We are very pleased with our new mattresses and the experience we had buying them. My husband has back and neck issues, so it was very important that he find a mattress with the best support and at the same time, being able to shift his position easily. At this family owned and operated store you will get the best help and advice from Bill, the owner or one of his daughters, who have studied with him. They are all very cordial, cooperative, and knowledgeable. After a trial time, we settled on the Camelia mattress which, we were told, is the culmination of the owners own study and experience with mattresses. We certainly would recommend Urban Mattress at any of its locations.

I had a great experience purchasing a mattress from Urban Mattress Boulder. I ordered over the phone and they were able to deliver in two days (during fall moving season!). It was delivered and unpackaged for free. Delivery was right in the middle of the time window and the deliverers called 15 minutes before arrival just like they said they would. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful. I took a risk and bought their Mesa verde mattress sight unseen it and it has been comfortable so far.

Really great experience buying a new bed from this store. The staff are very straightforward and easy to deal with; they just ask what youre looking for and how much you want to spend, and dont show you anything outside your price range. My experience with Urban Mattress was excellent. Given how expensive a good mattress is, my wife and I wanted to make sure that we found the perfect one. I know that I was in there on at least four or five different occasions, each time with a new question for Rich.As I reflect back on the process, I think we did our best to come up with a reason not to buy the mattress we eventually purchased. Nevertheless, Rich was patient and honest with us the whole time, and I feel confident that we got the best mattress we could have purchased at a great price.

Just purchased 3 mattress for my new home - couldnt be happier - and so were our guests!Prices are great, staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They also have a great selection of organic / green mattresses. Customer service cant be beat, our order was ready before we were able to move and they held them with no problem. The delivery service was great, one of the box springs delivered had a small tear, the delivery guys apologized and went back to their warehouse in Denver (I live in Boulder) to pick up a new one for us the same day. I initially got a mattress that was too firm and Eric was terrific about exchanging it for a different model. No extra cost to deliver to Nederland (twice!) and the guys were on time, quick and professional.I ran the mattress store gantlet doing research before buying, visiting 9-10 places. I found UMB was the most customer friendly of the group. After having back pain for a year, I finally bit the bullet and invested in my sleep quality with new mattress. Their product is more expensive but of much better quality and ultimately the 15 year no sag warranty sold me. After a month sleeping on it, I am extremely happy with this purchase and my buying experience. I will be buying from them again for our guest room. Best mattress place around. Loved the relaxed atmosphere, the huge selection and fact that its a LOCAL business. The mattresses are made in Denver and the prices are much cheaper than Mattress Firm...for better quality. Wow! Everyone should go here!

They sell bed in a box. If you saw the commercial where they claim to be different than the bed in a box companies, that is misleading. The beds are rolled up and compressed, its wrapped in plastic not in a cardboard box but its the same concept, the mattress is compressed to small size for shipping. The delivery guys dropped the rolled up bed on the floor and I had to cut open the plastic and let the bed expand and then dispose of the plastic wrapping.The mattress is much hotter than our previous. The firmness is very nice, but because it is a bed in a box Im very concerned it wont stay that way.We spent a lot of money on the mattress and we were very disappointed to see that it is in fact a bed in box style mattress when we thought we were buying a mattress that could not be compressed. I was also disappointed with how hot the mattress is. So far, I am happy with the firmness.

The bed surpasses our expectations.We found all of the sales people to be extremely knowledgeable, informative and helpful about the many options offer. We were searching for a clean, green mattress, with no out-gassing, sustainably grown and/or made with organic and wool features. He printed me out a quote sheet so that I could think about my choices - again, there was no pressure to buy something immediately without fully considering my options.The friendly staff, the low pressure approach, and quality options were all major positives. I am a big fan of Tempur-Pedic mattresses (so Im an easy sell), but its my mothers money and there are other places where we can buy a Tempur-Pedic mattress. Josh was so patient, polite and helpful to my mother, and sadly not everyone treats senior citizens so respectfully--showing no patronization.
