Great produce in season, but can someone please tell me why I see these Save Medlyn Farm signs all over the place? Save it from what?

The best tomatoes I, being European , ever tried in US..Sweet and fleshy, the way a tomato needs to be. Most of the time I find only sour and watery regardless of the price I pay, but not at Medlyn Farms! Thank you, Mr. Farmer!
