We went to get information on a SUV. Employee was unprofessional, it seemed he didnt want to sell. When I asked for the price of a truck/suv he just said oh no, those are expensive like if we wouldnt be able to buy it even though we never said how much we were willing to pay. We didnt know the the dealership was about to clsoe but regardless of the time he never explained they were closing soon, he didnt make any effort to stay in contact for future questions, he didnt ask for our phone number or said his name. I bought my car there in 2015 but the experience was totally different. Im going back to Honda, it seems they are more interested about the customer than Tipton. Shame on you, Tipton.

Polite but wouldn’t recommend first time buyers to stop by. Soft inquiry was done and they referred to my credit as “baby credit” which didn’t seem professional. They didn’t present me with other options to try to get financed nor seemed like they wanted to help. For the future they should exhaust every option for their customers. I was able to purchase at Hyundai of Pharr instead where they better assisted. Important to remember everybody is a buying customer.

I called and told them I had a door that would not open. (Apparently a very common thing on the Tucson.) They said it was best to bring it in the afternoon to have someone to look at it. So at 3pm I left work and drove 30 miles to their dealership. They were correct nobody was in the waiting room and there was no line. However, they didnt have anybody there to look at the car. They asked me to bring it back the next morning at 9am, so somebody could inspect it. Again I left work and drove 30 miles. When I got there at 8:57am there was 1 car in front of me and that person appeared to be sitting in the waiting room. The lady at the service desk then told me it would take 2 hours before someone could look at my car. I asked if I could make an appointment, because I cant leave work for 2 hours to have someone inspect it and then most likely have to bring it back to have them work on it. Like I said earlier, the door getting stuck and not opening is a very common issue with the Tucson according to other reviews. All it would have taken was 5 minutes for someone to come outside see the problem that they have seen before on other Tucsons. Then they could have ordered the part and scheduled a time for me to bring it back. All would have been good. But instead I have wasted 2 hours of driving with no results.

Although an appointment was made, I missed it. A couple days later I just showed up and the guys still took my car in for the oil change which took under an hour. I also had lost a license plate screw somewhere and they were able to find another one for me. This is my second accent, my daughter has my first one. This is a great priced and reliable vehicle!

We had an issue with Tipton, which has been resolved. I am grateful there are actually companies like this who listen to their customers and work to resolve issues. Very few know the meaning of customer service these days, but that is not the case here. Unpleasant experience! I have purchased many vehicles for personal and business use. After lengthy process and much waisted time my credit was pulled and we came to a final sales purchase agreement only to have Eddy send sales gentlemen to ask to run my husbands social and run his credit saying that if he had a better score than my 747 he could possibly lower the leasing price. They came back asking me to go to finance and I asked him for my husband’s credit score first and again insisted we come to finance and we will show you there. I have perfectly great credit! I don’t know why they tricked us into running his for. It was very deceiving the way they handle this. I never felt like that before anywhere else. I have made many large equipment and real estate purchases just On my own but I hate to be deceived and lied to the way they asked for his credit. We keep our credits separate for business purpose options. Don’t use tactics like that on people. Walked out!

Recently my wife and I were looking for a new large SUV to accommodate our 3 girls. We were not sure exactly what make and model to go with since so many are advertised nowadays. Unfortunately, I also had some extremely bad experiences in the past with car dealerships and salesman’s. Naturally, I either ran from them or was extremely confrontational.We recently moved to the Brownsville area and we just so happen to see Tipton Hyundai/Ford and decided to stop in and check out the new 2020 Palisade. That is where we met Carlos Garza. At first, I thought who is this kid, but to my surprise, his professionalism and knowledge took me by surprise. In addition, he stayed after hrs to show us the Palisade and special features it offered. Unfortunately, we had to leave and did not purchase a vehicle. However, he did give us his card and said he would always be available to answer any questions and he was.As we continued our search, we decided to contact him back and go in to test drive. To our surprise, his knowledge of the Palisade and every other Hyundai product was impeccable. We then made our way inside the dealership and felt very welcomed by the entire staff. Everyone made the entire process extremely simple and not only gave us different options to finance, but many additional incentives to help out with the purchase. Carlos explained everything to the tee and after signing he explained all the features to the vehicle as well.Overall, this has been the best experience in purchasing a vehicle and probably my first and only review I will ever write. Tipton Hyundai has made a customer for life and it all started with a young man who went out of his way to go above and beyond to attend to me and my wife. As a result, I am now purchasing my own personal truck with him. Thank you Carlos for the special attention to me and family.

Customer Service was on point. My husband and I told the sales rep exactly what we wanted and what we were looking for and he hit it right on. We didn’t spend days going back and forth looking for a vehicle. He was honest and straight forward with payment information. My husband and I have bought vehicles before else where and we always end up spending a whole day at a dealership wasting our weekend but not with Steve Borjas. He was on target the whole time. My Husband and I are beyond satisfied with the service and the car. We have 3 little ones and they are handful but Steve was nice enough to buy them snacks while we signed the paperwork for the car. We literally were there only for about 2 hours. The fastest we have ever baught a vehicles. The sales man and the manager at the brownsville location are horrible, uncaring people. They took advantage of I and my wifes naivety when it comes to cars and credit score. Long story short. They told me and my wife that they could get me into a smaller payment(because we could barely afford the current payment we were paying which was $575) by getting my car repossessed. We didnt think that was a good idea, we tried to leave but they managed to trap us and convice us to do that. So that day we walked out with a brand new 2018 Hyundia Tuscon with a smaller payment(lease). We got home did our homework on the repossession only to realize that we cant afford to get our vehicle repossessed. It would affect our cresit big time and they could sue us. So NOW! We are stuck with two car payments and i had to take on a second job to manage to pay for both vehicles and insurance on both. Im paying $575 for my 2016 Hyundai Tuscon and $394 on my 2018 Hyundai Tuscon not including the 160 dollars for the insurance. Horrible experience at the Brownsville dealership. Dont buy your vehicles from there.

I really dont remember the name of the salesperson who sold me my Hyundai car, but I do remember him telling me he would make sure I had the best care. I NEVER saw him or heard from him again. I will give 5 stars to the gentleman at the desk that takes care of your car when you go for oil changes or other car problems. HE and the lady that takes care of the payment after the service are the best in taking care of customers. I also had a collision problem a couple of yrs. ago and the people from the collision department are very knowledgable and they explain everything.The salesman that sold me my car, I felt he just wanted to do that, make a SELL.

If I could give this place a negative I would. Where do I even start..long story short my mom has had a lease car here for about 3yrs. Her renewal was coming up Mar 2018. But since Oct 2017 these guys were calling her non stop to trade it in(have call logs to prove that). So finally she got tired and went to trade in Dec 2017. Then a month later she received a letter threatening to send her non payment of $499 for early termination fee to collections, meaning that they report it to credit bureau. So thats when I get involved 👿 for three months the guys kept passing her off to other people and not giving her any answers. But apparently she finally got a ridiculous answer for manager there stating that they could help her pay half!!! WTH, half! Why is she evening paying anything when nowhere in the paperwork was that mentioned or discussed!!! So I went to talk to the manager yesterday and he gives me the stupidest answer as to why it was never mentioned...because they didnt know! Lol what does that even mean!!!! How do u not know? Arent u all a business?! A professional business?! Dont u have meetings about changes in he company and if so how come customers are and were not made aware?! I could tell u this..the reason they kept giving my mother the run around is because they **cked up and were trying to pass it off on her hoping that she would pay the fee and not fight it and make it feel like it was her fault. Thats literally a perfect example of shady *** men trying to take advantage of an old lady that doesnt know any better. So as Im trying to tell this manger that shes not paying for anything, he stated that he would take care of it and give her a check tomorrow which is today 4/20/18. She called at around one this afternoon and he started back tracking again saying that he was busy yesterday and hadnt gotten to the check but would definitely have it tomorrow. His job yesterday should have been getting this check taken care of!!! Priorities!!!!! I wont hold my breath on getting this check tomorrow but if she doesnt u better believe Ill take it to the media. This is a women who barely makes enough to get by and cant afford for this to go to collections especially since it was not her fault in the first place! I can guarantee you this once this lease is over Im taking her somewhere else for sure. So people if u got a car within these dates double check with them that ur not getting charged cuz obviously they wont tell you.Update 4/20/18: they said they called their finance company to stop non payment from going to collections and surprise surprise it already went to the collection bureau!!!😡 Thanks for nothing and messing with people credit!!! People beware so they dont mess with ur credit either!!!!

On 06/12/2017We left the TUCSON on 06/12/2017 because several concerns,I left written details of concerns and instructions. (I did this so there was no miscommunication)Mr John Wells was the clerk in chargeOn 06/14/2017We received the call that the Tucson was ready for pickupWe went to the dealer ship and John Wells there told us that a few of the items on our list where not resolved, we tested the Tucson with him and he saw that there were still failures on the AC display and on the Radio Volume buttons,John Wells told us (with a smile on his face) that the service of the 15,000 mile that was requested in writing was not performed.By this pint I was very upset ,and I told him that we cannot accept the Tucson and that we wanted to leave he called the manager I can only ASUME IT WAS (Eric McClure).Then he threatened me and my wife to call the police if we took the loaner so we could leave and come back the next day once the requested service gets done.I exploded, throw the Tucson key on the counter top and left the building.My wife remained inside and asked John Wells to call the manager, he refused to call the manager.Bottom line:We were told by Hyundai that my concerns would be repaired or a plan to fix them would be given.My concerns were not repaired nor a plan to fix them was given. They LIED !!!!We were told that we would have a loaner for the repair period and in reality, we were called to pick up the Tucson before repairs was completed and before the “15000 mile service”, that I had requested was performed. And in addition WE WERE LEFT ON FOOT!!!!!!! AND WERE THRETEND BY THE DEALERSHIP !!!!!We left the dealer ship. Without The Tucson, and without talking with someone in authority and without the loaner!!!I HAVE NEVER EXPIRIANCED SUCH BAD SERVICE IN MY LIFE!!!!I can not find a way to express the anger and frustration that buying a Hyundai has become.I was insulted, left stranded by the people that represent Hyundai here at Brownsville TXEric McClure is a coward that hid behind the John Wells.In top of that then we returned the next day to pick up the piece of garbage that the (Tucson 2016 1.6T limited edition) turn out to be. Was lured in. Wasnt looking for a new car. But thought if it was an even trade id do it. Monthly pmt. Est kept going up. But i thought i could refinance at a better rate with the online. Entity i was using now. Drove 55 miles. The salesman kept showing me cars when he takes me aside and asked if my bank could finance it. I explained 3 times its not a bank its an online refinancer. Also when ever i called hector lopez, he would answer the phone bueno. Not identify himself. Obviously avoiding someone.
