Knotty Pine Bakery was just the best! They gave us lots of options to choose from to make sure our wedding cake and cupcakes were just perfect, and they were! Everything looked so beautiful and tasted so good! I highly recommend using them for all of your Bakery needs!

I planned a surprise birthday party for my mom and needed to find vegan bumbleberry pie for dessert, which is her favorite. I live in Oregon so did everything via phone and email. I found Knotty Pine online, and after communicating with them and confirming that they could in fact veganize their hand pie, ordered hand pies in bumbleberry, strawberry-rhubarb and cherry, all vegan, without ever having tasted any of their products (I was a little nervous). The process was easy, communication was great, the hand pies were delivered on time and were delicious!! Could not have been happier and would definitely recommend this bakery. In fact, while Im still in town I plan to stop into their shop and try more pastries!!

Great bakery for birthday cakes and cupcakes. Worth every penny. Carrot cake cup cakes and Red Velvet cake were delicious. We will be bake for a visit the next time we are in town! Thank you!

Stopped in for a treat for a friend today. They had the most beautiful cookie cutouts for spring... sugar cookies with decorations that were outstanding! The place is so clean and shiny... a cup of coffee and treat at a delightful shop downtown! Worth the time to stop for sure! And her pies are AWESOME!

My first time in there today. Very cool atmosphere and very clean. Was a little disappointed in the selection of pastries. Didnt have what I thought a bakery shop should have. Pricing was ok. Had a coffee cake muffin and it was pretty good. I would give it a try and formulate your own opinion.

I am excited for this new business! Excellent potential! One star deduction from rating for 2 reasons:1) The chocolate chip cookies had walnuts in them, but were not labeled as with nuts. Since it was more a preference than an allergy, there was no crisis. I gave feedback, and they added it to the label.2) At 10am the stock of things was very minimal and they had run out of many things.These are obviously part of the growing pains of a new business, and I look forward to returning and revising my rating, hopefully to 5 stars.Suggestions: butter available (for rolls, muffins, etc.), a microwave to warm muffins and rolls (this is a cold climate, and having warm offerings will make the difference for us between going vs. Not going in cool months). Chocolate things aside from chocolate chip cookies, and if chocolate chip cookies are to remain, please offer with and without nuts, espresso/cappuccino

We hired Knotty Pine for our wedding in Lake Shore - we ordered tartlets, whoopie pies and a small cake for us to cut. Each dessert was magical and I wish I could eat them daily. I probably talk about the tartlets once a week, minimum. The strawberry rhubarb and cherry flavors were to die for! And how fun to offer your guests something other than wedding cake.Marie and her team dropped off the desserts on time, with rental items/cake stands, and picked up the cake stands the following day. Super efficient and very easy to work with their team! Marie is also fantastic with communication and quick to reply. Dont hesitate to book Knotty Pine for your next event!

Love this place! Such a cute addition to downtown Brainerd - much needed! The cake pops are my absolute favorite, along with the cupcakes!!! The space is very clean and well kept, and the staff are friendly and helpful! I like how they offer keto/gluten free options.

Cute place had a cronut with bacon. Sadly the bacon tasted like the leftovers from a few days back... the salted Carmel cronut was excellent so 4 stars cause the balance out.

My husband and I dropped in over a long weekend trip to Brainerd and had a great experience! I had a individual sized apple, pear, and cranberry pie that was exceptional. My husband enjoyed a cookies and cream cronut. Wonderful service and really cute, bright bakery setting. Would absolutely go back!

If you are on a diet I would stay away. Have not found a single thing that is not tasty.

Today I tried a knotty-o - it was a chocolate shortbread sandwich with a buttercream filling. So amazing. I cant stop thinking about how delicious it was!!! And gluten free. Cant wait to get back here for a coffee and cookie date with some friends. After reading other reviews I do think the pricing on Knotty Pines items were what I would expect from an artisan/ boutique /made from scratch bakery and certainly not expensive... The knotty-o was so good.

Oh mylanta! I usually dont like baked goods--I know I am an anomaly. But I had the bacon, maple kronut and it was soooo good. The offerings are a bit limited but what is available is so good. My kid loves it all! Do yourself a favor and go. Id add a pic but google wont let me. 😀

Incredible pie- you know the the kind with generous amounts of real fruit, and not overly sweet, with flaky buttery crust. I am a serious pie lover and this pie is fantastic...

I really wanted to like this place, and I’ve tried going twice. It’s expensive, the items are small and dry and the selection is minimal. I won’t be trying a third time anytime soon. Not sure where these 5 star ratings are coming from, but I think honesty about the product is more important that rating high because you know/like the business owner or because you’re a fellow business owner (not sure if that’s the case, I’m just saying). If I was visiting town or looking for a good place to spend my hard earned money, I would like an honest review. Things can’t improve without constructive criticism. Talking to other locals, I’ve heard much of the same. I think $28.50 for an 8 pack of mini sticky bus is pricey, that’s just my opinion.

Went in yesterday just before noon to buy an apple pie. There were zero whole pies of any kind available. I asked when is a good time to get whole pies the response I got was “hard to say”. Ok I get it, it’s hit or miss I guess. The place was very clean and nice. Bought a 6 pack of cupcakes, a small tin apple pie and an oatmeal cookie cream pie. The cookies were hard, I was expecting soft but they were still tasty and I was just expecting soft cookies. Not a huge deal. The small pie was so-so, nothing off the charts maybe it sat in the case too long? The cupcakes were bad. Super dry and crumbly. I spent like $24 and threw a cupcake away because it was that bad. My expectations were super high and I wanted the experience to be really good because I want them to succeed. I probably Won’t be back anytime soon. I was charged a premium for a substandard product.

Quite disappointed in my purchases. I purchased the chocolate raspberry cupcakes, virtually no raspberry taste in the frosting (also disappointed it wasn’t buttercream), the blueberry and lemon cake had a terrible aftertaste and ended up in the garbage. The shortbread cookie was good, but after spending 20.00, the only item eaten was the cookie. Disappointing and very expensive.

What can I say about the Knotty Pine Bakery besides it is LONG overdue for Brainerd & I’m excited.I came by around noon to find them almost out of everything, except for Chocolate Cupcakes & Blueberry Muffins. The cashier recommended I try the cupcakes.Now, I am usually not a fan of chocolate cupcakes, but DANG these were DELICIOUS! The icing was cream type fluff & the cake part was rich & moist—I am now most definitely a fan.The decor was beautiful & spacious—I love the color scheme. The live entertainment was not too loud & she sang Grand Ol Opry classics, which were perfect!I’m looking forward to trying the rest of their offerings, & will make sure I get there much earlier.

OMG!!! The owner is amazing!!! With a line out the door she still took the time to be personable!!!! Placed order for smash cake for my daughters bday and had to order the red velvet cupcakes!!! They are to die for!! Those a just a preview of what she can do!! Brainerd is definitely in store for awesomeness!!!! Have only been open since Tuesday and it was just her and her dad! Complete rockstar under pressure!! Cool calm and collected!!
