I like that its very clean and easy to navigate. It would be better if they could have porters at the end of each hallway that custom delivered to my basket each individual item.

I only needed a cake for my sons birthday. The bakery had a great selection available and they immediately added the birthday greeting I requested.

The Safeway Pharmacy team are and have always been professional, helpful, customer friendly, caring folks.

The Burke Toen Center Safeway is going through remodels and they are making it look nicer. The changed the coolers and freezers out and the whole store already smells better. Hopefully it will keep improving. I still prefer this store versus the Lidl that is in the other shopping center.

Parking great. Easy in and out of both parking lot and store. Shopping carts are huge and are in good repair; no yucky broken wheels. Store looks old and the lighting is dim...maybe theyre trying for ambiance, but it comes across just old and tired. Cashiers seem grumpy for the most part with a few exceptions. Self checkout is a nightmare: everything must go in the bagging area -- even big stuff like soda and fire logs. Prices are good but you MUST have a Safeway club card... otherwise prices are sky high. Produce and meat selection is outstanding. Bakery is okay.

Their online ordering and curbside pickup is really disorganized and REALLY slow. Placed our order Friday night for Saturday afternoon pickup. Was supposed to get a text when the order was ready. No text. Called and was told they were running late, but rest assured they were working on orders and would text when ready. Finally got a text at 7:50 p.m. that our order was ready and we were told we had to pickup by 8:00 . . . Gotta hurry to get there in 10 minutes! Hurry up and wait. After we arrived and checked-in, we had to wait 32 minutes to get our order. I love the idea of online ordering and curbside pickup, but this Safeway failed miserably.

The store appear to be in good condition. As usual its over merchandise but offers good prices for the products they sell. Biggest distraction is the bathrooms so probably the worst smelling bathrooms in all of retail. Its not that there not clean ,it is ventilation systems are poorly operated. Overall on the gold standard Id give it a 7.

Safeway is always a surprise for me. Today I picked up 2 items that were on sale and neither came up on the register correctly. There was someone there to help me but I should have just left the items there and walked away. It took a long time to get everything figured out and to get the correct cost. I should have expected it since I went in there to get just a few items. Murphys Law got me again.

It was ok but I wish they would continue to sell fairlife sweet cream coffee creamer and I wish they sold weight watchers brand cheesesticks. They also took away Kix cereal...

Close and convenient and have what I need each time.

Found a great sale on floral containers. I will give as Birthday gifts to my buddies who love fresh flowers and create their unique, creation.

Prices are higher than local competitors. Baked sweets are below avg, but bagels and breads are above average. I really enjoy their Lucerne brand of dairy products.

My husband went in to just grab some lunch from the hot bar and he met Dominic the deli manager. Dominic was amazing, he had great customer service, and his food was delicious. Our whole family loved the lunch he prepared. We will definitely be back for his food!!

Safeway had items that Giant could only dream of back during the shutdown. First place around that actually had TP and hand sanitizer.

Produce quality is meh. Meat department is ok. The guy smoking cigars out front nearly drops the store to two stars.

Im surprised this havent gotten onto the news yet, but I recommend you dont get any cakes from the bakery. I saw the same cake for two-three weeks, except the sticker that goes on the container is peeled off and changed to a different expiration date? I know its the same cake because its in the same position and you can see that the old sticker was peeled off. Sometimes I see mold coming off the cake too, and its absolutely disgusting. You could get somebody seriously sick.

Grocery stores are not so different from each other anymore. Safeway stands out, however, because of its bakery. It is the only grocery store I know with genuinely good cake. They have pastries that are good as well. The only place I have ever been that gives them a run for their money is Wegmans, but Safeway has better cake.

Nice store... Only had 1 bunch of Romaine lettuce .. I bought it... The insides of it was molded... But I did buy their guacamole and and strawberries.. was really good.

I’m always treated kindly, helped and just yesterday asked for a refund, and once again, treated properly and respectfully. My four year old is always greeted by employees and Mrs Margaret is specially kind to him. Love, love, love this Safeway.

I have been shopping at this safeway location for twenty years now and It is the best in this area of Virginia!!! The night manager and cashier for the self checkout are the most friendly and courteous! I recently did cash back and forgot to take the money when it dispensed from the register. I was panicked when I got home as I left without the money and thought someone already pocketed the money I withdrew. However, the cashier managing the self checkout knew I withdrew the money and set it aside for me and couldnt be more thankful for such helpful staff at this safeway!!! This location will always be my preferred location for grocery shopping! Cheers!

Selling food near or past expiration to this degree should be Criminal. I havent even been able to find near here that doesnt expire in a couple days. In completely done shopping here.

It boggles my mind that a Safeway in affluent DC/ Fairfax County suburb Burke has no shopping carts. Last time I was in this supermarket, I had to use a random Shoppers shopping cart because that was the only one available.Aisle sale signs are never in sync with the registers and cashiers are perpetually understaffed. Underwhelming selection across the board. Always a disappointing experience.

Upon being rung up, the vitamins wouldnt ring up. So the register said to go to the pharmacy...the person (pharmacist I presume, in a white coat) didnt even acknowledge me standing there til I made a comment about her not making and effort to say something.Then she tries to still explain herself...which at this poibtvof just want to purchase the multivitamins. It doesnt ribgvup in the pharmacy either! She then says go to customer service.Safeway, if youre gonna sell any vitamins..this shouldnt be this difficult.I wont be shopping this place because if the lack of knowledge and courtesy of the employees.Thanks.

Arrived 515 pm. Long lines at checkout. It took seemingly forever for someone to ask for help and open an additional line.

Last year, I bought an apple pie, and started eating right after I went back home. But after quite some bites, I found green mold inside. Returned, and learned that a lot of customers have returned pies for the same reason. Stay away if you can.

Typical Safeway. Lines can be long during peak times due to no self checkout and few cashiers. Starbucks in store makes trip worth it.

I went to buy the shrimp that were on sale for $6.99 a pound. When I checked my receipt at home I saw that I was charged $7.99. This seems to be a frequent problem with Safeway.
