They took the time to listen and help me find the right flash for my camera. Super friendly and knowledgeable. They even had some expired film!

So Ive been looking for a new lens for a while and Im glad I went here instead of Mikes Camera. Small little shop but honestly it doesnt need more space. They dont have everything displayed out so you do have to go to there website that redirects you to there eBay page. Will definitely be going here for all my camera needs.

Ive been a customer for at least five years and have found a lot of great old film gear there as well as sold or traded old equipment. Josh is very helpful and fair, and he has committed himself and his business to helping those of us who still shoot film. Much of his business is done via eBay, where he has an excellent rating, but its great to be able to call or drop by.

I dislike giving bad reviews to small businesses, because I think they are an important and underappreciated part of a community. Im going to make an exception though. I took several pieces of high-end digital equipment into Victory Camera recently, left it there and requested a price quote to buy it. I called them after a day of waiting, and was told that they wouldnt give me a price, and they would consider it if I could come up with a price to sell it to them. Now I understand the reason for this, I also believe that an operation that trades on evaluating and buying cameras should, well, evaluate and make an offer to buy cameras, not leave it to the customer to offer a price. The person I talked to offered no explanation of this approach, and treated me in a very offhand and rude manner, which I frankly have come to expect in Boulder, though not from a small business like this. Try Recycled Photo in Louisville, where you will be treated with respect, and they will do what the website says they will. Look elsewhere.

Came in with some camera gear that I was trying to sell, a few different items and I barely got the time of day. An employee looked at some of the stuff and then asked the owner to check some stuff out for some consulting and he came and barely looked at the items I had. Then after the quick glance, the owner said that none of the items worked for him and walked away. I’m a pretty understanding person if someone says hey we’re not looking for that gear right now I would say okay and be on my way but to just say it doesn’t work for him? I don’t know seemed pretty rude to me. Not going back here that’s for sure.

Very helpful and knowledgable staff. I came in looking for a starter film camera, and not only did they have a ton of options and cheap film, but the employee who helped me gave me really informative and useful advice. Will definitely be coming back!

This is a different kind of camera store. It only has a small area for receiving and hold guests, but the rest of their space is occupied by loads of camera equipment and camera repair experts. I would recommend this place to people that know what they want and are into used lens or shooting with film. This isnt a place to get inspired to turn your life over to photography. Browsing is not something that is possible here. The lens I purchased from them is great. I bought it and then walked into Mikes down the road and it caught the staffs eye and they could only say good things. However, I would looking for a used CPL filter to go with used lens. They had plenty, but they were all scratched or damaged and they were double the national average for a used 52mm CPL ($5).My advice, get your glass here, get your filters elsewhere.

Great quotation for second hand cameras and lenses. Went today to buy a Nikon D7000 and a 85mm AF f1.8 glass, the staff has been very helpful and received a fair quotation for my old d80. Recommended.

I initially posted this back in 2013. Since then Victory Camera has moved to Boulder on centrally located 28th St. The business has prospered. A continuing stream of products from bargain to collectible. An excellent place to sell or buy.Knowledgeable and well informed. Im lucky because the store is local, so I can go in, look at gear, discuss options and make informed decisions. But I assume their web store is just fine too.A source of very good advice for the world of film photography.

Severely disappointed. We visited from breckenridge to check out the shop, and even bought a camera. We payed a higher price instead of buying it online because we assumed since its a professional shop, we would at least know the camera works. Unfortunately we were wrong. The camera wont take film, which is literally the first thing you should check in a camera. If they skipped out that, then who knows how many faulty cameras go out their doors.

I come to the shop every so often just to hang out and see what kinds of things the owner has for sale. Hes quite knowledgeable about the old systems and can often help with minor fixes. The staff will shoot you straight about prices and conditions of products. You might not always like what they tell you about stuff you try to sell to them but youll get an honest answer.

Came all the way from platteville to apply for a position. As I sat there I over heard the employees and owner and how unprofessional and lack of knowledge they had. As soon I went up to turn in my application I was instantly told that my schedule doesn’t fit and that they need a full time person when the Ad clearly stated part time. I don’t see why a product photographer has to be there everyday for hours to take pictures of cameras.

Yall are nuts. First of all the first comment from mr. Cohen is funny. You are probably related since you have the same last name. This place is a joke. I read all the reviews and picked JOSHUAS store only to be very disappointed. He may buy and sell cameras but he dont know jack about lenses. And how rude he is for humiliating his new employees and embarrassing them i front of customers. Time and a place for that. You screwed me on my visit and you know it. My son works for 5280 magazine and i just spoke to him about writing a story about victory camera in boulder. Never again. And never will i refer to this place.
