I ran out of contacts waiting for them to send me an appointment reminder. Finally called and they said I was due to come in 6 months ago!! When I came, I noticed none of the staff (nurses?) were wearing masks, and one of the doctor’s even coughed into her hand before taking a patient back. The employee who I interacted with had long acrylic nails which are unsanitary in a medical setting. I had to wait 25 minutes past my appointment time, and then was taken back for only 3 minutes (in order to read one poster, sit in a machine for 30 secs, be asked “any pills?” which isn’t a complete question, be told to take my contacts out and return to the waiting room for 25 minutes without my contacts. As someone with advanced near-sightedness, it’s really unsettling to be in a public setting without sight for any period of time, let alone that long. I should’ve brought my glasses, but they should’ve sent me to an exam room. While waiting, I heard another patient complain for having to pay for a prescription trial because the receptionists made a mistake and entered the wrong address to send the trial to and they can’t do a free trial twice. Charging people for their mistake is ridiculous. While waiting I also heard staff discussing their paychecks. After 50 minutes of waiting past my appointment time I left and will take my business elsewhere.

They price gouge the glasses. Go to zennioptical or warby parker. You can get the same thing for 1/4th the price. Never again!

The worst place to get your glasses , I booked my self an appointment on March 1 for new glasses. On that day I choose what frames I wanted and I had to pay half of the amount which was their policy I understood which I paid more than half and they told me it will take 2/3 weeks to get them in so I called to check if my glasses where ready and they told me give a one more week because the manufacture of the brand of glasses was delayed which I understood so I gave them a 2 week but when I call back they pass the phone line a couple times and couldn’t give me a response and told me that they never put my order in already being 8 weeks later so they asked me to come back in and chose new frames and I denied myself because that was so unprofessional of them not placing the order in and asking for the half of the amount. So whatever I just told told them to just reimburse what i gave them they denied and to go in and choose new frames and I told them no thank you I have waited so long for nothing that I just want my money back so when I asked them can I speak to optometrist they told me she was out and no one could attend me that she might be back tomorrow that they weren’t sure when she was going to be in .Therefore I told them I was going to show up to the building for my refund so I have them a couple day before I show up when I they told me they didn’t had a check for me to come back tomorrow but I told them NO that I gave them a couple days for them get my Reimbursement so they had no chose did that day . So if you want to wait 2 months or more for glasses this is the best place to go .

We love it here everyone is always so friendly and the dr is very informative and explains everything to my daughter so she understands.

For being my first time here , I was very pleased with the costumer service and the Dr . Now I only have to wait for my glasses 3 weeks and we will see then if I will coming back or not .

I called to check up on my glasses and the lady who picked up my call is extremely rude. She hung up twice on me and once I said thank you she just hung up the phone. The doctors are great but not the customer service from the front desk.

I have called SEVERAL times about my contacts being on back order. It has been at least 5 months since my appointment. I dont understand how this has happened considering that my prescription is the same in both eyes. I received one box immediately and am STILL waiting on the other. The receptionists have not been helpful and the most recent phone call, she was pretty rude. Instead of calling me back with a solution, I was told to call back tomorrow or Monday. Why should I be the one continually calling with zero resolution?! This is TERRIBLE customer service. The health of my eyes is at risk as I am forced to wear contacts for longer that recommended. Was my insurance already charged for both boxes of contacts? I feel like this is a scam. After several years of using Greene Eyes, I will be looking for a new optometrist.

What an amazing experience! The last time I was this satisfied with my eye doctor was back in El Paso, TX in 2006! Dr. Mindi was absolutely fantastic. She was patient and extremely thorough with my eye glasses exam. She took her time to get everything just right and patiently answered all of my questions. Moreover, she carefully explained everything from my retinal imaging. Im also thrilled because she told me that I could potentially use contact lenses with my high astigmatism! She likes a challenge and she will do her best to fit me for contacts! Im going back in June for my contact lens exam. So happy! State of the art facility and first class service! Please visit her for your eye care need. You wont regret it!

I been going to green eye since i was a teen and they are yet to fail me .. On 10/7/2020 I had a issue with my glasses bending so i took them to green eye and within 30 mins i was out the door free of charge .. I would recommend to anybody ..oh yeah all the receptionist that was from working 4pm and 5 pm was nice and very helpful

I have not gotten my regular eye exam for two years. So, one of my friends recommended me to meet Dr. Mindi. She was really nice and helped me to check my eyes. Especially, the receptionist having long hair was amazingly nice. Back then, I forgot to bring my insurance card but with her help, I could make an appointment.It was a good experience!

I have called multiple times in one day, has left messages and still was not able to speak with someone about frames. They are so unprofessional and DO NOT return phone calls. If they are short on staff then maybe they need to hire more people that is willing to do the job. All I had was one question so now that 2 minute conversation we couldve had over the phone is now about to become a hour long lecture in person on how to professionally keep you clients happy.

Unprofessional staff: please train these women on how to smile and have better attitudes. I will not be taking my 2 boys back after having a bad experience with those women. I like to feel like I’m coming in to a friendly atmosphere when going in to a business and that was the opposite today.

Greene Eyes was a life saver! Last contact was ruined and while other eye doctors were either closed or booked solid on Saturday, Greene Eyes was able to squeeze me in right away for a quick and thorough exam and sent me on my way with plenty of contacts right away! Staff is very unpleasant and far from friendly. I dont think I saw them smile the entire time we were there. The doctor we saw had an arrogant attitude and it was very off-putting. They all without a doubt need to be trained on how to be friendly and professional. I thought maybe it was that particular day but had the same experience the next time. Especially with the woman who handles the glasses. We were definitely over charged and my prescription was wrong. I will not be returning here.

After our pediatrician told us we would have to go to Houston to see an eye doctor for our 12 month old, I asked around and found out that Dr. Kavanaugh sees children. She was wonderful with him, playing little games the whole time, and kept mom and dad happy, too! I have already recommended her to several friends who have been going down to Houston because they did not know there was anyone in town who would not only see children, but who was super excited about seeing children!

Dr. Prince was great. Super fast, thorough, and got me what I needed. Roxie at the front desk was very nice and helped me with everything I asked about. Kimberly, the young lady working in the optical/glasses section, was very rude. She didn’t seem like she cared to be there. She did not answer 2-3 of my questions and casually carried on in her process. Super rude. The eye exam took ~20 minutes. I was in and out of the office in less than an hour after buying contacts and glasses.

Greene Eyes provides excellent service to both adults and children. Prior to Greene Eyes, I had had some trouble finding a family-focused optometrist in the area who could see both me and my children, but I found just the right people. My ten-year old daughter had been wanting contact lenses, but I had hesitated because I wasnt sure she was ready. Dr. Greene answered all of my questions and reassured me that now was a great time. The optometrist assistant who worked with my daughter to teach her how to put on her lenses was super helpful and patiently coached my daughter without hurrying her up. Their optometrist assistants are the best in the area and especially patient with children. Highly recommend them!

My entire family absolutely loves Greene eyes! My husband is military and even though we live out of state now, we make it a point to make a trip to Texas every year for our eye exams at Greene Eyes! This summer my son, who is 3, had his first exam ever and it went perfectly! Mindi was excellent with him, the dilation process went quick, and he finished with a smile on his face and cool shades to wear! The entire staff at Greene Eyes is so friendly and helpful and they even take the time to ship out glasses and contacts to us. We are customers for life!

Everyone was very pleasant and I got in and out quickly. I was not rushed when looking for frames. The only negative I found was most of the frames are over $200.

Brought prescription in on a Friday. The guy could not run the insurance and the lady that handles insurance was on vacation he took a copy of prescription my daughter pick her frames. He said it will be handled Monday. Called Monday they could not find the prescription and the guy that handled my order Friday was not in. Called today spoke to another lady she only found my info from 2014 placed on hold now she found info but ask can you come pick out frames. The guy already got the frames and prescription.can I get the Dr. Name and we will call for a new prescription oh its hard to get on from the Dr.and now I have to wait 2 weeks for glasses thats will be 4 weeks until my daughter can see the smart board in school.

Not only were they able to get all of us in for an appointment quickly Dr. Greene spent time with us and answered all of our questions. Dr. Greene fit my daughter for contacts this summer and we had a great experience. After one set didnt fit correctly we tried another. The office staff was capable and friendly. Dr. Greene was approachable and engaged my daughter in the process. The prices for the contacts are competitive through the office as well.Plus, the office is close to an heb, Starbucks, and Joanns so its easy to catch up on errands before or after appointments.

First time customer. Called in the AM, got a same day appt. Was early, got started early. Everyone I came in contact with was nice and pleasant. Dr., listened to all my concerns and choices, made one suggestion. Even with insurance I was afraid of what my bill was gonna be, have to tell you I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the Dr. and the eye exam. I had my exam on Aug. 11. I order my glasses that day and I am still waiting for them. They Green eye can not tell me there and when I will get them. I would not recommend going there.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. I could not be happier with the Doctor. She is patient, understanding and has always been great with my daughter. Since I consider her knowledge and expertise the most valuable aspect of the visit, I will be returning. I trust her with my daughters vision so that will outweigh the negative experiences I had. The receptionist was polite and the assistants helping with the screening were okay. Not great but okay. The office has been packed with little or no room in the waiting area so perhaps they were stressed or overwhelmed? On every visit? I did need help locating frames, trying to figure out what the insurance covered, my out of pocket expense, length of time before receiving the glasses, etc. This is where my experience completely tanked and the words customer service became an extremely bad joke. We were yelled too from across the room and instead of getting out of her chair, the girl kept pointing and wagging her finger saying no, not that rack, this one, a little ways down now, no, back this other way now. Seriously??!! There are several racks of frames and for several minutes I had to point and ask if in the correct area? More finger wagging followed by more shouting across the room and over other customers also looking for frames and needing help. Was it really that difficult to stand up, walk over and help us? I wouldve been more than happy to share her time with another customer needing help.It truly is a shame. There is a caring, experienced and friendly Optometrist located here. If youre able to overlook and ignore the majority of the rude staff, the wait time for the Doctor is worth it. Knowing my daughters vision is in capable hands is why I return and deal with poor customer service.I noticed one review stated most of the people with complaints used poor grammar and basically insulted the person leaving the poor rating. It does not take a genius to recognize pathetic customer service. I cant help but think this business would quadruple in size and success if the staff followed the Optometrists example for reassuring patients, being friendly, answering questions and simply providing the level of care and customer service associated with something as important as the vision of our children.If you base your decision on whether to make an appointment on the staff, then no, you probably will not be happy. If your decision is based on the Doctor, then yes, by all means call them. Personally, I am willing to ignore the awful customer service in exchange for knowing my daughters vision is well cared for.

First class operation. After my eye exam I picked out my glasses. Big mistake as its been years and the frames werent flattering at all. Took my daughter in with me and we chose other frames and got the frames and lenses 1/2 price. Not bad for a mistake that I made.Its a robust selection of frames anywhere from designer to inexpensive. I wont be going anywhere else except maybe their new location Urban Optical.

Finally an eye doctor, Mindi Greene, got it right! for the past 15 years, nothing anyone prescribed worked and I was bound to dragging reading/cheaters on and off constantly. The staff is professional and courteous. They provide a great service, to many children, who parents cannot afford these types of services. I noticed a few bad reviews, before I went, but knew the heart of this staff and how hard they work. Especially, on Wednesdays, to help those who otherwise would not have eye care. I gave them try, because I know the good they do, regardless of a disgruntled customer. I would like to see those people do with out lunch or a break for 9-10 hours straight, while serving those less fortunate. If they gripe about a little inconvenience then they would not have a heart to help others. I recommend you do as I did, give them a chance. I am glad I did!!

While the Dr was nice enough he seemed a little too rushed. I cam live with that. My issue is with the glasses I got. I paid almost $200.00 for my lenses. They are very substandard. I picked up my glasses yesterday and today I’m wearing my old glasses. I can see many imperfections in the lenses. My year old glasses have clearer lenses. Will not be getting my glasses from them again. Wasn’t impressed enough with the staff to go there just for a eye dr visit. Looking for another place for my next optometrist visit!!!!!

I was fitted for contacts for the first time in my life. I was skeptical if I could even wear contacts because of sensitive eyes and allergies. Dr. Greene was very knowledgable and patient through the process of finding the right contacts for my type of eyes and condition. I have been very pleased with the results!

The eye doctor is excellent. The women need to be retrained on customer service with the exception of the older Mexican lady with black hair. She is very friendly. The other ladies in there are straight unprofessional. I was so disgusted with them I had to change my eye doctor!!

This business has horrible customer service. They treat the kids and parents awful. I am now taking my sons elsewhere. I am not going to put up with there at tide and mistreatment of customers. And I plan on reported them to the better business burial. And on top of that there sign says they stay open at 6 pm on Wednesday. I got there at 515pm they locked the door as I was walking up to the building and the door wouldnt open so I knocked for five minutes . They got pissed because I knocked on the door. They finally let me in . They acted all mad and told me they were closing up early because they had seen a bunch of kids today. I told them well Im just dropping of glasses to get repaired for my son. I dont have anyone for you to see. After i got ugly looks from all employees in the green eyes . As I was walking out. I made myself a promise . I will never care my children back there ever. And 2 years is enough to deal with awful customer service . Good bye green eyes.

I recommend Dr. Mindi Greene over anyone else in Bryan/College Station. She is patient, kind, and very generous. She will go out of her way to get her patients what they need. She is also great with special needs kids. If the case is out of her realm of practice, she is not too proud to set you up with a pediatric specialist.As I read the other bad reviews, I had to shake my head and laugh. All the bad reviews are from people that have awful spelling and grammar. This should explain the intelligence level of the person writing the review. They were probably not capable of handling whatever their situation was in a calm, professional manner. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLEThis place is insanely ridiculous. Ordered glasses for my fiancé just for me to go in and pick them up and they say someone else picked them up? Now were out 160$ with no product. So when I asked if I can file a police report and have the surveillance checked all of a sudden their surveillance doesnt point in that direction? I did a lot of business with this place but looks like they had no concern since the optical manager Andrea kept telling me its our problem not theirs but theyd be happy to order more which means more of our money?? I think not Greene eyes can sit on it and spin. Ill take my business to the other dr. Greene gladly.

Waste of time, since I already have prescription glasses, just needed a new prescription and glasses. BUT dr prince told me that my vision was perfect, and I didnt need glasses and even though I told him I couldnt see far distance, he said there was nothing he could do to help me(especially if I didnt have a disease in my eyes) It was really weird!!

Staff and doctor seemed to hate being there. No one seemed happy or even smiled once. The doctor was kind of rude and just generally unfriendly. It was very uncomfortable. Not going here again.

The WORST customer service. What staff disagrees with a customer and lies about what she just said. I will NEVER GIVE THEM BUSINESS AGAIN. Almost 3 weeks for a frame that I was told would take 2 weeks. And to get looked over as if I was invisible and when I told her she said we have a list going. I said whatever the young lady got her frame walked out the door came back in and bought a case and I was standing in front of the desk. Wow Some kind of list.

I havent met the doc but I deal w the optometry staff and found them all to be helpful, available and knowledgeable. Prices are on par for a professional shop vs a cheap volume place.

Okay when working with adults but not when working with children. My son was fidgety when in the examination chair and Dr. Greene turned to me and asked if he had trouble following directions. My son tried to ask questions during the examination about the instrument she was using and she interrupted him and refocused on the exam. Said an offensive statement about people who have vision loss cannot get a decent paying job. Seen Dr. Greene twice but wont be back. The front office staff is friendly.

Utterly unaccommodating!!!! While Dr. Prince and his staff are nice and friendly people, I did not receive the thorough eye exam that I NEEDED. I suffer from thyroid disease and it is imperative that I know my eyes are not being affected by this condition especially since I have had abnormal levels lately. He told me that I did not need glasses which is fair, i know that my vision is not terrible but I cannot see things far away which is frustrating during school to see the board but Dr. Prince told me I had perfect vision and that there was nothing he could prescribe that would help since my eye were working at there best capacity?? Sure okay Doc. I also am unable to see at night due to astigmatism in both eyes and this make driving hard for me, AGAIN I was told there was nothing that could be done about that. I made a terrible mistake coming here. I cam due to convenience since I work at Bealls and could walk right down the side walk but I WILL be returning to a more professional and helpful eye doctor, TRACY SCASTA at the eye clinic in JC Penneys.

Dr. Mindi Greene is wonderful with children. She has a calming demeanor that puts them at ease. Dr. Mindis optical has a great selection of frames for children and understands their needs for good eye wear. I would highly recommend Dr. Mindi as the doctor to see to exam little ones eyes!

Instead of chalking my vision issues up to just getting old and this is as good as it gets, which are all phrases that Ive grown accustmed to with other eyes doctors, Dr. Mindi cares and works toward a solution that makes my day to day a bit easier. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY & PROFESSIONAL...OUR PUPPY HAD CHEWED MY SONS GLASSES AND FOR A VERY MINIMAL FEE ($25) WE GOT HIS GLASSES THE VERY NEXT DAY!!!THEY HAVE CUSTOMERS FOR LIFE!!!.

Went in to look at glasses. No one even acknowledged me. Looked around a little while then left. Lost a new customer.

Everyone except the actual eye Dr. was rude, unfriendly and disinterested to help in any way. They wont ever see any of my friends, family or coworkers for any business..... Almost laughable. How do.places like this stay in business? No idea.
