Angie and her team were professional, friendly and most importantly competent! Grateful to have found them to help with my son’s car which had a failed starter kit. The folks were busy, hard working, and friendly. They checked my tires and found cracks between the treads and I was able to get the tires replaced, at a tire shop, before taking a road trip.

Our motorhomes exhaust developed a problem on our cross country trip to Boulder. Even though the vehicle is on the smaller size, options for finding a shop that will service one is a challenge. Chuck and his team repaired our exhaust (in one day!) without the luxury of a lift, which had to have been a big challenge for them. We are very grateful for them making this repair easier for us.

Chuck and the team are always very helpful. New truck for me and they filled me in on some good general maintenance tips to prolong fuel pump and where to go for some other engine needs. 10/10

Hands down the BEST automotive experience I’ve had in...well...for as long as I can remember. Chuck was super friendly, knowledgeable, quick to fit us in and even completed the work in just a few hours. The brakes on my daughter’s jeep have made an awful screeching noise forever and even the Jeep dealership told us it was “normal”. Chuck agreed it absolutely wasn’t and actually FIXED THE PROBLEM!! Went with my car for a regular oil change. Theyre all nice enough people but when I picked the car up, the mechanic told me the mass air flow sensor was broken and needed replacing. I just bought the car a week ago and went through an exhaustive pre purchase diagnostic with no such issue. I was perplexed but didnt immediately make the connection that the part was broken by the mechanic during the oil change.Right after leaving the shop, the car started overheating. I place with my own mechanic the day after and after a complete diagnostic and a $400 bill was told in no uncertain terms this was due to the broken part.I figured this will be sorted by talking to the manager at meineke. I ended up talking with the owner who took ZERO responsibility and had numerous excuses why he wasnt responsible for any of the damage.After reading the multiple 1 start reviews here I realized I was negligent to drop my car off here for service. I just thought nothing could go wrong with a simple procedure such as an oil change. I saved a penny and lost a pound.Buyers beware!

Went in for new vehicle inspection. Asked them to focus primarily on an oil leak I was warned about from a different mechanic. They said everything was fine no leak. A day later went to another different mechanic for inspection and they saw the oil leak. I was able to take a look and record videos of The leak, which was significant. Called this shop to let them know and they were not helpful or even took accountability for a poor inspection job.

WOW! These guys are FANTASTIC! Chuck (the owner) gave me a great price on a new muffler and his crew installed it in less than an hour. I highly recommend the Boulder Meineke.

These guys are super nice. Although they werent able to work on my car (2019 has newer refrigerant so they dont have the tools to work on cars with the newer systems) but due to this, they did not charge me a diagnostic whatsoever. I appreciate them!

UPDATE #2: Just called customer service again. When I voiced my concerns regarding how Meineke is trying to make it seem as if they are addressing the complaints on here when in fact they most certainly are not, they looked up my complaint and stated that in fact, no one had followed up on it. So despite the fact that I actually have an email from corporate saying they will not do anything and that its up to Chuck, apparently thats a lie and they just didnt bother investigating the problem. So, if youve got a comment on your negative review suggesting you call customer service when youve already done so, I would call them again and this time, mention that you think its pretty ridiculous that they are allowing someone who on a regular basis appears to be trying to rip people off by misdiagnosing problems, not fixing cars, and doing work that does not address the problems the car was brought in for, to use the Meineke name.UPDATE #1: After responding by recommending I contact the customer service that Id already contacted ... repeatedly ... Meineke pretended they had resolved the issue. I have received no contact from anyone at either customer service or at the location - meaning Chuck has not sent me the $127 refund for the labor involved in incorrectly diagnosing the problem - that a tow truck driver was able to diagnose without seeing the car - and unnecessarily yanking my starter, installing a new one, realizing hed misdiagnosed the problem, re-installing the old starter .... and telling me that my engine was seized when it most definitely was not seized. I cannot emphasize enough how strongly I would recommend people use literally ANYONE else for any car issue. This shop doesnt just not know what its doing, corporate refuses to hold them responsible for their screw-ups.ORIGINAL POST: My car would not start at my home & after confirming it wasnt the battery, I called Chuck, described the situation clearly (5 min.) & had car towed to the shop. Never used this shop before, never will again. Chuck called in am & said it was starter. Called ~2:30p, informed me hed yanked the starter & installed new one to find it was not the starter. Then asserted the engine was seized (put a pry bar in & cd barely get it to turn), I asked repeatedly how that was possible when all fluid levels were correct & mentioned belts (bc description involved belt sound), Chuck just kept saying he could barely turn the engine, & acted like he was doing me a favor only charging $127/labor as hed yanked new starter & reinstalled original. Next day, before car is picked up for tow, tow driver calls me & asks whats wrong, I give this individual the exact same 5 min. synopsis I gave Chuck & tow driver diagnoses problem immediately, w/o seeing car (serpentine belt/problem w/a/c). Tow driver ASKS Chuck if they pulled the serpentine belt first, Chuck says no and acts like thats a bizarre suggestion. Car is towed to other shop, its serpentine belt, repaired for ~$200. On my way home from getting car, I leave Chuck note asking for refund & expressing my displeasure w/his completely failing to correctly diagnose the problem, telling me my engine was seized, & unnecessarily removing my starter. No response. I call corporate, they take the complaint but never respond regarding what they can/cant do until 2 months later (today) when they inform me its up to Chuck. I specifically said I would hold off posting this review because everyone has their off days but I absolutely cannot believe that after being so utterly stupid w/the diagnosis, a person would not just do the right thing and reimburse the $127 they were paid to do nothing constructive and actually something damaging, namely yanking the starter for no reason.

Great experience called and asked about cost to put car on lift said there was none and to come right on in, had my mustang up the second I got there even on short notice. I Had a really bad exhaust leak and after a hour 1/2 had my car back no leak some new pipe and was on my way $150 parts labor and all, very knowledgeable staff. Car sounds great

Today made an appointment for a wheel alignment because they sent me a 20 dollars off coupon. Although I made an appointment, it took around 2 hours and 10 min. He didnt keep the word that he would call me after the car was ready to pick up, so I called him to know the car was ready. I had to wait nearby shopper center for the time. he didnt mansion whether the tax included or not when I left the car with them. when I picked up the car, he charged me 109 bucks, which was the maximum price that I checked on Google with a singular alignment. The coupon was no good at all.

My daughters car wasnt starting and she replaced the battery to discover it was the alternator. Her insurance company tow service brought the car to this Meineke shop where they told her to replace the serpentine belt as well as the alternator. The gave her an estimate of $966 for this work parts and labor!!!! I checked with my mechanic who gave me an estimate of $380 for the same work. I also went online and found an average cost of $475 in Boulder. I guess these guys saw a young (22 year old) woman with her car towed in and thought they could take advantage of her. We still had the shop do the labor (brought in our own parts )and they jacked their labor rates up to $160 per hour, estimated 1 hour and charged for 1.4 hours stating clearly that they charge higher labor rates when they dont get to gouge you on parts purchases. Please DO NOT patronize this business!!

Went in to have them check my AC before a road trip through the desert. The just charged the system and said it was all good, no check. When I got home I heard a loud hissing from an obvious AC leak. I called back immediately and they told me there was nothing they could do to help... First and last time using Meineke.

I was solicited by a mailer, so thought Id try it. Customer service poor. More concerned with upselling than doing what I came for. Didnt do everything I came for. Wont be back.Found out some time later that my oil had not been changed, even though I was charged for an oil change.

So easy, quick, friendly. Didn’t try to upsell me on anything, very direct and trusting. They also filled up air in my stroller tires just to be kind! Definitely will be back.

Great little shop that knows its stuff, won’t try to sell you things you don’t need, and will charge a very reasonable bill for what you do need.

I asked if he could put a new brake on a car that I have the parts for and he talked down to me and got triggered by the idea of not being able to mark up prices on parts that I already have. The conversation was quite disturbing and I hope he dosnt talk to others this way.

Chuck and his guys here are great! Always a reasonable wait and outstanding pricing. I had an issue where factory rotors were defective, when I came back in they swapped them out and upgraded my brake pads! They’ve gone above and beyond to keep a happy customer and they’ve got one!!

It looks great, it tucks up under the car nicely, and I’m super happy with how it turned out. The manager was super knowledgeable about my classic car and the entire process was quick and painless. I had this shop change my oil and flush my brake lines. After the service I took the car home, a 1 mile drive and put it in the garage for the night. The next morning my wife took the car and I noticed a large pool of oil. The car has never leaked oil before. I called the shop to ask them to check if the filter or oil pan bolt were loose. The shop gave me a hard time and said the way this car was built residue oil collects in the frame and drips out. Ive replaced the oil in this car numerous times and have never had any residual oil leave a large pool on the ground. Also, the car is a unibody, there is no frame for oil to collect into. We were treated rudely just asking for them to check the filter and bolt, a 5 minute job. If they cant take the time to check an issue that will potentially ruin an engine they are not worth giving them any business.

When I asked if they included the lubrication job in the oil change the owner told me that there are no grease fittings on that vehicle. d knowing my car I told him that there were eight grease fittings on there in which he then advised his mechanic to then go ahead and grease it. Its very unfortunate that the owner would come up with a quick answer about that work and avoid it leaving the impression that pervades the auto repair industry that they like to exploit peoples misunderstanding of vehicles and do sub par work.

Some of the best autoservice I have ever gotten (and Ive lived in a lot of places). Chuck is a stand up guy with a great team and shop. Fixed my breaks in one day...radio blew a fuse during process and they replaced it at no cost. Would recommend this service for anyone, especially young professionals as they will take great care of you and your car!

I am a novice when it comes to cars. I am always wary of being taken advantage of. I felt that the representative I spoke with was honest and transparent. It was a great experience and I would recommend this location to anyone who needs car assistance.

I had a 9:00AM appointment for an oil change but apparently no employees could be bothered to be at the shop by that time. I called after sitting in my car for a few minutes and could hear the phone ringing throughout the facility but there were no employees there to answer. I will never be making an appointment here again. In my opinion it would be worth your time to dive down to the Broomfield location where they have always given excellent service. Too bad the location in Boulder isnt held to the same standards.

I went in for a repair on my intermediate exhaust pipe. A quote I’d gotten from another place was to replace the entire thing but at Meineke they were able to just remove and replace the part that was actually damaged. So what was an $800 repair became a $130 repair. And they were so kind, fast, and gave me helpful information about what to watch for as other aspects of the exhaust pipe naturally wore down. I will definitely come back here!

Dropped my car off to fix a small issue and they were able to spot some other very important things that needed to be fixed that I would have never known about, and they still had everything finished the same day! The staff was very friendly, patient and took the time to clearly help me understand how different parts in my car worked together, totally understanding that know much about cars.

Chuck confirmed my 10 am appointment by phone at 9:02 am..dropped my vehicle off at 9:30 and when I call at 11:45 to check on status, chuck says “appointments just get you in the door, they don’t guarantee an appointment time” so don’t waste your time scheduling or doing anything in a timely manner with this place.

DO NOT use these guys, go anywhere else. I set up an appointment online, went in, and the second I walked into the door I was treated poorly. If you cant treat a customer nicely after talking for under 30 seconds then what makes you think they will treat your car right when you are not around? Customer services goes a long way. This place should learn that.

These guys were able to fix a suspension problem on my 07 Toyota RAV4 that had stumped several other mechanics. They did not charge me but then offered to do some other maintenance at a reasonable price. I let them do the work. And they completed the project in a few hours. I would certainly take my car there again.

Ill give them credit for being open during the holidays and for being able to make some urgent repairs on my car. However, the actual diagnosis and repairs did not include or accomplish everything that needed to be done.They claimed my alignment was fine when my caster was still rather off. My steering was not completely straightened out, and they failed to diagnose a shoddy wheel bearing.

Honest! Let me repeat that...Honest! And highly skilled mechanics. They go above and beyond. Put a few extra new parts on my wheel bearing fix without charging me. Twice I heard a little rattling noise under my hood, brought it to this location, they checked it out and handed me back the keys, because I didnt need to fix anything. I can only speak for this particular Meineke Location. 28th Street in Boulder you rock!

I brought my car in for a diagnosis regarding a faulty flasher, thinking that something electronically was malfunctioning and needed replacement. They quickly found the problem to be a burnt out bulb (didnt know how I missed that in the first place) and replaced in on the spot for very cheap. The service was quick and effective, the staff very friendly and honest, and I walked out a happy customer!

On my first visit to Meineke, Chuck and Andrew were able to diagnose why my coolant thermostat that I had just replaced myself over the weekend was causing the engine to overheat almost immediately. They were able to replace my new thermostat that broke when I installed it and started the engine to burp it. They were able to get the car running fine all in the same afternoon by close of business and Andrew stayed later to show me how why and how what I installed broke when I picked the car up. Definite learning experience for me.On my second visit to Meineke this past Saturday, Ben and the team confirmed and diagnosed the cause of the P00138 Code, got the necessary part delivered quickly, and did the install. The check engine light was off when I picked the Jeep up in the afternoon and its running good. Thanks again Meineke Team.

Highly recommend this shop! I had my check engine light on and went to other mechanics who told me it was just a sensor, but no matter how many i replaced, the check engine light kept coming back on. Took my Explorer to this shop and their mechanic Bacca was able to find the true issue of leaks in my intake. My experience at the shop was wonderful and I enjoyed talking with the owner Chuck. These guys are great and trustworthy! If you need a mechanic go see these guys!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I called ahead to fix my alternator. When I bring it My car died right there. They subsequently said they’re too busy and I quote: “How you get around is not my problem.”

WOMEN BEWARE. Rude customer service and outright lied to me in order to overcharge.I went to Meineke today with a brake light issue. I will say that the only good part of this experience was Erik, who was lovely and courteous and has a sweet dog. But otherwise my experience was appalling. I walked in and the younger man at the front desk was on the phone with a customer. No problem. Several minutes passed. He hung up that call. Then proceeded to take a personal call, and chat about nothing. Ten minutes passed and it took Erik walking through and nicely asking him to attend to me before he hung up asked what I needed. I had to prod to get the estimated cost of the diagnostic. Wouldn’t have told me if I didn’t ask. All still would’ve been ok, if I got good mechanical advice. I’m looking for a mechanic not a therapist. But then they straight up tried to scam me.The rude young guy called me and said it’d be $402 to fix my car. That it needed a new combination switch. This set off alarm bells in my head, so I declined the fix and paid $57 for the diagnostic check. I do many of my own car repairs and thought it was very odd that, with my brights, turn signals and headlights working fine, I’d need a new combination switch. In fact I wasn’t sure that the combination switch even controlled the brake switch. I consulted with two other mechanics, and they both told me the same thing. The combination switch doesn’t control the brake lights. That’s a separate switch under the brake pedal. Which costs at the upper end no more than $45, and took me, an amateur, mere minutes to replace. Meineke stated that they charge around $102/hour for labor. So either the person who worked on my car is immensely ignorant about his job, and works at the speed of molasses, or a shady mechanic at Meineke saw a woman in a sundress walk in and thought I looked like a person who doesn’t know cars and could be scammed. Either way I totally wasted $57 to be told my car needs the wrong part.EDIT: I was so upset about this scam, I forgot to say that my passenger window was down (it had rained) and my headlights were left on, when I picked up the car. Literally the worst place.EDIT 2: I submitted a complaint online, and via phone, as the owner suggested. Nothing was done but a vague form email sent to me about “thanks for helping us improve our customer service.” This wasn’t just a bad experience. This was a business pulling a blatant, easily verifiable scam. Actually caring about this would’ve at minimum resulted in an investigation and a refund for the fraudulent car inspection results. Obviously the owner doesn’t care. Will not be changing my review.
