I had such an amazing experience with Brides & Tailor from start to finish! Since I was a Michigan bride, I was able to go to their main office and have an in-person consultation, which is something they really only offer their local brides (its an e-commerce business and you dont *need* to see anyone face-to-face). I had maybe 6 or 7 idea photos of pieces of what I wanted my wedding dress to look like and I even drew my own sketch to show what I wanted. When I was at the consultation, we discussed color, cut, style, types of fabric, etc. Since my dress had so many pieces of inspiration drawn from different photos, they suggested I get a sketch done by their professional fashion sketcher. I didnt want to have anything messed up, so I jumped on it. The sketch came out gorgeous and the dress looked like exactly what I wanted!I went to a local seamstress to get all my measurements taken, then emailed them to Brides & Tailor, and they took it from there! I didnt have time worry about trying on a bunch of dresses or finding the one because I already knew what I wanted. And I didnt have to settle for something I was less than 100% happy with because I was getting it custom made! The best part is that it cost about the same as a regular wedding dress from a store would cost, including alterations. But I didnt need alterations since when my dress arrived in the mail exactly on the date Brides & Tailor said it would, it fit perfectly!!!I didnt have a single problem getting into my dress. My MOH was a little confused because shed never done a corset back before, but after I showed her what to do, everything was fine. After a little skirt fluffing by my MOH and bridesmaids, I was ready to go down the aisle, confident that I wouldnt have a single wardrobe malfunction like you see in the movies or hear horror stories about. Nope, not for me!I did have a slight problem with the sleeves being a little snug around my arm, but I think that was a problem with the measurements, not the person who made the dress. At the place where I got my measurements, the people didnt seem too fastidious while taking my measurements. My dress was a hair long, too. Again, I think it was the people who took my measurements, because everything else was absolutely perfect. Just make sure whoever takes your measurements is paying close attention!The dress was so, so well made! Since Covid, I decided to order my wedding dress online. To be honest, I was very worried to purchase my big day outfit without trying on but I found this beautiful dress on Brides&Tailors Etsy store. Well... when I received my dress, I couldnt stop smiling and didnt want to take it off after I tried on! It was just what I was imagined! I changed few design from the original picture was on etsy store and it was super easy to communicate with the owner Manal. She also sent me a leftover lace fabric so I could add few spots that I wanted to cover little bit more. From the time I sent my measurements to received my dress was about 45 days and which was very fast for a custom dress. I am very happy with Brides&Tailor experience and my beautiful wedding dress!! Where do I start??? Man oh man what a smooth ride. All the millions of questions I asked... I always got a nice response. Manual worked with me. I have been following the Brides and Tailor page for a couple of years on Instagram. I always thought the dresses that were being posted were beautiful and I always told myself if I ever got married, I would check them out. I was so nervous about ordering my wedding dress completely online. I didnt know what to expect. I contacted Manal and showed her a picture of a dress I liked to get an idea of how the ordering process would be. Manal was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. I never had to wait more than a couple of hours for her to answer my emails. I sent Manal all of my measurements (at her guidance) and Manal immediately started work on my dress. She sent me updates and pictures every step of the way. Even when I didnt like the color I had originally picked out (it was a different champagne color than I had imagined) Manal was quick to change it around for me. She was extremely quick to accommodate me. She sent me a few fabric samples and helped me to pic the shade that I wanted and had my dress completely redone. Manal and her team were able to have my dress completely done in a little over 3 months. Had we not had to change the fabric, it would have been done faster. She shipped my dress out to me and I got it literally the next day. Let me tell you, MY DRESS IS GORGEOUS. Its even nicer in real life than it is in pictures. It is everything I have ever dreamed of. It is made so beautifully. The fabric is heavy and the intricate detail on it is so nicely put in. When I tried it on it fit like a glove. They got all my measurements to the T and nothing needs to be altered. Even the length is perfect. I did not want to take my dress off. lol. If you are looking for a custom made wedding dress, do not even think twice about going through Brides and Tailor. You will not regret it. I bought my wedding dress from Brides & Tailor a couple of years ago when they were in Dubai under another name. I got to know about the business from a friend at University since I was in preparation of my wedding day. Everything about the quality and price was very affordable if you compare it to market prices, but my only comment was that when i received the package with the dress in it, it was not in a luxurious bridal bag ( the type you would expect to get for your wedding dress) . Since it was shipped it to me, it was packaged in DHL packaging. It kind of stressed me out when i saw it like that, but when i opened it and noticed that they actually do it this way while flipping the wedding dress to the other side to prevent any beadings from falling off while shipping i felt more comfortable. You definitely need to iron-dry your wedding dress before wearing it. Overall, what you get is great value for what you pay.
