We have been to this Apple store two times. Each time we were helped by knowledgeable friendly staff. Being help people who are pleasant and helpful makes it easy to go back when we need something else.Not once was there any pressure to buy. Instead, each person made sure I understood their answers.Our last visit was to ask the store to apply a screen protector with its screen machine. Unfortunately, the machine was not working. They said it is due to be resized or replaced. When I asked when it would arrive, they said it should be soon, but they didnt have an date. They went on saying, call the store in a few days to see if it was available to apply the screen protection. They also said, the Best Buy store across the street can apply screen protectors if we dont want to wait.

Meh. Hit or miss. This is my go to store usually. Manager is super awesome. Sometimes you wait an hour or two for a scheduled appointment. Sometimes they help you right away. Some folks have attitudes. Some are super nice and care. If you plan on going. Commit to your entire day/night because you might get stuck there for longer than expected.

Terrible experience. I bought the AirPods 3 online and came to the store to pick them up. Not only was I unattended for 10 Minutes but my AirPods were opened when I received them. They were under the name “Big daddy” . Definitely disappointed on apple.

FIrst review of the Carlsbad Apple store after many visits with similar experiences. The staff would be wonderful, if it werent for the arrogant ambiance created by Apples unnecessary bureaucracy. Even on slow days (including pre COVID) Ive had to create an appointment for the simplest warranty support, which means a second trip to the store.A couple days ago I took my son to buy a new Macbook Air. The sales rep wasnt able to process the order with education pricing in-store. No problem...I placed the order on my phone, for in-store pick-up. I then asked him to see if he could have someone fill the order since I was waiting. His response, No. Youll have to wait 30 minutes for someone to process your order, and I need you to wait outside. Right....Im going to wait for you to sell me something....the ONE retail store on the planet that isnt eager to sell products.I left immediately, cancelled the order, and picked up the same Macbook Air, for the same price, and with an extra 1 year of warranty at Costco.

This is my local apple store. Plenty of staff on hand to help. This store is a good size, they have a Genius Bar and all the usual apple items. A good shopping experience always here. Sometimes you have to wait a bit for assistance but nothing too crazy.

Love apple products. Did not like the customer service at this particular store in Carlsbad. First time I walked in to buy my daughter an iPad, and every store representative ignored customers and seem upset when I asked for assistance. But i thought maybe it was a one off. Next time I went to pick up my new iPhone which i had already purchased online. The guy at the entrence straight up looked at me and ignored me as he turned away to keep looking at his phone. Then I went to someone else who couldn’t help me and sent me to talk to the guy at the door, go figure. Then the guy at the door said he would help me shortly, ok, 10 minutes later someone else walks in and he starts working with her immediately. As he was walking further into the store with the other customer, he then grabs someone else to come and help me. 1.5 hours to pickup a phone that took literally 2 minutes to grab from their store room and 45 seconds to scan my ready code. For that garbage customer service, I would have been better off choosing delivery to home address. Live and learn I guess.

Complete trash. Apple gives bestbuy as an option online to make an appointment to repair your phone (which Ive done in the past). But with iPhone 12 Best Buy can’t actually do any repairs except for to send in the device to Apple... my phone is completely unusable and apple says I have to wait until Monday for an appointment. They don’t take walkins nor say that Best Buy DOES NOT REPAIR YOUR IPHONE but make you think they do.

Horrible inhumane robotic phone and text system. Wanted to spend around $2000 for an iMac yet could not even get an appointment scheduled with a sales-person after 55 minutes being online, texting and a call-center person trying to solve the mystery of their own scheduling system! If Apple computers function like their scheduling system, I stay with PCs. Most frustrating shopping experience in a long time. If anyone knows the satirist: It was like being stuck in a Ephraim Kishonesque Loop. Totaly surreal.P.S. After the third forwarding a stuff member could schedule it for me and send me an confirmation email. Took about 65 minutes! I hope the iMac will save me time compared working with my old slow PC...

18 employees standing around while I waitedApple treats you as if it is a privilege to give them your money.Today I went to the Apple Store in Carlsbad. I was stopped at the door and not allowed to enter until they had taken my temperature (OK with that).I was then escorted into the store and told to wait. I waited about 3-4 minutes as 18 - count them, 18 Apple employees stood around. There were 2 other customers being attended to.I really like Apple products, although I’m not convinced they should demand their premium prices, however the attitude that prevails in the store is strange.

Do not buy iPhones. Apple paid a multimillion dollar federal fine and this is why:Apple dished out a new software update for older iPhones. A lot of us had our iPhones set on automatic update when ever there a new software update put out ,..your iPhone automatically updates.Anyway Apple had their software update which made the older iPhones operate even slower . Apple intentionally did this so that the older iPhone users think that something wrong with their iPhones and then they buy the newer iPhones which Apple know they would.The amount of the fine was just nickels and dimes to a corporate giant like Apple so they easily paid the fine off.Now Apple is doing the same to their older desktops.They put out a software called Catalina which when downloaded made users unable to use their original Microsoft word program. When the user tried to open a saved Word document ,,.a pop up tells you to buy a new Microsoft 365 package which the user has to pay$80 a year for the rest of their life’s that is the computers’ . Now Apple support lines tried to tell you that it’s Microsoft’s fault and for your to call their support line which is a bunch of bull.Remember the moment you download Apple’s Catalina software ,..all of a sudden your use of your original Word program is disabled so how could it be Microsoft’s fault!!Do what I am doing that is buying smartphones and desktops that are not Apple products. It seems that Bill Gates wants to get richer.

I went to pick up an iPhone I ordered and unfortunately I forgot my wallet at home. I was not allowed to take my phone home because I did not have an ID. They made me go all the way home, I live pretty far from this store, to get my ID. When I got back to the store with my ID, they DID NOT EVEN ASK TO SEE IT! What a waste of time and resources. I’m upset that I was made to go home because they asked to see an ID just to not ask for it the second time around.

Have tried calling this location for 3 days without success. The first 2 times I was understanding, but the 3rd is what caused me to leave this review. This Apple location does not answer their phone which forces it to transfer to the call center and each time, literally EACH TIME, the customer service associate said they dont know what to do or how to get a hold of them and couldnt help me because of it. How? What kind of service is that? You cant help me confirm my appointment date or time because the employee only took my name and didnt take my serial number, but the physical store isnt answering? People pay a lot of money for Apple products to get really lazy, horrible service. I live 40 miles away from the nearest open store during COVID-19, so this is frustrating to say the least. 3 days and no help? Unacceptable!

I am pretty no nonsense. These days I try to have reasonable expectations. I am a manager at a car dealership. My battery was shot, and If I wanted it today I would have to wait for over three hours. Instead I chose to come back another day with an appointment, and I still waited over three hours. I should’ve just waited the first time. Service was ok, and I won’t say don’t go. I did not get any warm fuzzies, but It was my first visit. I am almost 60. I’m used to clear instruction on how to proceed. So, when you come in, immediately find the employee assigned to put you in line. Tell them your intentions to get to the correct representative. Use the wait time to find or research your needs, be it sales or service, have a clue on what you need. Be prepared to come another day if needed , you may want to try and call first. I know I will. Like cell phones, there is no manual. You just have to figure it out!

We got 4 new Iphone 11 beginning of this year and one of them developed this fine white line in the middle of the phone screen.. We tried Apple Carlsbad to bring it in to have a look at it, but they didnt answer their phone and there were no appontments available for over a week. So at the end we send it in for repair, by then the whole phone had white line all over the screen. They informed us that it was water damage and we had to pay 400 dollars for repair. The phone NEVER went into water but that did not interest them at all. They said that even if you have your phone in the bathroom with you (not in the shower) that there could be water coming into the phone and that it was our fault, I pointed out that in the ads it says water resistant but again , no if there is water in the phone its your fault. I a so fed up with Apple and there customer service. Its never their fault, and you always have to pay , their phones get worse and all the customer can do is pay ! This will be the last time my family of 4 will buy an iphone.

James was a very helpful and funny customer service sales member that assisted me with every minor concern I had about switching from android to apple. Every question was answered even at the end of the night. I appreciate how the staff helped up until closing. I love my new iPhone 6S!

Apple is extremely frustrating. You can call customer service to ensure that a repair can get done at the store, only to get there and learn that their is no fixing that and you will need a new device. Also, the two-idetification feature that can be turned off makes your devices unusable if someone is trying hack into your account. Its should be and optional feature or you should be able to direct where the request gets sent. Apple products are over priced and under perform, your paying for sexy not functionality.

I came in with a cracked IPhone 10r and unfortunately they did not have any scenes at that time, so they replaced it instead. They didn’t hassle me, or anything, it was simple, my phone still worked just cracked and I payed for the price of the repair and then after was then eligible for the apple care. And they explained everything extremely well. That service !! And we came in on Black Friday and were helped within 5 minutes. It was pretty impressive

I took in my iPhone 6 to to have its battery replaced and brought along my 2015 Apple Watch which had had its face come detached. When queried about the watch, a young man informed me that its battery had expanded and push out the crystal - requiring either an expensive repair or, better yet, a new 2018 Apple Watch.When I finally decided on the repair, I approached another young man who informed me that the expanding battery was considered a product defect and that Apple would replace it at no charge - or with a newer one if my older version were unavailable.Moral of the story: If its going to cost you, ask someone else.

What a joke! I went in there to buy an Apple Watch. After looking at the product I had to sign up with someone to get on a list to make a purchase. I was told it would take 10 minutes. After 10 minutes I went back to ask if the product I was interested in was in stock. They couldn’t tell me. Only a “specialist“ could tell me. So I waited another 15 minutes, a total of 25 minutes. Then I was told by the “specialist” that the item I wanted was not in stock. So I waited for 25 minutes to be told that the item I wanted was not available.Are you kidding me? My next purchase will be a Samsung.

Worst experience I have ever had with any Apple Store. I went to have my screen replaced and was told that I would have a wait time of 2 hours and that a technician would be able to fix my phone. Unfortunately, I ended up waiting 3 hours, to only be told they would only be able to look at it the next day. “Please tell customers when they check in that reservations may alter, given the time slot.” I did not feel genuine cared about as a Apple Customer.This is not the kind of care that should accompany a brand new phone. Because this store has a choice, under a deep rooted Apple policy, I felt this store does not represent the kind of service I expect from Apple and its providers.

Customer service is really poor at this Apple Store. I have been to Apple stores in other cities that are even busier than this Apple Store, and have received good, friendly service. I arrived at opening (before the store would get presumably busier) and kept getting approached by different service people (who took me out of the line that I needed to be in to schedule a technical walk-in appointment). I lost my place 3 times. When I was finally scheduled for a later appointment at the Genius Bar, the person taking my appointment was short and did not provide information other than telling me I would receive a text. When I asked for more information about the text, she was short and seemed annoyed.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. Took my laptop in to get fixed because it wouldnt turn on anymore. They told me if they had to erase my data and start over they would call me first. Got my laptop back 8 hours later than they said it would be ready, and everything is gone. The computer was restored to factory settings and they never asked my permission. I never was able to back up anything because it had broken before I could get the chance.

My wifes iPhone 6s started to act up and freeze just a few months after the AppleCare warranty expired ( of course), and the staff at the Apple Store was very helpful in diagnosing the issue and determining the screen was bad. It would have been nice if they could of done something for a lifelong Apple iPhone customer with a recently expired warranty but $160 later we left with a replacement phone and most of the applications starting to be restored. Therefore, 4 stars instead of 5.

Let me start off with saying Im not much of an apple fan. My wife had an iPhone 6 and needed her battery replaced. We made an appointment a week in advance and let them know the make and model of the phone and when we got to the store they ran a 30 second diagnostic and said the battery is fine, but theyll replace it anyway. Then they told us they need to order the battery and to come back in two weeks and to wait 5 hours to replace the battery that day. Rediculous amount of hoops to jump for a simple battery replacement. Next phone will not be an apple
