Jason and Richard replaced our old front door with an impact rated door. They worked well together, efficiently and the finished job was very nice. I would recommend them as well as Mr. Builds company

UPDATE: 7/7/21- Joe has still not returned the money I paid him to install windows which he has not installed. He underestimated the scope of work to be completed and signed a contract that simply says that he will install 7 windows and 2 sliding glass doors. His installers came out to do the job and said they were not provided enough information from Joe for them to install them. Then Joe insists on trying to charge me $600 for their time that they spent siting in their truck waiting for him to call them back and give them direction. I will now have to waste even more time taking Joe to small claims court because he refuses to refund my money and refuses to install the windows and doors as described in the scope of work. The solution he suggested is that he would still install them without any warranty and then if he can not get them to fit in the opening without removing stucco and drywall (a standard way of installing windows in a CMU wall) that he will just board them up with plywood and leave them. Some solution huh? I SERIOUSLY recommend you think twice before working with Joe. He does not understand how contracts work and he believes that once you pay him for initial work he has the right to keep that money whether he actually does any work or not. There are plenty of other window installers out there, do not take the risk in losing your time and money by working with Joe & Mr. Build and if you still choose to work with him do not give him any money upfront.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Joe came out to look at installing new windows that were already delivered to our project site. He did not take any measurements to confirm, just took our deposit and left. His install team came out that weekend and said to us that Joe had not given them enough information to do the job and that they would need to measure all our windows and openings. They decided they did not want to install them because it would involve removing stucco and drywall around the windows and they left. Joe then decide to charge $600 for their time which involved measuring 7 windows and installing none. Do not use Mr. build unless you want them to charge you and not finish any work.

UPDATE:I still have not received a refund of my deposit, however Joe has gone through many attempts to threaten me into signing his contract cancellation and paying him $600 for work that was never done. STEAR CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I work for a school in Lakewood Ranch and Mr Build replaced siding, doors and window for us on four modular classrooms. The team was professional and did excellent work. I would absolutely recommend Mr Build.

I used Mr. Build to install 10 hurricane resistance windows. The prices were very good and the quality of the installation was excellent. The installer was very professional, friendly and did outstanding work, cleaning up afterwards and presented a very professional attitude. When he was finished for the day, you could not tell he was even there.As well, he observed Covid 19 guidelines, wearing a mask whenever he was inside my home and I felt very comfortable in having to leave them in my home unattended as I felt they were extremely trustworthy.I would definitely use this company again in the future. My installers name was Chris and I would highly recommend him. Truly a gentleman and a top notch craftsman.

Mr. Build replaced 7 windows in our home. The installation was done incorrectly and thus have water damage on our sills and wall board. The water seeped thru the screw holes that were drilled by mistake with no screw in them. Over 8 years this has rotted the frame of the window On the inside.I have the guarantee of the windows.. All we asked was for a representative look at our situation to give us a solution as how to repair this..Mr. Build’s customer service is horrible...no help, no service rep, no solution. DO NOT TRUST this company . I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

Mr. Build did a great job on my hurricane shutter project. The job was done on time, the results are fantastic, and the shutters look great. In addition, the shutters are a great quality product that I am confident will do the job of protecting my home in the event of a major storm. The folks at Mr. Build were very responsive to my questions and concerns and they were always very professional and courteous. In addition, the office staff was also very professional, courteous and responsive. I would heartily recommend Mr. Build for any home project.

Just had my doors installed today and the installer was great. He was neat and clean and did an excellent job and the customer service department is also very efficient. I would recommend Mr. Build to anyone here in Sarasota where you can be easily promised the world but they don’t deliver. My. Build does all that and more. The doors are very good quality. Of course I’m happy with everything.

Mr. Build replaced our old windows in our 1909 home. He replaced them with high impact windows since we are in an area they are required. We were very pleased with the quote we were given. Everyone in the company that we interacted with was very professional. The installers were friendly, knowledgable and punctual. We were kept informed of everything that was happening. We liked them so much, they are now replacing our siding.

Mr Build wanted us to be satisfied and was constantly asking if we were. I had contacted 2 other companies and they came out to look at the job in a timely manner but never got back to me with a quote even after I called them again..Mr Build came out when they said he would, looked at what we wanted, measured and gave me a quote right then. I usually am not satisfied with work I hire but I am with Mr Build.

Overall experience was Very Good. We had all the windows replaced as well as shutters installed on the lanai - installers were very conscientious and took great care in making sure that the impact to the interior of the house was minimal. There were manufacturing defects on two of the windows that didnt get noticed until after they were installed - they were replaced later without question. Wouldve given 5 stars but had communication issues concerning the start date of the project and a couple of the window features were missed. Other than that would recommend this company for your hurricane protection needs.

Overall Job Well Done. Nice finish on inside and out, with sealing exterior to existing structure. Workers utilized floor covering and draped plastic sheets over furniture prior to starting. Minimal noise and delay before new window installed after old ones removed. Installers were polished pros in looks, behavior and communication. Adhered to start and stop schedule previously communicated. Only CONS, maybe some wall dings where paint touch-up needed. Workers cleaned-up with vacuum at end of each work day. Project: 7 impact windows, 2 days, 2 men, approximately 12 hours on-site.

Mr Build did a lanai enclosure for us with custom floor to ceiling sliding doors and sliding screened windows on the side. It is too good to be true. Joe, the owner, was so great to work with. He put huge effort into being sure the measurements were perfect and worked closely with our pool company to coordinate the two different projects. The installer was not just a nice fellow but clearly knew his business after many years of installing doors and windows. As with most construction projects things happen that effect the timing but Joe made every effort to keep me informed. At the end our new enclosed lanai is effectively a whole new room on our home and will be used year round. I would give Mr Build and Joe a 5 out of 5 rating.

I replaced single pane slider windows that rattled and leaked air. Mr, Build had previously replaced windows in the community. The window openings were measured and Hurricane windows installed. The windows were brown on the exterior as specified by the association. They were installed by a 2 man crew who were very clean. The finished job was seamless. I was very pleased with the quality of the windows and the fit and finish. They even sent a window washer out to clean the windows.

Mr. build just put new windows and the sliding glass door in my house in Englewood Florida.Spectacular job. The crew was excellent tarps were everywhere. They really knew what they were doing. I would recommend Mr. Build for everybody.

I hired Mr Build to install new windows and replace a lanai with a new room. Not only did Mr Build offer some great suggestions/ideas, the level of quality and service was exceptional. Mr Build has gone above and beyond in our home remodel. They brought our plans to life by completely transforming our screen porch into two new rooms of the house (270sqft). I wanted to avoid that converted feel and we got it. Youd hardly know it was done except for how it changed the whole living flow of the house. I wanted all glass and they delivered. Theres barely a few inches of wall in places over the entire 34 Feet! They added 9 windows and two doors that my friends always coment on their sturdiness. So Thrilled with the job youve done.
