Without a doubt, the poorest run luxury auto dealership I have ever encountered. I took a plunge on a G90 to save some money vs another S-Class Merc. The car is almost there, although there are consistent problems with the tech packages, a clunky transmission, and an engine that needs to warm up before it accelerates smoothly. The bigger problems are the dealership. From the outset things were terrible. Finance made errors. Registration had problems. You have to understand that this is a Kia/Hyundai dealership. The employees dont know that they are giving you bad service, because they are doing what a dealership selling $20-30,000 cars does... On the Genesis side, you are supposed to have Valet service, loaner cars, and a few other perks that are mostly incidental like car washes... They cant get any of the luxury dealer things right. It takes 4-6 weeks to get a service appointment, the Valet doesnt bring the loaner on time, the loaners arent ready on time, the valet is only available 2 days a week, and on and on. Its bad enough that I would choose to never buy another Genesis vehicle because of the dealership experience alone. Not sure if this is the norm for Genesis or just Bob Baker, but it sours the ownership experience every time you have to interact with them.

I have owned two cars through Genesis of Carlsbad and had great experience with the sales and service staff. I have no problem recommending them to anyone thinking about purchasing or needing service for a Genesis vehicle.

This is for the Owner to see. Your “salesman” Amy is clearly new and isn’t even interested in the job. The “manager” Cody doesn’t want to sell any cars. He is on an ego trip.Made an appointment over the phone to test drive G80 5.0 and 3.3T and Amy asked me to come over. After I reached, gave the documents, she went and scanned etc, .....needed more time to do paperwork, after 25 min comes back apologizing for the delay and that I can only drive one car today “ because of COVID 🤔, then Cody pretty much said it is unfortunate she made the appointment and then yelled. I left thanking him for the service. I called asking to talk to someone above him to let know what happened. Was told Jamie Watson is the General manager who couldn’t be traced.Only reason I even came to your dealership is because those models aren’t available in the dealership in Kearney Mesa.Didn’t ever experience anything like this at a dealership.

I leased a Genesis G70 in July if 2019 and the whole process couldnt have been easier. From start to finish the deal was smooth, upfront, honest, and easy. I was originally planning on leasing another Mercedes-Benz and drove the G70 out of curiosity. I was blown away and actually preferred the G70 over the Mercedes in every way, not to mention I was thrilled to learn the Genesis was thousands cheaper.I ended up doing much of my deal with Jamie (sp?) and he made everything really easy for me. When I came in to sign the deal the entire process took about half an hour and that included a personalized walkthrough with the car showing me all the cool features and capabilities the Mercedes didnt have.Overall I got an amazing deal and saved hours of headaches by dealing with Genesis of Carlsbad. I highly recommend them. Stop in and get yourself an amazing car at an unbelievable price. Theyre great people with a superior product. 5 stars!
