Every costume company goes through ups and downs but the past few seasons CG has redeemed themselves with me. I had a great rep, was notified when my costumes dates were changing and was found replacements and appreciated the transparency and honesty. I didnt have any issues but I also always order early. They have great costumes and quality and some of the best selection. Was pleasantly surprised this season and will continue to order.

We ordered back in april 2020 and there was a back order so with covid and the costumes still not available we canceled our order. We were told they will refund us. 3 months later we called and they said it was in the process. We called two months later, same answer. We called again same thing. It’s been over a year now. We called and a supervisor said we are trying not to close doors here! Are you kidding me!!! EVeryone tried due to covid! But for them to take my money and never even had the costumes is just wrong! Horrible!

2020 has been quite a year for my studio. Canceled shows, shut downs and kids outgrowing costumes. Its been a mess! I have had some troubles with getting my costumes from this company in the past but they really pulled through for me this year. When my costumes became unavailable, the customer service rep Dana spent almost 2 hours on the phone with me moving around my classes and making sure I was able to costume all of my students. She made sure that all of the new costumes would ship that same week and they did! Good quality costumes and amazing people working there now. I hope they can keep this up because their costumes are so beautiful. Heres to hoping they really turned themselves around!

Costume Gallery has really nice designs and reasonable prices, which means a lot to our studio families. We strive to make dance available to everyone in our area and many of Costume Galleries options help make this possible. The home office is located in our town, which makes it quite easy for communication between myself and customer service.

I have been EXTREMEMLY disappointed with Costume Gallery, which is a shame, because the costumes we have received from them in the past were well made and of good quality. However we placed an order in January of 2020, and as of today (April 27th, 2021) we still have not received our costumes or a refund. Knowing that COVID caused a lot of problems, we extended a lot of grace and patience in our talks with them throughout last year. But now this is ridiculous. I was able to speak with a manager in January of 2021, and she said Id get a refund check within 6 weeks, but it never came. I have not been able to get them to return my calls ever since. They owe us $1,306, and it is absolutely unacceptable that it has been 15 months and we still have not seen that refund.

Costumers are on hold for a very long time just to get their requests denied. I will NEVER use this company again. I needed costumes at the beginning of May and it is now June. I understand that COVID-19 backed everything up, but they refused to cancel my order even though it hasnt shipped and it is a month past when it was needed. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

This is the worst costume experience that I have had in my entire career of over 30 years! The customer service is awful. First you tried to substitute SMALLER costumes for a size that you admitted to overselling. Then we have been given the runaround for 2 months over the shipment of 3 other items that will now ship AFTER the recital. This company should change their refund policy. I do not want a credit for the items. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! I have to use the money to buy from somewhere else. It has been your ineptitude and mistake. Not mine. No . You are extorting me into working with you again next year so that I use my credits.Never again.

They have owed me a refund for costumes they couldn’t deliver in time since last August. They’ve had the money since December of 2019. I have had issues for at least the past three years and they are incredibly difficult to deal with if you experience any problems with your order.

I ordered costumes in January with a delivery date for March. Given the pandemic I was not expecting our costumes with the date promisedHOWEVER I am planning a virtual recital. It is now June.Every other costume company. After sitting on hold for hours upon hours, being hung up on, also finding out that they have caller ID and knew I was the one calling, also being told I’d get return calls this company somehow has my costumes at LAX per the shipping company, I’m in PA wondering how my costumes even ended up at LAX. I got a call from the shipper not the costume company who wants to now send me their leftovers from their warehouse for our show Friday 7/10/20 & since I declined because I am demanding a refund AND my originally ordered costumes they are claiming the blame is not theirs. I ordered costumes May 28th 2020 per their site my costumes should have shipped by June 23rd. These kids deserve their costumes and their parents deserve a refund. Their Customer service is so passive aggressive not even acknowledging the fact that I’m upset for my students. Will NEVER use again and I do NOT recommend! Period! Unacceptable!

This company has Beautiful costumes...if you can actually get them on time. This is the 3rd year that my daughters dance school has used this company with issues. This year her ballet class has no Costumes due to their neglectful nature. The instructors have been giving the run around, being told they would have their costumes in the beginning if February. Its now March, and still no costumes. We have pictures coming up, dress rehearsal and the big show, and NO Costumes. It gets better, and by that I mean worse. Costume gallery has pushed back the costume delivery til the first week if april, which is after recital day. We were saved by another company, and have received new costumes last week. This place is a joke and should just he shut down. Customer service is everything, and you guys are not only missing the bar there, but you cant even deliver on the products you offer. How are you still in business?? Word to the wise, if you need recital costumes, shop anywhere but here.

Like others I feel Costume Gallery has beautiful costumes, but I also did not receive costumes in time for my recital. I ordered in December and my recital was in May. In the weeks leading up to the recital (Had already missed picture day) my rep kept telling me they would be shipped. Two days before recital, even though I had kept emailing and questioning them) I had to rush order costumes for an entire class from another company. My costumes finally arrived A MONTH AFTER MY SHOW! I have tried to contact them to return them or get a credit and have gotten no response. Needless to say I will never order from them again.

I had a family of 4 students, their car was broken into just a few weeks away from our Recital. I gave this family no hope, and I myself was certainly thinking they were not going to be able to participate in the recital this year. Costume Gallery went above and beyond; they replace all of the costumes, it will be ship on time for their recital, and they picked up the cost of the replacement for this family! That was so amazing, and so caring… ! They may be going through a rough patch, but we all had at some point in our own companies as well…This act of kindness definitely shows me what Costume Gallery is really about; We’ve been working with them for many years, and this is one of the reasons we continue to work with them!

We have ordered from Costume Gallery for 25 years. This year has been a nightmare! Ordered costume in early January with an estimated ship date of May 1 which was a little late but still ok for my time frame. Emailed the first week of May and was told there was a delay but they would ship May 14. I was still ok. They did not arrive, so I waited a couple of days and called. After being on hold for 35 minutes, I was told the delivery date was June 14. I told them that was totally unacceptable, I had to have them by May 31. The customer service representative finally; after me asking multiple times what they were going to do to get me the costumes and why they never contacted me to let me know there was a problem, contacted the factory and assured me I would have them by May 31. May 31 arrived, no costumes! I call again there is a problem with one of the sizes. I have pictures in 2 days!! “ We check and will call you back with status in a little while”. No call! Now they are closed—can’t leave message mailbox full. No costumes for pictures they will arrive the following day! I will never use this company again! No apologies, no offer to compensate for the problems they caused me. They made me look bad to my students and their parents. Terrible customer service !!!

If I could give negative stars, I would! I have been ordering from Costume Gallery for 20 years. The last couple of years have been terrible working with them. When I call, I wait on hold over an hour and never get through to a customer service representative. I ordered in January and paid in full, today is May 22 and I still have not received all the costumes I ordered. When I email asking why my costumes have not arrived yet, they let me know they are not available. It is strange that they do not notify me that they are not available as soon as they find out so I can make other arrangements. They have taken my money, but fail to let me know they do not have the costumes I need. Save yourself the stress, and do not order from this company. Their customer service is terrible and I have been left scrambling many times this year with several different styles I ordered.

Again I did not get costumes in time for pictures - no customer service, I have to leave a message and hope they call me back the next day which they havent. I actually got a pair of leggings this year that I did NOT order instead of a shirt that I did order. Never again would I order anything from them.

This year we are BURNING that costume catalog. They have been horrible for years , but last year was the worst. They discontinued costumes after we ordered them, we had to change so many costumes last minute and it was stressful. Customer service was laughable smh, never again. DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!! THEYRE A NIGHTMARE! The studio I work for has had nothing but problems with this company. First they promised wed have our costumes in November. The date we were supposed to receive them came and went and we found out they hadnt even shipped yet. We kept getting the run around with customer service and finally told them to cancel all our orders and refund the money because nothing would arrive in time for our Winter Recital. Not only did they not refund all the money, they still sent us an order of costumes. When we tried to get on our account to see what happened, we were informed that our account had been deactivated. I waited on hold for hours to try and get our money back and still had to deal with incompitent and unhelpful customer service reps. It was ridiculous! We will NEVER use this company ever again.

Worst customer service out of all the costume supplier we deal with. Had the same trouble last year and unfortunately ordered again. Today (1/23/19) makes the second day that the phone numbers provided dont even ring. I was on the chat waiting for over an hour. Makes me wonder how they are still in business or maybe theyre not and havent told anyone yet.

We have had a similar experience this year. We ordered costumes in January. We havent even received some of the items yet, and we are trying to exchange one that is way too large for a smaller size. We did get an e-mail response regarding one exchange, but we cannot get anyone to provide us with an order status! We will not be ordering from costume gallery next year. Hopefully they can use that time to figure out their stuff.

I am appalled by the way I have been treated by this company. We now have to replace 5 classes total and still haven’t received a refund to cover the new costumes we ordered. I am beyond frustrated and now inconvenienced with having to purchase new costumes without a refund from Costume Gallery.I will be filing a BBB complaint as well contacting my attorney to pursue this!

Ordered many costumes November 12th. Promised the costumes December 15th. End of March are missing over $500 worth of costumes and several others had to take different sizes just to have for competition early March . Two girls had to cancel competition and one wear something else to compete. Many hours on the phone. Promised the refund March 27th and still do not have anything to reimburse our school! DO NO ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! We (Grace Dance Center) ordered our costumes in November with guaranteed ship dates to receive by 2/28/19. We called for weeks trying to check on our order, but they dont answer the phones and dont answer emails. Their Face Book page is blown up with complaints from other studios who have not received their costumes either.After hours of wait time, I finally got through to someone who gave me a ship date which turned out to be untrue ... still no costumes. We waited on hold for hours with no answer, I dont know how they stay in business. We will never buy products from them again. Our experience this year has been horrible. No one answers the phone, returns phone messages or answers emails. I cannot begin to explain the amount of frustration we have experienced. They Have a major problem! Orders that we placed that were in stock or clearance did not ship for two months(after I called?) Costumes we were supposed to have a month are ago no where to be found? I wait on the phone to speak with someone if it does not go immediately through to voice mail, five times I have waited over two hours still no one knows what is going on! No reply to any of the emails or voice messages I have sent. I have a show in five days and still dont have one class of my babies costumes. Not to mention two others that are needed a week later !!! Oir pictures have been out for ages !! ordering from Weissmans and paying overnight delivery cant wait anymore!!!!!

We have used this company for years and always liked them but this year they were terrible!!! And Ive read a lot of reviews from a ton of other people saying they were awful for their studios as well. All the costumes were late, they were falling apart or seen wrong, and some costumes they didnt have the correct sizes. We will NEVER use them again!
