Love this store! Yes - be aware that they only take cash-but if you are a dedicated bookworm and lover of used books -are able to get up a flight of stairs - the wonderful, knowledgable owner will help you find some gems! I am not in the area often - but when I am -I make sure to visit!

Stone Soup has been here in Camden for ever it is the real deal. The owner has an amazing recollection of inventory and is an extraordinary fellow. The pictures speak for themselves. If youre on vacation, make this a destination in Maine. Excellent collection of Maine books. However it is upstairs and plan on spending some time browsing for every book you didnt know that you wanted and needed.
