08/05/2021My cousin and I walked into what we thought it would be…a high end music store with an awesome selection, and it was exactly that. The minute we walk in we were greeted by an awesome Two Rock Amp and it felt like this is the place to be. Vintage guitars on the wall, high end boutique amps, and classic vintage amps as well.My next encounter with this store was with an older gentleman behind the counter (I assume the owner) asking me if I had my vaccine. Odd question and none of his business, but I answered politely and said no. Keep in mind, our masks were fully on the second we walked in, in respect to Covid mandates in LA and the sign posted on the front door before you walk in. He then proceeds to ask me if I was being serious about not having it and I said yes. After I answer that question, he says out loud in front of his colleagues and my cousin, “you’ll be the last one to ever come in here without a vaccine” and gets up from behind the counter and walks in the back room away from the showroom.I felt extremely uncomfortable by this time and really wanted to leave immediately. For my cousins sake, we browse their selection of inventory. After about 10 minutes I told my cousin we are leaving.I won’t leave the part out about you apologizing as we are about to leave but your demeanor was unprofessional and your judgments to my personal choices are irrelevant to you and your establishment. Your questions were personal and unnecessary and I came in with the mindset of purchasing something, left with nothing but a write off to this place. I don’t ever plan on coming back and supporting your business with or without a vaccine. Unbelievable…

Require vaccine to enter a Small time dump of a shop. Typical Liberal loosers. The vaccine is causing the the virus to evolve faster in variants that’s why Israel and the UK are having a hard time controlling it now with the vaccine. The more people that get vaccinated the more the virus will evolve. 30 people are dying a day from the Virus due to allergies. Disgusting that people like this want to force a Vaccine that’s failing. He should just close up his shop and stay home if it’s so Scared

An absolute treat of a vintage guitar store. I was in from Detroit visiting family and decided to check out some vintage Gibson acoustics. Sam was accommodating, knowledgeable, and all around perfect to work with. Ended up with a killer 59 Gibson J45. Definitely one of my top 5 guitar store experiences and now a destination when Im back in LA.

The BEST! Bought a gorgeous K-Line Truxton online at around 4:00pm CT. Asked if there was any way they could get it to me the next day. No problem, no drama. It was here (Texas) by noon. Great communication and follow up with Joe Cruz and the guitar was exactly as described. Highly, highly recommend!

A destination guitar store for sure.If you live electric guitars and amps and want to check out the best of the best stuff, L.A. Vintage Gear is the place to go.This small shop packs a big punch when it comes to the best gear around. Its one of the only places around to stock a lot of the stuff they have. Also, the owner and sales guys are very nice. No pretentious snobbery, just love for high-quality gear.I love this place and will make an effort to return every time I am in L.A.

LA Vintage Gear is my favorite guitar place in Los Angeles hands down. Not only do they carry gear that nobody else in the area carries, but they are beyond accommodating and genuinely helpful. The first time I came into the shop was on a vintage gear crawl through LA. The vibe in this place is unlike any of the others. The shop itself is just so inviting and beautiful.I actually came to check it out specifically to try out Two Rock Amps. For whatever reason, I was drawn to the Benson Monarch Reverb. Id never heard of them or seen them before but it just intrigued me.The guys in the shop plugged me in and handed me a nice Danocaster and just let me enjoy. I wound up bouncing back and forth between the Benson, Two Rock Studio Pro 35 (I think) and a bigger Two Rock just for fun. But that Monarch Reverb captivated me.Fast Forward to March as Covid took grips and I reached out to Clif and team about the Benson Amps. I told Clif what I was interested in and what my playing environment would be and he helped me settle my mind on the Monarch over the Vincent. Then he got it to me the very next day.Talk about service! I also reached out with random questions and he always responded. Then even more recently, I was on the quest for a special Martin Dreadnought. I checked a bunch of shops and on a whim, I checked LA Vintage Gear as well. I remembered seeing acoustics, just didnt pay them much attention when I went in previously.Turns out, they had a great used Martin Custom Shop D41 on the wall. I checked it out on a Saturday but didnt have money with me to close the deal.Messaged Clif the next day and he made special arrangements for me to go pick it up when they are usually closed. These guys are really amazing, carry amazing gear, stand by that gear 110 percent, and will go out of their way to make sure you are happy. Its not the biggest guitar shop in LA, but its the most comfortable and definitely the coolest.

Arrogant and could care less about buyers located out of state. Careless packing of amp and resorted to threats and name calling when PayPal was contacted.
