If they had an option to give a 1,000 star review, I most definitely would. I have never had anything but an AMAZING experience with this store. All of the employees are extremely helpful and caring. When I was in high school, all of my dresses came from here. Recently, I went in to look for a wedding dress. I unfortunately did not find the one because I had a very specific style in mind. However, I went in to buy all of my other accessories and they also gave me the number to the lady that alters dresses there. Vickey is the best and so responsibly priced. David’s Bridal wanted to charge me over 500 dollars for dress alterations. She saved me hundreds of dollars and was so sweet. I would highly recommend this store to anyone that is interested, you will not regret it.
I have been coming to Encore since I was 14 years old for my formal wear needs. I have bought every dress I have ever worn here including my graduation dress, and so when it came time for me to find my wedding dress it was my obvious first choice ! I walked in and looked through the racks and even though they were very busy with homecoming dresses they took the time to accommodate me and make me feel special as well! I found my perfect dream wedding dress here that had the tags still attached for $375 ! I cannot believe I have found the dress of my dreams! When I put it on it was that moment you see on the and I just knew it was the one ! They also have an amazing selection of wedding accessories and as a gift to me gave me mine ❤️ Forever a customer from 14-32. Thank you for being so amazing !! I will be shopping here for the mother of the bride dress and bridesmaid dress as well !!
Stopped in to check it out because if what Ive heard. I literally bought over 100 hundred dollars worth of clothes and jewelry. Absolute beautiful clothing I found and my sense of style. Someone out there likes exactly what I like because they were all put together on rack. Store is organized well. Conflicted about resale but I just cant believe what Ive found and the condition was superb.
I love... And have always loved... This place. Great clothes, often unique. Still have layaway. They even have a limited section for men where Ive found some excellent high quality clothes for my husband and sons. Ive been shopping here for twenty years. I have noticed in the last few years the selection in womens sizes over 12 have really dwindled and skewed older in style. Upon reviewing some of my past garments for potential resale, one employee commented that they were really big... They had been used as maternity wear, so yeah, fair point. But that made me wonder if they are moving away from larger sizes. 🤷 However, that one snide remark aside, the staff here is delightful, fashionable, and wonderful to work with. I still find enough garments to keep coming back, and...I highly recommend their shoe selection, where youre likely to find a wide variety of shoes in all sizes and price ranges.

Paula gave us a phenomenal discount on a bridal dress I found. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. Their selection is so diverse, especially in the bridal section since thats where I was looking. A lot of nice jewelry too. They have several changing rooms available to try on clothes. The store has such a wonderful history too.All in all, I had the best experience here and cant wait to come back again! I would recommend Encore to anyone who is looking for good quality, discounted clothing with wonderful customer service.

Absolutely love this place. (If you dont mind second hand clothes) is the best place to shop for wedding dresses, or any formal dresses. They have both mens and womens clothing. The lady that does alterations for them is wonderful, extremely talented, and very reasonable. All the ladies there are so sweet and helpful. We have bought 2 wedding dresses and a few other formal dresses here.
I have been shopping at Encore since about 1991. Paula and her mom were always so professional and pleasant. Ive watched the store grow...and it remains consistent with professional, pleasant, and helpful staff as well as great...really great...prices. Love this place...just miss the free Tootsie Rolls that are no longer available since the Covid stuff happened. Hands down, the best ever consignment store in our area...or Akron and Cleveland!!!! Of course, thats my personal opinion. The prices are unbeatable for the quality of stuff they offer. The clothes, shoes, purses, and jewelry sold there are in excellent shape. The variety is great...Go check it out for yourself, and I bet you wont be disappointed.

This is place is awesome and they have very nice clothes. My mother, 92, wanted a buy a dress to bury her sister in and I wanted to support local small business so I took her here. When the owner found out, she didnt even charge my mother for the dress. We were very emotional and thankful. The funeral is this week, my Aunt was 93 and I know she will look lovely. Please support this local business.

Depends what you are looking for. I was focused on business attire; not a big selection and not my style. However, they had a nice selection of wedding gowns and prom dresses that I noticed. I was there twice and made no purchase. But like I said, it depends upon what you are shopping for exactly.

Love the fact I can get quality prom dresses for reasonable prices! With multiple daughters thats a big relief. Also the ability to bring the dresses back for resale,makes for a great way to not have formal and semi-formal dresses cluttering closets just taking up space.

I constantly recieve compliments on my outfits that I put together from Encore. I like classic and timeless basics with some funky fun thrown in. Great place to shop for homecoming/prom dresses. Great deals! We found a dress and were in and out in a half hour! (World record for my daughter!) It was busy, but everyone was polite. Dressing rooms are small upstairs (in a closet).

I drove over an HOUR to find this store and it was worth every mile.This place is amazing. About 10x bigger than it looks from the street and full of beautiful clothing, jewelry and accessories. Much of what I bought still had the tags on - and what didnt - could have.Just gorgeous and the service is lovely. Attentive but not cloying.The arrangement of rooms has a maze-like quality, but once I understood the set-up it makes sense. The way they display blue jeans is INSPIRED. I wish retail establishments did that.Finally, I took home 8 items of absolutely FANTASTIC designer quality clothing including CK, Talbots, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor and more - and spent only $86.Amazing quality, amazing price. Definitely hope to get back that way!
Lots of selections, courteous staff, and great prices. I also witnessed one of staff purchase a dress for a girl whose dad is active military. She did not know the girl, she just mentioned a patron that gives her money to donate at her discretion 💜 I will be back.
The owner of Encore is one of the nicest ladies you’ll ever meet! She is super reasonable and will accommodate to any situation, no matter what it is. I would highly recommend shopping here! You’ll find what you need for a reasonable price!

Brought items in for review by an employee. Was told items had been in the closet too long. Not that there was anything wrong with them. I understood what she meant they were not purchased within the last 2 years.Had no problem with that. Did walk through the store and looked over the items for sale. All I can say is that a fair amount of clothes that were for sale looked like they were way passed the 2 year requirement.
My daughter and I had the most amazing experience at Encore today! The owners were not just incredibly kind and helpful--they bent over backwards to help us find the *exact * item wed been scouring Northeast Ohio resale shops to find. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough! I was particularly impressed with the vast array of formalwear. Youll also find beautiful accessories, shoes, strapless bras, and other nicer apparel--and cozy dressing rooms to try out your finds. The prices are so reasonable, and everything is well-organized. And did I mention--they have a seamstress on staff who will help you with alterations if needed? This is THE resale experience you need to have!!

This place is incredible. Not only did my daughter find her gorgeous wedding dress here (at a fraction of the cost of a new one), but the staff opened an HOUR EARLY today just for her, so that she could have a final fitting with the wonderful seamstress Vickie. I cannot say enough great things about this shop! Do NOT hesitate to shop here!!!

Encore is hands down my favorite place to buy clothes. Good selection, great organization with not too much rooting required, items are like new or gently used, and great prices! I normally find shopping very stressful, but here I can actually enjoy myself, and in under 2 hours have my wardrobe restocked for the season!

I love stopping by this place when I am in the area. The second hand clothes and items you find here in good condition. Its a great place to look for somthing for work/business attire, to dress up, and other special occasions like prom. There is an assortment of jewelery, shoes, bags, sunglasses, and more.
If you are like me, you have a closet full of clothing thats still in great condition. Just taking up space in the closet. You know you wont wear it again but you hate to just give it away. Take my advice and take it to Encore! They only take clothing that is still in style, in season and in good condition but it is a great way to say goodbye to some of your clothing that you wont wear again! They take the time to go over everything with you and let you know exactly what the process will be to help you sell your articles. They also take shoes, purses and jewelry. Give yourself some space and let Encore help you bring in some extra, unexpected, cash! Especially with the Holidays ahead, who couldnt use the space in your closet and some cash in your pocket?
I took a prom dress that I had into Encore for the first time. I knew the dress was older, but it was in really good condition, no holes, stains or wrinkles. I went into the shop and the employeean older lady with glasses told me to put the dress on the rack. She would look it over and while doing so she suggested I roam the shop. I did. Twice actually. Two times I came back to the front and my dress was still on the rack and had not been taken out of the plastic. Then another customer came in with clothing and this employee immediately took interest in what this customer had. So again I had to wait while these two talked and discussed the clothing when I had only brought in one item to be examined. When the employee finally got to me she said that even though my dress was in excellent condition it was just not in style. Yes the dress was outdated. I got it back in 2003, but I was hoping that because its an elegant dress in really good condition that there might be some interest. I could have handled the news better if this employee had looked at it right away. But instead she not only made me wait, but took more interest in the customer that came in nearly fifteen minutes after me. That was actually hurtful. All your customers matter, especially if its their first time in the shop.This was the first time and will be my last time going in to Encore.

I have a reputation for dressing well. Classic and timeless pieces can be found at Encore.But if you have a wild side you can find thst too at Encore. Their prices are great! The staff is knowledgeable and always ready to help. Again, all of that with great prices and layaway makes my clothes shoppingocation easy.
