Great eco friendly product selection and great customer service

This is one of the two low waste shops Ive heard about in the Boston area (I havent visited the other yet) and my experience both visits was pleasant. I heard about Cleenland from the newsletter I get from my compost service.The first time I stopped by just to check the place out. I somehow lost my mask (they werent required anymore at the time but better to be safe i think!) on the bike ride there (COVID life, right?) and they had extras which I appreciated! Staff is pretty friendly; had a good conversation. I explored their inventory and ended up picking up a few items. Theyve got a decent variety of home and personal care products with minimal packaging. As you would expect of a low waste shop, for most liquid products, you bring your own container. If you dont have a container theyve got jars available just in case!I stopped by a second time for a shampoo bar and found one I might like. They explained that theyre working with a small business to get shampoo bars that work well for black hair (the struggle, haha) and asked if I could share my experience with them after using the one i bought so they could stock things that work well and people like. Well see how that goesA good place to visit if youre on or considering the low waste path!

Awesome local shop. We need more places like this to bring your own containers for zero waste shopping!

Im obsessed with all things Cleenland. I rave about it to everyone. I get all my household items here: laundry soap, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, oils, tooth tabs, you name it, theyve got it. Theyre super helpful and the mission is awesome. Onward to zero waste, folks!

Cleenland is awesome. Were so lucky to have a shop like this in Cambridge! Im really pleased to not have to buy single-use plastic items as much anymore. Its also a great spot to buy gifts.

Great place for picking up cleaning, body care, and home goods that are zero waste or as close as can be. Bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, essential oils, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste tablets, biodegradable loofahs and dish brushes, beeswax food wrap and silicone zip lock replacements, toilet paper, and so on. Bring your own container, use one from the leave-a-container/take-a-container section, or buy one in store. So glad to have this as an option!

Great store! Great options! We need more stores like this! This store has single handedly help me cut down my plastic usage by over half! I recommend this store to everyone and they love it too!

Great vibe at this store. Once you enter, Sarah makes you feel welcome immediately- she is friendly and helpful. You can bring your own containers to refill or use one of theirs. This is a great way to cut down on plastic. Dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, cleaners...you name it. And many of the products are from Puracy, a great small business that manufactures the products right in Massachusetts.

Great idea for a shop - refill station for cleaning supplies (home and body). Lots of products, and arranged/organized nicely. Havent compared prices yet, but hoping itll save me a bit to refill my own containers. The person minding the shop was helpful, but could have been a bit friendlier!

Im so happy Cleenland is in Cambridge. I brought my own jar to fill with dish soap and cant wait to go back for more. The prices are reasonable and the selection is great!

Stopped by to get hand soap refills and saw at least five other products I use regularly. The prices are reasonable, the store pleasant, and the owner friendly. Ill definitely be going back!

So happy this exists! The staff are extremely knowledgeable, fun, and helpful. The prices for household cleaning supplies are a bargain, and the staff helped me figure out which personal care products made the most sense for me and my budget (liquid shampoo vs bars etc). Looking forward to my next visit!

The owner was extremely rude. I went into the store and she was friendly to families and other white customers, but looked me up and down in a critical way. When I tried to buy something, she seemed irritated and only said ‘okay’. I would not return to this store for anything. The products were wildly overpriced. You can find the same things on Amazon for a much better price.

Wonderful place worth the drive with excellent service. Reduce and reuse (because recycling is... good but so much isn’t recycled in the end)!

Cleenland has done all of the research to help me reduce waste in my home! Thrilled to have carpet cleaner that wont poison my cats, amazing lavender body soap in reused containers, and dish brushes that dont have any plastic in them. Ask Sarah about anything - shes a guru about plastic waste.

They offer a variety of household products and even a take one leave one container area. The staff are friendly and the store smells lovely.
