Excellent customer service! Those I worked with were extremely helpful both over the phone and in-person. The rental equipment worked exactly as described and the check-in/check-out process was quick and easy. Would definitely recommend them and rent from them again in the future!

Charged me for an extra day for the lens, brought it back on time but wouldnt give me a refund for that extra day. Also they didnt recognize the lens cap that came with it so they charged me for the lens cap.

Wow these guys are the absolute best! I was looking for a very particular lens to rent for a client needing ultra macro photography. Jared knew exactly what type of lens I needed- MP-E 65 mm. He even gave me some pro tips on this special lens and getting it to focus. I am also renting a focusing rail to help with the manual focusing. Highly recommend this company on your lens and camera equipment!

I have rented from Pro photo many times and today I had a loose lens mount and brought it in for them to look at and Jared had it apart and fixed in about 3 minutes. Saved me from sending it in. I know repair is not their thing but he said bring it in and if he can do it he will. I recently rented from Pro Photo after receiving a recommendation from a friend. I was excited because I always rent online from places like BorrowLenses.com but I needed something quick and thought Id give it a shot. Unfortunately, my experience was not what the others here have posted ...First, I have a long-term relationship with BL and I found that the lens I needed as about $25 more than BL so I asked if they would price match. I was told on the phone it was no problem but when I emailed the owner, Jared, I got back a scathing email telling me about how their differentiators were price, service, and my willingness to support a local business ... but at the end of the day a lens is a lens to me - after all, its not like I was renting thousands of dollars in camera or grip equipment.Anyways, Jared reluctantly agreed to match the price and I picked up the lens on Friday afternoon for a weekend shoot. Everything was fine but when I went to use the lens (on Saturday morning) I discovered that focus wheel was messed up. Unfortunately since this was a local business there was no way to reach them after hours so I went on with my shoot because the show must go on (btw BL would have overnighted another lens or credited me 100% of the rental for bad equipment but I should have checked the lens on Friday so some of this was my fault)Regardless ... when I returned the lens is where the real problem occurred. For those of you reading this in the future, right now we are in the middle of the COVID crisis so all stores are living in fear and our governor requires patrons to wear a mask - unless you have a condition which prevents from wearing one - which I do. I returned the lens and told the gentleman that checked me back in that I had experienced a problem with the lens. I guess he was scared of me because he stood across the room and refused to come close enough to the equipment. He had his own mask own which made it difficult to understand so I asked him to either come closer or speak up because I couldnt understand what he was saying ... thats where the problem started.He responded Im trying to stay away from you since you arent wearing a mask ... now ... regardless of whether you believe there is any merit to the mask mandate or not .. and we can agree to disagree ... but the way I was treated after that was unfair and where I have the real problem with Jared and his team.I then responded oh, ok and I guess they took it as sarcastic. At that point Jared basically told me that I needed to leave his store and that I was not welcome. So he deliberately discriminated against me simply because of my condition and the fact that I wasnt willing to wear a mask! Maybe there would be something to the argument if we were at a ballgame full of people (oh wait, you cant do that right now) or a crowded bar (cant do that either) ... but there were literally THREE people in the entire room (myself, Jared, and his other associate). The fact is that although he may have the right to ask me to leave, it was unprofessional and not a great way to earn business.Im sure many will read this article and think Im the bad guy, but before you do business with a company such as this ask yourself how you would feel if Jared discriminated against people because of their skin color or ethnicity b/c discriminating against ones condition is basically the same.Also - I shared my story with an online blogger (Cliffs Notes) who called Jared for commentary but he was unavailable and never bothered to return the call so I guess my business wasnt that important to him. Its sad because I was excited to have a local company we could do business with as I am a film maker and rent a lot of gear when all it would have taken is a little professionalism and maybe an apology.

Pro photo rental was able to help make a crazy shoot I had possible by renting me their 5 gopros they had and ordering 4 more. Not only is everyone knowledgable and nice, they have a dog in the store.

These guys are top notch, the only rental place in Colorado that Ive found that carries Sony lenses. All the times Ive used their service so far has been quick and friendly. I became sick over the weekend of renting one of their lenses and called in first thing Monday morning about extending my rental. When I returned it the following day I was surprised to find that they didnt even charge me for the extension. Really great people work here and I wouldnt hesitate to suggest renting from them!

They also have stuff on sale from their rental stock every now and then. I bought a D 60 from them a couple years ago that was the best purchase Ive ever made. After talking to a competitor of theirs, I was ready to rent a lens. I decided to Google lens rental Boulder, and found Pro Photo. I called, and it was a world of difference in terms of customer service! Their competitor made me feel like a bother, every time I called. Pro Photo always treated me with a very courteous attitude from the first call, up until the time I rented and returned the lens! (not to mention their competitor was out of the one I wanted, and I had to settle for something else where Pro Photo had the 35mm f1.8). Upon returning the lens, I saw they offered sensor cleaning as a service. A few weeks later I decided to get it cleaned. I was again treated with outstanding service, and they cleaned my 70D sensor! Call these guys first!

This review is specifically addressing their customer service. Yeah, theyre really great. I spoke with Jared, who happened to be the owner, and he spent a good 10 minutes on the phone with me. He walked me through everything - cameras, lenses, options - answered all my questions and honestly was incredibly friendly. I felt extremely comfortable talking to him and asking him all my questions. You could say that he gave me a lesson on filming video with SLRs over the phone. Avoid at all costs! They are sharks! You must have a credit card and they keep their 4 day minimum secret and they honestly dont care. They even rejected $500 in cash to hire gear. Who ever owns this business needs to be more involved.
