Delicious pastries! We heard about this little joint while hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. Coffee was equally excellent, it was such a neat little location, both inside and outside seating. Attached was a cute bookstore. Such a great spot, highly recommend this spot! No pets allowed though!

My favorite and I have tried them all as a digital nomad and local photographer. The coffee is tops, and the place is owned by many of the staff to make this a truly community place. The tables out front give it a European feel and the secret garden out back is magical.

A charming bookstore/Cafe, with one of the best lattes Ive had in a while! The interior has small tables lining the walls -- enough for the comforting camaraderie of a cafe but not so many it feels crowded. Same with the patio out back. The music and humm of conversation complete the atmosphere. Overall a lovely place to work for a while, or to meet a friend!

So great to be back working in cafes again, and what a great place to do so! Ive shopped at the bookstore before (a small but well-curated selection of new and beautiful used books), but today was my first time working in the cafe next door. The seats were comfortable and perfect for my work, my Bhakti chai latte was delicious, and I got a huge amount of work done on my dissertation chapter that Ive been struggling with all month. I will definitely be back!

I never write bad reviews - I just dont go back. But tonight was different. Ive been to this cute coffee shop several times and have had a good experience. Tonight my husband and I went in at 8:30 and when we placed our order the girl at the counter said we close at 9pm. We were fine with that since we drink coffee too fast and dont like to stay out late. We were finished at 8:55 but the shop had about 10 other clients so we just talked. At 9PM sharp the staff blasted head banger music so loud we couldnt hear ourselves think. The staff was very pleased with themselves as they were smiling at each other. My calm state turned into stress. The staffs strategy worked - we headed for the door fast and we will never be back.

Cozy, funky little bookstore with a coffee/tea bar, a wine bar and a beer bar. Ive only tried the coffee, and they have some of the best coffee drinks that I have every had, served in generous portions in glasses, not disposable cups. Their back patio is spacious and mostly shaded. A lovely place to browse the bookshelves, or just sit and relax in pleasant surroundings.

Really nice atmosphere and super cute outdoor space. Good coffee and pastries. Only reason for not having a 5-star review is because all the staff are not friendly at all, which is a bit off-putting. Whenever I asked a question or placed an order, they act as though Im bothering them somehow.

The Boulder classic, no place else like it. Trident is one of the few places left where the baristas KNOW how to make espresso drinks and dont ask impertinent questions about how you want it: They just make it right. Ive been going there, when I can, for seventeen plus years and love it every time. Ive also scored a few great books from their $1 bin out front over the years.

Great coffee and friendly baristas, can usually find a table, beautiful outdoor seating area. 4/5 stars because the customers can be a little obnoxious. I very regularly have tables taken by people behind me in line who claimed them with bags or coats before ordering, tables “taken” by people not using them while they peruse the bookstore, etc.. Things that could be addressed with a simple sign or something by management.

Ok coffee, a sad homeless problem in the area which is visible, a terrible barista who actually scared me. I am a domestic abuse survivor, and recently moved on. I’m still gaining my strength and confidence. The man at the counter was terrible to me. I don’t know why, and I shouldn’t be so sensitive. I haven’t had this problem any where else in town and we’ve been here for 2 months now, trying out new coffee places all of the time. I will never go back to this shop. I would not have loved it without this man, but I will remember the place as absolute horrible because of him (piercing, mustache and beard, and his hair was in a kind of bun… don’t mean to be calling him out, but actually I kind of do. Dude, that was unacceptable behavior. Your birthing family should have taught you to treat anyone with more respect, of any gender identity.) This man (as he referred to himself) spews awful, insensitive and outrightly rude comments. And why weren’t the people around him saying something? Now I have to try to go back to being positive and spreading joy, instead of thinking of this terrible experience. I didn’t even get to make it into the book store part, so I can’t say anything about that.

Absolutely an excellent place for tea lovers who are looking for a quite, hip, and modern spot to hangout and read or enjoy company. It was very busy but still easy to grab a table in the back patio with a view. Dillan gave me a great oolong recommendation (even rinsing the leaves for me before my first infusion) and Ghram was always ready to refresh my pot of hot water. I will absolutely be back the next time I need to work or unwind away from home!

I love vibrant vibe in this cafe and makes the drink even more tastier. They use dragonfly coffee roasters beans which is Boulder based and has very rich in flavor. Trident also has great varieties of tea selections. The cafe is very friendly and you can see local artists works displayed on the wall all the time. And try to spend some time in their bookstore, because it is so fun. &&The history of this cafe is very interesting

A cozy and intriguing store full of character and insight. The staff is amazing! I had an interesting challenge for them and called ahead to see if theyd be willing to help me out. They were so kind about my situation and waited for me to arrive and they were all informed and expected me. I made a comment about my surprise with them all being aware of me coming in and they said they have this communication messaging system. So what I learned was they truly care about their customers, they have amazing communication between all team members, and they are passionate and great at what they do. I came in after a long and exhausting few days and I left there feeling like there are good places and good people in this world. They made a positive difference in my week and I will forever buy my books from them now. They earned my loyalty in just one visit!

It had been a long time since Ive been here and when I lived closer this was my favorite coffee shop. The people behind the counter were gracious and kind even though I was somewhat unused to the current structure of the shop. Even the man behind me in line warned me when my drink was about to Spill and that was quite nice of him. That kind of human-to-human caring is important to me these days. As I was attempting to leave I went down where the exit used to be. That now was sealed off. It seemed another man had gone down the same way and waited patiently for me to make the same mistake. LOL As I left I saw the arrows on the floor marking the book shop side exit. I did indeed enjoy my mocha latte at what was and still is one of my favorite coffee shops.

Ive never ordered a latte, and always order 12 oz cappuccinos. The woman with long, brown hair charges me for a 12 oz latte instead of a 12 oz cappuccino. Its happened twice now that Ive been overcharged for a latte when I ordered a cappuccino & I dont appreciate it. & she also did it a 3rd time today (4/9/21). Why does she charge me for a latte when I order a cappuccino? Maybe she should be replaced. She also charged me on 4/13 for a 12 oz latte again after asking me before I ordered if I wanted a cappuccino & then asking if I wanted it 12 oz, but I guess its cheaper this way in the long run since I wont tip her when she does this, so whatever.

While Pearl Street may be inundated with good coffee shops, Trident stands a head above the rest with its amazing back porch/garden area as well as its bookstore. The drinks are fairly priced for Boulder and Ive always liked the coffee I get here, but my favorite part is the atmosphere.Whether its a little nook surrounded by books or a cool and peaceful garden view on the back porch, Trident is one of my favorite places to meet with friends and get some work done, provided we can all find parking. Great barista-owned coffee shop on the west end of Pearl Street! The coffee is made with care, and the surprise is the wide selection of superb teas. The only downside is that they never have enough of the exceptional scones and pastries from Spruce Street Confections. But oh, the empanadas.... Mmmm. The bookstore side has a great selection of literature for all readers. Their $1 book cart has new surprises every week. Perhaps the jewel in this crown is the back patio. Both open-air and covered, a clever construction allows for a heated curtained area for year-round peaceful venue to sip and read. (picture from their site).
