I was visiting family and 500 miles from home when my 2010 Forrester started making a grinding noise. My sister said a neighbor highly recommended Wrenchrite so I game them a call, they didn’t know me but were able to repair the rear wheel bearings and get me on my way in one day. I can’t speak highly enough of their service and knowledge of Subaru’s.

I bought my first subaru this month and was having an issue with it. I walked into this place with no appointment and they were able to look at my car about 45 minutes after I showed up (I would consider this good since I had no appointment and they were clearly busy). The women at the desk was very nice and pleasant and the mechanic that looked at my car knew his stuff. He was able to tell me what was wrong and was willing to take the time to answer all my questions. I decided to sell the car as it needed major repairs so I cannot comment from personal experience on repairs from this shop, but I would expect that the experience would be great. There shop looked good and the mechanic seemed super knowledgeable. If I ever need a Subaru repair I will definitely try this place. Their prices for common subaru repairs are also very competitive. Hope this helps anyone looking for a Subaru mechanic. Thank you WrenchRite for your time! Also they have a very friendly shop dog which is a plus in my book.

These guys truly know their Subarus. We take our 2007 Forester to them and their knowledge and attention to detail is amazing. They are not the cheapest around but Id rather pay a bit more and have it fixed right on the first try.

Joel, Jennifer and the team at Wrenchrite are professional and wonderful individuals. Almost two years ago I went in to have my head gaskets repaired and just recently I came back to have my heater core repaired. While my car was in their shop, they gave me a loaner car which ran perfectly. Also I want to mention the work ethic that Joel has. His work ethic is unmatched and I am blessed to know him and trust him with my car. Jennifer is so kind and so helpful with all of my needs and my fifteen million questions. I made the right investment with them when it comes to my car. If you have a Subaru, dont spend all that extra money at a dealership getting your car fixed. Please go to Wrenchrite I promise you will not regret. I will back up this business any day of the week, that is how wonderful and extraordinary they are. Thank you Joel, Jennifer and the whole team. My car runs smoothly and it feels brand new! Please give them your business, it is worth it!

Vehicle was towed into this Facility on Thursday Jan. 7th, 2021, Before towing the vehicle to the repair shop I alerted them exactly of what needed to be fixed therefore no diagnosis was needed.. After a few days I received a call from the dealership alerting me that they were looking into my issue.. At this time no consent was given to begin repairing the car and no prices were agreed upon with the shop. I then receive a call telling me my car was repaired again with no authorization from me.. So I then proceed to ask the price for this repair and labor.. I was advised that the part and labor would run be $50 for the part needed to repair the car and $365 for the labor .. With me not having knowledge on vehicle repairs I paid in cash for the repair and then consulted with my local ASE Certified Master Tech. I told him that the price was too high and he then agreed stating a job like that would only take 1 and a half hours.. After reaching back out to the repair shop they agreed to give me back $75 towards the labor cost.. I then asked to see a detailed print out of the supposed invoice and the owner of the shop refused to give stating I am too busy, I dont get paid for how fast I do my work I get paid what the average time is at this point the owner then goes onto say that he can give me a full refund and put my car back into the state it was in In less than an hour if I wanted.. I declined this offer telling him I just wanted an honest list of the work and labor hours put into my car.. DMV complaint filed.

The staff at WrenchRite is truly professional. Dropped off my 2016 WRX to get a Southbend Clutch Stage 2 Endurance, Versus Fork, Pin, OEM TOB and Flywheel installed today. Dropped off at 9AM got a call around 3:30 car was all set. Went to pick up and met Joel. Very personable, great conversation and the passion he has for cars really shows! They did an awesome job on my clutch and if I ever need any work done I will visit them again. The prices are incredibly reasonable because they know their Subies in and out. It is extremely difficult to find honest and knowledgeable mechanics and having a neighborhood favorite is a must. If you have a Subie that needs work see Joel and dont look back. Thanks Joel & staff!

I bought a car from Joel today, and despite multiple hurdles, I would say that dealing with him, and his super-patient/ efficient front-office mechanic, Jennifer, has been the best car buying experience Ive ever had. I also feel completely confident that the car I bought is solid and was a good deal. Thus far, Id recommend WrenchRite to anyone.

Bought a 2011 Outback in 2017 with 151,000 miles brought it to Joel and his team they tell you what needs to be fixed now, and what you can put off; they are very respectful of the need to be cautious with spending on repairs. They guide you through keeping your Subaru on the road for lots and lots of miles, mine is up to 203,000. They are a great team!I would not bring a Subaru anywhere else whether you just need an oil change or a head gasket job Joel and his team are super nice and total professionals.

Ive waited a few months to post a review for WrenchRite, just to make sure everything turned out OK...Well, everything has turned out just fine! Joel and I did business completely over the phone, as I was referred to him from a mutual acquaintance. I live in RI, and we drove our 2012 Forester down to Joels shop on Memorial Day weekend, and dropped it off. Joel contacted me directly, told me what I already expected to hear about the needed repairs (nothing more, nothing less), and made the repairs that week. Spoke with Joel after the repairs were done, and he freely gave me great advice on what to watch out for down the road.We drove down to pick the car up that next weekend, and it has driven perfectly since.Professional, courteous, timely, reasonable. Thats how I would describe WrenchRite and Joel. Will not hesitate to bring our Subarus to this fine shop again when needed,Cheers,Dave

Not good experiencegasketYour company changed the head gasket on my 2008 Subaru Outback. I came as a referralfrom a customer in Branford and after you worked on my car it was still leaking. I had to bring it back and continued to have issues. I am happy to provide a receipt and proof of service.

My experience at Wrenchrite was phenomenal. Jennifer and Joel were very accommodating and I’m extremely happy with the work that was done to my WRX (catback exhaust install). I recommend this shop to any Subaru owner looking for maintenance or repairs over the local Subaru dealership!

Great guy, great service and great prices. When I was installing the trailer hitch on my 2003 Subaru Forester the muffler snapped at the flange with the mid pipe and I didnt have the tools to fix it (no welder) - I brought it to WrenchRite and he had it back on there good as new in about 30 minutes. He also explained to me a problem with my oil filter ring seal which I had not noticed and explained how to fix it. Some shops would just do it and slap it on the bill but instead he was very professional and gave me the heads up so I could do it myself.

Never wrote a review, but since this is how I found and decided to bring my 2009 Subaru in from Stamford for head gasket and timing belt replacement, kudos will be written. I came to Joels team as a total stranger and was treated with the utmost decency. Brought the car in on Thursday, had it back on Friday just as I was told. I was given a loaner vehicle and a $50.00 coupon credit without asking. My car runs great and Im very grateful for their service and treatment. The dreaded head gasket leak has restored my faith in humanity. Thank you Joel, Jennifer, Tim, the guy who talked to me out in the rain when I was leaving, and especially your parents who raised you all right.

I purchased a 2005 Forester from Joel in 2/2016. Im a car guy and I have to tell you this purchase was of the best experiences Ive ever had buying or having a car repaired. I saw the vehicle on his lot late on a Thursday night and texted Joel that night. He responded almost immediately, we talked quite a bit about the car via text and I went to see the car the next morning. The car was exactly as he described at a very fair price. I asked him about some of the common maintenance items with Subaru and he told me he would perform them before I purchased. I picked the car up on a Sunday morning. All the work was done just as Joel had promised. I came away with a quality used car from a trustworthy guy who you can tell takes pride in his work, and knows Subarus inside and out.

Terrible experience. Would NOT recommend. I brought my car in to be fixed and received one call from Joel, the owner, telling me he didnt know what the problem was. I explained briefly that it felt like an issue Id had before. He hung up to continue to investigate. Next call was to say the car was ready and that it would be nearly $400. No call to tell me what the issue was, or to ask permission to move forward...just the assumption that doing a service that expensive without my permission was what I wanted. Oh and on top of this, the work they did didnt fix the problem. I had to drive all the way home (was visiting CT) and get my mechanic to do the work that would solve the problem. In an effort to get me out of the shop when I voiced concern about work being done without authorization or any type of communication with me, Joel offered to undo everything and put my old parts back in...knowing this was not an option for me as I was from out of town, his shop was closed all weekend and that I had to be back home on Monday. WrenchRite still refuses to remedy the situation. His only attempt was an offer to pay for the work that Id had done by MY mechanic when I returned home...THAT work was a mere fraction of the price that I paid for what Joel did... work that didnt solve the problem and that he was never authorized to do. STAY AWAY!

Very pleased with the service. My 2009 Subaru forester had an oil leak near the cylinder head. I feared the worst and thought I needed a head gasket... at least thats what consensus was according to the stuff I read on the web. So I was especially pleased when Joel, the owner, told me that it was only a valve cover gasket leak, a simple and inexpensive fix. That was my first experience with Wrenchrite. After that , brought in my wifes Subaru legacy in for a brake issue. It was repaired quickly and at much less cost that the subaru dealer. I would recommend this subaru service to anyone.
