I have been going to Family Ford for about 15 years now, for all my service needs. You would think all Ford dealerships would have the same pricing for repairs but I learned, back on my first visit there, it’s not true. Family Ford had saved me over $60 to just change out a light bulb in my truck’s gear shift console. From that point on I felt I could trust them to give me the best service and the best prices and today I still feel that way. As long as I own a Ford, my servicing will be at Family Ford. Super nice and very knowledgeable Service and Parts techs there.

The only problem with them, our vehicle only came with a 30 day warranty. We had to pay 1600 dollars + for an extended, 3 year warranty. Loved the service! Evert one of the folks there were so friendly, it made you feel like you were among friends.

Had a recall headgasket done on my Focus RS. Took a bit longer than I planned as Ford Corporate did not get back to Family Ford in a timely manner but once they got the approval they hammered out the headgasket. I also work in the automotive industry as a automobile technician so when I got the vehicle back I checked it over for quality control and was pleased with the technicians quality of work. No filth left over. From my perspective everything was put back together with care. Clips, wiring, hoses were installed and clocked properly. He also clocked the constant pressure clamps in the original position which can be an eyesore when they are not. Overall everything seems great so far. The car runs well and seems to be ready for many miles and years of enjoyment.

Recently moved from SC to Pa...First visit to this Ford Dealership . Routine maintenance for an oil and filter change on Ford F150 truck.Oil/filter change done timely, and leaking oil plug discovered, which was replaced. Cost of everything was very reasonable.Very pleased with my experience. Employees are all very professional and friendly. I will be back for future needs at this dealership.

Overall, a fairly easy experience. got my back brakes changed, 2 new rotors, tires rotated and oil change. was not a bad time, was a little pricey (not like you can put a price on safety & my brakes were BAD) but they have coupons on their website so check those out and before going. very easy to schedule- can schedule online & over the phone.

I wasnt able to do a half a star but i would have given a half a star bc there service was terrible. They had my dads truck sitting in the lot to wait for the warrenty company at 3pm and they didnt even take the truck into the shop till 230 3pm in the afternoon. The appointment was set up for a specific time in the morning. So it sat all day and didnt get touched till 3pm! Im not pleased with there service at all and the way there handling the bill situation is not how you do things. We will not be going there ever again!

I just purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle with Family Ford and my experience was very positive. I located the vehicle I was interested in and sent an email from their website. Within less than an hour I received a text message from Ethan. This was on a day they were closed! He promised to give me the information I required when he got in the next morning and did so promptly. The purchase was perfectly smooth. The asking price was very fair when compared to Kelley Blue Book. The vehicle was as advertised (if not better). I ran into a small issue two days later and sent an email again. This was after 10 PM. Again, Ethan replied shortly and promised to get back to me the next morning when he got in. He called me early the next morning and asked me to bring the vehicle by and the service department would make things right. The service department was friendly and professional and apologized several times for the inconvenience that was caused. I have nothing but admiration for a business that is so customer friendly.

I went in for a test drive in a Mustang 2.3L Eco Boost and Mike, the Sales guy, was very welcoming and obliging. He had a great knowledge of the vehicle I was interested in and explained all the bells and whistles with remarkable clarity.After the test drive I had no real plans, any real hope of, actually completing a purchase at that time. However, I was so impressed with the car and the friendliness of the staff, that I spent some time with the Finance guys. Not only did they get me approved but at a very reasonable rate with an affordable monthly payment on my dream car.I could not be happier with the sales and service I have received from them. If I could give 6 stars I wouldnt hesitate.Thanks guys for making the entire process so effortless and pain free! I really dont know where the negative comments here come from, I guess everybodys experience is different. I have absolutely no qualms about recommending this friendly, helpful and straight talking dealership to anyone. Go in with an open mind, dont hesitate to question anything that seems out of place or wrong. Trust is hard to earn and even more difficult to rebuild. I needed a replacement vehicle and saw a similar one to what I had online. It was not a Ford but salesman Mike and finance expert Terry still provided great customer service. They were friendly, efficient and not pushy. It was a used car but it was shined up like new and in excellent condition. They introduced me to the service department who were also really nice people. I got a very fair deal and the process was painless - they had a slick new computer system that worked with my bank seamlessly. They really made me and my family feel like a part of theirs. The salesmanship of this dealership is typical...you get approached in the lot immediately, then they create negative equity on your trade by only accepting much less than what its valued at on KBB, then reason that its retail and decline to negotiate. The salesperson was very kind, but after buying a few cars in my life, perhaps thought he could gouge me. A fair, accurate trade goes a long way with potential customers.

My 2004 Ford F150 had a brake issue. Took it in a dropped it off on a Sunday afternoon for a Wednesday morning appointment. On Monday afternoon they called and said it was done. Bought a 2014 Ford Focus 3 years ago from them and through the years I have had nothing but problems with Ford. I had a faulty clutch and they replaced it with another faulty clutch telling me that it will fix itself and I go back later on for them to say that they cannot do anything about it. Since its now not covered under warranty I would have to pay out of pocket for something that they never fixed the first time.

I had my vehicle towed to Family Ford due to losing all power and the engine shutting down while driving down the road. I informed the service department of what happened and that it is more than likely the Alternator. I was called and told that the only thing wrong was the battery. I picked my vehicle up and it seemed ok. The very next day I again lost all power while driving and took my vehicle to LB Smith Ford and informed them what happened and the service agent informed me that it sounds like the Alternator. I was called and confirmed that the alternator was bad. LB Smith fixed the issue that Family Ford should have!Terrible service and will not return.LB Smith Ford will be my service of choice going forward

This place is awesome! We were traveling through the area when a pulley broke on our truck. The power steering went out, truck over heated and the battery stopped charging. We were so lucky to have been close to family Ford. They were extremely busy but Mike Baim did his best to help us out. He quickly ordered the parts and worked us in as soon as possible. He had given us an estimate before hand. They had us on the rode in about 2 hours. I would highly recommend this dealership. Our cost was less then the estimate. These guys are fantastic!

Theyll give you many options, including less expensive aftermarket parts if theyre considerably cheaper than the OEM Ford parts. Reasonable labor rate. We searched the net for the best deal on a super duty with STX package. No dealer in our area would even come close to the offer we had with Ethan at Family Ford. The nearly two hour drive was well worth the trip. Everything was ready to go when we arrived except the signatures. Fuel and DEF was topped off and we were on our way. I realize they are sales people but everyone we met was very nice and seemed generally excited for us.When the time comes for another vehicle I will look there first. What can I say>>>have been driving Mercedes Benz for 27 years but now I find myself in a Ford Focus ST. Tangerine Scream in color, its amenities are superb for a car of its class. That said, my experience at Family Ford was delightful. Had it not been, Id still be in my Benz enjoying Grey Poupon instead of rocking down the road in my ST. My car was towed in there due to a failed spark plug that blew out of the block. They gave me an estimate over the phone to replace all the plugs and the coils. I approved that estimate! Picked up the truck and drove down the road a couple hundred yards and the truck stalled out. Did this three more times in two miles. Brought the truck back. They said it had a different issue and needed to charge me another $100 plus to fix that. It did not have that issue when it was towed in. 3 weeks later truck began missing again. Was able to get it to my regular mechanic. He said coil packs were not replaced on any but one plug. Call the dealership and they said the estimate was only for one coil pack, yet I was never shown the estimate or asked to sign an estimate or even told there was going to be a formal estimate. Have had service here before and was never offered a written estimate. Call the dealer to see if anything could be done about this and their response was no, they felt they were not in the wrong. Personally, I would never go here again.

I looked for a used SUV at Family Ford at the beginning of August, 2014. Ultimately, I was able to find something out of state while on a business trip that better suited my needs. However, while shopping at Family, I dealt with a very accommodating, patient & honest staff, especially when dealing with Ken Cramer. For example, Ken answered the phone early one Saturday morning before they were even open. Had I purchased there, I have very little doubt that the vehicle would have had any surprises & it would have been a quality vehicle. Let me tell you about the service I received, I dropped it off Thursday night 08/14/2014, they said they needed it first thing Friday to fix the recall it had on it, so I told them to leave the key in vehicle because I had a spare and I was going to pick it up after I got off work Friday evening at 10:30 on 08/15/2014, My friend dropped me off and I got in side my vehicle there on the dash was their work number with red side up meaning not done, my key is no where to be found, so I have to call them on Monday to see why the recall wasnt fixed and will have to leave early on my way to work to pickup the key.Then I will have to make an appointment else where to get the recall fixed. I will also have to to my friend to go way out of his way to help me again! Will never again go there. They suck!

I went to Family Ford Carlisle to look for a car for my girlfriend. I found the one I liked online and called in and talked to Jay Groove. He told me about the car and everything that was fixed, replaced etc. I told him about other cars I was interested in and he told me the whole story on all of them. Im not a fan of dealers, But by far Jay is not a guy out to make a buck like all other salesman are. He is there to help you and get you into the car you like. Thats the first thing I liked about him, Also not only did he call me once but twice before Thanksgiving and now right before Christmas. Buyer beware!I bought my used Chrysler at Family Ford in March 2014. The test drive was fine, no problems came up. Less than 1 week after I bought it, the check engine light came on. I took it in and they replaced the O2 sensor. Less than a week later, the light came on again. I took it back and they were unsure what was causing it. They managed to get it off and sent me on my way. 2 days later the light was back on! I decided to take it somewhere else. The new mechanic said there were a few issues, one being the O2 sensor needed to be replaced. I brought in the paperwork from Family Ford only to discover that Family Ford put the wrong O2 sensor on my car. The manufacturer states that it needs a certain O2 sensor or it will continue to throw the check engine light. So I got that replaced again. Then the new mechanic tells me that the car “desperately” needed a tune-up. I know enough about cars to know that if the check engine light is on, it might need a tune-up. This vehicle went through the Family Ford shop THREE times in 2 weeks and they never once did a tune-up. This mechanic advised that if there were more problems, to bring it back and they will do more digging. Another week later and the engine light came on again. I took it back to the new mechanic, who did some major research, even calling the local Chrysler dealer, who advised that there is a known problem with this engine that needs internal engine repair to resolve it. They printed out the information and advised me the steps to take. I called Family Ford to speak with the shop about the O2 sensor being wrong, missing a tune-up, and how they missed the service information from Chrysler. His response was that he wanted proof that they put on the wrong part (which I have), that they didn’t do the tune-up because they aren’t familiar with Chryslers (“after all, they are a Ford dealer” – his words exactly), and that he would have no way of knowing the Chrysler service information but that they checked and there wasn’t one (?). I pushed the issue, about how it made it through their shop and they claim to have no idea there was an issue, and I was told I would have to “prove it” that they knew. Then I am told that the shop manager would discuss the situation with the owner and call me back. I never heard back. They never addressed the situation. Fast forward to now, still less than 1 year after purchase, and the car will not pass emissions. I am now forced to take it to another mechanic to see if the engine can be resolved so that I can just drive my car legally.This has been, by far, the worst experience I have ever had with a car dealer. Family Ford has sold me a car that has been in the shop too many times for the same issue in less than 1 year and it is still not resolved. I understand buying used runs risks, but telling me to “prove it” is extremely condescending and very telling about their character. I now tell everyone about what I went through and will continue to do so.Buyer Beware!

This was the first visit to Family Ford and I left not feeling like family.I placed a work request appointment to have The Works Package and have four new tires installed that I provided. My time was for 10am. I walked in the door and made eye contact with the two workers at the service desk and was ignored. I stood in the doorway for a minute and then went to the window where I assume the billing woman sits. I told her I was here to have my car worked on. She told me to talk to the guys at the window. I walked up to the service desk and again made eye contact with the guy standing there. He picked up some papers and walked away. After about another 5 mins of waiting at the desk I asked if someone was there that could help me. Someone finally says can I help you with attitude. I have been in the service area at least 8 mins by now. I said, I am here to have my car serviced. I gave him the keys and he said he would call when it is done. I informed him that I would like to wait and he told me that he wasnt sure when they would get to it that day. I normally go to Keystone Ford in Chambersburg and when I have a time set, that is when my car is worked on. I only tried Family Ford since we have moved closer to Carlisle. The person at the counter said they have no idea when it will be done. I had to get back to work so I say ok, let me see if I can get a ride. So after about 10 mins of me trying to find a ride so I can get back to work he then tells me they have a shuttle service. Why wouldnt you tell me this BEFORE I tried to scrabble and get a ride? The young man that drove me to my destination was a good kid and had a nice chat with him. Out of the whole experience he was the best part of Family Ford. The service department called around 3pm and said the car was ready, since it was snowing I asked if we could get the car the next day and he said yes. I asked the person I talked to if the shuttle could pick my wife up at her work at 11am so she could get her car. He said that wouldnt be a problem. The next day my wife is standing outside at 11:15 still waiting on the shuttle and she gets a call asking if she still needed a ride. The shuttle showed up at 11:40. Again the young man was professional and very nice. My wife told me that the check out process was very confusing and again was ignored when she walked into the service department. No one explained the report provided to us like Keystone Ford does. The work was done as requested but we will not be back to Family Ford. Please take a look at how Keystone Ford does business and rework your customer service guidelines.

My Mitsubishi had an overlooked exhaust leak due to a botched repair by a different mechanic a year ago. The Mitsubishi dealer that looked over it stated that there was no exhaust leak, and the car was not repaired, despite exhaust noise, CO leaking into the passenger area, reduced MPG, and a slower response time. The car was taken into Family Ford and the leak was diagnosed, repaired, and tested. For the first time in a year, the car runs like it should! I will be returning to Family Ford for all of my repair needs.

Service departments is incompetent and lazy. I scheduled to have my car inspected, get and oil change, and get a recall bolt swapped. When I arrive for my appointment they told me I did not have a stand-by appointment. The entire event ended up taking 3 hours for 3 very quick fixes, my car spend most of the time just sitting there while everyone talked (I could see in the garage that no one was working on it). Then once they gave me the car back I noticed they improperly reattached my steering wheel cover and damaged the inside. THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEYRE DOING. If I have any advice its go elsewhere. Even while I was waiting for my car to be improperly put back together I heard other customers complaining because they didnt know how to fix their problem.
