes

They told me it would be $1500-2000 to fix my car . when I then took it to the dealer it was a very simple thing that took them less than 15 minutes to identify and fix for $150 just the inspection fee. Merlin had my car for 2 days and couldnt find what the dealer saw right away.

I was in town visiting a friend and had a brake issue. My car is pretty old so I didnt want to put too much more money into it. My friend recommended Merlins and it couldnt have gone smoother. I was uncomfortable not being able to go to my usual mechanic, but Joe let me know the issue and gave me a fair price. I was able to get it picked up sooner than I thought and it was good as new. Very happy with my experience.

I took my car in on a saturday without an appointment. Not only did Joe and Tony take care of my car repairs, they ended up staying after hours to make sure the job was done right. I had such a bad experince with there price . They said one price and called you back 10 times more price then when you say you want car back , they drop price again. But they don’t wanna give you receipt they want cash you can not blame them for anything . Such a bad experince and worst place to go .

Joe and Tony run an excellent shop with over 50 Years experience between them they can help you with anything and their prices are super reasonable. Joe even told me when they have a corporate special coming up so I could save some money on more expensive repairs I have coming up. I will continue to utilize them as my prefaired mechanic shop. Two thumbs way up for the integrity they bring to an uncertain trade!!!!

I have to say this is the first time that I am writing a negative review about this Merlins. I have gone there many times and when my wifes car was not functioning properly i recommended that she take it to these guys.She called to make an appointment for them to look at it. The check engine light was on so we took it to autozone and got the printout of the diagnostic report for free. Upon bringing it in, they said that they would have to run a test of their own which would run us $80. We told them no, as it will only return the same results. From there the associate that helped my wife was an absolute a-hole. She decided to take her keys and leave as he was being unreasonable and just down right rude. We will not be returning to this Merlins. It is right down the street from us, but I would rather drive farther away to get some decent customer service.

Been going here for oil change for a few years. No issues, no up-sell, easy in n out 20-30 min. Lots of mags to read, coffee and water to keep you hydrated.Cheaper than other chains and wont try to hustle you for a coolant flush, air filter, fuel injector cleaning etc..

Do not go there !!!!!! They gave us price and drop the car and they called me back, we told you $130 but this is gonna cost $1000. We said we do not want to fix it because car is $500 bucks. Then they called me back they can do for $150 instead of $1000. I am going to get my car back I won’t trust them at all. They are ripped you off !! Don’t let them do it!

Will over charge you and try to fix things that are not in need of repair. Go to Goodyear for a better service.
