Reasonable price. Fast service. Flat tire fixed in 30min

I was traveling in the area and needed a tire repair. They fixed it up in a reasonable amount of time and for a reasonable price. Very much appreciated!

Had to order my tires and it took them 2 hours to put them on and didnt have my filters in stock so could get oil changed

The service was great but there are only two folding chairs in the waiting room. So we had to stand for a long time.

Waited 1 1/2 for oil change. I could see my vehicle was done & was told it wasnt.. cashiers customer service & attitude with myself & other customers was very poor

Jared, Christian, and Anthony went above and beyond their job to help our family out. We had a blow out on the road about 20 miles away. I was cutting it super close to closing time and these guys made sure our tire was replaced so that our family could get back on the road! Thank you times a million!

Busy place and I remember when you bought a tire from a business and with the purchase of said tire mounting and balance came with the buying of said new tire!instead its an additional +-$25 Hellmart rollin back peoples wallet guarantee!will take my future tire purchases elsewhere!

Absolutely the worst service ever. Went to get tires and was told no openings until 4pm. I said thats fine. The service lady would not let me leave car for my appointment at 4 and she said I had to come back at 4. When I agreed she then said she gave my spot to some lady out of the blue. Honestly, I feel I was given some BS runaround because no one REALLY wanted my business.I am a working man and cant be driving back and forth to drop off my car for tires. No reason they couldnt have serviced my car other than sheer laziness.I read on the board that the Carlsbad Walmart service center in #17 in the area. Cant even think of even 17 Walmarts in this AREA to begin with. I guess this is why they are so low on the list. ZERO stars!

I have a 7 hr drive home tomorrow and needed a service done ASAP. The friendly staff got my car in right away and fixed super fast! If I lived closer they would get all my business!

Not enough help back there. It makes the atmosphere feel very stressed and unpleasant. They have an overstock issue with tires and its taking up bay space to pull in vehicles. also, would someone order them tools and get their equipment maintained? How are they supposed to do good work with old and out dated tools?

They do a good job, good value for an oil change. The reason for four stars rather than five, is it seems they have trouble snapping the dipstick into place. Its happened on more than two or three occasions Other than that to do a great job. Just follow up, check behind them

Their work seems fine, but I wish they could give a better time estimate for completion. I realize there is no way to gauge it exactly, but I was told my car would be done in 1-1.5 hrs. After waiting an hour I could see that my car wasnt even started (flat repair), so I had my husband pick me up and asked them to call me when it was done. They called me about two hours later, so a total of about 3 hours. Im really glad I didnt sit and wait that whole time!

Have warranty on my tires, but because of the lack of employees and the ones they have are rude, I cannot get a slow leak fixed on my tire. I have taken my car to them on 3 different occasions. I have to put air in it 2 to 3 times a week. One of the times they said they checked it (back in May) and didnt find anything wrong. The problem is still there. The other 2 times, even though they had more than 3 hours left before closing they said they were too busy to get to it that day because they dont have enough help. They have good tires, but if you want good service you might consider going to Artesia or Roswell.

Good, honest, helpful clerks. Cheapest place to get an oil change in Carlsbad. The clerks helped me hunt around for a place to get rims/wheels and went out of their way to help me find a place. Id recommend them to anyone. They so take longer to get an oil change than other places, but $20 versus $50-80 at other places is worth the wait. And theres a place to shop while youre there. Plan accordingly and you wont go wrong.

Poor service, mechanics and clerks have a strong attitude, not client focused. 3-4h wait to change a battery. Service poorly done: 2 months after battery change at Walmart I had to take the car to the dealership for regular maintenance: they mentioned that the battery was not securely connected, and corrected it for me.

Very slow. Rude. Not thrilled with this place. Four hours to get two tires put on. Went on a Tuesday at 2 was told they couldnt do it come back tomorrow. Was there by 7am, they dont open until 8am. I waited. When they opened they didnt understand my instructions to put the tire that was on the driver rear, back under the van as a spare. Rotate the front driver tire to the driver rear and put two brand new tires on the front, driver and passenger.Not only did I explain this to them. I wrote instructions on paper for them, for no confusion.Because they could not understand what I was asking for they bumped me two vehicle and my van wasnt finished until 4pm. Horrible experience. Horrible service.This isnt uncommon either family and friends have the same problems when they visit. If you need tires and you can drive 30 miles I suggest going to Walmart tire services in Artesia N.M

Bad experience! The two men running the shop need to study their craft more. The internet is filled with a lot of information, and I’m smart enough to figure out what will fit my truck before I order.I was the one with the Ram and the 285/60/20 Toyo RT tires. Guess what? They cleared! Your loss! I hope you read this!To the young Gentleman working there. Thank you for helping me get them in the back of my truck and apologizing. The technicians are always in a bad moodOne time they denied me an oil service because it was a fancy car, my car?, a 2013 vw jetta wow, they claim theh are always short stuff so if you value your time dont go there.....

Walked into the only place open after work hours looking for a couple of tires that are impossible to find in Carlsbad. They searched for 20 min triple checking everything before finding a the right size. They then installed them when they didn’t really have time so that I could go back to work. I will bring my vehicle back. I even had a bit of an attitude at first because I have been frustrated about not being able to find tires. They were respectful and courteous the entire time.

It would be a lot better if they wouldnt close an hour early Ive came 2 days in a row and was turned away service

The customer service is great. Love the people in the automotive care. Yet it is Clear to see that this Walmart does not care about this department or its staff! Very shorthanded techs and CS working as if they were 3 or more people each! 10 stars to the staff. Walmart a negative 1!

Service is slow, I understand they have one guy but when your there when they open and it still takes an hour to change out a tire, and I took it off and took to them. Idk bout that place, while I was there a man came in for oil change told to come back at 11:00.

Hellmart and there gate system for funneling and making it harder to get out of a store that is at best a nightmare where you just leave ur cart and walk out!! Avoided at all cost/chance!! Not to mention the fact that you have less option for leaving if a person is unstable!!But that is just my opinion!

Service Writer Nowhere To Be Found - Stood outside at the Service Writer Station for 10-minutes waiting. Only to have some scraggly young guy pull up, walk inside, finding the Tire Changer somewhere inside the store. Whereupon the Tire Changer told me Id have to wait for the scraggly guy to be serviced first. That of course didnt sit well with me at all, so I called for both the Tire Dept Manager and the Store Manager, spelling out to them that the first order of business is customer service, or lack there of, upon which the Store Manager asked how he can make it right with me. I responded that you are not going to make it right because you just lost two cars for tire and oil service, not just for this one instance, but forever! Further explaining that Ive been a loyal patron of WalMart Tire and Oil Service for 20-years, but not anymore!!! Afterward, I drove straight to Master Lube and they handled my car with great skill, informing me that they handle this model all the time and explained the required seal replacement on the oil filter and the required washer replacement on the oil pan drain-plug, to say the least I was impressed. After oil serviced made another stop at Forrest Tire and they too handled the front tire installation in a highly professional manner, took car for high speed test drive with absolutely no front vibration, dead on straight. Moral of the story, if you want it done right the first time stay well clear of WalMart Tire and Oil Department, visit your private shops and rely on their expertise, you wont be disappointed.

Need to change your service hours to at least 4 o clock as this has been the second time i have been refused service an hour before close because “we are short staffed” this was on two occasions a few months separated. If i could make it any earlier I surely would but some of us actually do our full shifts at work!

Overworked and short staffed. The employees do the best they can while being overrun by an of excess oilfield workers.

I am a walmart tire and lube tech and as an employee I can say that customers can not find a better cheaper place to get their oil changed or tired services. As for the review of Mr. Hammill who stated he was a loyal customer of 20 years tells you that our service has been very dependable for him and to let one bad experience ruin it for him is kind of ridiculous. As for other places like master lube you can go there for an oil change but if you want to overpay and have your oil filter and drain plug over tightened then so be it. The oil filter should be hand tightened and the drain plug torqued to vehicle specifications with a torque wrench which they do not do. As for pricing and service walmart is your best bet.

If I could give them a zero I would. Worst walmart auto care center. Needed a tire changed and it took them 6 hours to change a flat tire. Only two members working and the service manager and auto care center manager should not be called managers because they have no idea of how to run a buisness they are very rude and should be terminated. Dont go there at all.
