Safeway was cool. Got alot of food in there and what not. When oh when will we achieve the technology for me to use a backpack as a grocery bag without confounding the scale they got on that self check out. The planet is doomed if we cant even nail this simple contraption, doomed.

Great customer service. I was looking around near the front of the store for a Oxygen canister display. An employee named Annette asked to wait will she searched as it had been moved near pharmacy. She came back and led me to it. I noticed she had a bag and asked if she was coming to work. She said no, that she was just leaving after being there since 4AM. It was around 1:30 PM, I think.I told her she was the employee of the week in my mind. I think her name was Annette. Outstanding customer service that should be recognized. My first time there, but I will come back.

Love this Safeway. Employees are always so friendly and welcoming, especially the ones that have been there for years in both the store and pharmacy.

One of the cleanest supermarkets I have ever been into in my entire life. People who work there in my experience, have always been kind and helpful.

As I entered Safeway, I found it have a nice entry way. There were signs indicating that the baskets were cleaned and sanitized. People who are vaccinated need not wear a mask. Safeway is well laid out, clean and the associates were friendly.

The supermarket is well stocked and clean. They were even power washing the entrance! Nice to see it being cleaned.

Friendly staff and good selection. Pricing is a bit high but that is Boulder for you. Still a great spot to resupply and get groceries.

This Safeway has some of the nicest people working for it. Special shout out to the manager who recommended the Mango Habanero Chicken and the nice guy behind the chicken counter. I am going to be here more often because of you two.

The store itself (except the bathrooms) seemed to be clean and well-stocked. Most of the staff people were friendly and helpful.Our visit here did leave a bitter taste in our mouths. As soon as we walked through the door, my boyfriend was putting his jacket on and he hadnt reached for his mask yet. The Starbucks employee (which we later learned was a manager as well) asked my boyfriend if he had a mask. That Starbucks wasnt busy at all when we walked in.What made me mention this is what followed. I really needed to use the bathroom but it was locked and the sign said to call a manger to unlock it. We asked the Meat Department employee if he can call someone and he was happy to walk to the front and do so for us. About 10 minutes passed and no one came. My boyfriend went to the front and asked someone again to call a manager, they did. 10 minutes later and I was still waiting. Then I heard a 3rd call for the manager to unlock the bathrooms door then two other people showed up for the bathroom as well. They were the ones who had a manager called to unlock the restroom door the 3rd time. My boyfriend had been picking up the items we needed while I was waiting and when he was done, we were all still waiting. He went for a final time to the front and walked back with that same Starbucks employee who turned out to be the one who had a key to the bathrooms all along.When I walked into the bathroom, it was dirty, smelled, and in bad shape.Thank you to the staff that called the manager to unlock the door for us over and over again. The lady who ran the Starbucks booth, good luck. I hope that next time you pay attention to the bathroom call as much as who walked in not muzzling their face right away.

Nightmare grocery store, the layout is so horrible. Grocery stores usually have a familiar layout so you have an idea where things are, not at this store. Couldnt find any chewing gum because its not where the candy is, duh, its spread across the store. Freezer section is dead center of the store for whatever reason. Just a pain to find something generally. Consider using the location for a scavenger hunt with friends, hours of potential.

Another store with poor customer service.The cashier (Sarah) that checked out my items was just plain rude. She tossed my items after ringing me up then threw the receipt at me. I guess if I gave her a reason I MIGHT understand.This is not acceptable! Im so sick of rude individuals working customer service.I really hope this is addressed as I have other places I can shop without being treated like garbage.

Theyd rather you defecate yourself shopping here than unlock the bathroom for you. Heaven forbid you have to go to the bathroom while shopping. I was here this past Thursday and was treated so terribly by an older lady stocking shelves, for asking to use the restroom, that I decided to shop elsewhere. Come to find out later that this same lady interrogated my partner for asking to use the restroom while picking up some snacks. Since coming to the area weve been buying all our groceries at this location for the past month, after this experience we will never be going to this location nor any other Safeway ever again.

Was refused service because I arrived 10 minutes before close, the man at the door was very rude when I told him that I only needed one item and refused to talk to me. Drove to Safeway across town and they let me in even though they closed in less than 5 minutes. Seems like a bad place

Store seems to be nice and clean, most people are college kids but its still in a neighbor hood with others. I have to go elsewhere to find alot of my big cooking needs, or home cooking needs.

Nice place to shop nice there very clean store

We were charged for an extra item (1 more box of La Croix than we had) and were denied a refund over the phone. We were told we would have to come back to the store to get our money back. Does this seem wrong to anyone else? Why should we have to put the work in to compensate for someone else’s mistake? Why can the manager not use the REF and AUTH number on my receipt to put the extra charge back on my card? If small businesses on Etsy can do this, surely a large company like Safeway can, too. The manager was not at all apologetic and offered absolutely nothing to us, not even an apology. Needless to say but I am incredibly dissatisfied and angry at the poor service that we’ve experienced at Safeway.

I had purchased a brand of dishwasher soap I had never used but it was the only one available besides bulk sizes which would take a long-time to use since I only run the dishwasher once a week. You were so kind and I really appreciate your help and how well you knew your job. Wow!To all the other employees, this location is great! For example, there have been many employees that exhausted from sleep, school, work, or whatnot and yet they still went out of their way to smile and say hi. Thats cool! And not just to me, but to the customers they were checking out as well. I was an employee of the hospitality/service industry for 22 years and can definitely say that yall are great. Thank you!Note: Hard workers know how to push through the toughest of days! During this time of social distancing even the smallest smiles and/or hellos are really big for us all. Thank you all for truly caring! Its the people who care in this world that will do great things as we evolve and move forward past the pandemic.

Was at the doors at 10min til 11pm and the doors were locked. I worked for the company for 10 years and NEVER was this our policy. The most you could do was make announcements of the closing. You cannot lock a business doors during hours of operation not only is it a fire hazard but its unprofessional and inconsiderate. There were 4 of us that tried to get in and 3 after I was back in my car. I knew what I needed and where it was, I would have been in and out in two minutes. I come to this store because its close to work but Id be happy to take my business elsewhere since this place obviously doesnt want it.

Wouldnt recommend ever going here. Employee was clearly sick while helping with self-checkout and in the midst of covid, there should have been policies in place for employees displaying covid-like symptoms like a constant dry cough from working. Quite dangerous for both employees and customers when staff feel like they need to work when clearly sick. Safeway should take a greater interest in their employees well being and health.

I asked a store manager if he could do something about the wild raccoons stealing items from my cart, and he simply said, as he coughed out weed smoke, live and let live, brah.The $20 value pack of assorted meats is a really good deal, though.

Came in there last night to get some groceries and all the regular checkout lanes were closed. The only way to purchase groceries was to use the self checkout lanes which are closer than 6 feet to each other. This place could be the next hot spot. Id stay away if possible.

Im not sure why this Safeway is rated so low, but its pretty much the same as any other Safeway. The produce here isnt as great as the Safeways in California, but maybe thats not a fair comparison. I grabbed some vegetables and fruits, and they had salmon at $6/pound on sale! That was pretty great. The strawberries I got were hard but they didnt have much flavor. Good amount of parking and I like the self checkout!

This safeway has stocking issues. Whoever does it never buys cilantro, garlic, and fresh basil. I go about twice a week, and have never seen cilantro. The upside to this place, is it has a lot of Mexican and Japanese food selections.

One of the best Safeways I have visited. The staff is very nice and helpful. Everything is usually well stocked and organized. Prices are good all around with regular deals. They have lots of self-checkout lanes which are usually open and working. There is a bakery, Starbucks, pharmacy and deli at this location.

Clean, pretty empty but check out was a bit rushed.

Why did stores decide people no longer need to use the restroom when COVID happened? Plumbers, electricians and other folks that work out and about rely on businesses restrooms, I’ll make sure to avoid this store in the future and won’t stop to pick up lunch again.

Pretty standard safeway small to medium sized store. Very targeted towards specific type of customer, more health orienting foods and goods. Typical of Boulder

Employees are very rude and judgemental towards the less fortunate customer service is better at every other location in Boulder no matter the fact they never clean the restrooms.

Went in to buy a few things. When at the self check out one of the clerks named Victor couldnt stopping eyeing down my wife. After we left my wife said she had never been checked out so badly without saying we will never go back to that store. Thanks Victor.

This is my favorite Safeway to go to! The manager, George, makes everyones shopping experience better. His announcements over the intercom are informative and funny. I look forward to seeing him when I go there. Jack and Jeff are awesome too.

Good reliable fast service love it

This has been my default shopping option for a while now you can find all the necessities for a grocery store and there will generally be some good sales as well. I would definitely reccomend this place if you are looking for a quick stop to get all your groceries for the week. There was good produce as well.

Usually well stocked and easy to find everything. My rating reflects the relatively high good prices for the area.

Decent grocery store with plenty of parking and nestled in a shopping center conveinent for university students. A generous deli and hot food section is perfect for grab and go customers. Organic produce department provides plenty of options.

I understand that last minute shopping on Christmas Eve is stressful, but the hours were listed to be open until 7. I get there just before 6:30 and there were a ton of people outside wanted to get in. The manager locked the door right in front of them. And it wasn’t 7 PM yet. Again, I understand holiday shopping has different hours, but I found that to be super unprofessional.

This Safeway off Arapahoe is alright. I actually went there to go to Quest Diagnostics inside for a blood draw....Louisville has a way better produce selection.

It gets the job done. Basically like any other grocery store. Obviously because its in Boulder you should bring your own bags or they will make you pay for the plastic ones.

This Safeway is super unreliable... they are out of basic stuff way too often

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I was recently in this Safeway looking for a few things like a mad man given I am not familiar with this Safeway as I am not local to Boulder. Larry guided me in the right direction and was as helpful and polite as they come! I ended up at Larrys checkout stand which furthered my experience here! Larry was the best and certainly made my experience the best it could of been.

The manager on duty was a racist when I went to this supermarket that day. He likes to stare at people who are not white. I strongly recommends not to go to this supermarket.
