Only thing good I can say about this place is the service was pretty good. My husband ordered the corned beef sandwich which came with fries. The sandwich was just thick cut corned beef on white bread, the bread seemed like it’d seen better days and the corned beef was super dry, and looked it as well. He asked for thousand island dressing to go with it to make it palatable because we were really hungry. I got the Greek salad (olives, green peppers, onions, anchovies, feta, tomatoes, lettuce, stuffed grape leaves, dressing) with grilled chicken. The pieces of pepper, onion and tomatoes were not chopped as the menu stated, but rather large chunks that, by themselves, were a mouthful and the dressing looked and smelled tasty, but ended up being mostly vinegar. My daughter got the kids pizza, which looked good, but I didn’t taste it. She was hungry, but only nibbled at it, and she’s really not a picky eater by any stretch. While paying, we put a 0 on the check for a tip (we left cash on the table), which was questioned by the man at the desk. Overall, so very disappointing, and they don’t even give a desert with their kids meals. Oh, I will say the stuffed grape leaves were actually pretty good, but I believe they are not made in-house.
Blah. Yuck. Sad. In that order. Food. Blah. French toast was flavorless. Bacon was more like jerky. Yuck. Not butter. Some other yellow substance. Sad.... such a nice place had such horrid food. Off day? Maybe. But seriously butter... Just give me butter.
Stuck home with a busted leg and craving dinner food i was happy to see them on Grub Hub. I was thrilled! I placed an order for myself and my son and was shocked at how quick it arrived! How hot the food was well prepared and because it was close to closing they even threw in extra fries!I can not wait until my leg is healed to go in there! It is not my normal go to dinner but I think it may be now!
Never will I go there again. I was served hair with my salad, the mash potatoes were dry and inedible, the salmon was overcooked and smelled unfresh. Worst of all the management refused to compensate for the problems saying that I ate it (I couldnt eat most of it), and that I didnt complain about it and send it back. This diner deserves to go out of business.I gave one star because the server gave good service.
Went their and the food was awful! Absolutely no taste or flavor. Then we paid the bill n placed it on the table. The owner ran after us like we were criminals n not paying. I would not recommend this place at all. The only good thing was the waiter. He was funny, accommodating and sincere.
Visited recently. If it is about 1030pm, and youre super hungry and really need great late meal: skip this place and go hungry. Terrible. Slow service, waitress seemed lost and couldnt get order right. Two of us about only ones there and still super slow.I remember when this place was great: no more.Just before 1045, started turning lights off. Yea, I got the message. Will NEVER return. Due to prior layoffs from the pandemic lock down service staff is limited. At busy times service can be spotty. But, that shouldnt keep you away.Theres plenty to choose from on the main menu. All baking is done right there. The deserts are reason enough to go. Last time I was there, I enjoyed a Black Forrest Chocolate Cheesecake. Imagine if a Black Forrest Chocolate Cake and a New York style Cheesecake had a healthy rather large baby. Yes, you would have a regular sized New York Cheesecake surrounded by a Black Forrest Chocolate cake! A bit over-the-top? Yes! But, once every so often, why not?
Western omelet with home fries was Second To None! Also tasted my sisters Greek salad, extremely delicious! Both are a must try
Had breakfast there today they were extremely short staffed for the crowd. But the staff there was unbelievable they handled everything wonderful and got quality food out with a quickness. They definitely did a phenomenal job was extremely courteous and apologetic for slow service that honestly was not slow at all. They all should be extremely commended on the job they did.
Food quality was poor while the business charges top dollar prices. Additionally, they will charge an additional 4% to the end of the bill if you want to use either credit or debit. Avoid the flashy lights... this place will disappoint.
I am currently sitting in your diner. The service is not good at all. The waitress messed up the order. My husband ordered a bowl of chicken soup never got it. We ordered two chicken gyros one to eat at the diner and one two go. The waitress put the order in as a regular gyro. I do not eat meat so I know I order my food correctly. When I finally got my correct order The pita on the gyro is hard. I only ate the chicken inside. Completely dissatisfied with the customer service and food. Waiting for the waitress to come give me a check so I can get out of here. Has not checked to see how we are doing or if we need anything additional

Worst Diner experience ever. Should have known by lack of cars at dinner time. Soup was basically cold. Chicken and turkey was overcooked. Server never asked how meal was despite most of it remained on plate. Owner or manager gladly took money without asking about dining experience. Will never return.

The decor was very nice. It was very clean. The server was personable and patient. The food came with a normal wait. The food was fresh and delicious. I ordered a grilled cheese, my fiancé ordered a cheeseburger. They were both delicious. We finished off with a chocolate pie. It was homemade and AMAZING. I also ordered the French onion soup. It wasn’t as good unfortunately, a bit watery. But all in all a great experience!
TERRIBLE place. Sat for 20 minutes and didn’t even get our drink order when they weren’t even busy! They were taking peoples orders that came after us. There were so many waitresses. Everyone was rude and this place sucks! I would never eat here. We left and I would give this place a 0 star rating

Classic Neon Jersey Diner!!! Plenty of seating. Very bright and clean. We were seated quickly. Our food came out quick. It was hot and fresh and delish. Friendly waitress. Overall great experience. We ordered two dinner specials: Prime Rib and Shrimp & Scallop Scampi. And ordered a Santa Fe Burger. Generous portions. Specials came with dessert. We picked rice pudding. Yum! Prices were good too. Great choice for after a day at the beach on the way home. Right off RT 37. Very close to Parkway to head home.

The service was very good, and the diner was very clean. But the food was mediocre. My meatloaf was mostly salt. Plus they dont have hand towels in the bathroom. Hand dryers spread disease, so bring napkins with you when using the restroom.
Went twice, there will not be a third time. Food is below avg as far as diners go. Very filthy n smelly mens room...wonder whats going on in the kitchen? Worst pickle ever had, tastes like dollar tree quality.
I had a Greek salad with grilled chicken and it was the best Greek salad I ever had compared to other diners that I had been to. My husband had penne with vodka sauce and chicken and he said it was delicious. Took a piece of seven layer chocolate cake to go and my husband said it was very good. The waiter was excellent. This diner has my vote.
Waitress likes to argue about who is wrong when an item is missing. Who cares who’s fault it is, just bring me my fruit cup. I am amazed a waitress thinks it’s beneficial to argue with a customer. Also, is it bad business practice to deny selling a kids meal to a young teenager? I should’ve said she was 12 … will they actually require proof? Chicken fingers were awful anyway. That was a wasted $12.95 on a 14 year old.
First waitress was running her feet off trying to take care of everyone ( which she did ). My companion and I were discussing that no one wants to work food industry anymore so theres a shortage everywhere. Food was average. Got prime rib that was really a regular steak, someone needs to look up prime rib. I always judge first on the salad, this one was a bit old, lettuce not crisp, cucumber inedible, etc.
My wife and I were there yesterday. Staff friendly and courteous. Food pricey and mediocre. Pay at the register? Find out 4% charge for using credit card. Sneak attack. Wont be going back!

They have the best omelets, full of whatever you want! I always get the veggie one with extra cheese, the hash browns are fantastic. My other go to, roast beef club with fries is a diner standard, well done by this place. A great lunch spot even for take out in the covid world
Food was alright, nothing special. But the waitress was awful- she literally did not check on us at all after we got our food, despite the restaurant being practically empty and we could see her standing around. She forgot something I ordered and I mentioned that I never received it, and she just stared at me blankly and literally said nothing. No “sorry”, did not ask me if I still wanted the food or not, nothing. Completely awful and rude as hell.
Menu is still limited 1st week on June. Really cool old style diner. Its right off the parkway so dont go past it. Its on the other side of Rt.37.

I used to go here frequently and never had bad service or food. Haven’t been back in years until recently. The service was very slow. It took 20 minutes to get drinks and over an hour to get our food. The food was not the greatest. I ordered pancakes and the syrup was terrible! Mama’s Cabin Syrup... what even is that? It said it had molasses in it....Not a good choice! It didn’t even taste like maple syrup at all! Would recommend changing syrup brands for sure! Ruined the meal.

Absolutely awful experience. My Greek salad arrived and the chicken was completely spoiled. When I bit into it, it was like a piece of rubber. My husband’s prime rib was a big piece of fat and soaked in salt. Stay away from this diner. You will regret stepping foot in this establishment. I give this place 0 stars.
Ate there many times and the food has been ok . I called recently for a pick up order . Called at 9:15 and no one answered . Called back at 9:25 and they answered . Asked to place an order for pick up and was instantly greeted with were closing soon. We close at 10. We stop seating at 9 and stop taking orders at 9:30. Well it wasn’t 9:30. It was 9:26 and I get it’s close to 9:30 but she was extremely rude and I won’t be returning .
Stopped in for a Greek salad. Service was good, prompt, attentive. Food was fresh and delicious. Great choice for anyone wanting a good meal with nice surroundings.Highly recommend

This place is absolutely terrible, I came for Father’s Day 6/20/21 the wait was insane which I don’t normally mind, the lady told us 10 minutes and an hour later I was being seated. As I’m seated I wait more then 20 minutes before I have to walk up and ask where my waitress is. We finally get a waitress after the employees have been so rude, and she’s on drugs. You can clearly tell that this lady was totally out of her mind trying to take our order. She was so rude and wasnt polite in any way, shape or form. She then finished our order and we just see her standing there as still hasn’t even brought us drinks. This is the worst I have ever experienced in a restaurant. I’m truly not one to complain but this is insane and all disrespect she is getting a .20 cent tip for this.
I got a wrap- the chicken was very dry & chewy. I had to send it back. Wont be going back.

Food wasnt bad but the server had the personality of a sloth. Anyone that would hire our waiter as a server or in fact in any position that interacts with other people, has to have everything questioned. My wife and i were looking for the cameras to see if we were on a tv show.
We are on a short weekend getaway without a clue of anything in the area so this was a spontaneous stop...and we could not have been happier. The waitress was incredibly considerate an the food was very good. If you are in the area and in the mood for diner food, this is as good or better place to stop as anywhere we have found so far.

Well that was terrible. Asked for almost burnt bacon and well done home fries. Let’s just say, I got neither. It took forever to get coffee snd then when everyone was eating their food, we still waited.I know they are short staffed, and I tried to be patient. This was ridiculous! We won’t be back!I just think if you ask for certain things, and have to wait so long to get it, it should be what you wanted.

It was good overall. Waitress was nice and fast. The food was pretty good.. however.. we have come here multiple times in the last two months and everytime we order the same meal AND EVERYTIME it comes to the table differently. Sometimes in a smaller portion, sometimes in a large one, sometimes with or without things that it supposedly comes with. Not very consistent. but it was still delicious. Lol

My son and law went there today because of covid he waited for 3 hours for his food. He was mad because they didn’t even have half of the fish that was on the menu. Plus he had order rice it was very nasty. It was hard and crunchy just like it was left over rice throwing in the microwave. Usually my family don’t go to crystal dinner in general. I would not even recommend this place to anyone. They gotten ever worse now

Nice, clean diner, good food and great service! Nice roomy tables with plenty of space in between! Inside, you stay 6 feet apart, and outside, there are tables inside a canopied cordoned-off space! You do have to pay a small basic gratuity, though, on your final bill, but otherwise, a decent diner!
The food was ok, service was good. Saw people get up after eating lunch,they received the check and left. A man took the dirty dishes off the table and DID NOT CLEAN THE TABLE. HE JUST PUT NEW PAPER MATS AND SILVERWARE. So when you sit down at a table in this place your sitting at a dirty table that was not sanitized. I went to pay the bill and charged 4% ON THE BILL FOR USING THERE CREDIT CARD MACHINE. Other Diners clean the table and chairs when people leave. If you go to this place wear a hazmat suit.
Good food great service. Fast and economical
Passing through this morning. We were greeted by the friendliest waitress ever. We.sat outside..ordered breakfast....everything was served in disposable containers. Very safe and sanitary. Food was delicious. The waitress went above and beyond to accommodate us. Left feeling very satisfied.
